'Sound/Piano Beat'
I couldn't think of any way to describe a sound of a piano so I just used plink (Rubs back of forehead)
Summary: Sasuke always loved the sound of a piano, he almost felt like the flawless sound of piano keys beat with his heart in melody. While walking through the streets of Konohagakure, he felt his heart start to beat, and a beautiful sound flooded his ears. All other noises went void as he couldn't help but follow the sound of his heart until he found a secluded female blonde playing a sorrowful tune on a piano. He felt his pained heart skip a beat... Slightly OOC Sasuke x Female Naruto
Naruto and Sasuke will be 16 in this story, not twelve, starting right after The Land of Waves arc. They will still be wearing the same clothes and stuff just like the original Naruto, just older to make it less weird. Also, they will be a little taller. They will have the same personalities and stuff; I'm just trying to get across nothing will be different about them from the original Naruto except their height and age.
Even more annoying Sakura ;)
Hey :) I would like to get out a couple of warnings before I start this fanfiction. This fanfiction is going to have a very sad and peaceful tone to it. If that isn't what floats your boat, you might not enjoy this story. This fanfiction is going to touch on some very sensitive topics that I can't really say without spoiling parts of the story. Also, I've never played piano before, so if I mess up some stuff with my information feel free to tell me. Whilst you read this story, I would like you to imagine this with a slow, peaceful, and calming atmosphere. Except for the heated and loud moments. Female Naruto speaks with a very light and peaceful tone. Now, I hope you enjoy the read.
Inspirations from: Your Lie in April and I Want to Eat Your Pancreas
Chapters will not be consistent; I have school to worry about and I'm putting hours in of revisions and making sure every word fits perfectly in these chapters. Probably one 10k chapter every week that I can.
I will read and consider any recommendations for the story and criticisms, so feel free to leave a review, or PM me.
Oh, also if you want to see how Naruto looks, the picture in the thumbnail is how she looks. She just wears different clothing, and a much calmer face. Image by Sukja, full credit goes to her/him. I still edited it to hopefully try and avoid getting the story taken down because of copyright.
NOTE READ: I'm currently not using the female Naruto design on the profile picture due to no response from Sukja yet.

Uchiha Sasuke clenched his rapidly beating chest with his hand while running down the streets of Konoha, pushing away anyone in the way of the 16-year-old boy.
'Plink Plink'
The melody of the piano sped through his heart and to his ears in an indescribable beat. A beat that Sasuke could only describe as an Angel's beat (wink).
"Hey, where are you going to in such a rush kid?" A bulky man would say while towering over the young Uchiha. "I'm talking to you kid! Hey!"
Sasuke couldn't hear a word the man said, he could only hear one thing right now, and only cared about one thing right now. He pushed past the man without a glance back and continued to run, only faster.
He was starting to get further from his usual safe zone in Konoha, straying as far as the outer corners with less shinobi protection. He was the last of the Uchiha clan, one of the most well-renowned clans in all of the fire country. Other villages would do anything to get their hands on the raven-haired boy, but he could care less right now.
'Plink Plink Plink'
The sound of the melody was getting harder in his chest, he could feel it! He was almost there.
Houses in his vision were slowly getting less and less common, and the only people he saw now were poor people and a few shinobi here and there. The raven-hair noticed that beyond the now desolate houses there was something he had never imagined existed in this village. In front of him he saw beautiful plains of tall grass. He quickly ran through the plains, following his heart.
Sasuke stopped as the beat in his heart slowed down and he could clearly hear around him again, being able to hear the exact same beat but now through his ears. He felt a strong breeze go by him, forcing him to put his elbow up to cover his face. The grass went up to his knees and moved with his clothes. He looked ahead to finally see it. The magnificent piano sitting in the plains all alone, except the female sitting on it.
Sasuke was left absolutely shell shocked, he was never one for females, but this one… this girl he felt almost connected to. While paralyzed in shock, he watched the girl slide her fingers across the piano pressing the exact keys to make the satisfying sound while having her eyelids closed.
She had a slight smile on her face clearly showing she was enjoying playing the sad tune. She was wearing a white dress, the slightly poofy skirt of the dress reaching the bottom of her knee. Her golden hair flowing in in the wind, reaching her mid-back area.
Sasuke woke up out of his shock, starting to take steps towards the divine female, not looking away from the beautiful sight of a girl in front of him. There were no leaves crunching, no sounds other than the piano, and the fluorescent grass that looked almost otherworldly.
The girl stopped the music, startling Sasuke thinking he had been caught, but she started to play again.
As the young Uchiha started to get closer he realized his footsteps were in sync with the calm melody of the piano. He quickly snapped out of his trance and started to pick up speed.
He was still surprised by the spectacle of his surroundings, he wished he knew of this place when he needed some peace and quiet. He just assumed no one knew of it because it was so far out in the village outskirts, and this girl must have found it a nice location for playing the piano.
Although he had found the source of the melody, he couldn't understand why his heart had heard this beat all the way from the central area, he just shrugged it off as one of those weird phenomena though.
He had enough of this suspense, enough of racking his head from his heart acting so weirdly, and his body in fact. Even though he didn't want to be rude to someone so innocent-looking, beautiful, and playing the piano so unbelievably well, he knew he had to keep up his persona.
"Hey Dobe, what are you doing out here," The raven-haired boy asked arrogantly.
The blonde-haired beauty flinched and stopped the tune faster than he could breathe. She slowly turned around to look into the black orbs glaring directly at her.
She was clearly shaken, not expecting to see anyone.
Sasuke looked into her shining blue eyes blushing a little, but quickly hiding it wondering what the hell he was doing.
"U-um, h-how did you find me..." She muttered out fearfully.
"What do you think I'm going to do, kill you? Calm down, I was asking what you were doing Dobe."
"I was playing piano." she replied while looking at her feet and slightly tilting her head to the left. She was toying with her fingers adorably.
"I heard the sound of an immaculate piano performance, so I followed it and found you here, how did you get so good?" Sasuke asked genuinely and not in a cocky tone for the first time in years.
She looked up in surprise as a very small red tint grew on her perfect cheeks.
Silence passed for what felt like an eternity and all that could be heard was the sound of the warm breeze.
Sasuke didn't keep his stare off her, feeling hypnotized by her sweet innocent look, not noticing the growing red color on her face from getting stared at so intensely.
The blonde-haired pianist finally spoke, "Oh, s-so you like my piano? Thank you, no one has ever said that before, do you p-play piano?"
Sasuke couldn't help but feel surprised by her words, no one has ever complimented her? No way.
Now that I think about it, I've never seen her in the village, there's no way I would miss her. Does she live out here all alone? Not even a single soul to compliment her? He would think to himself.
Sasuke couldn't help but feel a little sympathy for the girl but moved on to his reply.
"Yes, I used to play a long time ago with someone, but it's been forever. Ever since I was conceived, I have felt connected to the piano, it can make someone feel many different emotions. Your piano though was completely different, I have never heard something so beautiful in my life. I know this may sound weird, but I could hear it all the way out in the central area of the village, I could hear it in my heart." Sasuke spoke, feeling like an idiot for saying the last part.
"Oh, h-how odd"
"There's no way no one has ever complimented you, do you live out here alone?"
"Yes, I've grown to love these fields and have never left them for the past 4 years, except to go out of the village sometimes for sightseeing."
"WHAT!" Sasuke yelled, so surprised that he even forgot about his cool guy persona for a moment.
The female giggled, "My home is further back in the plains, there's lots of fruit bushes, some lakes, a couple of trees, some cattle, and the other stuff I need to live."
Sasuke calmed back down into his cooler attitude, but still a little baffled by her statement.
"I have the day off from shinobi work today, and no one is waiting for me at home. I still can't get the melody of your piano out of my head. Would you mind if I stayed and talked with you for some time?" Sasuke said completely uncharacteristically.
"I'm sorry about your guardians, and no I wouldn't mind… umm what's your name?" She said, now looking back at Sasuke with a cute grin and small blush that every man would die for.
"The name is Sasuke, Sasuke Uchiha, yours?" He would ask, now looking away from the figure in front of him while crossing his arms, hiding a blush.
"That's a nice name Sasuke! My name is Naruto Uzumaki!"
"Hn" is all Sasuke would say while walking over to the long piano bench and sitting down while the now named Naruto scooted to the left. The bench was long enough to cover the entire piano, leaving plenty of room between them.
"Do you at least remember how to play any songs at all?" Naruto would ask, still looking at Sasuke.
"Although it has been a long time, I do remember how to play a couple of songs." He would reply.
Sasuke would look down at the long piano, having flashbacks of his earlier childhood. He put his fingers down on the keys and started to play the right side, hoping Naruto would know the song and be able to play on the left in sync.
'Plink Plink, Pink plink plink'
Naruto would smile, instantly recognizing the melody of the song. She would put her fingers on the keys and start to play her part in perfect sync with Sasuke.
Sasuke would also let a small grin, but being too small to notice. He would start to feel his heart beat with the tune of the song and would get more comfortable in his seat, feeling like he was sinking into another world.
Naruto was playing the song absolutely flawless, while Sasuke was also playing well, it had been a while and he was messing up on some notes though.
Naruto with her eyes closed would say lightly, "Calm down, feel the song better Sasuke, you're messing up."
Sasuke wouldn't really understand what she meant by feeling the song, but would try to listen to her advice and close his eyes, trying to play off his heart.
His melody was slowed down, more synced with Naruto's than before. He could almost feel a sound wave between him and Naruto, their fingers danced at the same speed. Although he was less elegant than Naruto, he was no longer missing any notes, creating an even wider smile on Naruto's face.
'Plink Plink, Plink'
"See Sasuke, you mustn't stress while playing the piano, just let go of society and the world." Naruto would say in her delicate, and graceful voice. She would start to pick up speed with her fingers and her eyelids still closed.
I see why she doesn't come into Konoha; no man wouldn't be attracted to her, especially with that cute voice and looks. Too many perverts. Sasuke would think humorously.
Sasuke would get the message from her increasing the pace with her fingers. He would also start to pick-up speed.
"Hn, is that a challenge, don't try me." Sasuke would say, now with his fingers dancing even faster than Naruto's.
Naruto would giggle and also start to go even faster.
Now the song seemed much faster and sounded more like a cacophony of piano beats, but it only kept getting faster. Sasuke was also messing up multiple notes now, unlike the still somehow flawless Naruto, even at full speed.
"Silly Sasuke, don't get cocky" Naruto would say going even faster, now fully laughing in an unchangeable light voice. Making the laugh sound cuter than hearty.
Sasuke would let out an annoyed grunt escape his mouth as he snapped his eyes open and started to play more intensely. However, still to no avail, he couldn't keep up with her speed, let alone not miss any notes.
Naruto would stop playing, putting her hand up to her mouth still laughing.
"Why did you stop playing, and why are you laughing! I was going to catch up to you!" Sasuke would say fiercely glaring daggers at Naruto, knowing what he said was a lie.
Naruto would open her eyelids and look back at Sasuke, "Nothing, nothing, I'm sorry, I just think your competitive attitude is cute." Naruto would say while calming her laugh down to a smile.
Sasuke would instantly drop all attitude and anger in his eyes at the act of innocence, now blushing back at the gleaming blue eyes.
"Y-y-you Dobe..."
"What's wrong, did I say something wrong?" Naruto would ask genuinely, looking more innocent than Sasuke had ever seen Sakura look when she tried to make those cute innocent looks.
"You're not just supposed to blurt that stuff out!"
"O-oh, I'm sorry, I haven't socialized much in my life and I was just saying what was on my mind." Naruto would say now embarrassed, also realizing what she just said.
She was just saying what was on her mind, that I was cute... come on, really Naruto, you just made it seem worse! Sasuke would think with his blush growing, no longer hidden.
Sasuke couldn't keep it in much longer and let out a small chuckle.
Naruto's face slowly grew in Surprise with her mouth a hanging open slightly.
"Is something wrong?" Sasuke would ask
"N-No, you just haven't seen that happy this entire time, I thought you were a pessimist or something."
"YOU DOBE!" Sasuke would shout, glaring at Naruto once again.
Naruto would start to giggle, turning into another cute laugher, it seemed she couldn't change her voice in laughter or a shout. Sasuke would also start chuckling a little, now looking away, not wanting Naruto to see him chuckling.
Sasuke worked into full-out laughter, laughing with Naruto.
Naruto was happier than she had been for a very long time, and surprisingly, so was Sasuke. Although he would never say it.
The long grass would blow elegantly while Naruto and Sasuke were both still laughing with smiles on their faces, except Naruto couldn't see Sasuke's.
Sasuke could've sworn he felt his tainted heart beat heavier than it had in years.

The Next Day
Playing Afternoon of Konoha in The Background
Sasuke was walking down the populated streets of Konoha morning, the villagers setting up their markets. He never enjoyed the morning because of how loud it was with all the shops getting prepared, he would rather be doing other things than having to meet up with his sensei this early.
He's going to be late anyway; this is just pointless. Sasuke would think while rolling his eyes.
"SASUKKKKEEEE!" A certain pink banshee would be yelling while running through the streets, closing in on Sasuke fast, bumping into everyone in her way carelessly.
"Oh, kami save me." Sasuke would mumble under his breath while starting to fast walk aggressively, making him look like he hadn't made it to the toilet in time. It was already too late though as he saw a familiar girl walking with him on his right side.
He would slow back down realizing his fate was already sealed and looked to his side with the pink-haired girl.
"Sakura, you practically live on the other side of the village, now tell me, why are walking with me?" Sasuke would say in his normal uninterested tone.
"I wanted to walk with the great Uchiha obviously! Sooooo, do you want to go out for dinner tonight!?" Sakura would ask, wearing a blush and smile while looking directly at the Uchiha, unaware of her surroundings.
"Just because we're teammates doesn't mean we're any closer Sakura, and I have plans tonight anyway." Sasuke would respond, not even paying Sakura with a stare.
"O-oh okay, may I ask what plans you have?"
"No idiot"
"Okay Sasuke-Kun!"
He's so mysterious and cool! Sakura would think to herself.
"So, let's go to breakfast then!" Sakura would say, not giving in.
"Go to hell"
"Okay Sasuke-Kun!"
Is she even listening at this point... Sasuke would think to himself.
Sasuke and Sakura eventually reached the bridge where their sensei, Kakashi, asked them to meet. It was a long and painful walk for Sasuke, and a great walk for Sakura.
A male that looked like a Sasuke want-to-be was already standing there with his back leaning against the bridge railing.
"Hello, Sasuke and Sakura." The boy would say with a very clearly forced smile and voice that made him sound like a video game NPC.
"Hello Sai!" Sakura would say walking with Sasuke, making sure she could stand next to him.
"Hn," is all Sasuke would reply with.
"Kakashi should be here soon." Sai would speak without losing the creepy smile.
"Yeah right," Sasuke and Sakura would say in sync.
{}{}{}{}{}
3 Hours Later
No longer Playing Afternoon of Konoha
"Yo!" A white-haired cyclops would say, appearing on the bridge in a cloud of smoke.
"SENSEI! IT'S BEEN 3 HOURS!" Sakura would screech.
"Calm down Sakura, it wasn't my fault I promise."
"Oh, then who's was it?"
"I saw a helpless elderly woman who needed help, so I only did what any hero like me would do."
He's a horrible liar. Team 7 would all think while facepalming.
"At least make it good Sensei." Sasuke would say apathetically, no longer having a staring contest with the sky.
"Yes! I brought great news! I have signed you up for the upcoming Chunin exams!" Kakashi would say along with an eye smile. His mask prevented him from showing emotions with his mouth, meaning he had to use his one visible eye to show emotions.
"Ah, that must be why I saw those sand Shinobi earlier this morning. I was worried we might be being attacked." Sai would say in the same spot from where Sasuke and Sakura found him and with the same smile.
What a freak. Sasuke would think to himself.
"That would be correct Sai. Now I have things to be doing today." Kakashi would respond while disappearing in another cloud of smoke.
"IS THAT ALL I WAITED 3 HOURS FOR!" Sakura would screech again.
"Do you ever stop yelling?" Sasuke would ask Sakura, his eyes closed and his eyebrow twitching.
"Yes Sasuke-Kun," Sakura would whisper
{}{}{}{}{}
Sasuke Now Walking Home, with Sakura of course following him...
"Sakura..."
"Yes Sasuke-Kun!"
"Why are you following me home?"
"I wanted to see what your plans were!"
"WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU!"
"My undying love for you." Sakura would say in a dramatic voice while hugging herself.
Sakura was always uncomfortably obsessive with the young Uchiha, but ever since they got put on a team and she had him all to herself, she had been even worse. First, she cut the bottom rear of her shirt more, making her flat ass more visible. Then, during the mission at The Land of Waves, she had been caught in Sasuke's room stalking his sleep.
Sasuke was seriously starting to get disturbed, but he knew he was going to have to get used to the pink-haired banshee if he wanted to become A Chunin.
"Leave me alone, you've already extended your walk home, I'm not going to tell you any of my plans." Sasuke would say, looking down the path in front of him.
"But Sasuke! It's such a nice day out!" Sakura would say without getting the hint.
Sasuke would stop walking for a moment and look up at the sky. The clouds were beautiful, you could see some blue behind the clumps of fluff making a nice-looking blend. He wasn't sweating, nor cold.
"Your right... It is the perfect weather." Sasuke would say quietly, almost whispering, but no word from Sasuke ever goes unheard from Sakura when she's around.
Sasuke would look over to Sakura to see her eyes gleaming in excitement. "So where are we going! To the stone heads! Ooohhhh this is so romantic! I thought you would never agree! Although o-"
"I DIDN'T MEAN THE PERFECT WEATHER TO SPEND THE DAY WITH YOU, IDIOT!" Sasuke would shout at Sakura angrily while getting disapproving glares from the villagers, but he could care less.
Sakura would start to tear up, "B-b-but Sasuke-Kun..."
"NO BUTS!"
Sakura would start to cry like an infant who just had their ice cream taken away while running away. However, she wasn't going to let this go off easily. She was going to find out what he meant by the perfect weather, she could care less about anything else right now.
"I swear to kami, if he's getting romantic with someone else, I'll kill them!"
"Oh, Sasuke-Kun!" Ino Yamanaka would say, looking at the stunning sun above her while sitting on top of the Yondaime's stone head.
"Ino..."
"Y-Yes Sasuke-Kun" Ino would respond, surprised by Sasuke's serious tone.
Ino would look to her right to see Sasuke with his eyes closed and a blush covering his cheeks. He was slowly getting closer with his mouth slightly open.
Ino would follow the same movements before getting wiped from Sakura's mind.
"NOOOOOO!" Sakura would yell panicked waking up from her thoughts, not paying attention to all the looks she was getting. She would fall to her knees, "I need to find out what it's the perfect weather for. He probably just means training, right... right? Yeah, that's it, I'm overthinking this."
{}{}{}{}{}
A Couple of Hours Later
Sasuke could never help but feel astonished by the sight of the gorgeous plains in front of his eyes every time he saw them. Earlier when he mentioned the perfect weather, he meant the perfect weather to hang out with his newly made friend, Naruto. He wanted to play some piano to get his mind off some things recently. He hadn't really had any friends since the massacre of his clan and family, but he truly related with Naruto. They both lived alone without any family to help them through their tough times. They both had a deep love for the piano. They both even hated the same type of people and foods, although Sasuke of course hated more people than Naruto. For the first time in a long time, he felt somewhat happy. Although, even though they both related well, they both of course had their differences, but just a few.
He remembers last night after they had stopped laughing and went to walk around the plains. They talked for a while, finding out a bit more about each other. Sasuke told Naruto that the Uchiha clan was massacred by his brother, Itachi Uchiha. He also told her that he was a shinobi, and about his adventure at The Land of Waves. Naruto talked about how she never had parents from birth, her hobbies, favorite piano songs, etc. They both shared plenty of laughs and found lots of beautiful scenery. They had a great time, and Sasuke was excited to hopefully do the same thing today for the rest of the afternoon.
Thousands of times better than relaxing with that pink-haired banshee. He would think to himself
Sasuke treaded through the tall grass that was tickling his knees in his short black pants with some shinobi gear. When he was walking through the grass thinking about what songs he remembered how to play, he heard a familiar sound that made him grin. There was no way Sasuke could ever not be able to tell whether a piano song was being played by Naruto or not. Her melody was simply inexplainable in words, it was the type of melody that you could feel the emotions from. Sasuke could read that Naruto was happier today by the tone in the melody. The other day she played slowly and sadly, now she was still playing slowly and delicately, but with a happier song.
Sasuke continued to walk, his heart beating to the melody of the tune, and his footsteps soon synced with the song.
But before long he quickly snapped his eyelids open and started walking regularly again. He couldn't figure out why he kept doing that, and weirdest of all, why his heart beat in sync with her melody. Although, after he got close enough to see the piano, his heartbeat went back on track.
He stopped for a moment to enjoy the sight of the absolutely beautiful figure in front of him. She was wearing a black dress today with a slightly slimmer skirt that reached her shoes this time. Two small blue bows holding her blonde twin tails that were falling down to her lower back. Her hairline was a little spiky, reaching to the front of her forehead. Last time her hair was straight, but Sasuke had to admit that she looked stunning right now, even going as far to have a faint blush on his face, not expecting the hair and black dress. He could truly understand why she never went into a public place like The Leaf Village now. Even her face was unrivaled, her untanned white skin, the brightest blue eyes he had ever seen, plump cheeks, medium-sized breasts, and to top it off, small cute lips.
Like always when playing the piano, she had her eyelids closed and a small smile on her face. She made small movements to reach the different keys making her seem like she was one with the wind.
Sasuke wanted to let her finish her song before saying anything not wanting to disrupt the admirable female in front of him, plus he also wanted to watch her play a little longer, but he would never admit that last part.
{}{}{}{}{}
Naruto Just Finished
"Are you done?" Sasuke would yell out to Naruto while sitting down with one leg stretched, and one arm over the stretched leg.
Naruto would flinch similarly to the last time Sasuke came seemingly out of nowhere.
"Were you watching me Sasuke!" The now embarrassed Naruto would say to the Sasuke, who was now progressing towards her. Sasuke noticed that even when Naruto tried to raise her voice, it still sounded like her calming, quiet, soothing voice, just with a hint of anger, or whatever emotion she was trying to convey.
"Maybe…" Sasuke would say teasingly.
"How long!"
"Calm down, I wasn't watching you for that long."
Naruto would loosen her muscles and slouch down more on her piano bench.
"I had a feeling you would come, but you're supposed to warn someone first if you're watching them." Naruto would say with an anime pout.
Sasuke made it to the piano seat and sat on the right side after Naruto scooted over.
"Fine I'll tell you next time, but I wanted to play some piano for a little while and maybe talk for some time." Sasuke would say while positioning his fingers on the piano keys.
"I accept your apology." Naruto would say while moving her head to look at the piano and also positioning her fingers on the keys.
"Any specific songs?" Naruto would ask
"Yes, I remembered how to play a certain song that I used to play all the time."
"Great, I'll probably know it, so you start!" Naruto replied with a great smile.
Sasuke gave her a grin and started to play very slowly waiting for Naruto to try and catch on.
Sasuke looked back at Naruto confused when she hadn't started yet.
"Is something wrong?" He would ask with a confused expression on his face.
She would sweat a little and start giving a nervous fake laugh.
"Uh... well, I guess I don't know what song you're playing." Naruto would say even more confused than Sasuke. She thought she had learned almost every piano song there was out there, but it seems she was mistaken.
Sasuke's confused look turned into a sigh, "I guess I'll have to teach you Dobe, you'll probably learn fast, right?"
"Yeah! I haven't learned a new song in a while, this will be fun!" Naruto would reply, looking at Sasuke with excited fish eyes.
Sasuke would write down the notes for the song on an extra seal he had in his shinobi pockets and put it on the front of the piano.
"See, the notes are pretty easy, but I'll help you." Sasuke spoke with his regular monotone voice while scooting over towards Naruto.
"Okay!"
When Sasuke was getting ready to put his hands on the piano, Naruto Spoke. "U-uhm Sasuke."
"Yes?"
"You're a littl-little close" Naruto would mutter out with her face on fire.
Sasuke would look down and notice that he had moved over a little too close and was pressing his side against hers.
"O-o-oh so-sorry" Sasuke would stutter out embarrassed, moving over to the right a little more, giving them some space. His face was also equally red.
"I just didn't noti-"
"It's fine Sasuke, it was just an accident, right?" Naruto would ask calming back down and pushing her blush away.
"Yeah," Is all Sasuke would say also calming down, but he still had his mind on what he did. He also had his mind on how soft and sleek she felt through her dress, but he pushed those thoughts back.
Naruto would try a couple of attempts of the song from the notes sheet. She would mess up a couple of times, but Sasuke would help her while also playing the same as an example.
"Here, that's the wrong key." Sasuke would say while pointing towards the G key. "That's the one."
"Got it. Okay Sasuke, I think we could give it a try now!" Naruto would look at Sasuke giving him a face of anticipation.
"If you say so."
Sasuke would move back to his original spot on the right side of the piano. He would pop his fingers and put his fingers on the piano keys.
It had been around two hours since they started practicing; the breeze had calmed down and the sun was going to start setting in another hour or two. The now motionless grass was no longer tickling his legs under the seat with the lack of breeze. He didn't really know if he liked It more like this, or a more alive setting.
"You're going to hurt your fingers if you pop them like that." Naruto would say, setting her fingers up and getting comfortable.
"Jeez, when have you seen someone break their fingers from popping them, Miss. Buzzkill" Sasuke would reply starting the song, and at the correct speed, unlike last time.
"Hmph," is all Naruto would make while following Sasuke in her part of the melody.
Sasuke was content hearing Naruto already playing her part flawlessly, making the tune sound great. He had to admit he only kept getting more impressed, she could even learn fast.
The Duette's melodies blended perfectly, it seemed like they had been playing together for years. Sasuke was even starting to pick up Naruto's skill of playing with her eyes closed already. These two days had been the best he has had for a long time, it really felt like they had been the best of friends since they were infants to Sasuke.
"Hey Sasuke," Naruto would say silently while playing the song, her eyelids closed.
"Hm?" Sasuke would reply also playing his part while following his fingers with his eyes, making sure he didn't mess up any beats. He didn't want to break this perfect melody blend.
Sasuke could hear nothing but Naruto's question and the song being played while waiting for Naruto's response. Many seconds would pass before Sasuke got curious.
Sasuke would take his eyes off his fingers for a moment to look at Naruto inquisitively.
Naruto would open her eyes and move her head quickly to look at Sasuke with a big smile. Her hair tails flying off her back for a moment from the movement.
Sasuke would be surprised to see her head slightly tilted and a small tint of red on her cheeks next to her big smile all of a sudden.
"Thanks!" Naruto would say with her glimmering bright blue orbs staring back at the surprised black orbs of the Uchiha.
"W-what tha-thanks for what," Sasuke would stutter out with growing an entire face of red, not expecting the adorable motion.
"Thanks for being my friend! I've never had one before!" Naruto would say, still playing the song without looking at the piano.
"You're such a Dobe..." Sasuke would whisper, flustered with his still remaining blush tainting his face.
"You look sad, did I say something wrong! I-I'm so-" Naruto would say with worry in her voice before being cut off.
"No, no Naruto, I was just surprised. I'm also grateful..."
"Hm?" Naruto would question what he said, she couldn't catch everything he said.
"I was just surprised." Sasuke would say regaining his composure.
"Didn't you also say something else?"
"No"
"Okay!"
Naruto would get comfortable again with the soon following Sasuke. They would both play the song multiple times because Naruto liked the melody that much. They eventually change to a couple of other songs and play for a little while longer enjoying their time playing piano together.
{}{}{}{}{}
Later that evening
"This is good..." Sasuke would say while stuffing his face with Naruto's cooking.
"You didn't tell me you were so good a cooking Naruto."
"Thank you. Having lived out here for so long I've become quite good at it. I made more if you want seconds." Naruto would reply smiling, sitting on her knees on a pillow across from Sasuke.
Sasuke would clean his plate before even a minute had passed, "Thanks, I would love seconds."
Naruto would stand up on her legs and pick up Sasuke's plate moving to put more food on it not losing her small grin.
Sasuke couldn't help to stare at Naruto while did the simple action. Every move she made looked elegant, but he was also staring for other reasons he would never admit.
"I can get it Naruto." Sasuke would say not even hiding his stare.
"Nope, I have it covered, guests first!" Naruto would reply, too innocent to care about the staring.
Sasuke would simply give her a minuscule smile while waiting patiently for Naruto.
It wouldn't take Naruto long to return his plate to him filled with food. While Sasuke dug into his food once again, Naruto moved over to her pillow and sat back on her knees.
"It must be nice living out in this peaceful environment, no loud villagers yelling outside at all times. Your house's aesthetic compliments the surroundings well." Sasuke would barely be able to get out while shoving food into his mouth with chopsticks, taking only short breaks to talk.
Naruto lived in a small cozy home further out in the plains with more trees and scenery. She had lots of flowers, and all that could be heard was the soothing sound of wind and their voices. It really was the epitome of peaceful.
"Yes, it is great, I also like how quiet and comfortable it is out here." Naruto would say with her regular silent soothing voice.
"In fact, the sun is setting here soon and I wanted to show you my favorite spot if you're okay with that when you're done eating." She would add with a small smile.
"Wow, this entire place is my favorite spot, if it's your favorite it must really be something that I couldn't pass up, huh? Sasuke would say giving out a small joking chuckle.
"It sure is, you'll never see anything like it again, especially at sunset."
"Okay, sounds good then, first I have to finish this food up though."
Naruto would nod. She could hear crickets outside only making her happier.

10 Minutes Later
Theme Playing: Sparkle, From Your Name
"Hurry up slowpoke! Aren't you supposed to be a Shinobi?" Naruto would say with excitement in her voice while walking up a hill.
"I am a Shinobi; I'm just not running. More importantly, when you said your favorite spot, I thought you MEANT IN THE VILLAGE DOBE!" Sasuke would shout, picking up speed to catch up with the thrilled female. With her calm, soothing voice, he thought it sounded cute when she was excited. Like always, she kept her tone, but she had the hint of excitement that made her seem so innocent. However, right now he was a little annoyed with her.
"Oh come on Sasuke, learn to have some fun once and a while. Who's going to get us in trouble? She would say spinning around to look at the clearly annoyed boy.
"Once again, I'm a shinobi Naruto, and from what I can infer the village doesn't know you. If someone were to catch us, they could think I was working with another village and leaving when it was turning dark out." Sasuke would speak while walking past Naruto, who had her back bent walking slowly, attempting to talk to Sasuke.
Naruto would stand back up straight and run back in front of Sasuke while back peddling. The sun was setting and they were going to miss it if they didn't hurry. She avoided the many trees in the forest they were in while climbing up a tall hill.
"Hmph, if you want to be like that then fine, but trust me it will all be worth it when we reach there! We have to hurry though to catch the sunset." Naruto would say while grabbing his wrist.
"H-Hey! What are you doing!" Sasuke would say now being forced to run with Naruto.
"I'm making us go faster because you want to be a slowpoke!" Naruto would say while running at full speed avoiding the trees.
"AHH," Sasuke would yell, "YOU ALMOST RAMMED ME INTO A TREE DOBE!"
Naruto would start to giggle, having fun poking at the hot-headed Uchiha and avoiding all the trees like an obstacle course.
"OKAY, okay, jeez I'll run, just let go of me." Sasuke would say.
"Promise?" Naruto would ask, flipping her head around and putting them to a halt.
"I promise."
"Okay," Naruto would say with an anime pout, "let's get going then!"
"What's up with the pout? You shouldn't hold my arm like that!" Sasuke would say a little flustered by the unexpected action.
"I was having fun." Naruto would mumble keeping her pout.
Sasuke would feel somewhat bad, but she didn't need to do that.
"Fine then, if you want to have fun, THEN BEAT ME THERE." Sasuke would say completely out of character, but even annoyed at Naruto right now, he didn't want her disappointed or sad.
Naruto would look shocked before Sasuke bolted off. Naruto caught on to what he meant and started laughing while also running up the hill.
Slowpoke huh, let's see her beat me up here the- WHAT THE HELL! Sasuke would think to himself while he looked behind him in disbelief to see the fast sprinting Naruto trying to catch up with him.
Well, guess I shouldn't completely destroy the challenge anyway. Sasuke would think while letting Naruto catch up to him.
Naruto was panting heavily, "We're almost there!"
Sasuke could see where the hill flattened and slowed down along with Naruto. They would both walk up the hill and look in front of him.
Sasuke was astounded by the sight in front of him. They both slowly walked up to the end of the hill to admire the view.
"See, told you!" Naruto would say practically jumping up and down with a wide grin to see the gaping Sasuke.
Sasuke couldn't even respond. The hill was a perfect view of all the forest and scenery they had just seen, but behind it, they could also see the entire Leaf Village. It was coming close to night time so all the lights were lit up and Sasuke could see the village in a new way. It looked absolutely stunning lit up. To top it all off the sun was setting perfectly right behind the leaf village giving the sky a colorful orange flavor.
Naruto would plop herself on the corner of the hill with her dangling feet moving in walking motions. Sasuke would soon follow but without the excited moving feet. He looked over towards Naruto to see her staring at the village, her eyes shining and a grin on her face.
"I told you it was beautiful didn't I, and now it was worth it!" Naruto would say, moving her head to greet Sasuke's face who was also looking at her.
"Y-yeah, it was." Sasuke would stutter out, still in disbelief.
They would both look at the great view in front of them talking about anything in the world with no one to bother them. Sasuke felt carefree about everything right now, so happy, so delighted. He didn't care about Shinobi business currently, all he cared about was this precious time he had with Naruto, he truly was happy with her. Especially with this view, he always got praise for being an Uchiha 'prodigy' and an Uchiha 'hottie' by everyone in the village. They always shared smiles with each other, and lots with him. But Naruto's smile felt truly genuine, she truly was just innocent. He was enjoying his time with Naruto, every bit of it. For the rest of the time, they spent enjoying the view together and sharing stories, laughs, and stuff about them. Naruto was happy to notice that Sasuke didn't lose his smile the entire time. All that could be heard for the rest of the night between them was laughs and pure enjoyment.
3:12 AM
They had been there all night practically and were still admiring the view with each other.
'Yawn' Naruto would yawn while rubbing her eyes with her knuckles.
"Are you tired Naruto?" Sasuke would ask, smiling off into the distance, looking at the now even brighter village.
"Yeah, but I still want to stay here longer." Naruto would reply, making sure to quickly add that last part.
When Naruto put her hand back down Sasuke did something unexpected. Naruto looked to her right to see Sasuke's hand above hers on the ground, holding her soft, smooth hand.
"Me too, me too Naruto." Sasuke would say, not losing sight of the village.
Naruto would grow red but not ask Sasuke noticing that it was clearly on purpose since he was holding her hand. The red female would simply grow a giant smile and start laughing along with Sasuke. She would also clench her hand, grasping his on the ground, rubbing her sleek white thumb on the top of his very slightly tanned hand. They would stay up all night talking and laughing. Neither one of them wanted this night to end.

The Next Morning
No Longer Playing Sparkle
"Katon: Gōkakyū no Jutsu!" Sasuke would say while using complex hand seals. A decent-sized ball of fire would spit out of his mouth, being fired at a forest of trees. It would take out a couple of trees and set others around the impact on fire.
Sasuke was panting heavily while bending his back, his hands on his knees and sweating like a pig. He had been training vigorously all morning, taking no breaks. He only had six days left to train for the Chunin exams, there was going to be Shinobi from every nation. He knew he needed to train if he wanted to pass, especially with his teammates who were useless Dobes to him.
Sasuke stands back up straight and ignores his paining body. He would start running at the nearest trees, ready to throw four kunai and try and make them bounce off each other, but before he could throw them, he would be halted by a familiar banshee.
"SAAAASSSUKKKEEE-KUNNN," Sakura would yell while running intensely at the frustrated Uchiha who was now looking at her with anger.
"What do you want, can't you see I'm busy training." Sasuke would spit out, looking at the pink-haired female now standing in front of him. She was holding a large clay cup.
"I saw that you looked tired during your epic training, so I brought you some water! You were working so hard, you're doing great! Although, what can you expect from an Uchiha elite like you?" Sakura would say holding out the cup. She was practically shining like a star, bouncing up and down like she was meeting her idle. Her pink bangs were covering the corners of her eyes and her large forehead. She wore a pink shirt with a white circle on the bottom that had its front and back hanging down to her knees. Well, now only the front hung down to her knees since she cut the back off to show her flat rear to Sasuke. She wore short black tights with Shinobi gear to go with it.
Although Sasuke was frustrated with her right now, he did really need some water to cool down. Unwillingly Sasuke would nod his head, taking the cup and sliding his back down the tree, falling on his bottom with his legs extended.
Sakura would start giggling, happy that Sasuke accepted her offer. She would sit next to Sasuke on the tree, also putting her back against the wall.
Sasuke would gulp down the water without a second to breathe. He would sit the cup down next to him while making a sigh.
He closes his eyes with his arms crossed, still wanting to catch his breath before training again so he didn't have to take another break any time soon.
Unkown to Sasuke, Sakura was glaring at him, she staring at him so heavily it was almost like she could see through his clothes. She would glare at his lips, a small blush appearing on her face with little giggles thinking about dirty thoughts.
Don't worry Sasuke-Kun, soon you'll be all mine. She would think to herself.
"Is something wrong?" Sasuke would ask with one eye open looking at her, hearing the giggles she was making.
Sakura would jump, startled while waking up from her dream world, her blush growing. "No, no, no, nothing's wrong Sasuke-Kun! Just thinking about some funny memories, that's all!"
Sasuke would make a grunt while closing his eye again, he didn't truly believe what she said. He could never trust that pink banshee.
"Sasuke-Kun," Sakura would say trying to sound shy and cute, her face becoming a tomato.
"What Dobe?" Sasuke would respond not bothering to open his eyes this time.
Silence would pass for a while before Sasuke got impatient and snapped his eyes open. He whipped his head around in frustration. "I said wha- WHAT THE HELL!"
Sasuke would jump away from the progressing head of Sakura with her mouth slightly open. Sakura would open her eyes in shock, quickly bolting her head back in place in embarrassment.
"WERE YOU TRYING TO KISS ME! WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU!" Sasuke would say furiously while still backing up in shock, now standing on his feet.
"S-S-Sasuke-Kun, I ju-" Sakura would be cut off before being able to say another word.
"DON'T SASUKE-KUN ME!" Sasuke would shout pissed off.
Sasuke would start to walk away intending to end it on that, but before he could get away Sakura would grab his wrist.
"S-Sasuke, please... I didn't mean to make you angry; you can still train here. I won't touch you again or call you Sasuke-Kun, just please..." Sakura would say tightly gripping Sasuke's wrist making a face of desperation.
Sasuke would throw her hand off his wrist, "Yeah I will train here, as long as you leave. I knew you were obsessive and I could ignore it, but this took it too far. To say it right to your face so maybe you could finally get the idea. I don't like you like that, and I most likely never will. Now leave!" Sasuke would spit out with venom in his voice.
Sakura would feel her heart be grabbed by a cold hand and crushed. Her love had just said to her face that he will most likely never love her. She couldn't help but do nothing else other than hating herself for what she did. She tried to progress too fast, but every time she tried to start slow, he just turned her down. But Sakura's 'love' for Sasuke was immortal, she would always love Sasuke and always try to get him to feel the same. She wouldn't die until he said that he loved her back. Even after being told that he will never like her, all it did was give her more motivation.
Sakura would snap her hand back to Sasuke's wrist, her head down and her hair covering her face from the nose up.
"LEAVE!" Sasuke would spit out with pure rage that she just couldn't get the idea through her head. All she had ever been to Sasuke was a nuisance, if she actually wanted to try and get him to like her, she could at least become strong.
"No," Sakura would reply bluntly, refusing Sasuke's wishes for the first time.
"SAKURA! NOW!" Sasuke would say, trying pulling her hand off his wrist, but to no avail. She had enhanced her hand with chakra. "ARE YOU SERIOUS!?"
"Why do you hate me so much Sasuke?" Sakura would mumble, tears rolling down her cheeks from the shadowed area above her nose.
Sasuke would take a minute to calm down realizing getting angry isn't helping the situation at all, but he was so angry right now, it took everything he had to calm himself.
Sasuke would let out a great sigh. "Sakura, I don't hate you. But if you cont-"
"STOP LYING, YOU DO HATE ME!" Sakura wouldn't let Sasuke finish speaking.
"If you continue this, I will hate you Sakura, we're teammates, stop trying to force romance into our relationship!" Sasuke would reply, somehow keeping his cool after being interrupted
"Sasuke, you need a friend who will be there for you like me." Sakura barely would be able to say, clogged up from tears.
"I already have a friend who will be there for me. You and I are teammates, period." Sasuke would reply.
Sakura would look shocked and shoot her head to look Sasuke into the eyes.
"You have a friend you talk to? Since when and who is it? Is it Shikamaru, is it S-" Sakura would start asking him questions, confused since Sasuke has always been alone. She was curious who this friend was, they had to be a new friend, but she would be cut off before being able to talk anymore.
"Stop Sakura. She doesn't go to the Shinobi Academy, and her name isn't any of your business. You have no reason to be in my personal life. For the last time leave!" Sasuke would speak, starting to wonder if bringing up Naruto was a good idea.
"SHE!" Sakura would be stunned; he had a friend that was a female! He had been hanging out with a female! This female was there for him, but she wasn't!
"WHY CAN'T I BE THERE FOR YOU! SHE'S NOT EVEN A SHINOBI! HOW LONG HAVE YOU TWO BEEN DATING!" Sakura would yell at Sasuke with a waterfall streaming from her eyes.
"We're not dating god damnit! We're just good friends, and I told you that's none of your business!" Sasuke would say finally being able to escape Sakura's grip.
Sakura would flip her body around and start stomping back towards her home while mumbling under her breath. Before she was out of sight she stopped, she whispered just loud enough for Sasuke to hear. "That must be why you don't like me huh? Then I'll just have to fix that."
Sasuke didn't really know what she meant by that when he was watching the pink-haired girl stomp into the distance. But he didn't have time to care about the incident right now, since he was fuming with anger, he could use it to help him train for the rest of the day.

Naruto's POV
Naruto was wearing a small smile and humming a quiet tune while picking flowers in the bright sun. She had been really happy recently. She had only known Sasuke for two days now but it felt like she had known him for her whole life. Their friendship had progressed so fast and they were already the best of friends possible, she felt like she could to talk to him about anything, and she liked it a lot! She had never really had friends, she hoped they could be best friends for the rest of their lives. These short two days had changed a lot for her, and unknown to her, Sasuke too.
Sasuke had told her that he wasn't going to be able to visit her before the Chunin exams since he needed to train, he clearly felt bad, and sad himself, but knew he needed to get stronger. But he did at least promise to spend the day before the Chunin exams with her. Naruto was extremely saddened by this but didn't want to make Sasuke even more upset, so she only showed a fraction of it. But even a fraction of the sadness was noticeably a lot. She wanted to spend more time with him, a lot more time with him, but she accepted that the Chunin exams were important to him and he needed to be strong to pass. She still hadn't forgotten about last night either. It might have been the most fun night of her life, they got to share more about each other and share funny stories. They had been laughing and smiling all night, her smile grew even more thinking about her new best friend. Especially thinking about when they held hands, Naruto would giggle.

Back To Sasuke's POV
The Evening
Sasuke was lying on the ground in a puddle of sweat. He had been working himself nonstop all day. Not to mention in the recent hour his heart hadn't been beating normally, and he knew exactly why. He looked at the wristwatch that he had bought this morning to see it was around 6:00 PM. He really wanted to go visit Naruto right now, especially with his melodic heart telling him too. He would look back into the sky, letting his arm flop onto the ground. He tried to move his back to get up but he was too sore right now. He needed to lie down for a little while longer, then eat some food, then train more. He wasn't going to lose these Chunin exams, especially since he had a 'dead weight' team.
{}{}{}{}{}
Sakura's POV
The Evening
Sakura was running down the streets of Konoha at full speed. She still couldn't get the argument she had with Sasuke earlier off her mind. She needed to find answers to who she believed was putting a line between Sasuke and her. No matter how much makeup she puts on, no matter how much ass she shows, no matter how much 'love' she shows it's never enough for Sasuke. Not even enough to be considered a friend, just a teammate. She instantly grew a hate for someone she didn't even know.
She was woken up out of her thoughts when she noticed her destination was in front of her. The Yamanaka Flower Shop. She never liked coming here, her love rival, Ino Yamanaka worked here. However, she needed to throw away her rivalry with her right now, because she knows that Ino will be just as pissed as her when she finds out this information.
Sakura would enter the shop, still wearing a face of frustration from earlier, even this much later in the day.
"Hello, Welco-" Ino would start before growing a face of disgust. "Oh, hey forehead what's wrong, did Sasuke-Kun throw you away like the trash you are? Or are you on your period?" She would say teasingly.
"SHUTUP! WE NEED TO TALK!" Sakura would shout, embarrassed by Ino's words.
Ino was startled that Sakura wanted to talk to her. If she wanted to have a talk with her that must mean this was pretty important, especially since she's so angry.
"Fine, but make it quick forehead" She would reply with a more regular voice than the annoying voice she was using to tease Sakura earlier.
Sakura would walk up to the stand and slam both her hands down on the table, leaning over to look at Ino. "Ino, Sasuke's hanging out with another girl, that's apparently, I quote, 'there for him!" Sakura would shout at the blonde-haired female.
Ino's face would grow in even more surprise and her mouth would be left hanging. "WHAAATTTT!" She would scream, practically shaking all the flowers in the shop and making everyone in proximity cover their ears.
Ino would quickly shut the shop down for the night and pull Sakura into her room, commanding her to tell her the whole story.
Sakura would do so but leaving out the bad parts about how the statement was spoken of in the first place. Now they both were on the same page, they needed to find out who this girl was.

2:32 AM
Back To Sasuke's POV
'Tap Tap Tap'
A fast tapping could be heard in the room of Sasuke Uchiha. He was lying down in his bed with his fingers tapping on his nightstand. His eyes were wide open and his tapping was a sign of stress. He couldn't fall asleep for some reason. Something was bugging him, and it was really starting to get on his nerves. He stopped tapping his fingers and closed his eyes again to try and fall asleep. He was able to close his eyes for only about a minute before snapping them back open.
"DAMN IT!" Sasuke would shout towards no one.
He would start tapping his fingers on the nightstand again, seeming like he thought it would make him fall asleep even though it was only making it harder to fall asleep. He didn't know why he couldn't fall asleep and it was driving him mad. His first and only guess he had was because he trained so much his body didn't want to fall asleep. However, he quickly threw away that thought realizing that his training would only make him more tired considered how sore he was.
"Not enough training?" Sasuke would ask himself while lifting his back off the bed. He would slide off the bed onto his feet and go to grab his Shinobi shoes.
Sasuke walked outside and started to walk back to his training location while staring at his feet and his hands in his pocket. It was pitch black outside except for the lights that The Leaf Village lights up after a certain time. He could hear swarms of crickets all around him, but he was just ignoring them.
Sasuke would arrive at the training location ten minutes later and think about where to start. He would decide on kunai training as he grabbed around 50 kunai out of his bag he brought.
He started throwing them, hitting the bullseye on every board no matter how difficult the shot was to aim. He had trained so much with kunai that it was just second nature to use them at this point for him, but something started bothering him again after about 30 minutes of kunai training.
"This isn't working..." Sasuke would mutter out while falling down on his butt lazily. Clearly, training wasn't helping tire him out, so what was it that was making him so restless. He was racking his head looking for info, but to no avail so he simply started to walk back to his home. He felt like he was almost missing something, or... someone...
