So a someone told me something and now I had to change a couple of stuff.

1 Night

Chapter 1

I felt myself coming back into reality that I tried to open them even though I was in tremendous pain, I kept pushing them open hoping they weren't blind after the event that just happened.

I placed both my hands on the hard surface and began to push up onto my knees. I saw the landscape that I landed in, it looked like I were seeing cliffs that were breaking from years of erosion that the edges had no support below that if you were to put your weight on the edge then the part would brake making you fall to your death, I came to terms that you were at a Grand Canyon (You were on one of the cliffs, so you don't get confused), I look over the drop to the deep center to find a narrow pathway which lead deeper into the heart of the rocky view, the sight that occurred was insanely beautiful but there was no way to get down for me.

The sun in the background was fairly high from the highest point in the background, I guessed it was around 5PM if time here works like at back home, I stood up despite the pain and start to look at yourself to see my own condition It looks like I haven't broken anything, I also don't seem to be bleeding apart from my right arm after checking for wounds and such I began to think about what happened not so long ago So I was in the middle of playing Super Mario 3D world and then… oh yeah it started glitching and it looked like a portal appeared and it sucked me through, then I blacked out and it seemed to have warped me here.

I turned around trying to find the missing portal …No portal. I pondered on the thought of how it all happened Did I break the game or TV… Nah that's stupid, this is all a dream I pinch my left wrist to try and return to my own world "…ssss OW OW OW" I let go still in the great canyon.

This is weird, I never usually dream of something like this After realizing that you were not coming out of wherever here is, I start to realize that I'm all alone and with no one to help This is bad, how can I look after myself with no food & water I looked up to the sky above, I took a long heavy breath Stay strong Bryan it doesn't look like it will get dark anytime soon, maybe there's a village not too far from here the sun starts to slowly dip down I better start walking And with that I started heading in a random direction praying in your head that you were heading somewhere instead of nowhere.

I have been moving for 2 hours now and with no sign, no switch, not even a speck in the distance had changed from before, the only thing that has changed was the colour of the sky which turned from blue to orange. The temperature was hot (Let's say around 25°C) which would come to no surprise because of the location.

How long does this keep going on for, I can't keep walking forever. My legs start to hurt from all the working they have been doing, I begin to start sweating and your whole face is beginning to turn a shade of red.

I took off your T-shirt and put it over my own head to protect yourself from the heat that is slowly but surely getting into me. That's when I noticed something, a few metres away I saw the surface begin to change, it looked like there was a crack that stretched both left and right, the other side of the crack looked like there were tiny patches of grass that were forming from the other side, I started to smile YES, oh thank god, I thought I was going to be stuck in this wasteland till I die

By this point the sun was 90° west from me and was halfway through the landscape, I didn't bother checking up on it, all I was thinking now was you may be able to find wildlife, a tree, anything that I can stop for the night to rest up and recover. I lean to the edge of the surface that I was standing on, the crack was a good 30CM apart so I had to bend down both of my legs and with all I could muster jumped over and onto the other side.

I put my hands on my kneecaps and breath in as much air I could possibly take, you're doing fine I told yourself that repeatedly, but you still got to find shelter and with that I headed forward thinking that I was heading towards the grasslands.

30 Minutes later and it was beginning to turn dark now, the orange sky was gone and replaced by dark blue to almost black sky with millions of stars in different sizes above, the air was starting to turn a hint bit cooler, so I put my black jumper back on with my hoodie placing over your head to protect myself from the wind.

When I finished wrapping yourself up to the best I could I managed to see 2 brown like creatures around 10 yards away, they were very hard to see and looked like they blended in with the rocks behind, but they moved out of sync.

They look familiar but what are they again? Geez I'm so tired I can't think straight You get up closer to the two, my eyes start to adjust with every step until you were 4 steps from them.

I couldn't believe what i'm seeing.

In front of me were 2 Goombas that looked exactly like the Super Mario 3D World model, they stop what they were doing and looked at myself with their black pupils …O…M…G… I just stood there looking at the one and then the other and back and forth. The two Goombas looked at each other before walking away from the scene, seeming to not be interested.

Now most people would have jumped for joy or even squeal out of the possibilities I was in, but I was getting really tired, and I just couldn't keep going considering what I have been through today. I saw a pebble next to me which gave me an idea. I picked it up walked to the spot both Goombas were just standing and placed it down There, now I know exactly where they were heading.

I sit down, rubbed my eyes and started to let out a big & loud yawn, before I lied down you heard footsteps from behind. I moved your butt around to be greeted by a light that blinded me for a sec, the light turned out to be a lantern that was being hold by a Koopa Troopa.

From what I could tell this specific one was green and was carrying what seemed like a carrier bag designed for his species, I could see a sleeping bag at the top of the bag poking out of its flaps and water bottles in the side pockets.

(The following conversation will be put in between the two POVS)

Koopa Troopa: "Forgive me for interrupting you but I fail to notice any sort of equipment that you are carrying".

I stared into him which was a very hard task to do when my own eyes are fighting with my own brain for sleep, this Koopa seemed friendly if he was willing to approach me, either that or he is incredibly confident I look down to the ground before asking his question.

Bryan: "You wouldn't believe me if I told you what happened"

Koopa Troopa: "Try me"

I took a deep breath and looked him in the eyes

Bryan: "I was teleported beside a canyon over there" I pointed to where you were travelling a moment ago "I have no idea how I ended up here, but I've been walking through this place for a while with no food, water or anything to help me out, if it wasn't for this jumper I was wearing I may could have not survived".

After I finished that sentence the Green Shelled Creature took out a water bottle from the left side and gave it to me.

Koopa Troopa: "Here, if you have been in the canyon for some time then you'll need something to drink"

I took the bottle from him with a "Thanks" and jugged the whole fluid down your mouth and into your throat without pausing. Once I finished I felt much better but felt embarrassed drinking in front of him like that

Bryan: "Sorry for drinking the whole thing"

Koopa Troopa: "Don't worry about it, I have a whole supply that will last us for a few days… by the way my name is Oliver T. Koopa, but you can call me Oliver" he put his right hand in front of him waiting for me to take it with my own right hand which I did.

Bryan: "My name is Bryan, it's nice to meet you. If you don't mind me asking, can you explain what you're doing out here as well"

Oliver: "Well you see, I'm come from the Badlands and have been wanting to travel to a more peaceful area. The Mushroom Kingdom is a friendly place, so I decided to travel there but in order to get to it I must go through Kalimari canyon first" (See what I did there).

I wanted to know more about this guy, I had so many questions still like What is it about Badlands that made you want to leave? and is your family ok with this decision? But I weren't going to be able to hold on anymore, sleep was creeping into my eyelids.

Oliver could see it thanks to the lantern as the only source of light emitting from his right hand.

Oliver: "I'm guessing that you would rather sleep now then having to keep hearing me blabber more about my personal life, well thank Nintendo (There version of "God") that I brought a spare sleeping bag for this".

He took of his carrier and opened the main part where he took his left hand and pushed it down, 5 seconds after he pulled up and got 2 sleeping bags. They were both green with yellow zips Typical as he unrolled the material and waved the end out, he placed both down and went over to his travelling stuff.

Oliver: "Looks like we should be getting some shut eye" That's when he disappeared into his own shell. His arms, his legs & most importantly his head all fit into one.

He came back out all in one hole bigger than the rest which disconnected Oliver from the green shell now just lying there as a prop. The Koopa was now just wearing a white vest as he went into his own sleeping bag, I couldn't help but think how cute he looked as you copied his actions by getting into the spare one.

I gave out a "goodnight" to your companion as he did the same, I looked above into the night sky, now finding out how stunning it was to look at however I kept thinking about Oliver and just how he has treated me for the 5 minutes we have been with each other.

Sigh, a miracle has just happened to me, am I the most luckiest person in the universe or what, being able to spend my time here… Just watch me wake up tomorrow morning and this will be all a dream.

I'm letting you know that this is going to be a two-chapter story, it was originally gonna be a one shot, but I want to give this more time to write and I just wanted to start by giving a little introduction to each other.

Also my spelling & vocabulary is very simple so please don't hate me ok, I got a C in English so I try (Inwardly chuckles)

The next chapter is where it will get good.
