Deep in the far reaches of space, the last of the symbiotes, as humans used to call them or Klyntar, as they call themselves, venom was racing towards his last hope of survival. The asteroid his species lived on was burning up faster than the creatures could move and had killed off the entire species. Due to venom's previous time on earth he had survived longer, but he wouldn't last much more if he didn't get to the last chunk of rock that was coming loose. With a last burst of panic induced speed, the creature made it, with seconds to spare. That was the last venom saw of the asteroid he called his home.

Balling up inside the small asteroid for protection, he floated through space for years.

That was before it got caught in the mesosphere of earth, and began his free fall towards Japan.

A small walk from the would be crash site of the small asteroid, a young boy was nagging his poor mother about going to see the doctor to see if he will have a quirk.

'Mama! Mama! Come ooooon!'

Inko Midorya sighed and called out to her hyperactive toddler. 'Izuku dear, you have to wait a bit before we can leave, the appointment isn't for another hour!'

The emerald haired boy looked at his mother. 'Oh...' the child then ran out the room and gathered as many AllMight figures as his small arms could carry (not that many).

—11 years later—

'Mom?'

Inko gave a sympathetic look, remembering what today was and said 'yes sweetheart...'

'I'm going out for a bit... is that ok?' asked the now high school child. The boy wanted some alone time, some time to cast out the words of the quirk doctor that day.

'I'm sorry Mrs Midorya. But your son is quirkless'

Izuku wandered far into the forest, before coming to a stop below his favorite tree. The large beech was covered in soft moss, so it was comfortable to sit at the foot of the tree and think.

Izuku POV

"I guess kaachan was right... I'll always be a quirkless Deku...' I stood up and looked to the sky. I noticed a small dot in the sky, slowly getting bigger and brighter. It hit me all too late that it was heading in my direction. I turned and fled only to be caught in the aftershock of the landing. I don't remember much else from that day, only hazy memories of something crawling out of the meteorite and me passing out.

I awoke the next morning to the shouts of mom. I shot up and called out to her.

'Mom! I'm over here!'

Mom ran over as fast as she could and knelt to the ground to begin comforting me, before noticing the fairly large chunk of space rock behind me.

'I-Izuku honey... what happened yesterday?'

'I'm not sure mom... only that the meteorite came really close to hitting me last night, and then all I remember was passing out...' I deliberately didn't tell mom about the other thing I saw. The odd black creature that crawled out of the space rock. The last thing I needed was a panicked mom. 'Ok Izuku... let's get you home...' I nodded and shakily stood up.

As we walked home, mom called the police to inform them of what happened, told them I was fine and that she'd be taking me to the hospital tomorrow for a checkup, and that I didn't remember anything from the event to prevent me getting interrogated by the police. When she mentioned the hospital I internally panicked. Would she learn about what kaachan did at school? I mean he had left plenty of burn marks and a few small scars... this worry filled my mind as we continued to walk home, so in the end I never noticed the odd feeling of venom exploring the mind of his new host.

Venom POV

When the meteorite hit earth, I was jolted awake by the sheer force of it hitting solid ground. In the many years I had drifted space, I had learned the best way to spend time trapped in the meteorite for my own safety was sleep. A skill I had picked up from Eddie. Eddie... I missed him... I wonder if I'll ever get to see earth again... I wonder if it has changed... it's been almost 2,000 years since I was last there, so who knows what happened. I noticed long ago that humans shut down any and all space travel, the whole symbiote issue probably didn't help. I groggily crawled out of the meteorite, to see a young boy, probably around 13-14, passing out very close the meteorite that had been my home for about the past 40 years. I came closer to him, drawn by an odd aura. It's as if the universe was saying 'now that's a fucking good host venom!' I decided to see how well we would bond, and never expected full symbiosis first try. I'd never had a child as a host before, so unlike Eddie the kid had room to grow. It was an odd sensation, sort of cramped... but not at the same time... it was comfortable in a way.

I had a quick feel around his outer body, making sure my new host wasn't hurt. I found some old scars, small but deep, and a couple burn marks nearly all over his body. This worried my slightly. What could this child possibly be doing that gave him burn marks? Once they finished healing, the scars took a rather long time oddly enough... guess it's been too long since I have had a human host to remember how to properly heal or something, it was day time and he was starting to wake up.

I hid in the back of his mind, not wanting to make myself known unless I knew he was an absolutely perfect host. So as he talked with his mom, and his mom yapped back, I began looking at his memories. I kept finding a phrase I wasn't familiar with. Quirk. I continued hunting and from what I could find, a quirk is a power, that most humans now gained at the age of four. I didn't understand much about it, so I decided to ask my host later. I learned a lot about the poor boy that was now my host. One, that he desperately wanted to be a hero. Two, was that his name is Izuku Midorya. Three, that the scars and burns are from a bully who has the power to crate explosions in his hands. Four, he is extremely smart, like scarily smart. And five, he lives with just his mom, his only friend.

I felt bad for the boy. Bullied for something he can't control, and friendless because people don't want to be bullied for being seen with the quirkless kid. I decided that day that I'd try being a hero. I remember Eddie saying we where like an anti-hero... but he never liked me eating people... no one does... so I'll try proper hero... maybe Eddie will somehow know from the afterlife and be happy. That day is when I, venom, an alien from space, became what I'd never considered before. A hero and a friend to a child.
