"Looks like danger sense has calmed down."

A person with a mop of unruly green hair and particular freckles is dressed in a black jumpsuit that closely resembles a rabbit (though he says otherwise) leaped off the ground as numerous colors of electricity wrapped around his body. He sighed heavily as he landed on the roof of a building and pulled out a phone to dial his mentor "I'll be right there All Might."

He then started to run across the top of the buildings towards All Might at the meetup point they agreed to after he recaptured Muscular and turned him into Diana Police Precinct.

Although he could not help but ask his inner shadowy counterpart as he sailed through the air, 'That went better than the last time we encountered him in the summer camp, huh shadow?', he quipped.

'Hehe, yeah!', a dark yet familiar voice inside him exclaimed joyfully, 'You didn't even need my help this time! You've come a long way from when we first met Izuku!'

Midoriya couldn't help but chuckle in amusement as he thought about his quirk's statement about his growth. They have been together for a while now, since at least the USJ incident when his shadow friend first manifested near the beginning of the school year. Several incidents have only strengthened their connection, such as the sports festival, the rescue mission of Eri, and especially the summer camp where they got ambushed by the 'League of Villains'.

'Come on, we don't want to keep All Might waiting for too long,' he said as he made his way to an alley.

*In a secluded Alley*

Midoriya landed on the ground a safe distance away from his mentor to make sure he wasn't being followed before making his way towards the meetup spot.

"Young Midoriya, how are you? Any injuries?" he asked as Midoriya checked his arms and legs for any signs of damage. Midoriya looked up to All Might with a smile as he stated "None at all! The support you gave me helped me reduced the stress on my arms really helped." All Might smiled as he sighed in relief of the outcome. "I'm glad." before turning his expression to grime and serious, "It should be fruitful in your endeavors as you make your way towards All for One and Shigaraki. Midoriya couldn't help but turn a bit nervous as he turned to look at his teacher, "Do you think I will be ready by the time that I get there All Might?"

All might couldn't help the chuckle and smile that escaped his lips as he stated "I don't think so my boy, I know you will be. You have proven yourself numerous times that are more than worthy and to perfectly honest, I always kinda had a feeling it would be you that would obtain my powers, even if you were the 10th and not the 9th inheritor." Midoriya couldn't help the shock expression that spread across his face, and he could tell Shadow felt the same way. "HUH!? BUT HOW?!" He didn't think he did anything special, hard to do that when he once stood next to the 9th inheritor of One for All and saw first-hand how much 60% of One for All be used successfully.

Now it was All Might's turn to take on a look of surprise and a bit of amusement as he stated "My boy, you forget that I have been watching you as much as the other students throughout the school year. I heard how you handle yourself at the USJ, witnessed your fierce determination during the Sports Festival, and heard and saw your tenacity of the summer camp and the Kamino incident. And this was even before you received One for All to begin with! I could say without a doubt that you are more than worthy of receiving One for All, and your upperclassman has stated the same to me numerous times before it made it on to you." he stated with absolute pride and certainty. "A-All Might…" Midoriya couldn't help but let tears stream out as he reached out to hug his mentor, teacher, and dare he says father figure in his life. While the two embraced for what may be for a long while, a dark being made of shadows emerged from Midoriya's back and gently poked both of them on the shoulders looking shy. Midoriya couldn't help himself and let out a wet chuckle as he said, "Yes Shadow, you can hug as well." As darkness added another layer to the embrace, All Might also chuckled as he reminded his student, "You know, I sometimes forget that you have a shadow friend like young Tokoyami". The three shared the embrace for a couple of minutes before they reluctantly separated as final preparations were made.

"Alright Midoriya," All Might said as he wiped a few tears of his own, then pulled out a wad of cash, a debit card, and an emergency phone. "This phone is for you to contact us when you finally locate All for One, call me the top three heroes and I will meet you there to help. The card is for you to use when the cash runs out." He cut Midoriya off as he knew the question he was going to ask. "And before you ask, no the card can't be traced, being the number one hero required me to make long undercover missions back in the day so sometimes my sometimes my card my kept anonymous." Midoriya put the phone in his backpack while putting a few bills in his pocket along with the card as All Might continued to speak.

"There is no telling where All for One will be hiding now that most villains have escaped their cells, and civilians are in a panic. You don't have to worry though; you have One for All's and your classmate's quirks. In a way, we are all supporting you on your journey. I don't have any doubt that you will succeed in finding him." Midoriya nodded dutifully and with a final hug and goodbye he charged up and leaped away from All Might.

As he watched his successor fade away from him in the background, he couldn't help but wonder how this will all play out in the end. "Good Luck young Midoriya…"

Hello, this is my first MHA fanfic on this site. To bring some clarity, Midoriya does have a quirk that he was born with, but he also will eventually get OFA. Will this be OP in the future? Probably, but that is what this site is for sooo. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. A hint of what his quirk is that I got it from an A03 story where he was a "villain" (In quotes for a reason), and after three or so chapters I will reveal what the story is so have fun.
