Hello everyone and welcome to this short prologue to my future and maybe upcoming stories. The reason I write this is to get some opinions and feedback. This is a crossover between Kamen Rider Saber and Winx Club.
I do not own Kamen Rider or Winx Club.
Crossover 1: The Domino Effect
On the planet Domino, a man sat quietly on a bench in a beautiful garden. As he sat there, he took in the beautiful scenery before him. Flowers of various species let out a various scent that filled his nostrils. He was a man in his late twenties. He got a nice clean-cut brunette hair and a light shaved beard. He wore a long dark blue robe and black pants with black combat boots.
Walked in front of him as a group of young maids that couldn't resist taking a good look at the dashing man in front of them. The man smiled and gave them a slight nod, acknowledging their existence.
The maids blushed and giggled, before rushing off to complete their current task.
"Oh, Domino never lacking in pretty girls." He chuckled to himself. He lifts his head and looks at a massive castle in the distance. He was told to come here to meet with the royal family but they are currently in a meeting with the nobilities that should've ended about half an hour ago.
"Master Agular."
The man turned to see a palace messenger walked up to him. He was as white as sheets.
"His Majesty will see you now. He'll be waiting for you in the royal courtroom."
"Thank you. You seem pale, my friend. It's like you just witness something unexpected."
"You have no idea Master Agular. I would be lying if I say I'm not happy when King Oritel asks me to fetch you. Discussions between the royals and nobles could be tense at times."
"Glad it already ended. But, tell me. How do you know where to find me?" A cheeky smile carved onto his lips.
"It's no secret that you like spending time in the garden. Between you and me, many of the maids asked to be posted here to get a few good glances at you."
"Well, I hope they enjoy the show. Thank you. I'll be off."
After saying goodbye to the messenger, Agular makes his way to the royal palace. As he walked down the corridor to King Oritel's royal courtroom, he passed many statues of the past heroes of Domino.
Once he reached the large double doors, the guards stationed outside opened it for him alongside with a respectful bow of their heads. In the large luxurious room where the royal family members and nobilities of Domino gathered to discuss important issues, sat on a magnificent throne at the other side of the room was King Oritel, the king of Domino.
The king of tall stature with short brown hair, dressed in attire fit for a king. He stared into space with a frown on his face. The sour expression didn't last long when he saw who's approaching him.
"Agular. Just what I need right now, a friendly face." King Oritel warmly greeted the man. He stood up from his throne and shook his friend's hand.
"Thank you for meeting me, Your Majesty. I hope the meeting went well."
"Trust me, if it did, you wouldn't catch me in this state." He turned away instantly. He paced back and forth and shows no sign of stopping. "Anyway, the reason I called you here today is to ask about those monsters. What's the development?"
"There's had been Megid activities a few times on Domino. Mostly near the southern part. There are also several attacks on Solaria, but Saikou and Espada managed to deal with it."
"How about the other realms? Melody? Zenith?" King Oritel kept asking.
"A few attacks here and there, Your Majesty. Slash, with the help of Kenzan, managed to keep them from attacking the civilian populace. Blades haven't been in a single place for more than a day and he hasn't seen his son since the day the kid was born."
King Oritel sighed and sat back down on his throne. "What is happening? Megid attacks get more and more frequent every passing day. The swordsmen are spread thin. If only we could recruit more."
"Unfortunately, that's is not how it works, Your Majesty. The Sacred Swords choose their partners. Not everyone could be a swordsman."
"Yes. I am fully aware of that Agular. Even you wished it was simple as that. But, no matter. Let's put that behind us for now. Please, join my family for dinner. It's been a while since you join us. Daphne wouldn't stop asking me when you'll be joining us."
King Oritel put an arm across Agular's shoulder and escort him to the door. Before they could reach it, the door opened and a loud and angry voice entered their eardrums.
"Sorry for the intrusion but I must have an audience with you, Your Majesty."
The newcomer was a man as tall as King Oritel and has very well built. He has thick brown hair that combed backward. He wore a black noble robe with gold trimmings. He looked directly into King Oritel's eyes with anger filled his.
Behind him were his bodyguards, seeing them triggered an alarm in Agular's head. He stepped forward but King Oritel stopped him immediately.
"Lord Andovar. Good to see you after we just met a few minutes ago. Didn't you already said all you need to say to me?"
"I still need to discuss certain matters."
"Like what?"
"The arrange marriage between Domino's and Eraklyon's royal family."
King Oritel makes a face which clearly showed his not in the mood to discuss this. "Could this wait?"
"No! It cannot!"
Lord Andovar immediately felt a sharp pain against his chest. He looked down and see a tip of a sword resting on his chest, where his heart is. His bodyguard brandishes their weapons but the man raised his hand, stopping them.
His eyes lingered to the wielder of the sword.
Agular continues to press the sword onto the noble's chest. The sword was very unique and only Agular wield such a magnificent sword. It had a normal black and silver grip and a flame-styled guard. In the center of the guard was a symbol depicting two swords crossing into an 'X' with the right upper-side one designed to look like it was on fire.
"Now, now. Your Majesty, I apologized for my rudeness. Please order your man to stand down." Lord Andovar 'pleaded'.
"Oh, Lord Andovar. You know I can't order Agular to do anything." King Oritel chuckled in amusement. "Alright. Agular, stand down please."
Agular nodded and put aside his weapon.
"Thank you, Agular. Please leave me and Lord Andovar alone. We have a business to attend to. I hope we could reschedule our dinner for next time."
"Your Majesty, I think it's unwise of me to leave you alone with him. I shall remain here."
King Oritel shook his head, "No Agular. I shall be fine. There are guards here after all. Please, enjoy the rest of your day. I heard you hardly take any leave to enjoy yourself."
"But Your Majesty…."
Before he knew it, Agular was outside of the royal courtroom and the door shut tight behind him.
"Your Majesty!"
One of the guards shook his head, "You might just as well do what you're told, Master Agular. We'll remain constantly vigilant."
"Thank you."
Agular strolled through the corridor of the palace. Smiling and make small conversation with the palace's staff. He finally came to a small garden that usually reserves for the royal family. He came to a small patio and saw who was sitting at the table, enjoying an evening tea time.
She was a young woman with long flowing blonde hair. She wore an elegant dress, fitting for a princess. Agular approached her quietly, but she immediately turned around. Her amber eyes fixed into his brown ones.
"I guess I'm not that good at sneaking." Agular playfully commented.
"Master Agular." The young woman smiled and happily jumped into his arms. "Where have you been? You promised to visit us often."
Agular quickly let go of her, "I'm sorry Your Highness. Been busy. Megid attacks are getting more frequent, and…"
"Daphne!" the woman shouted.
"What?"
"Daphne. That's my name. Use it, please."
"Your Highness. I can't…"
"You can when we're alone."
Agular sighed. He cannot win against her. Throughout the years he knew her, she always trying to get him to be more open with her despite knowing the trouble he'll get into if King Oritel knew Agular getting too close with his eldest daughter.
"You know we're not exactly alone, right?" He pointed to a small crib next to the table.
"I forgot I brought her here the moment I saw you." Daphne pouted and walked over to the crib. She bends over and picked up a small baby with orange hair.
Agular stepped forward and gave the baby a small bow, causing the baby to burst into giggles "I'm happy that we finally meet, Princess Bloom."
"Can't believe my little sister will be my rival."
Agular pretends he didn't hear that. He looked at the sky and blocked the sun rays from blinding him.
"What are you thinking of, Master Agular?"
"Nothing. Just, I wonder if this peace will remain. There's nothing I'd wish for more, than the peace in the realm."
Daphne smiled and rocked Bloom in her arms. "I wished for that too, and I'm sure you and the Swords of Logos will continue to bring nothing but victory."
"Maybe. But I couldn't help but feel that the Swords of Logos' golden age is still yet to come, despite what everyone said."
Daphne was surprised to hear this.
"What are you talking about? I think the Swords of Logos are at their peak. My parents, the nobility, and even other realms monarchs couldn't stop praising your guild."
"My guild is praiseworthy but they are still far from in the best shape or form. We need to be prepared for anything, especially when the Megids are attacking non-stop."
"I'm sure you will be victorious as always." Daphne trying her best to reassure her friend.
"With the support of everyone, I'm sure we will."
GATRING! GATRING!
Agular answered his Gathikephone and turned away from Daphne.
"Yeah? I see. I understand. Okay. You get some rest now. Don't make me catch you in the Liberation again anytime soon. See you later."
"Did something happen?"
"No, nothing major. One of the rookie swordsmen got injured during training and I need to take his post."
"Can't they have someone else, do it? You just arrived."
"Sorry, Your Majesty. I need to get going. We'll meet again." Agular bowed and kissed her hand before opened a small book in his hand.
BOOK GATE
A large book appeared and opened in front of him. He walked through it and the book disappeared, leaving a sad Daphne behind.
The book reappeared in a large room filled with beautiful decorations. Agular stepped out and was greeted by the people around him, wearing red robes.
"Welcome back to the Southern Base, Master Agular." One of them said.
"Good to be back. Haven't been here in a while. Where's the old man?"
Instead of the people in the red robes, another voice came behind him. "In his study, where else? Took you long enough to return. Shanking with some Domino girls?"
Agular turned to an older man in the same dark blue robes as him. He got long black hair with an orange tip kept in a ponytail. He was slightly taller than Agular. Displaying a cheeky grin as he scratching his quite pointy chin.
"If you must know, I'm doing my job as a swordsman. You, on the other hand, Davion, just loitering around at the base."
Davion laughed and the two walked down the hall together.
"Hey, if I'm on the field. It will be too easy. The Megid will be running for their lives with just one good look at me. Glad you're here though, the old man in a bad mood recently."
"The same reason?"
Davion reluctantly nodded.
"The same reason. Megid attacks, pressure from the nobles and royals. Some even directly punished the swordsmen for any slightest mistakes."
"They can't do that. Only the guild allows to give out punishments."
Davion shrugged his shoulders.
"Now you can see why the master's on edge. He needs to keep the royals and nobles in line. The rookie almost lost his life when received that punishment. One that doesn't fit the crime. I hope I didn't call you at a bad time."
"I was with Daphne when you called. I had to lie to her. If not, she will directly go to her father and King Oritel will bring it up at his future meetings and this will be an even worse issue."
Davion grabbed Agular's shoulder and stopped him from walking any further.
"We need to stand firm Agular. We might swear loyalty to them but we are not their properties to be treated like even less than animals. You're lucky Agular. King Oritel is fair and just. Some others are not so lucky. They have tyrants as their kings and queens."
"That's only a small few," Agular replied.
"Does that mean that their lives not as important? We're just going sit by?" Davion countered.
"We will do something about it, Davion. I assure you of it."
Davion sighed and nodded. "Yeah. Thanks, buddy."
"Anytime. I need to get going."
"Right. See you."
It wasn't long Agular left the man, he felt someone is watching him. He fastens his pace but whoever watching him seems to be able to keep up with him. He turned around the corner and hid there. He peeked and saw no one.
"Must be my imagination."
He's about to continue until a pair of small arms wrap around his neck from behind.
"Oh no. I've been attacked by a Megid." Agular jokingly 'screamed'.
"Hey, I'm not a Megid." The small pair of arms let go and Agular turned to see a small boy around 8-years-old. He got wavy hair with orange tips at the end that went slightly past his shoulders. "I will be the guild's strongest swordsmen, and every Megid will be scared of me."
"Just like your uncle?"
The boy crossed his arms, "What? No. I will be stronger than Uncle Davion. You just wait and see and I'll beat you as well."
Agular laughed at the boy's determination. He ruffled the kid's hair and the boy retaliated.
"Hey. Stop that. I'm strong you know."
"I know you are. That's why I'm looking forward to fighting you myself, Nolan."
Nolan smiled, "Cool. I'll be waiting for that day. Sorry, got to go. I promised Maria that I'll play with her."
"Oh, getting close to a girl now? I could hear the wedding bells already." Agular teased the blushing kid.
"What? Eww, no. I can't marry her. She's my best friend. We'll take on the world together and show the Megid we mean business." Nolan demonstrated this by doing multiple poses.
"I'm sure you two will. Sorry, I got to go. Have fun. Say hi to Maria for me."
"Okay." Nola waved and ran off to find his friend.
Agular, after no more distraction, arrived outside of Master Logos' study. He entered and saw the room was not in good condition as ever. The study was a big room with tall bookshelves against the walls. Books were scattered all over the floor and even on the chair and tables. There were some books near the fireplace, which Agular swiped them and place on the table.
"The old man's is a danger to himself."
"I heard that you know."
Approaching him from behind was an elderly man. He wore a red robe with a hood. He got silver hair and a short silver beard. Despite his age, he still looking strong and sharp, for the most part.
"Master. When the last time you put back your books?"
"When's the last time you come home?" The elderly man shot back, and Agular flinched.
"You know I've been busy. But, I'm here now. I've heard what happened. Did you…?"
Master Logos picked up a stack of books and Agular did the same, "Give those fools some piece of my mind? Yes, yes, I did. I was this close to giving them a whooping, if not Blades holding me back. I may be old but I'm still a swordsman."
He put back all the books on the shelves and Agular assisted him as he passed more books his Master's way.
"I do not doubt your skills, Master. But Blades made a good choice, you will massacre them in an instant." Agular nodded.
"Now, they will know better than to raise their hands against my swordsmen. If any of you messed up, the proper way is to report an official complaint, not brutally punish them within the inch of their lives. The poor boy has only been a swordsman for a mere two months."
Agular frowned at the news. Swordsmen supposed to be strong but some of the royals and nobles used their loyalty to take advantage of them. Even the slightest retaliation will be considered treason and this is not good.
Agular was lucky to swear his loyalty to King Oritel, a good king as far as good kings go.
"I will bring this up at future meetings with them." Master Logos said.
"Is this necessary, Master?"
"Of course, it is. If we let this continue. More and more swordsmen will be badly treated by the higher class. We have to look after our own. If not, who will? You understand me, Agular?"
"Yes, master."
"Good." Master Logos finished putting back the books, he walked over to his table, filled with documents and more books. "We're in a bad position right now. There's had been more sightings and attacks by the Megid in the last couple of months. We're spreading thin. Too thin for my liking."
"Is there anything I could do to help? Please, Master."
"I know I criticized your lacking of returning home, but I need you to be ready to go back out there at any moment's notice. I feel bad winds blowing our way. Speaking of winds, did Kenzan managed to find a successor yet?"
"I don't think so, sir."
Master Logos crashed into his chair and Agular sat on the one near him.
"Blasphemy. That guy is already in his seventh decade and still no worthy successor to The Sword of Winds."
"I talked to Kenzan about it once, he said the Sword of Winds, Hayate required someone with extreme patients to wield. Every student he mentored turns out to be more hot-headed than the last."
"Youngsters these days, lacking the patients. I guess it's our fault in a way. We showered them with tales of glory without telling them the proper way to achieve them." Master Logos was about to reach for a cigarette when Agular's Gathikephone rang.
GATRING! GATRING!
"Hello?"
"Master Agular?" It was Daphne", she sounds very scared and terrified. "I'm sorry for calling you. I know you said to only use this Gathikephone you gave me for emergencies, but I don't who else to turn to."
"Daphne? It's okay. Calm down. What's wrong?" Agular began to get worried for her.
"I don't know. After you left, everything's fine, but all of the sudden. The sky, it turned dark, very dark."
Agular raised a brow and turned to his master. The elderly man's interest peaked as well.
"The sky's turned dark? Is there anything different about it?"
"I don't know myself, but I could feel powerful evil magic from it. Please come back. My father needs you more than ever. I need you. "Daphne whispered the last part.
Agular's and Master Logos' eyes connected and the old man immediately got up from his seat.
"Don't worry Daphne. We'll be there soon."
Agular hangs up and follows Master Logos to the center of the room. Master Logos focused his powers and surrounded himself with a glow of golden aura. Without opening his mouth, his thoughts boomed through the heads of every swordsman served under him.
"Attention to all available members of The Swords of Logos within the sound of my voice. Head my words. An evil and foul disturbance is gathering on Domino. All available body, head to Domino's aid immediately. This is an order from your master."
After he sends the message, he began to feel his old age getting to him. "Go Agular, we couldn't…"
"Master Logos! Master Logos!"
The door barged open by one of the bases' members. He was pale and trying to catch his breath.
"What's the matter, boy?"
"Domino is under attack! The Ancestral Witches! They're attacking Domino!"
Agular cursed rapidly in his head. He violently pushed aside the messenger and ran past everyone in the hall that currently frantically getting ready for combat.
"Agular! Over here!" Davion called out to him and the two of them hurried to the rendezvous point.
"What is this about Domino's being under attack?!" Davion asked his friend.
"The Ancestral Witches. They're finally making their moves."
"Uncle Davion! Master Agular!"
The two adults turned to see Nolan. The boy was holding the hand of a little girl in a red dress that appeared to be shorter than him. She got blonde hair tied into twin pigtails at the side of her head. She also hugged a pink stuff ladybug closely to her chest.
"What's going on?" Nolan asked his uncle.
Davion kneeled to his nephew and put his hands on the boy's shoulder.
"Master Agular and I need to get going. A serious job arises."
"Are you going to defeat some Megids?" Asked the boy.
"Yes, and we will win of course. Be good until we get back. Then we will celebrate our victory together."
The two kids smile as the two adults continue with their journey.
Agular opened the Book Gate and entered it. Davion stopped himself and turned back to the two children. He gave them both a thumbs up and received back from the two of them. He proceeds forward and entered the book.
Seeing the two role models of his life vanished, Nolan held firm the hand of his friend. "Come on Maria. Let's get ready some snacks for them to celebrate their victory later."
"Can we make some caramel pudding?" The little girl suggested.
"Sure. Next stop, the kitchen." Nolan happily declared and the two ran there, hand in hand.
Davion was trying to make sense out of all this. "How they managed to get the drop on us?"
Agular just growled and cursed under his breath. If only he stayed a little longer.
'Forgive me, Daphne. I should have stayed.'
"Hurry up!" He shouted at no one as he felt the travel through the Book Gate took longer than needed. Davion held his shoulder.
"Agular. Calm down."
Agular pushed Davion's hand off of him and ready his weapon. Davion saw no point in trying to calm his friend down, he just readies himself. At the end of the journey, they exited the Book Gate and saw the dark sky looming over Domino.
The sky was darker than they ever witness, the thick black clouds circled the entire area. Purple lightning strikes almost anywhere it could reach. Fireballs rain from the sky, destroying many buildings and towers that beautifully stretch to the sky only a few hours ago.
The wind that blew was strong enough to put almost anyone off balance. The people of Domino ran and screamed for their lives in an attempt to seek safe haven from the appending doom. The guards are doing their best to keep everything under control but many were decimated by the aforementioned fireballs and lighting from the sky.
"What's going on here?"
"Watch out." Davion pushed Agular out of the way as a fireball heading towards them and destroy the ground where they once stood.
"Damn it."
"Agular. There's someone over here."
Agular rushed over to Davion's side to see a man buried under a pile of rubble. It was the palace messenger from earlier. He suffered from a minor injury on his head but still far away from death's door.
"Are you okay?" Davion asked him. "Can you hear me?"
"The palace…King Oritel...the royal family…trapped…" The messenger muttered slowly.
"Go, Agular. I got him. Get to the place now. It might took a while for reinforcement to arrive."
Agular nodded and gripped the messenger's hand. "Stay strong, friend."
"Master Agular…please safe them…"
"I will."
Agular ran to the palace which was nearby. He ran past by bodies of the guards and even the people. He almost made it when powerful dark magic sends him flying into the air and he merely managed to regain his balance.
He looked up to see three figures in black robes hovering in the sky. All three of them were the most deformed and hideous-looking individuals Agular ever laid his eyes on. Surrounding them was an aura that only enhance the darkness within their hearts.
"It's been a long time since we last met, The Swordsman of Flames."
"Ancestral Witches." Agular gritted his teeth and pulled out his trusty arsenal and place it on his waist. A belt with three empty slots. His sword is currently slotted into the belt like a scabbard.
SEIKEN SWORDDRIVER
He pulled out a small red book and flipped the cover open.
BRAVE DRAGON
There was once a God Beast possessing a great power that would destroy everything...
He closed it and put it on the rightest slot on his belt, right next to the handle of the sword.
"Henshin."
"Like we would let you!"
The three Ancestral Witches combined their respective powers and send it directly to Agular. The attack landed directly in a huge explosion.
"That's handled him for now." Said the one with long silver hair.
"This is our chance. He won't stay down for long." The one with short hair stated.
"Wait, what's that?" The last one of the three asked.
REKKA UNSHEATHE
A powerful fiery explosion erupted in front of the Ancestral Witches, which the shockwaves plus the flames pushed them back with great force.
BRA~VE~DRA~GON
Where Agular once stood, there was a masked swordsman with a bodysuit combination of red, white, and black, on the right, middle and left side respectively. On his right shoulder, mounted a dragon head that attached to a red robe went down the right side of his body. Among the most noticeable about him was the flaming 'X' on his face that makes the eyes and the sharp blade on his forehead.
This is Kamen Rider Saber, The Swordsmen of Flames.
In his hand was the Rekka, The Sword of Flames, burning bright and ready to strike down its enemies.
"Come at me. You shall not win as long as The Swords of Logos still standing."
The Ancestral Witches powered up their attacks, as Saber leaped into the air and sends a blast of fire at them. They shoot their magic at him but he amazingly dodged them without effort. A few more attacks came from the side, but Saber blocked them by conjuring a wall of flames around him.
With a powerful slash, the wall of flames dispersed and hit the Witches directly, pushing them further away. Saber landed back on the ground and ran to avoid multiple attacks from various directions.
He scaled up a nearby building and leap higher into the air. He maneuvered himself to get behind the Witches and send a powerful gust of flames directly at them.
"This ends now!"
[DOMINO, 16 YEARS LATER]
A 16-years-old male teen steps foot on the snowy ground. He wore majestic blue armor with a lion head on his chest piece. He stood on top of a cliff that oversees where the proud palace of Domino once located. Sadly, he never gotten a chance to see it for himself.
This is due to the palace currently buried under a mountain of snow and ice due to a powerful blizzard that hasn't stopped for the last 16 years. Not just the palace was freezing in a blizzard but the entire planet of Domino.
The teen still wondered how the powerful guild was known as the Swords of Logos, the guild he's a part of, actually lose that day. It's unbelievable and unfathomable. Not just to him but anyone that knew and vouch for the guild's strength.
Some say, it was an army of Megid overwhelming them but low-ranking Megid never gave the swordsmen too much trouble whenever they are in a group and the three Megid generals were never there that day.
Since then, the guild's good name shattered in an instant. The Swordsmen were blamed for the downfall of Domino and the loss of its royal family. This mostly came from the less fair and just families but it doesn't help either way. The teen doesn't have much knowledge of what truly happened. After all, he was a baby when it happened. All he knows, growing up, his father went through a serious case of depression and mental breakdown until the day he lost his life during a mission for the guild.
Whenever he asked about it to the older members of the guild, they would just stay quiet and ignored his questions. Sooner or later, the teen would know better than to pry further.
Many swordsmen resigned from continuing their duties and focus on training the new generation. New and fresh blood. Hoping to create a new team of swordsmen and undo the mistakes and failures of the previous ones.
Nonetheless, the guild's good name slowly and steadily restored over the last 16 years after more and more regaining their trust for them but old scars don't vanish that easily and were considered to be a dark moment in the guild's history.
The teen in armor looked around him and figures it's time for him to leave. He came here whenever he could, hoping he would find something. He doesn't have the slightest clue what it might be, but he was hoping for something to uncover the secrets that had been buried for the last 16 years.
GATRING! GATRING!
His Gathikephone rang loudly. He cursed the distraction but answered it anyway.
"Hello? Kody? What is it?"
"Arno. Come back to the Northern Base. Lady Sophia finally senses its presence."
"Sense what?"
"Rekka, the Sword of Flames."
"What? Where? Did she say where?"
"Earth, but…"
"I'll head there immediately…" The teen named Arno hastily replied.
"Arno! Listen to me. Don't do this. Rendezvous at the Northern Base first. Get the official orders before heading out. You know better than this."
Arno gulped at the scolding he's received but understand it completely.
"Okay, Kody. I'll return to the base soon."
He hanged up and take one last look at the frozen planet. His eyes filled with determination.
"We will set things right and the Swords of Logos will rise once more. Watch over me father."
BOOK GATE
He summoned the Book Gate and with a confident stride, he entered the Book Gate to receive his official orders. Little did he know, this will start a series of events that will lead the Swords of Logos to a new age.
