Hi everyone!

It's been too long, I know. Here is a one-shot about the DiNozzo family after their second daughter is born. I am a huge TIVA fan and in this AU, Tony and Ziva have always been together. Warning: one swat given to a child as discipline. If this bothers you, don't read further. Thanks to MaidenMoonshine for proofreading. Hope you enjoy this!

Table for Four

Tony absently poured milk in Tali's cereal and slid the bowl over to her on the breakfast bar.

Tali took one look and scowled.

"I'm not eating that," she declared, sitting back in her chair and crossing her arms over her pink leotard complete with a matching tutu.

Tony sighed as he turned to face his six year old. He had to remind himself through his sleep-deprived haze that Tali was just a kid. She didn't know Tony was on his last thread of patience thanks to the family's new little one sleeping two hours at a time.

"It's Fruit Loops, Tali," Tony said almost pleadingly. "You like Fruit Loops."

"Not. In. Orange. Juice!" Tali declared, before hopping off her chair in search of her Ima.

It was only then that Tony took a good look at the cereal bowl in which the brightly colored circles were, in fact, floating in orange juice.

"Tali, come back," Tony called. "I'll make it right."

Tony waited for a minute before giving up. He dumped the ruined breakfast down the drain and quickly washed the bowl and spoon. He knew better than to let the dishes wait for later given the family's current status – new baby and no schedule.

As if on cue he heard a tiny wail coming down the hall, accompanied by a tired Ima and a very hyper Tali.

"Today is jazz day, Ima," Tali explained as Ziva entered the kitchen with a fussy faced newborn in her arms.

Ziva's normally beautifully flowing dark hair had seen better days. Usually straightened and glossy, her hair had reverted to its untamed curls which she had put up in a messy bun. She was wearing a stained t-shirt and sweatpants with a robe. The tie for the robe had dislodged from the loops and was barely hanging on trailing behind Ziva like a forgotten party streamer.

Tony immediately took his second daughter, trading her a cup of jasmine tea. Ziva sipped the tea with a look of gratitude as Tali jumped up and down between them.

"How's my sweetest little baby?" Tony cooed at his two-week-old daughter.

The baby stared at Tony with dark, wide eyes as though she was trying to decide how to answer her Abba. Within a second, her gaze crumpled and she began to wail again.

"Okay, okay," Tony said, shifting her to his shoulder and gently bouncing and rocking her. "Shhh. No need to fuss. I got you."

The baby quieted for a moment and Ziva took the opportunity to pop a tiny pacifier into her mouth. Tony held the pacifier in softly but firmly as she pushed it almost out before beginning to suck.

"There, that's better," Tony cooed. "You look just like your Ima, Lucia Rebecca."

Tony's eyes misted over as he said her name. Ziva and he had many conversations about what they should name their second and probably last baby. Ziva had immediately suggested she be named after Tony's mother and her own – amazing women who were gone too soon.

The two were in immediate agreement. And now here she was in all her 7 lbs. 6 ounces of glory. Ziva's labor and delivery had been quite a trial, lasting almost 24 hours. But once Ziva held her tiny daughter with a head full of dark hair, it had all been worth it.

Tony was knocked out of his thoughts by an inpatient Tali.

"Abba! Come on! We're gonna be late!"

Tali had her coat on, her dance bag in her hand and was hopping from foot to foot. She was usually not so hyper but the combination of it being dance class day and being cooped up in the apartment due to the recent snowy surge had the six year old particularly wound up.

"Late! Late! Late!" Tali yelled, opening the door and shutting it to punctuate each word.

Tony was about to scold Tali when Ziva swooped into the room, landing a solid smack on Tali's bottom before turning her to face her.

"You do not open the door and you do not yell at Abba and me," Ziva said sternly, holding a now crying Tali at arms length. "That was naughty."

Tali's cries were almost immediately joined by Lucia's tiny wails, who had pushed the pacifier out to join her sister's crying.

Ziva's eyes filled with tears. Here she was, with the family she had always prayed and dreamt of, and she was failing. She was tired, overwhelmed at the work of being mom to a newborn again and feeling guilty for swatting Tali even though Ziva knew she deserved it.

"I'm sorry, Ima!" Tali cried, throwing herself into Ziva's arms.

Ziva immediately embraced her first born. She ignored the ache in her breasts as her body told her it was time to feed Lucia again.

Just as Tony got Lucia quiet again, the front door opened and Gibbs stepped in, almost knocking over Ziva, who was still crouched down nearby with Tali in her arms.

Gibbs took in the scene and it only made him more confident he made the right move in asking to take Tali for the day. He knew Tony and Ziva were doing their best but having a second child was going to take some adjustment.

"Hey, Tali," Gibbs said, crouching down to his granddaughter's height. "You ready to spend the day with this old guy?"

Tali turned to Gibbs, a few tears still streaking down her cheeks. She had forgotten Grandpa Gibbs was taking her to dance class and was torn between her sadness for being swatted and her joy to have Gibbs there.

"What's going on?" Gibbs asked, gently thumbing away the tears.

"Ima gave me a spank," Tali said solemnly.

"I see," Gibbs said carefully, looking over at Ziva. "And why did Ima do that?"

Tali blushed and suddenly found the carpet quite interesting.

"I was messing with the door."

"Sounds like you deserved a swat, young lady," Gibbs responded.

Ziva, Tony and Gibbs decided long ago that the adults in Tali's life needed to be consistent and support each other's discipline. It helped that the three saw eye-to-eye in terms of the reasons and methods under which Tali should be punished.

Tali kept her eyes firmly downcast but Gibbs knew she was listening.

"You won't do that again," Gibbs reassured. "How about you say your goodbyes and we can get going?"

Tali hugged Ziva as she kissed her daughter's unruly curls. After Tali made her way over to Tony and did the same, she paused near Lucia and kissed the baby's rosy cheek.

"Be good for Ima and Abba," Tali whispered loudly. "Big sis with be back later today."

The adults exchanged a look upon hearing Tali's goodbye to the baby. It was so sweet.

"Now I'm ready," Tali exclaimed. Gibbs kissed Lucia's head and took Tali's outstretched hand.

"You two take it easy today," Gibbs said, landing a peck on Ziva's cheek. "Don't worry about this one. We have a full day planned."

"Thank you, Gibbs," Ziva said. "You do not know how much we need this."

Gibbs winked and let Tali lead the way. He was thrilled to have a new granddaughter and to have Tali for the day. It was more than he ever imagined he would have when he lost Kelly.

"I need this too, Ziver," he replied, smiling.

Lucia stirred and began crying as if on cue just after the pair left. The DiNozzo residence was never quiet for long – especially not with its newest member.
