"Pamela Isley?" Jamie Allen, teacher of two years, called out to his class of soon-to-be jailbirds. That's where just about everyone in Gotham ended up these days. There or the asylum.

"Here." The curvy redhead lazily responded. Pammy was not a morning person. She resented having to wake up at such ungodly hours to be corralled and "taught". The only redeeming factor were her friends Selina and Harleen.

"Selina Kyle?" The black haired raven rolled her eyes at him and flipped him the bird. She hated English class. Actually she hated most classes. The only reason she came to this one instead of hanging out with the fucking ding-a-lings was because she had this class with her new friends from gymnastics.

The two girls on either side of her snickered. He ignored her and continued on with the roll.

"Harleen Quinzel?" A small girl in the back of the class's hand enthusiastically shot up as she smiled at him. She just oozed excitement. Not only did she have her two friends she made over the summer, she had them with her in her favorite subject.

The three of them worked hard over the summer, practicing together long after everyone else went home. If they didn't make the team, surprised wouldn't be the word. They perfected the tryout routine and created their own for fun.

"When do we find out if we made it?" Pammy texted their group chat as Mr. Allen began going over the syllabus.

"Results should be posted sometime this week. I think Thursday." Harley responded. As she looked up she caught a glimpse of the love of her life passing the class. She quickly returned to her phone to change the subject before she was stuck in a conversation that wasn't about him.

Harls: Do you guys know Bruce Wayne?

Red (Pammy):. Who doesn't?

Kitty (Selina): Fucking duh

Harls: You guys know what I mean. Do either of you know him know him?

Red: Yeah we're friends, why?

Harls: I need some Bruce in my life.

Kitty: Ugh. He's not all that.

Red: He can't be that bad.

Red: He *is* kinda hot.

Kitty: He's not that hot. He's actually kind of a dick I hear.

Harls: I can take dick...

Red: Harleen!

Kitty: Girl, he's not worth it.

"No texting in class." Mr. Allen interrupted.

"Would you prefer we talk out loud then?" Selina asked.

"One more and you're out of here, Miss. Kyle."

She rolled her eyes at him again and went back to her phone.

Kitty: I think I'm just gonna leave tbh. The idiots are skipping today.

Harls: cmon you're better than them. Let's just focus. We can talk after class.

Red: You're so boring Harls.

Selina knew about Bruce. She knew him very well before he left. She knew the Bruce that was her first real boyfriend. She knew the Bruce that took her virginity then left. He left her almost immediately. She understood that he was in mourning after his parents passed, but he could've at least said goodbye. He could've told her he was back. It felt like he was intentionally avoiding her. She couldn't help but to wonder why. It may have something to do with Jack. Their relationship wasn't a very well kept secret. But as long as they neither confirmed or denied it it was just a rumor. She knew about their history. Jack was in the wrong. Jack was always in the wrong. Maybe that's what attracted her to him. She was always in the wrong too. They could be in the wrong together.

Red: Hey, Kitty, you okay? Pammy texted Selina directly

Kitty: Yeah, why?

Red: You just stopped responding and you've been staring into space for like 30 minutes.

Kitty: Yeah lmfao I really think I'm gonna leave here soon.

Red: Well I'll see ya around then. Be safe.

And With Pammy's blessing Selina raised her hand.

"I need to go to the bathroom." She interrupted whatever Mr. Allen was talking about.

"There's only a few minutes left in class, Miss. Kyle. Can you wait a moment?"

"I can bleed in you seat, or you can let me go Mr. Allen." She challenged.

He sighed and waved her out. This is going to be a long year.

"Where's your bitch, Jack?" Harvey asked throwing darts at the board a few feet in front of him. Bane challenged him to fives and he'd be damned if he lost his title to this fucker.

"My bitch is minding her business, Har-vey. Why don't you try that?" Jack asked uninterested. She'd actually just texted him that she was on her way to them. He was vaguely interested in what made her decide to attend one period and leave halfway through. Not interested enough to find out but he did wonder for a second.

Harvey ignored Jack as he watched Bane closely. Jack almost got annoyed that he was ignored, but he was already annoyed that this big bitch Cobblepot was sitting in his room shaking in his boots.

"Why are you here?" Jack asked a little louder than he meant to.

"I-i..." Oswald began

"Don't you fucking stutter at me that shit is pathetic and annoying. Why. Are. You. Here."

Oswald cleared his thought and formulated his sentence before speaking. "You summoned me."

"I summoned you?" Jack asked disgusted. "Well I'd like to discharge you now. Please leave."

Oswald thought for a moment before gathering himself to leave. Jack shot up angrily and got in his face.

"Where the fuck do you think you're going?" Jack screamed at him.

"You just told me to leave!" Oswald practically whispered.

"Leave him alone Jack." Bane said taking his next throw.

"Suck my dick, bitch." Jack said turning away from the fat fuck practically pissing himself. "You get a drop on my floor you're gonna lick it up."

Oswald looked helplessly to Harvey. Harvey gestured subtly to sit back down.

Jack returned to his seat as Selina entered the room. She beelined to him and took her place on his lap. They shared a quick peck before Selina noticed Oswald.

"What the fuck is that?" She asked Jack. Before he could respond Oswald chimed in.

"I think you meant who. MY name is Oswal-"

"Jack why is it talking to me?" Selina interrupted.

Jack glared at Oswald. "I don't know. Why don't you ask it?"

They both stood and sauntered over to Oswald. She leaned over him placing both hands on the arms of his chair. "What makes you think you have permission to speak to me?" Jack passed him and placed his hand on the back of his chair.

Speechless, he glanced down her shirt for just a moment. By the time he could look back up Jack looped his around around Oswald's neck choking him and forcing him to look up at Selina. She swiftly punched him square in the nose surely breaking it. "Bane. Harvey." Jack called to them nodding is head for them to come over. They cut their game short to take part in the action. Jack dragged Oswald up out of his chair and handed him off to Bane who held him in a full nelson. The other three took turns beating the shit out of him.

Bruce didn't miss Gotham. It was the worst place he'd ever been and he resented the misfortune of calling it home. He'd spent the past few years travelling the world learning everything he could. There was nothing high school could teach him that he didn't already know. He had international friends and allies. The only thing Gotham could offer him was revenge. Revenge on Jack. Revenge on Selina. Revenge on the bastard that took his parents. That was the only reason he decided to return. He would get revenge on all of them. He didn't know how but he knew he would. It was all he could think about during his first half of his day. Every period he found time to leave class to just walk and think. He praised lunch. He thought he'd have time to just think, but he had no such time as he had lunch with his football friends Roman Sionis and Tommy Elliott. Luckily they found a couple of nerds to talk to giving Bruce at least a little thinking time.

Bruce knew that Selina only started to date Jack to spite him. They had nothing in common. Selina was his. Everyone knew that. Jack knew that. Jack knew everything about Bruce. They were best friends way back when, but Jack had a serious boundary problem. Selina was one of those boundaries. His parents were one of those boundaries. Jack shit on both of them. Jack was the root of most of Bruce's anger. He hadn't seen him yet since he'd been back. He's probably hiding. Little bitch. Jack is probably scared shitless because he knows I'm looking for him. That's why he's not here today. Bruce thought gritting his teeth. Few things made him more mad than his ex-best friend. Bruce made a vow to himself. All of them would get it on sight.

"So, Harleen," Jonathan Crane began. "How was your first day?" They didn't live far from the school so they walked home every day together.

"It was so good! I had one class with both Pam and Selina then one class with Pam and I was supposed to have lunch with Selina, but she never showed. I think she went to skip with the delinquents she hangs out with all the time."

"Nave, Dent, and Bane?" Jonathan asked disinterested. He wasn't here to talk about Selina and Pam ands everyone else. He wanted to hear about Harley.

"Yeah. I actually heard a rumor that she's dating Jack." Harley continued as she bounced down the sidewalk. He zoned out for a moment. He didn't want to talk about Jack and Selina because he knew that this conversation would inevitably lead to...

"...Bruce Wayne." Harley gushed.

"I met him today. He doesn't talk much." Jonathan sighed.

"You met Bruce Wayne today?" She squealed grabbing him arm tightly. He blushed at the sudden physical contact and tried to play it cool but all he could do was squeak out a weak "Yes..."

"Tell me all about him! What does he like, who are his friends, what does he do for fun?"

"I don't know, Harleen. As I said he doesn't talk much." He snapped.

She let him go and pouted. "Sor-ry!" she whispered crossing her arms.

Jonathan went to apologize before Harley interrupted him.

"I'll see you later." she said cutting across her lawn to her front door.

Good job, Jonathan. He scolded himself as he crossed the street.
