Steam had near filled up the kitchen as Cosmo was finally allowed to take the boiled lobsters out of the water. The smell was enough to make his mouth water but made him felt slightly nauseated after draining the water. He took a deep breathe, trying hard to fight this nauseating feeling he had since this morning. Right now was not the time to throw up. He had a dinner to prepare.

Earlier, he had sent Wanda back to chocolate land so she could have a day to herself while he tried to find a place for their anniversary but had very little luck. The only places that had tables open had trashy open bars or served food he knew Wanda wouldn't like. Heck, maybe he should have just followed her to chocolate land and called it a night.

Mmm.. chocolate sounds nice right now..No focus you ding dong! She deserved much more than some silly chocolate!

After draining the water, Cosmo took another breathe and braced himself for the hardest part of cooking: reaching for the plates in the cabinet. Lately, he had been having trouble flying, and though he could still manage to float a few feet off the ground, it was lower than it had normally been. Wanda had been asking him what was wrong, but he would just brush it off and say he was tired and had trouble falling asleep.

Well, I wasn't completely lying..Ugh, I'm so ready for this to be over with…

He reached as hard as he could to grab the cabinet handle, revealing a set of white porcelain plates piled neatly at the bottom. Straightening himself as much as he could, he reached and grabbed the plates with both his hands, struggling to maintain his balance. Since when were plates so heavy?

The plates weren't completely off the bottom shelf before Cosmo felt his arms struggling. He flapped his wings more violently as he felt his body weight begin to take a toll on him, keeping him from maintaining his position. As soon as he managed to get the plates however, his wings gave out, causing himself to fall and break the plates into a million pieces.

He knew he was weak, but he didn't think he was THAT weak. He asked Wanda for help at least 25 times a day over things anyone with a brain could figure out, but he felt small, frustrated tears falling down his face. Why was everything too hard for him? It wasn't fair to her, how she always had to save him like a knight in shining armor. He was her husband after all. He wasn't just some stupid damsel. So why did it seem like that's all he was.

Cosmo forced himself up and grabbed his wand, sweeping up the mess and forcing him to use the paper plates that lied next to where the good plates lied. He slammed them on the table a bit more than intended, and slapped the lobsters on each plate, feeling his nausea grow a bit more.

No..not right now. At least wait until after dinner..please?

He frowned at the table. Dead sea bugs on a paper plate didn't quite live up to his expectations of a wedding anniversary dinner. What else could he do? Candles? No, he really shouldn't be left alone with matches. Heck, it was a miracle he didn't burn the kitchen down with his cooking. He could dim the lights..

No..she deserves candles. And chocolate. And flowers..

Oof! He forgot to get her flowers! Cosmo began to cry again. How could he have forgotten? He had it written on the palm of his hand, albeit spelt backwards, that he needed to find his wife some flowers. He wiped his tears off his green, velvet jacket, and looked at the clock on the oven. Dang it..it's was almost 6:30. She'll be back any minute now.

He took a seat at the table to gather himself for a minute, a slightly headache coming on and his stomach felt as if it were kicking him. The lobster's smell got stronger as Cosmo got hungrier, now wanting so badly to chow down. He had also began to wonder what sauce would go great with lobster..butter sauce..ketchup..peanut butter?

Ok, not peanut butter. Who'd be crazy enough to do that? Well, maybe I'll try it some other time. You know what they say, don't knock it til you try it! Just to see what it tastes like. Oh wait! Hang on!

He squeaked softly, making his way towards the wine cooler that they kept in the corner of the kitchen. Grabbing a bottle of Pinot Noir from the cooler, he placed it on the table and made his way towards another cabinet, where they had kept their wine glasses. Much like the last door, he felt his arms struggling to even open the door. But at least, he only needed to grab one.

Oh, but of course it's all the way in the back. He tried reaching for the glass again; his short arms not even halfway towards where he wanted them. Cosmo lifted his belly to allow his legs on the counter, forcing himself to grab the glass in the back, nearly losing his balancing once more. At last, he grabbed the glass and climbed down, keeping himself on the ground from now on. He poured the wine into the glass, and placed it on the opposite side of him, while he grabbed a water bottle from the fridge for himself. Lucky Wanda..she still gets to drink right now.

It was almost 7 now, and Cosmo felt himself getting more and more antsy. He dimmed the lights and took his seat, keeping his eyes on the front door in case Wanda got back. His legs squirmed, and Cosmo wished he had gone to the bathroom beforehand, but he didn't want her to come back to nothing.

Come on Wanda..I know chocolate's yummy but please..hurry..Well, I guess a quick trip would be ok. As long as I'm quick.

As soon as he had gone and done his business, Cosmo finally heard the long awaited POOF! Wanda had finally arrived at the front door, her face covered in chocolate as she looked around, barely able to see much.

"Wanda!", Cosmo cheered, getting up and hugging her, but keeping a small distance so his stomach didn't touch her, "Happy anniversary!"

"Aww..Is that lobster! I didn't know you knew how to cook."

"Uh..I don't. I tried to read off that book over there by the sink, and they look and smell good. Dunno about taste."

"Well, I'm sure they taste fine, darling.", Wanda said, kissing him gently before looking at his clothes, "What's with the jacket?"

"Um..It got cold?"

"You could have turned the AC off, Cosmo."

"Oh come on! Can't I look good for you for once? I mean, you do that for me every day!"

"Well now I feel under dressed.."

"Don't worry about it! Come on, I'm hungry!", Cosmo said, pulling her towards the dinner table. "I'm sorry about the mess. I really was hoping I could make this a special night for you, but I kinda ruined some things..like the plates..and I forgot the flowers..even though I said I wouldn't."

"What are you talking about? I don't see a thing wrong with anything.", Wanda said, smiling gently.

"B-but.."

"But nothing! I love it. All of it. Though, I would have thought you would pour yourself some of this wine. You know we were saving it for special occasions, and you could have had some if you wanted to. I thought you liked this stuff."

Cosmo felt himself tense up a bit, and he felt his stomach kick slightly. He wasn't ready to tell her yet. He had hoped to have waited until they had their dinner.

"I..uh..didn't feel like it myself tonight."

"How come, hun?"

"I don't know..I guess I just hadn't been craving it lately. I dunno. I just haven't really been in the mood I guess."

"Alright then. If that's what you want.", Wanda said, piercing her rose colored eyes at him before turning towards the lobster, attempting to cut it with her knife and fork. "Ugh, the shells are a bit hard, Cosmo. Are you sure you cooked them all the way?"

"I don't know..I think I did. The book told me to steam them for 10 minutes each."

"Did you add enough water?"

Ugh..yep there it is. He messed up..AGAIN. Maybe he should have looked harder for a restaurant. Maybe he should have taken her to one of those downtown bars. At least she could have a decent meal.

"Are you ok? What's wrong?", Wanda's voice snapped Cosmo out of his thought, "You look like you're about to cry."

"I don't' get it.", he whimpered, crying once more "Why can't I do anything right? Why do I keep messing things up?"

"Baby, it's just lobsters. It's no big deal."

"But I wanted them to be special! These aren't even my first batch. I had ruined about 3 other lobsters before you came back! I can't believe I made another stupid mistake! What do I keep doing wrong!"

"Cosmo, relax!", Wanda yelled, grabbing his shoulders, stroking them up and down, "I still love it. I know the lobsters aren't..the best..but they're more than what anyone's ever done for me."

"W-what?"

"It was so sweet. I remember when Juandissimo took me out when he and I were dating. He wouldn't take his eyes off his muscles for more than 2 seconds. But you took time out of your day just to do this for me. That's worth so much more than any lobster anyone can put together."

"B-But I keep messing up.."

"That doesn't matter. You did this all for me, and I know it's because you love me. That's what matters.", she said, wiping his face dry, "Come on now, stop crying. You're ok. Everything's ok. Just relax.."

Cosmo allowed himself to melt into her arms, embracing her, kissing her at the same time. Wanda felt Cosmo's muscles finally relax, something she hadn't seen in a while now that she thought about it.

"Cosmo?"

"Hmm.."

"You've been so stressed out lately. And you haven't been flying as high as you normally do. Are you alright?"

"Actually Wanda, I've been more than alright. There's something I have to show you.", Cosmo started, reaching towards his jacket buttons. Wanda watched him before she finally began to notice that his belly had swelled underneath, occasionally showing a foot kicking inside it. Her eyes sparkled as she flew towards him and placed both her hands on his stomach, before the foot kicked them off. Cosmo laughed slightly, before looking down at his stomach, rubbing his gently.

"Sweetheart..meet your mommy."
