Hey y'all! Welcome to my first FNAF fanfic in some time, Mother of My Cubs! Thankfully I can't give away the surprise of this story because one of the main characters sadly isn't in the list of characters yet on the site. I got the idea for this story randomly one day and I thought it was a good way to explain something I've always wondered (though obviously it's not canon XD). This story is going to be a bit sad, but hopefully you guys don't mind.

Also, most of the italics are flashbacks unless otherwise stated.

Warnings: This story will contain some swearing, mentioned mpreg, mentioned abandonment, deactivation, heartbreak, and loss of a parent

Five Nights at Freddy's and all of it's characters rightfully belong to Scott Cawthon.

"Yar, get back here ye scurvy bilge rats!" yelled a heavily accented voice, the voice booming through the house. Seconds later a large red fox with many parts of his endoskeleton exposed rounded a corner, chasing three plush-sized brown bears. "Stop ye runnin' ye lily-livered scoundrels! I'll have ye sent ta Davy Jones' locker!" he yelled as the small bears screed in fright. The three cubs rounded another corner with the fox following, only for said fox to skid to a stop as his eyes widened at the figure before him.

"F-F-Freddy! W-What are ye doin' here?" he asked, shrinking back at the glare the other animatronic was giving him and chuckling nervously. "Foxy..…. I live here..…. why are you chasing the Freddles?" the bear asked, his arms crossed as he looked down at the pirate fox in front of him. Now, all of the Nightmares were terrifying, though Nightmare Freddy was normally considered the least frightening due to having less tears and rips, as well as having the Freddles with him. However the others found he could be the most intimidating of them, as despite his cleaner appearance his 6'9" height allowed him to easily tower over the others, especially Nightmare Foxy's usually impressive 6'4" height. The only Nightmares that beat Nightmare Freddy in height were Nightmare, Nightmare Fredbear, and Nightmarionne.

"W-Well, y-y-ye see Freddy..….. c-c-crew?" asked Nightmare Foxy, glancing around at the others. While they were a generally tight-knit group, the others typically knew better than to confront Nightmare Freddy when he was in "Papa Bear Mode". Only Nightmare Mangle decided to speak up. "F-F-Freddy dear, your cubs a-a-a-are cute, but I f-f-f-fear t-they're a bit rambunctious..…" she said, her second head nodding. Nightmare Freddy turned his hard gaze to her, then kneeled down and picked up the Freddles as he turned his attention back to Nightmare Foxy.

"Stay away from my sons…" he said in a low growl, turning and carrying the smaller bears out of the room. "Damn Foxy, you really messed up this time….." said Nightmare Balloon Boy, laughing slightly. "Fucking shut it, ye walking cannon ball!" said Nightmare Foxy, glaring at the smaller animatronic. "I don't see why the hell he cares so much about those scurvy nuisances!" the fox said, growling. "Well, they are his sons…." said Nightmare Chica, feeding her cupcake. "I know that! But they came out of nowhere like a storm on the high seas! They just… just appeared out of thin air!" Foxy said, crossing his arms.

Nightmare Bonnie rolled his eyes and pushed off the wall he had been leaning against, leaving the room. He had to admit that Nightmare Foxy had a point with what he said. The Freddles really HAD come out of nowhere. They hadn't existed before, then one day they simply appeared, clinging to Nightmare Freddy like leeches. It didn't help that the bear always avoided the subject, refusing to answer whenever asked about it. It made the rabbit suspicious and, being one of the more observant ones of the group, he began to suspect that the bear was hiding something.

He had barely rounded the corner of the hall when he spotted Nightmare Freddy sneaking out of a window with the Freddles. Nightmare Bonnie raised an eyelid in a questioning manner, then decided to follow after a few minutes of waiting. He had to know what the bears were up to, and he had a feeling it might answer some questions. He followed the bears from a fair distance, making sure he was as quiet as possible and keeping out of sight.

He became confused as he followed them to a large expansive building. It looked like some sort of mall, though from the peeling paint and withered outside it looked like it had been abandoned for some time. He saw Nightmare Freddy and the Freddles sneak in through a side door, quickly following them inside to find the place in more disrepair. He quickly caught sight of a large logo on one of the walls that said Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex! Nightmare Bonnie was surprised, though it got him thinking. This place… we came here after Fazbear's Fight burned down… he thought, frowning.

Meanwhile, Nightmare Freddy was making his way through the mall, heading up some stairs to another floor. He allowed the Freddles to run slightly ahead, exploring. Soon they came to a museum-like area full of glass cases containing old props from previous pizzerias. Along the wall were four glass windows looking into four different rooms, each painted a different color. He soon came to a stop outside the window that looked into a red room, this room was cleaner than the others although the posters were ripped off the walls and the mirror shattered.

Nightmare Freddy gained a sad look on his face as he went to the hall alongside the room, going to the door and pushing it open seeing as the keypad beside it no long worked. He sighed, his ears lowering as he spots the familiar foot sticking out from behind the broken arcade machine and the couch. He walked over and gently pushed them aside, kneeling down and gently touching the cheek of the figure the foot belonged to as the Freddles gathered around, the smaller bears cooing.

"I'm sorry….. I shouldn't have left..…" Nightmare Freddy said, watching as the Freddles opened the chest of the figure and two of them climbed inside, chattering and screeing. He gave a sad smile and closed his eyes, remembering all the way back to when he had met the figure...

"This place be too bright!" said Nightmare Foxy, huffing as he and the other Nightmares took up residence in the darker backstage areas of the large pizzaplex. "that may be, but it is out best place for a home for now..….." Nightmare said before turning to Nightmare Freddy, Nightmarionne and Nightmare Mangle. "You three, scout around and see what this place is all about… it could be useful in finding some new people to feed off of..…" the black bear said, the others nodding and heading out.

Nightmare Freddy couldn't climb ceilings like Nightmare Mangle or teleport like Nightmarionne, so he used his stealth abilities to sneak through the shadows of the bustling mall. He could see many families running around and enjoying the many activities the pizzaplex had to offer. There were many people whose fears they could feed off of, so it was hard to choose. He quickly made his way to the large main hub of the mall, where many more people were gathered in the dining room-like area around a stage where four animatronics were performing.

He froze, his eyes locking on the main animatronic on stage. It was a bear like him, made similarly to the toy animatronics from long ago. He was built to look muscular and was a light orange, with his chest, lower jaw, snout, feet, and inner ears being a beige color. Red outlined the blue 'make-up' around his tanzanite bluish-purple eyes, the blue stipe in the center of his lower jaw moving into a lightning bolt on his chest. He wore a black tophat with a blue stipe and a black bowtie, while red shoulder pads were placed on his shoulder joints and his lower legs were painted red as well, matching the red earring in his left ear. Nightmare Freddy was stunned, staring as he watched the other bear perform on the stage, completely enraptured by who he considered the most beautiful animatronic he had ever seen.

After performing their set the other bear bowed to the crowd and then left the stage with his bandmates. Nightmare Freddy waited, then followed the bear as the animatronics headed through a door leading to a back maintenance area, where the animatronics could get to their rooms without being mobbed by kids. Nightmare Freddy silently followed, and as soon as the bear was alone he dropped down in front of him.

"What the-!?" the other bear started to say, his mouth being covered by the nightmarish bear. "Don't panic! It's alright, I'm not here to hurt you…." said Nightmare Freddy, slowly removing his hand as the other bear stared at him in shock. "My name is Nightmare Freddy… myself and my fellow Nightmares have been looking for a new home since our old one burned down… I couldn't help but notice you performing while I was scouting out this building….. Please, may I have you name?" he asked, stepping back a bit.

The other bear blinked. "I-I'm Glamrock Freddy….." he said cautiously, still staring at the other bear. "Glamrock Freddy….. a name that perfectly suits such a beautiful animatronic..…" Nightmare Freddy said, watching as the orange bear lets out a slight laugh. "Aren't we just the charmer….." said Glamrock Freddy, smiling. "Perhaps we can get to know each other…. And maybe I can talk to management about letting you and your friends stay..…." he said, tilting his head in a manner Nightmare Freddy found cute.

Nightmare Freddy opened his eyes and sighed, his ears lowering again. After their first meeting Glamrock Freddy had managed to convince the management to let the Nightmares stay, so long as they kept to the back areas and out of sight of customers. The two bears also started hanging out after hours, and soon the friendship they were building grew into more. Nightmare Freddy was brought back into reality when he heard light snoring, a sad smile crossing his face as he looked down to find the Freddles fast asleep, all curled up in the chest cavity of the figure before them. Nightmare Freddy closed his eyes again, remembering the day the Freddles came into his life…

"Are you sure about this Glamrock Freddy? You've been hiding it for about a month now…." asked the nightguard, Vanessa. She was also the main technician for the mall, and had been the one to help Glamrock Freddy with his surprise for his boyfriend. "I'm sure Vanessa…. It's time I told him what we've been working on… I'm just so nervous about telling him….." the bear said, unconsciously placing a hand over his chest. Vanessa smiled and placed a hand gently on his arm. "I'm sure he'll love them Glam...…. I know he will…." she said, giving him an encouraging smile.

Glamrock Freddy smiled and nodded, following her out of the maintenance room to find Nightmare Freddy. They quickly found him talking to Monty and Nightmare Bonnie. "Excuse me, Nightmare Freddy, can I speak to you privately please?" Glamrock Freddy said. Nightmare Freddy nodded and bid Monty and Nightmare Bonnie farewell for the moment. He then followed Glamrock Freddy and Vanessa to a nearby room. He looked between the two, raising an eyebrow at them.

"What did you wish to speak about?" he asked, crossing his arms. Glamrock Freddy looked at Vanessa, who gave him an encouraging smile, then turned back to his boyfriend and sheepishly smiled as he opened his chest. Nightmare Freddy watched as he did, then had to do a double take as his jaw dropped. Sitting curled up in the normally empty chest cavity of his boyfriend of not one, but three tiny endoskeletons, their eyes closed and wires attaching them to the orange bear's endoskeleton. Nightmare Freddy's gaze slowly went from the three tiny endoskeletons to Glamrock Freddy and back to the tiny endoskeletons.

"A-Are those…?" Glamrock Freddy nodded, closing his chestplates carefully as he answered his boyfriend. "Vanessa helped make them… they don't have suits yet, but we can worry about that when they're ready…. We're going to be parents Nightmare Freddy…" said the orange bear, smiling. Nightmare Freddy just stood there for a minute, then quickly scooped the other bear into his arms and kissed him. He couldn't believe it. He was going to be a father! He knew Glamrock Freddy was nervous about the idea, and he knew what the other Nightmares thought about children, so he decided to keep the babies secret for the time being.

Nightmare Freddy came back to the present, using his thumb to gently stroke the cheek of the figure in front of him. His ears lowered more, the sad look in his eyes returning. "they never got to know you… It shouldn't have been like this… They should've gotten to properly meet you…. They still love you, even if they only ever knew your voice…." Nightmare Freddy said, looking down at the Freddles as they continued lightly snoring. He could still remember that fateful night, the night that everything fell apart….

"Glam, we have to keep moving!" said Nightmare Freddy, running through the back area with his boyfriend. Vanessa, who had been their friend, had suddenly turned on them after she had beta-tested an upcoming VR game and become infected by the spirit of none other than William Afton himself. She had gone on to don her own rabbit suit, kidnap some kids, and even infect the other Glamrock animatronics. Glamrock Freddy was panting, so Nightmare Freddy pulled him into a corner to catch his breath.

"N-Nightmare Freddy, I-I can't keep running….. G-Gregory needs help….." the orange bear said, looking up so his tanzanite eyes were looking into Nightmare Freddy's glowing orange ones. Nightmare Freddy had almost completely forgotten about Gregory, the one kid who had managed to get away from Vanessa and was currently trying to escape the pizzaplex. The kid needed help, and the only ones who could possibly help him was him and Glamrock Freddy, the latter of who still carrying the triplets.

"Glam-" nightmare Freddy was silenced as Glamrock Freddy gently placed a finger over his mouth. The orange bear gave a tired smile, then opened his chest cavity. He gently reached in and carefully passed each of the triplets to Nightmare Freddy, wincing as he carefully cut the wires attaching them to him. The minute the wires were cut the triplets opened their eyes and began screeing, squirming in their father's arms as Glamrock Freddy closed his chestplates. He gave a tired smile to them and gently kissed their heads, their screeing calming slightly as he gently took Nightmare Freddy's face in his hands.

"I HAVE to go help Gregory….. he needs me….. Get the cubs out of here and take them somewhere safe…. I'll catch up once things here have calmed down…." he said, gently putting his nose against Nightmare Freddy's, both noses squeaking. Nightmare Freddy's ears lowered, but he knew the slightly smaller bear was right. "Save Gregory….. Save those kids and our friends… I will come back for you… I promise…." Nightmare Freddy said, quickly kissing Glamrock Freddy. Glamrock Freddy kissed back, then with one last hug for his boyfriend and children he hesitantly ran back the way they had come.

Nightmare Freddy watched him for a minute, then took off in the opposite direction. He ignored the feeling in the pit of his stomach, telling himself that he would come back for Glamrock Freddy and they could be a family again. He looked down at the Freddles, who were once again asleep in his arms. "We'll get him back… He'll be fine….. and we'll be together again…." he told them, ducking into the shadows and escaping the pizzaplex to meet up with his fellow Nightmares.

"I shouldn't have let you go… Glam… I'm s-so sorry….." Nightmare Freddy said, looking back up at the bear before him. Nightmare Freddy had heard that Vanessa had been arrested and Gregory saved, but the damage had been done and Glamrock Freddy had no doubt crawled to his old backstage room to wait for nightmare Freddy's return. But even if Nightmare Freddy had rushed back as fast as possible, it most like wouldn't have changed anything. Glamrock Freddy's lower jaw had been ripped off, along with his right arm and lower left leg. Wires had been pulled from the places where his limbs had been ripped off, as well as from his busted side and back. His eyes, once bright and full of life, were dull and half-lidded.

Nightmare Freddy slowly reached up and hesitantly, but gently moved his hand down over Glamrock Freddy's eyes, closing them fully. As he did this, he felt a hand on his shoulder, not even looking up to see who it was. "I'm sorry….." said Nightmare Bonnie, looking from his friend to the deactivated bot in front of them. "I should've saved him… for them….." said Nightmare Freddy, looking down at the Freddles. "There's nothing that could've been done…. His programming told him to protect… that's something that's hard to ignore….." said the blue rabbit, kneeling beside his fellow Nightmare. "I'll stay with you while you grieve…" Nightmare Bonnie said, looking at his friend. Nightmare Freddy let out a sigh, then looked at his companion and managed a sad smile.

"Thank you Bonnie….. It means a lot…" he said quietly, turning back to his deceased boyfriend and sleeping cubs. Nightmare Bonnie nodded and turned back to the body as well. They sat there all night, silently grieving the loss of the Freddles' mother and their dear friend.
