Prologue

There was thunder and lightning; the wind blew hard; the rain poured.

The drizzling had turned into a downpour, soaking the dense forest.

The ground has become moist, the air was cruel and damp.

Come on jade. Faster.

The blood-soaked black hair yells at her ebony mare. Her voice was unsteady. It was becoming extremely difficult to see ahead in the downpour.

The wind whipped her hair back from her face. As they speed up. Cold air bit into her lungs. Making it hard for her to breathe.

I can see her. Prepare your arrow. The high and squeaky voice of the man shouted at his comrades.

Soon the arrow went over her head and follow by two more.

She gasped and dropped, crying out when the second arrow tore into her. She pulls the arrow out from her shoulder. Throw it away on the moving ground.

What she didn't notice was the arrow was lace with fatal poison.

The flat yet lifeless amber eyes twirled her head to watch them.

There she saw the cavalry of men.

In her quiver, there were only four bows. And she knows she has to outcome them.

Jade when I say leap, leap as high as you can.

The black beauty neigh in return.

Ahead of them was an old wood bridge in a fragile stage. This was an opportunity amber eye girl was looking for.

She spurs her mare. "Now"

On her master command, The black beauty leaps as far as she could.

The raven hair turns her body, pulls the bowstring as far as it can go. Aimed at the forefronts.

Thug

The two arrows pierce straight into the heart of the riders. Making their horse go wild.

This cause disturbance among the cavalry.

Leap again. Girl commanded.

As the girl arrives at the end of the bridge she turns her body and prepares to shoot the remaining arrow.

The Raven hair used her magic to put the last two arrows on the fire.

Instead of shooting towards the rest of the cavalry. She shoots them at the end of the rope of the bridge.

which loses the hold, And the bridge began to fall apart. Causing the cavalry to fall into the river. After she was sure that no one was following her.

She continues her journey.

Her face was bloodied, and one arm was covered in blood from her shoulder wound. Blood left her head so fast that for a moment she thought she would faint.

As she reached near, at distance she saw the familiar reddish glow.

Without hesitation, she rode fast towards the castle.

The flames engulfing the dome of the castle. Black smoke billowing from the burning flat.

For a minute her mind went blank.

The roar of the fire shook her out of her daze. It was a burning inferno. Engulfing everything on its path.

She was late.

Realization washed over her in alternating waves of pain and numbness. It was more excruciating than her wound.

She got down from her mare. Runs towards the keep.

There she saw the dead bodies of the Imperial guards. With their limbs cut and head decapitated.

The water around the keep has turned red. Bright red.

The piles of the bodies, People who adore her. Loved her.

Laying on the ground, blood gushing from their bodies.

She bit her lips to keep her from quivering and blinked her eyes to get rid of the blur.

No, no. The amber eye wail.

This has to be a nightmare. It has to be. Maybe God is paying trick.

Schools, hospitals, The church everything she knew was wrecked. Ignite with flames.

Help, someone help. It was a distinctive cry.

The voice known to her. She had heard it million times.

Terror sucked the very breath from her about.

The dishevelled girl flees toward the direction cry that where seemed to originate.

There lay the figure of women soaked in the blood.

She looked fearfully at the pregnant blonde. Her best friend. She forces her legs moves towards her direction.

It's ok. Everything is ok Miko.

Raven head said. As she tries to tie a piece of fabric which she had a tear from her gown. Her hands were shaking. As she tied the knot on her best friend wound.

Mis- Misaki. You are here. A flood of tears gushed down to her ashen cheeks. A hint of relief can be heard from the lady's voice.

Yes, everything is- Misaki eyes enlarged. But it was too late.

The lady coughs the blood. followed by the two sharp breath. Suddenly The lady's body becomes still. Her eyelids half-closed.

Misaki tried reviving her, but she wasn't opening her eyes.

She was dead. Her best friend die.

if it's a girl I will name her Misaki and if it's a boy his name will be saki.

The memory of her best friend flashes before her eyes.

No one will call her aunt.

Misaki could hold the heartbreak no longer and she fell to the floor in a dishevelled heap as her grief poured out in a flood of uncontrollable tears.

Her eyes bleed with pain.

They will pay if it. Whoever did this will have to pay price for it. She wants their blood. A surge of outrage bursts from her.

She picks the sword from the ground began walking towards the crumbling palace.

Mother, Mother. father. called frantically for them desperate yet hopeful maybe they have survived through this. She quickened her pace until steps became leaps.

She opens the door of the throne room. The walls of the room were covered with a splash of blood.

There she notices two familiar figures laying on the ground. Still like a statue.

No, no, Mom wake up.

Misaki runs her hands on her mom's head. Frantically calling her name. Shaking her body. Looking of any sign of alive. Yet the body remains unresponsive.

The stored tears continued to flow and the sobs wracked her body, robbing it of the ability to speak barely allowing a breath to be drawn.

Misaki stroked her father hair and kissed his forehead, while tears coursed down her cheeks as well.

She stood for a couple of seconds, her stomach churning, her eyes closed. She wanted to be suddenly small and to crawl into her father lap.

She has lost everyone. They are all gone. Her dead eyes glanced at their bodies.

Misaki! Thank God you are ok. The familiar voice called her from the back.

As his arms spread wide, welcoming me in, she immediately enters them.

Hinata what- before she could say another word she felt the dagger pierced straight towards her stomach.

What. Why. All sort of question came down to her mind Her body didn't know how to react, it just shut down. She froze to a point where she was hardly breathing.

Why Misaki voice tremble. As she stumbles on her knees.

Because we were fed up with you. The voice replied from the other side of the room.

It was her sister. She watches her sister stand next to Hinata as she kissed him. Her hands ran down his body possessively.

It was you. Suzuna, You killed mom dad. They loved you. how could you do this?

Misaki mumbled. Coughing the blood out of her mouth.

Suzuna's eyes widened. Onee-chan you think I would kill our family. I'm horrified. And in my defence, there were already dead when I got here. Her voice held no remorse.

I don't care even if they are dead. You say they loved me! Huh, Suzuna threw back her head and let out a loud, humourless laugh.

They loved you not me.

All they care about was you. Misaki this Misaki that. We are twins yet they always favour you more than me. Just because magic runs into your blood.

Her eyes narrowed as she points a finger at Misaki.

Lightning flashed around them and thunder rumbled.

I loved you. Misaki said this time to her knight her lover. To her surprise, her voice cracked, and her eyes burned with unshed tears.

Her expression was a fifty-fifty mixture of pain and anger.

Silly girl, you thought I loved you. A cynical laugh left from Hinatas month.

You were just a tool for me to reach the top. Now I have reached. I don't need someone like you. Someone who is a freak.

The man waved a knife at her, an evil smile on his lips.

He pressed the tip against her skin, applying the slightest amount of pressure, drawing blood. Before stabbing her on their unwound shoulder.

Oh, my. Suzuna purred.

How splendid it is to see 'Almighty Misaki' reduced to a whimpering bloody mess.

It feels amazing. Hearing your whimpers. These are melodious to my ears. Right, Hinata.

Yes, they are honey. After this, there will be only one princess who will rule the Saki. Hinata smirked.

Are you still a princess. if your kingdom is in ruins? if there is no one left to rule over but corpses.

Misaki questioned.

huh, I see you still have power left to utter. Hinata inquiry.

Perhaps, this will help you to remind the position you are in.

He stabs the second knife, but this time into her chest.

She pulled the knife from her chest and smiled.

Was that supposed to hurt?

Misaki raises bloody her hand. And used every inch of energy left to cast a spell.

Aldera Rigor, she murmured under her breath.

Misaki collapsed as all her energy seemed to have diminished.

A blast of fire tore through him as she directed her magic into him.

The spell was so powerful that it sends Hinata body flying back before hitting the wall.

Are you ok honey? Suzuna rushes towards Hinata and helps him to stand up.

That bitch, how is that possible that she can still use her power didn't that stupid guard stab her with the poisonous dart. Hinata sneered at the unconscious body.

As he began to move towards the body. Suddenly the voice out of nowhere called him.

See the cruelty and pain,

That you have caused once,

I turned the tables thee,

Bring light to your action.

When the light fades,

And dusk comes through.

The pain you have caused will come back through.

I say this spell to karma tonight,

May he heard my plea.

In a minute the voice was gone.

Who are you? show yourself. Don't be a coward.

Hinata moves his head searching for the source of the voice. His jaw tightened and his eyes flashed a warning.

Suzuna eyes widened. She sank to the ground, shocked. Her face has become pale. She just whispered one word over and over again.

Otami. Goddess of fire.
