"You're needed in LA," Hermione said over the phone, a little hesitant, a little irritated and yet…

"What the fuck's in LA?" Harry questioned, his eyes narrowing as he looked out over the team of dragon handlers and Charlie in Romania. He shivered slightly even though it was warm and sunny here, as dragons roared around him. One of the handlers looked at him funny and he shrugged, already more than used to being cold during the summer. "And LA as in Los Angeles, California or Los Altos or…"

"Los Angeles, California. MACUSA's calling a conference over there about one of their most recent cases," Hermione offered, the scowl coming through her voice quite clearly.

Harry grinned faintly. "Someone annoying you?"

"One of the newest reporters at the Daily Prophet wants to interview me," Hermione retorted. "My friendship with the Boy-Who-Lived."

Now it was Harry's turn to scowl. "I don't even want to know what they want. Probably if I've found my soulmate."

"Harry…" Hermione trailed off, her voice lowering. "You'll find them. It's you."

Harry sighed and shook his head, waving to Charlie as Norberta flew over towards him. The dragon that he had seen hatching back in their second year had grown so big that she was now the size of a barn. "The lines have moved over the past five years more often than not."

"You can feel that?"

"Yeah? Can't everyone feel when their soulmate moves around?" Harry asked before frowning. "No, don't answer that. I already know the answer."

Hermione snorted. "Anyway… I need you to go to Los Angeles. Check in with the No-Maj FBI department. They have a contact there."

"Right. I'll be there in a day or so. I'm in Romania right now."

Brian sighed as he strode through the hall of the FBI office, his arm in a sling, hearing Stasiak yell at him. His body still ached even a week after the confrontation and then chase with Braga and Fenix, courtesy of colliding with Fenix's car. The heat that had been lost over the past five years was back with him, a line of heat that connected him to Dom, making him realize he had missed it. Had missed that family, missed those looks that Dom gave him, heated fondness in those brown eyes. Missed Mia too even though they weren't soulmates. The Torettos had taken him in those five years ago and had gotten split up all to hell, after what he had done.

He flinched at the memory of Dom's cold expression when Brian had revealed his identity to save Vince's life. The moment Brian had handed over the keys to the Supra, had given up his job, his career to let Dom go, that heat had once again exploded between their fingers, making Brian shudder with it. Dom's lips had twitched up into a small but hesitant grin, half smirk, half something else, and then he had taken off. Leaving Brian cold again, leaving him to fully feel those two lines of cold again.

The other line of cold though… was getting less and less chilly as the last few days passed, rising a few degrees every hour. It was like their other soulmate was moving, traveling closer and closer, maybe even moving to LA, and Brian wondered.

Soulmarks were peculiar even in the 21st century and Brian had sworn off those two lines of cold when he had gotten his. Fate wasn't going to call his every move. He was going to make his own family, after seeing what had become of his parents and their twisted relationship.

Now… seeing Dom sitting in that jail cell had made him all the more determined to make sure Dom never went back to Lompoc. Even if that was… fighting on the other side of the law. He had let Dom go once. He wasn't going to make the same mistake, not after peering into those brown eyes as Dom said I ain't running anymore. It felt like coming home again, working together, and Brian was not going to-

"Whoa!"

His arm flared in pain as he knocked right into another man on the way to his office, running up against heat. Heat and fire and… Brian's eyes widened as he fell backwards, landing on his ass, as literal fire exploded between him and the guy, a literal line of heat sparking into life, connecting them on the floor. The flames sparked and ran from his foot to the other guy's foot, changing color, changing from red to green to ice white, and then extinguished after a minute, leaving the tile floor permanently stained.

Brian stared at the line of burned tile floor between them, distantly realizing the nerves and bone in his arm were flaring in pain. The FBI agents around them all stared out at the two of them, their eyes wide with surprise and awe and suspicion. The line of heat that was his line to Dom strengthened and tightened just as the other line of heat did too. With Brian just now realizing that the man in front of him was...

"Oh fuck."

Brian finally looked up at the guy and finally looked up into bright green eyes. The guy had a head of messy black hair, bright green eyes that had matched the color of the flames for a hot minute, and a vividly shaped scar on his forehead. The English accent made him stop moving for a moment before he reached up to the wall beside him, to hoist himself up with one arm.

"You alright?"

Brian hesitated before nodding, meeting those green eyes. "I'm fine aside from the already broken arm. You?"

The guy nodded and then held out a hand, jerking a thumb out to their audience. "I'm fine. You know a place where we can talk in private?"

Brian looked the guy over, that dark green shirt with jeans that did nothing but show off how in shape the guy was. The guy was built like a runner, lean and strong, not as physically intimidating as Dom was, but there was something in those green eyes that was familiar. Aside from his first glances to their audience, Harry hadn't seemed to pay attention to every other FBI agent. Shrugging off those looks like he dealt with them or looks like them every single day.

"I'm Harry."

"Brian. My office is this way," Brian finally said, gesturing with his good arm and leading the way, his heart hammering in his chest. He had met their other soulmate and Dom was in jail. Dom was in jail and… he felt all those stares of his colleagues doubly now. He wondered if Harry was Dom's soulmate too, decided to ask that after they were in his office, in private. "Assuming you're not here as a suspect."

Harry snorted, his lips twitched up into an amused grin. "No. Your honor as an FBI agent is still intact. You're not soulmates with a criminal. I'm not here as a suspect. I was in fact here for business."

Brian grimaced as Harry fell into step with him, their shoulders touching, his own fingers curling and uncurling. "It's some honor."

"Hmm?"

They passed Stasiak and Brian's boss and as soon as he closed the door behind Harry, in his own office, he let out a strained breath. He ached to work on the Charger again, having had it towed back to Mia and Dom's home on Echo Park. What would Harry think about having Dom for a soulmate, if they were each other's soulmates too? Would he be disgusted? Would he…

"Brian? You really alright?"

"Yeah, I'm fine. So… about that pyrotechnic display… What the fuck?"

Harry eyed him thoughtfully, flickering with a little hint of uncertainty. "You… We have another soulmate, don't we?"

"Yeah. Dominic Toretto."

"So you know who he is," Harry said, sitting down on the desk opposite Brian's, where Trinh had set up.

"Yep. We've already met," Brian offered, crossing his good arm over his injured one. "We've already met and lost each other and then found each other again. The heat of our meeting was halfway confused for the heat of a car's engine, for Dom's sister, up until… Well… When I let him go."

Harry blinked and then nodded, swallowed, before opening his mouth again. "Long story, I take it?"

Brian snorted. "Yeah."

"That whole pyrotechnic display?" Harry echoed Brian's words, his voice lowering a notch. He was silent for a minute or two then and Brian could see the man thinking, watching gears move behind the man's eyes. He was clearly debating something, making Brian wonder what it was that Harry was arguing internally over.

"Ahhh, fuck it."

"That's my MO," Brian said wryly.

Harry laughed quietly, giving him a slow appraising look, making Brian heat up a little extra, reminding him of the now two lines of heat he could feel. "I didn't expect the reaction to be that literal though I should have expected something. I don't do anything by halves. Apparently meeting one of my soulmates is not an exception to the rule. My magic's going haywire right now, trying to curl into you."

Brian waited for more and when none was forthcoming, he blinked. "Magic."

"Yep."

Harry didn't at all look like he was joking around or like he was playing him. His green eyes softened a little as he watched Brian stand at the door, his arms at his sides.

"Magic like…"

"Merlin. Gandalf. Me. I'm a wizard," Harry remarked, taking a step towards him and another, catching and holding Brian's gaze as he closed the distance between them. He reached out and tapped a finger to Brian's cast, lifting a pointed eyebrow. "May I?"

"May you what?" Brian asked wearily.

"Show off a little? I can heal your arm," Harry answered, a hint of teasing to his voice, lightly trailing his fingers over the cast, before putting two fingers on Brian's good arm, drawing something on his bare skin. Heat flickered at the touch and Brian shivered slightly, feeling those two fingers like they were branding him.

"Wait. What?" Brian tried getting his head out of the gutter and was mostly successful. Harry met his eyes easily, knowingly, and Brian stuck out his tongue at him, at his other soulmate. Harry's lips twitched in bemusement, his fingers dancing between Brian's bare arm and the arm that was in a cast.

"Inhale for me," Harry suggested quietly, his voice dropping a notch.

"You're trying to seduce me," Brian muttered, swearing under his breath before hesitantly doing as asked.

"What? I am not," Harry retorted, frowning before snorting at the look on Brian's face. Harry whispered something under his breath and Brian yelped as he heard his bone crack, felt his arm tingle and knit itself back together, felt it heal, all in an instant. "Exhale. Is it working?"

Brian swore again, letting out the breath he had been holding, this time using a word that he had picked up from Letty, his heart aching at the thought, and elbowed Harry. With his previously broken arm that he now could move, stretch, and use. His eyes widened and his heart jolted in his chest. "So you're a wizard."

"Yeah."

"You want to meet our other soulmate?"

"Definitely."

Brian stared at Harry, looking at the fingers that Harry still had on his cast. The cast that he now didn't need.

"You want me to draw something on that?" Harry asked, following his gaze. "Isn't that what you non magical folk do?"

"You guys… don't need casts."

"Nah. Or well… I did at one point," Harry said with a shrug, quickly followed by a grimace, his nose wrinkling in what Brian realized was disgust. "One of my professors vanished all the bones in my left arm. Had to regrow them all over the next night. That was fun."

Brian blinked at him and Harry looked back, mischief in his eyes.

"Dom's in jail," Brian said, half testing, daring Harry to comment.

Harry lifted an eyebrow. "You put him there?"

"Hell no. I let him go five years ago. I wouldn't put him in there again."

Harry stared at him, more incredulous than not, a little disbelief in those green eyes. "Long story, you said. What's he in jail for?"

"Running from the law, smuggling across state lines," Brian commented, scratching his neck before dropping his arm to his side again. "He did time in Lompoc for assault a few years back. And you're sure he's your soulmate too? He might not be."

Harry eyed him before closing his eyes and taking a deep breath. Brian watched him idly, a little warily, and then felt a small tug on that one line of heat.

"That's you," Harry whispered, opening his eyes. "Guess we'll find out, won't we? If this Dom's my soulmate too."

"Guess we will," Brian said. "Think that display of fire will happen with him too? If he is yours?"

"Knowing myself… probably, yeah. Can't exactly control that."

"Huh."

Harry reached out to lay a hand on Brian's, curling his fingers tentatively into Brian's. "It's good to meet you."

"Yeah, it's good to meet you too."

Brian was able to get visitation for him and Harry the day after the judge decided to send Dom back to Lompoc. Harry followed Brian in, shivering slightly at the look of the jail and being grateful that this wasn't Azkaban.

"You alright?" Brian whispered, turning to look at him as they waited for the jail guards to collect Dom. His bright blue eyes had dulled a little bit since they had walked in and Harry curled his fingers around Brian's right shoulder, squeezing a little bit. That warmth that had more or less subsided curled through him, now at a simmer instead of a full blown fire. Harry had spent the night with Brian and Mia, who was Dom's sister.

Meeting Mia had been an experience, with her wondering who Harry was, wondering if Harry was another law enforcement agent who had put her brother in jail. Brian's announcement that Harry was their other soulmate quieted her questions for a whole minute before she pulled him away into the kitchen. Ostensibly to help clean up while Brian went into the garage but in reality…

"You're Dom and Brian's other soulmate."

Harry dipped his head in a nod as he carried the dinner plates into the kitchen. He had made dinner for the three of them, after doing a quick grocery run at the local market, and cooked a lasagna. The groan that Brian had made after taking his first bite had made something curl into Harry's chest, something warm and soft. Joyful and just maybe a tad possessive. Brian O'Conner was his soulmate and he was Brian's.

"I don't cook for just anyone," Harry remarked dryly, pointing at Mia with a dirty spatula. "My friends will tell you that."

Mia looked at him suspiciously, lifting an eyebrow. "You must have been cold for a while then."

"Ever since I got the soulmate connection, yeah," Harry said, humming in consideration. He met Mia's eyes easily. "I'd gotten used to it too. Tucking it away to the back of my mind. Ignoring it. For the most part. It was hard… sometimes. When I was on the run for a year back when I was 17."

Mia blinked at him, her dark brown eyes widening a little bit in surprise. "On the run."

"It was a whole thing," Harry said, shrugging. "And not what I want to go into right now with the tentative sister of my other soulmate."

"But you will with Brian and Dom."

"I will. Brian already knows my biggest secret," Harry offered, his lips curling in amusement. "The way we found out we were soulmates was… kind of explosive. The fact that it took place in the middle of the FBI LA office was… not helpful."

Mia laughed and finally slipped on gloves to help him. "That's basically my brother and Brian in a nutshell."

Harry snorted. "So they like cars."

Mia stared at him and then began to laugh even louder, bending down to put her arms on the counter. Harry heard the back door open and then Brian stuck his head into the kitchen, lifting an eyebrow at the two of them.

"Mia, you alright?"

Mia finally caught her breath and nodded, wiping away tears from her eyes. "Yeah. I'm fine. It's been a while since I've laughed that much."

Brian's eyes softened and then he locked eyes with Harry. "You wanna come see what I'm working on?"

"Sure. Give me a minute?"

Brian nodded and stepped back out. Harry turned back to Mia, who looked him over. "I won't hurt your brother or Brian. You have my word."

"Good. Just so we understand one another," Mia remarked, amusement in her eyes. "Are you a racer too?"

Harry smiled faintly. "Of a different kind. I've never been one to stay on the ground though."

Mia blinked at him and then shooed him out easily.

The moment that Dominic Toretto stepped into the interrogation room in county lockup, Harry's magic again went haywire and he swore, standing up abruptly. He let out a sound that was probably more a growl than anything as he took a breath, held it and then exhaled, even as heat exploded between them. Fire sparked into existence, knocking the two guards at Toretto's side off and onto their asses.

Toretto's eyes widened greatly but stayed standing even as the fire between them sparked into a line, erupting into a line between Harry's left foot and the man's right foot. Harry heard Brian swear next to him and then clapped his hands together, letting his magic loose as the flames flickered between him and Toretto, changing from red and green to black, flashing bright blue for another few seconds, and then back to red.

He heard Brian inhale sharply at the blue flames and he glanced his way to ask.

"That's the color of NOS," Brian murmured, his eyes wide. "It was in the flames that flickered when we met too. I hadn't made the connection."

He quickly reached out to tap the two guards on their foreheads, not physically but magically, sending them into a quick nap. And pulling at their memories, shifting through their thoughts and removing the image and scene of the flames that connected him to Toretto. He added a little more magic to the camera in the room, wiping the last few minutes and curling fog around the tech, hiding the next few minutes. Heat still flooded the room as Harry worked and then the flames hissed before vanishing a minute later.

"O'Conner, who is this?" Toretto finally questioned as silence fell.

Harry waited for another minute to catch his breath, seeing Toretto having to do the same. His eyes were wide, his pupils blown with what might have been… Harry tilted his head at the look in Toretto's eyes, seeing something that looked very much like lust. Toretto was looking at him intently, curiously but he also had eyes for Brian too.

"Dom, meet Harry. Harry… meet Dom," Brian murmured, breathlessly, his eyes wide. "Our other soulmate."

"Obviously," Dom remarked and Harry got the feeling his arms would be crossed if there weren't handcuffs around Dom's wrists. The man was wearing the typical orange jumpsuit of a prisoner but he didn't act like it, his brown eyes thoughtful. His voice was deep and rumbly and made heat, or more heat, gather at the base of his spine. "Came to meet the criminal soulmate of an FBI agent?"

Harry shook his head, peering at Dom warily. The man was built full of muscles, broad shoulders and a smooth, bald head, menacing and yet… If Brian vouched for him and he quite clearly did, then Harry would give the man the benefit of the doubt. He had heard from Brian Dom's story, or at least what Brian would tell him. Dom's father dying violently on the track and then Dom assaulting the man who was behind the wheel of the car that drove Jack Toretto off the track. Dom going away for assault and coming back… more quiet, less trusting.

Brian going undercover five years later as Brian Earl Spilner, to work in Dom's garage. Investigating who had pulled a few truck heists.

"No. I came to meet my other soulmate," Harry finally said, lifting his shoulders slightly. "I'm Brian's and I'm yours too. Smuggling across state lines doesn't really matter to me. In fact it's small potatoes compared to what I've done."

"Harry…" Brian trailed off.

"What? It's true," Harry argued before sighing. "I'll explain later."

Dom blinked at the both of them. "Was your connection to Harry as abrupt as mine?"

"Yep and we met at the office," Brian muttered, running a hand through his hair. "My boss nearly had a fit when he pulled me in afterward. There have been cases where the connection reacts in this way but not… not in real fire. Just sparks of it."

Dom twitched before he snorted, his eyes glancing down to the floor of the interrogation room. "What exactly caused it? Do you know?"

Brian jerked a thumb at Harry, who grinned faintly.

"I'm a wizard," Harry offered, taking a step towards Dom. Brian echoed his movements and walked around the table, the three of them the three points of a triangle.

Dom looked at him in suspicion, his brown eyes flickering back and forth between the two of them. "Is that why they're both asleep?"

Harry glanced down at the two guards and nodded. "Yeah."

"Those flames were… beautiful," Dom finally said, his voice gone soft a little. His fingers curled and Brian stepped forward to entwine their fingers, something passing between them.

"Dom, I trust him," Brian whispered, his shoulders curling warily. Harry could see Brian's shoulder blades ripple underneath the shirt he was wearing, underneath the suit of an FBI agent.

"Good. You'll have someone to keep you company while I'm in there," Dom spoke, circling his thumb over Brian's wrist.

Brian stayed silent at that and Harry kept quiet too, wondering if Brian was going to go through the motions of filing an appeal. He knew Brian was repairing the Charger, Dom's car, but didn't exactly know what the man's plan was. Knew that Brian wasn't going to let Dom go back to Lompoc. Even if he had only known the man for two days or so.

"My magic enhances the soulmate connection and senses," Harry finally offered, keeping his voice purposefully quiet. "It's keeping those men asleep and it's keeping that camera from recording this."

"He healed my broken arm," Brian said, finally taking a step back from Dom and looking between the two other men.

"Thank you." Dom looked at him, giving him a slow once over look. Harry nodded back, feeling a frisson of heat echo down his back, his magic still trying to curl around Dom too, like how it tried to nestle into Brian the other day. That other line of heat that he felt was running hot, the newly found sensations of finding both his soulmates in the same week making him feel… content. The fact that one was about to go to prison for several years didn't matter, judging on what Brian was planning.

"Dom, you didn't have to do this," Brian finally muttered. "You could have run."

"Running ain't freedom," Dom remarked, reaching up to curl his fingers over Brian's shoulders. "Look after him?"

Harry nodded, tilting his head in thought. "He take that much looking after?"

Dom's lips twitched up in amusement. "Yeah, he really kind of does."

Brian scowled at the both of them. "Fuck off the both of you."

Harry snorted and reached out to curl his fingers over Dom's arm, swallowing at all that muscle, his heart doing flips in his chest. Dom grinned at the expression on Harry's face and then made shooing motions.

"Go home, Brian, Harry. Go take care of Mia for me," Dom finally said, taking a step back from the two of them, inhaling and then exhaling. Pain flickered in those brown eyes before vanishing quickly. Harry sucked in a sharp breath and reached out for Brian, entwining their fingers and squeezing.

Brian nodded, swallowing against words that wanted to come out.

"You know… Mia threatened me," Harry offered, attempting a smile. "Told me to not hurt either of you."

Dom huffed out an amused breath. "Of course she did."

"They're Torettos," Brian said, smiling faintly, squeezing Harry's fingers back. "She'd figure out some way to follow up."

"I'm sure. Dom..." Harry paused, breathing out on a cautious sigh.

"Yeah?" Dom looked at him, a hard glint flickering in his eyes as he prepared to go back to his cell.

"Be careful," Harry finally said, waving his hands over the two sleeping guards and watched as they both woke up, apparently none the worse for wear. The two jail guards didn't think otherwise of their brief nap, both putting their hands on Dom's shoulders. Harry almost let out a near growl, an echo of what he sounded like in his other form, and held himself back. "I want to get to know you. If that means I have to wait then so be it."

Dom stared at him, curious intent in his eyes and then he nodded. "I want to get to know you too."

"You tell me which part to repair and I'll do it," Harry offered, sitting down across from where Brian was working on the Charger. A week later and they were just laying down the finishing touches to the plan. "Dom's not going back to Lompoc."

Brian grinned and gestured to one of the parts of the car that he had strewn out in the garage. Night flooded the garage, the darkness threatening to swallow them up. The moon was bright outside and the stars even more so. Crickets chirped all around them, occasionally drowned out by cars on the nearby well used streets. Sirens echoed throughout the city, attending to whatever emergency was going on in Los Angeles.

"You really gonna go with us?" Brian asked, tinkering with the engine.

Harry hadn't checked in with his contact in Los Angeles, hadn't even talked with Hermione since he had run into Brian. He was 29 and had just found both of his soulmates. The world could go fuck itself for all he cared. Though he figured… He'd talk to Hermione at some point, maybe after breaking Dom off of that prison bus. When the three of them were south of the border. When Dom was free.

"Yeah. I want to get to know you both. I want…" Harry trailed off as he walked over to kneel next to Brian. He tapped the requested part with a finger and pushed some magic into it, muttering the spell automatically. The part-Harry wasn't sure what it was called- glowed briefly before shifting and changing, melding back together. "I want both of you."

Brian groaned at Harry's words and the frantic kiss that Brian pressed to his mouth was not surprising at all. Harry jolted with heat and curled fingers around the back of Brian's neck, pulling him in, inhaling to try to get more of Brian's scent. Sweat, metal and the scent of oil curled around Brian like a cloud and Brian shivered as Harry trailed a line of kisses from his mouth to his bare shoulder.

Brian was shirtless in the heat of the LA summer and Harry took full advantage of that, pushing him back up against the Charger. Brian laughed easily and then broke off into a gasp, bucking into the thigh that Harry abruptly slipped between his legs. The sudden friction sent jitters of heat through both of them, the reverb of a newly found soul connection jumping between them.

Harry met those bright blue eyes to look at Brian with a question on his lips.

Brian continued to laugh, loud and amused.

"What?" Harry asked, reaching down to cup him through his jeans, making Brian moan.

"Dom fucked me on top of one of his other cars too," Brian gasped out, his pupils blowing, edging out the color.

Harry inhaled sharply, picturing it and swore, rolling his hips against Brian's. "Well… I don't have a car… but I do have a dragon."

Brian blinked even as Harry stroked him, fast and hard, pushing down his jeans and jacked him off. Harry grinned at the sight in front of him, curling his fingers around Brian's hard cock, slippery with pre-come. Brian stared at him, his mouth open, kiss bruised lips, on top of Dom's Charger, and came with another loud moan, as Harry sucked a hard bruise into the crook of his neck. The heated embers of their newly found soulbond fed into the pleasure, echoed between Brian and Harry, taking Harry over the edge too.

Harry leaned over Brian as he caught his breath, his heart galloping like it was running on an 750 horsepower engine. Brian's breath was much the same, as he slumped into the car underneath him, his fingers digging into Harry's back. They could both feel the line of heat that led to Dom, strong and sturdy.

"The fuck? You said you had a dragon," Brian finally muttered, his breathing shaky, his voice hoarse.

Harry smirked, laying a hand on Brian's chest, and pressed a kiss to the man's mouth. Brian was all muscle and warm skin, reckless heat simmering."Yeah. Could use her as a distraction."

Brian stared at him, his eyes searching Harry's face for any sign that he was lying.

"Mia already said she was coming," Brian said, leaning up and nosing into the crook of Harry's neck, inhaling deeply. Harry shivered, feeling goosebumps roll up his skin as he felt Brian use his tongue, licking up his neck. "She drives well and doesn't want to get left behind again."

"If you don't stop doing what you're doing, Brian," Harry paused, dropping his voice, curling his hand around Brian's neck and squeezing lightly.

"Yeah? You'll what?"

"I'll do something," Harry muttered, groaning as Brian arched into him, pressing their bodies up against each other again. "Tie you up maybe."

Brian groaned loud and long and… his eyes darkening, his pupils blowing. "Bet you wouldn't. The Boy Who Lived."

Harry rolled his eyes and flicked Brian's forehead. "Don't think I won't, O'Conner. Hey, maybe when all this is over and we're south of the border, I could watch Dom fuck you."

Brian swore, a low guttural groan leaving his throat. "Fuck."

"Let me go get my ride, Brian. I'll meet you at the rendezvous spot with Leo and Santos and Mia."

Brian drove over the lone highway, seeing Mia in her speedy Honda behind him. The police scanner sitting in the center compartment, standing upright in the drink holder, was quiet for now, the occasional normal chatter from the bus driver filling the car. Leo and Santos drove behind Mia and he could hear them bickering through their other radio, not even talking about what they were about to do.

The prison bus ahead of them drove along steadily, slow and rough, compared to the Charger and Mia's compact car. The sun glared down at them all, as if it knew what they were planning. The air was warm and humid and they had left Los Angeles behind a few hours ago and the last car that they had passed was long gone.

The line of heat that led to Dom was a quiet, thrumming presence, not enough to make him sweat but enough so that he always knew it was there. And Harry's was more of a simmer, more vivid, like his connection to Dom had first been.

The quiet roar that echoed through the valley was at first guess… a car, maybe another muscle car, Brian thought. And he glanced through the front mirror, hoping that the car would pass them by soon enough and leave them to their business. Only for his heart to stutter and then kickstart at the sight. At the real live dragon that was slowly gaining on them. It was a big ass creature, coming out of every single mythology picture book he had read as a kid.

The big, black creature was the size of a small barn and as it gained on them, swooping through the clouds, he could see its orange eyes. The dragon's eyes were the shade of the sun, bright and intelligent, and Brian sucked in a gasp, seeing Harry on top of the dragon's back.

He picked up the other radio and thumbed it on. "I thought you said you were going to get your ride!"

Harry laughed through the radio. "I did! You didn't believe me, did you?"

Brian laughed and gunned the Charger's engine, hearing the dragon roar again. He signaled to Mia and Santos and put their plan into motion. Mia urged her car ahead and Harry followed from above, both of them putting several feet between them and the bus, with the bus behind them.

"Yo, O'Conner! What's the deal with the… dragon?!" Santos yelled, his voice shrill.

"Ignore it! It's fine! Focus!"

"Focus?!" Leo retorted. "How can we focus? That's a big ass reptile up there! It's gonna eat us alive!"

"No, it's not," Harry argued, the amusement quite clear in his voice. "Just focus on the plan, guys. We're here to get Dom out."

"Before the bus makes it to Lompoc," Brian added, watching as Mia wheeled her car around and gunned it towards the bus. The dragon's wings suddenly froze and he watched as it spiraled downward in a free fall, a big, wide smile on Harry's face, goggles on his eyes, providing protection from the sun and the wind. The next few minutes went as if they were all in slow motion, Brian's heart galloping like he had injected NOS right into his body. Thrumming with adrenaline. The black dragon veered around suddenly, turning to face the bus head on, hovering in the air.

In the last minute, Mia swerved around and Brian hit the brakes hard, causing the Charger to squeal, not out of disuse and rust, but out of the sudden change in acceleration. The giant shadow that lay over the Charger was big and ominous, shielding Brian from the sun, and then the bus collided, flipping. Long clawed limbs reached down and picked up the Charger, making Brian gasp, his eyes widening.

Energy shivered around them as he saw four claws hitching into the car, not digging into the roof, but fully surrounding the car. And moving the Charger and Brian out of harm's way. The metal around him groaned as the dragon, as Harry's dragon, moved them just a few feet away, letting Brian watch as the prison bus flipped again as if in slow motion before falling onto its side.

Dom stepped out of the wreckage of the prison bus, opened his mouth and closed it. "What the fuck."

Brian sat in the driver's seat of the Charger just a few feet ahead, the passenger door open. Mia idled in her Honda, behind the Charger, and Leo and Santos were half standing out of their car, gaping at the big dragon that hovered above them. Harry sat on the dragon's back, a lopsided smile on his face.

"Get in, Dom!" Brian yelled, gesturing to the passenger seat.

The other prisoners in the bus were groaning but all unharmed. Though they weren't all as… likeable. Dom's heart skipped a beat at the sight of his two soulmates, one in his Charger and one on dragonback, and hurried over to slide into the car.

Brian immediately gunned the engine once the car door was shut and Dom heard Mia follow behind, as well as Leo and Santos. The dragon above them roared again and its great big wings beat, loud and free, as it followed them from above. Dom's heart was still speeding like he had just won a race, like he had just met Brian for the first time, like that day he had met Harry, those flames erupting between them. Flickering between colors, between colors that were so familiar to him.

The black of the Charger. The bright blue of NOS. The half red, half orange of Brian's Supra and the bright green of… Harry's eyes.

"What the fuck, O'Conner?" Dom finally questioned, hearing the shrill alarm of the prison bus driver calling for help over the police scanner. Frantic and disbelieving, scared of the actual dragon that had appeared out of nowhere. "I thought I told you to not do anything reckless."

Despite his words, he was smiling, sinking into the leather seat of the Charger, feeling it hum and rumble underneath him.

"This wasn't reckless," Brian said, something light and… free in his eyes, his shoulders slumping and uncurling. Like a weight had been lifted. "You're…"

"If you're yelling at him, then you gotta yell at me too," Mia said through the other radio.

"And me too," Harry spoke, bright content thrumming in his voice.

"And us too," Leo replied, chiming in from behind them. "Though the dragon's something. What the fuck, Potter?"

"I'll… uh… explain later," Harry said, quiet laughter coming in through the radio. "Dom, you alright?"

"Yeah, I'm fine," Dom answered, seeing Brian reach out and lay a hand on his thigh. He curled his fingers around Brian's, already knowing that he was fine driving with one hand on the wheel. "I'm fine."

"I packed a change of clothes for you, Dom," Mia said, as they drove, speeding off south, past the border.

"Mia…" Dom trailed off.

"No buts," Mia retorted.

He could hear her glare through the radio. Brian snorted and Dom's lips twitched into an amused grin.

"I'm coming with you," Mia stated. "You're family. I'm not losing you again."

"And you're ours," Harry remarked, a thin thread of steel echoing in his voice.

Dom felt goosebumps roll up his skin at the words and squeezed Brian's fingers, meeting those brilliant blue eyes. Brian looked… gorgeous in the driver's seat, full of wild energy, but… "You're gonna get out at the next pit stop."

Brian laughed and rolled his eyes, shivering slightly. "Yeah. Yeah, I'll let you drive."

Night had fallen by the time they rolled to a stop south of the border. The dragon had long since become hard to see, all that black hide blending into the night around them. As Dom slowly brought the Charger to park in the motel parking lot, he saw Harry and the dragon come in for landing. He had seen the way the dragon had gone into a free fall, its wings tightening up and stilling for seconds, letting gravity take its course.

Dom had sucked in a sharp breath at the sight, knowing… guessing that it had taken a lot of control for the creature to do that, even if he was still trying to figure out what the fuck was going on. Brian slipped out of the passenger side of the car and came around to watch too, his eyes wide with awe as they watched their soulmate land a dragon. The black dragon finally touched down after a minute, its orange sun eyes glinting in the moonlight, as it took in the sight of the Charger and the two men.

Mia had already gone into the motel office to get them rooms, saying something about getting only two. Leo and Santos had traveled on ahead, laying a false trail for the cops to follow. Brian had said something about Harry spelling their car to look like the Charger, like an illusion or something.

Harry slid off the dragon's side, landing on the ground with a light thump and walked up to them, stopping two or three feet away. He had a cautious look on his face as he glanced between the two of them, as if… Dom rolled his eyes and closed the distance between them, only taking a step towards his destination and curled a hand around Harry's neck, yanking him into a hot kiss, seeing the dragon in his mind.

Harry groaned and reached out, fitting his fingers into Dom's right hip, brushing against bare skin, deepening the kiss. Harry tasted of leather hide, of smoke and fire, probably courtesy of riding a dragon, and lillies as he opened his mouth. Heat echoed through Dom as Harry practically occupied his space, like he planned on staying. Like he was letting Dom stake a claim here but he was staking one of his own. Dom groaned and shivered at the thought, his cock stirring in the jeans that Mia had thrown into a duffel.

Harry's hand traveled up his side, leaving little jittery sparks of heat, unrelated to their soulbond and entirely their own.

The wolf whistle drew their attention back to Brian, who shrugged unrepentantly.

Dom watched as Harry tried to catch his breath, his cheeks reddened, and saw that amused glint. "You thinking what I'm thinkin'?"

"I offered to tie him up," Harry remarked, turning to look at Brian, mischief and heat in those green eyes. "You have opinions on that?"

"Sounds good."

Brian let out a choked sound. "Hey. I'm right here. Former FBI agent."

"That you are," Dom whispered, tugging Brian into a kiss, feeling like he was coming home, his heart beating steadily, easily for the first time in a few days. Brian groaned and curled into him, giving into him. Dom curled an arm around Brian's waist and held onto him, slipping his other hand into Harry's.

"Not anymore," Harry murmured, poking Brian's shoulder.

"No, not anymore," Brian agreed quietly, smiling in the light of the moon. "For good this time. Ride or die."

Dom's heart skipped a beat at the words.

The roar of the dragon echoed through the air and Dom finally looked at Harry, lifting an eyebrow.

Harry snorted in amusement. "Suppose I should introduce you, hmm?"

"Hell yes," Brian said, grinning.

Dom huffed and cuffed Brian's shoulder. Harry smiled faintly and rolled his eyes.
