This story is a reboot for my official series. This story is set six months after the events of fellow Ronin Warriors writer Harry2's story "Ronins on the Hellmouth", so there will be some spoilers ahead when it comes to this story. In order to appreciate this series, read the aforementioned series as well as its predecessor "Armour of the Eliminator". That way, you will know about James Ferino, his wife Twyla and the Lady Ronin Guardians in particular.

This is not a multi crossover as this series does not focus on the Buffyverse characters directly like it would with the Defenders and the Ronin Warriors. When Worlds Collide

Chapter One. Prelude to Danger

Destiny always has a way of affecting people. The question lingers is once the destiny calls to you, will you be willing to accept it?

Jedda stared at the lava of the volcano before her as she prepared to throw the Necklace of Oros in the lava in attempt to destroy the object in question.

"Some powers are too great for the hands of man." Jedda declared before she threw the necklace into the lava. She watched anxiously as the white light of the necklace flickered before it faded out.

Then, she sighed with relief, believing the Necklace of Oros had been destroyed before the raven haired girl left the area and returned to meet up with the rest of the Defenders.

-When-Worlds-Collide-

James sighed as he looked outside the window of the room of his house in Sunnydale. He and Twyla were looking outside, enjoying the beautiful sunrise and reflecting on the events that had happened six months ago.

It had been six months since the events with Talpa and Glory where they tainted and controlled the Lady Ronin Guardians. The Ronin Warriors found out about everything from the tainting to the guardians in general to Ryo having a sister, who is his guardian: Rekino. Since then, the Ronin Warriors and Lady Ronin Guardians had returned to Toyama, Japan while from encouragement from Steven St. Wolf, Shaw Hunter and her soul sister Faith, James and Twyla remained in Sunnydale and they continued working at the dojo.

"Such a beautiful sunrise, isn't dear James?" Twyla asked her husband as she was holding his hand.

"It sure is." James answered, "I have been enjoying watching these sunrises for the past six months."

"It is also great interacting with Section 7." Twyla added, "They are good to interact with."

"Yeah. The Wanderer and his forces. It is always good to see them and for them letting us know what they are up to."

"At the same time," James spoke up, "I've been having these strange visions."

Twyla turned her head in curiosity as she had a feeling that her husband had appeared to be unsettled with something, "What would that be?"

"It is something like a premonition." James explained, "I saw a group of heroes, although I couldn't identify their faces where the images were shadowy and then I saw some sort of power as an evil voice declared it would be the key to revive Talpa once again."

"Talpa?!" Twyla exclaimed, "Wow. No wonder why you seemed to be unsettled lately."

"Exactly." James crossed his arms, "I had hoped that we would never have to deal with Talpa ever again as long as we shall live. If this premonition is true, then God help us all."

There was a pause of silence as James and Twyla stared at each other, unsure of what they could say at this point.

"You know, we should get ready for the day." Twyla suggested, breaking the silence, "We have to open the dojo in an hour."

"Good idea." James nodded in agreement, "Hopefully, a good day at the dojo will keep our minds off of Talpa and that premonition."

James and Twyla had met with Shaw at the dojo and they did their usual training.

"Good seeing you again." James told the Half Elf before he asked, "How are things going with you and Section 7?"

"Things are going as usual." Shaw answered, "The three slayers are doing well in taking out the vampires that show up. We are all patrolling and everything is going as it usually does for a hellmouth."

"That's good to hear." Twyla replied.

"There's something else that you should know." Shaw glanced at first James and then at Twyla.

"What would that be?" James asked, "Another prophecy?"

"Possibly." Shaw explained, "Lately, I have been having strange visions. It's regarding a new threat that the Ronin Warriors and the Lady Ronin Guardians might face in the future because I saw them in the visions."

"I keep having a similar vision." James chimed in, "Continue, they could be the same thing."

"I saw four men. Superheroes in action to be exact with four young adults and one teenager." Shaw continued explaining the visions, "Then I saw a strange energy. Then, I heard an evil voice saying that this energy was the key to revive Talpa."

"I knew it!" James exclaimed, "I had the same vision that you did!"

"What kind of energy is it?" Twyla asked.

"I'm not sure." Shaw shook her head, "The visions were vivid."

"I'm not sure what we are up against," James stated before asking the Half Elf Ranger/Half Cleric, "Do you?"

"Not really." Shaw shook her head, "All I know is that this new threat wants to revive Talpa and a mysterious energy will be the key in doing so."

"And we will be in for trouble if Talpa is revived." James declared.

Author's Note: And with that, we have the start of the official crossover series. This is the crossover series consisting of the anime Ronin Warriors and Defenders of the Earth. I was inspired to an extent by fellow Defenders of the Earth fanfic writers James5 and Marzena to write scenarios for my own series. Well, I hope you guys will enjoy the ride! I'm bringing in the Defenders in the next chapter! Yay!
