CHAPTER ONE : The clouds of Fate

1st September 1993

King's Cross Station

"Goodbye Harry, Theo." Sirius wrapped both boys in a bear hug.

"Have a good year!!. Remember to stay out of trouble." Remus added.

"I always stay out of trouble." Harry said, feigning hurt.

"Yeah, right." Theo snickered.

"I have to go, I'll see you at Hogwarts." Reg said, as the clock ticked on.

Hadrian Sirius Black, Harry to his friends and family waved to them all, before hefting his trunk and making his way to the compartment at the end of the train that they had occupied since first year. Theo Black, who had recently been adopted by Sirius after his father, Emory Nott disinherited him, accompanied his brother towards the train, eyes glinting at the tears that always seemed to be there whenever he was with someone he cared about.

And wasn't that a heck of a good feeling.?

Speaking of family, Harry's eyes turned towards the end of the platform where his ex-brother James Potter Jr, the "Jem" of collective wizarding Britain and the Boy-Who-Lived was gathered with his entourage and adoring parents, James and Lily Potter.

Besides him, Theo squeezed his shoulder in a comforting way.

"It's alright." He said gently.

"Breathe in slowly. They're not your family anymore, you have us, don't you?"

Harry smiled softly.

Why would he even need his birth family when he had gathered himself a new one?. Theo with his soft smiles and gentle laughter. Neville with his bear hugs and extinct plants. Hermione with her urges for studying and gentle nagging. Blaise with his obsession with runes and smug smirks. Justin with his posh accent and constant hugs. Millie with her tomboy attitude and sarcastic ramblings. Daphne with her warm eyes and her stories. All of them, it was a lovely combination of home, family.

They opened the door of the compartment, as a whirlwind descended upon them and Harry could make out Hermione's frizzy hair as she wrapped them both in a hug and the sound of Neville's laughs. Blaise and Justin exchanged glances with each other and Millie Bulstrode high-fived Daphne Greengrass from across her seat.

Harry sighed, as the clouds of fate swirled around him and the train whistled as it sped on. From his window he could see Sirius smiling dumbly, arguing with Remus and Reg smacking him around his head.

He was home.
