Dot scowled to herself. Melody has been getting all the attention since she arrived. Yakko had done nothing but tend to her for the whole entire week! Even Dr Scratchansniff liked her! According to him, Melody was way more calm, and the doctor could have actual sessions with her where she could tell him her feelings. Dot hated it! Besides, her and her big brother were supposed to go to the salon today. Yakko promised her that they would go to the salon so she could get a makeover done by her friend Minerva Mink. But that was going out the window.
Melody was having another panic attack! Stupid stupid panic attacks!
"It's okay, Melody... it's okay..." Scratchansniff comforted, rubbing her back gently.
"He was gonna get me!" Melody sobbed. Scratchansniff continued to rub her back, humming gently to relax her. "It's alright now... I vant You to take a deep breath for me, okay? Vust like we practised, remember? " Scratchansniff demonstrated what to do, by taking a slow breath in, waiting for her to follow, she sounded and the doctor approved. "Very good Melody." Scratchansniff replied, proud of her.
Yakko soon arrived, rushing over to his youngest sister's side, rubbing her back gently. "It's okay youngest sister sibling... It's okay... You're doing really well. I'm proud of you cute girl." He said. Dot was going to scream! Cute girl? She thought she was his cute girl! What the heck? Has she seriously taken over cute duties? Really? First he attended to her all week and now he's giving her pet names? "I am The cute one! She's just my sister!" Dot sang mockingly loud, anything to make her presence known in the room.
Yakko turned to her, and she was beginning to feel hopeful, but instead, he turned to her scowling. "Dot please! Not so loud! Melody is having a panic attack, okay? Loud noises will just trigger the attack even longer. So please be quiet. I'll take you to the salon later, but right now your sister needs my help. She's been traumatised don't forget, plotz told her all this nasty stuff, and she's still recovering mentally from it. So please, take it easy on her okay?"
"Whatever. Dot spat.
Scratchansniff looked at her worriedly. He needs to have a chat with her.
After an hour, the eldest Warner sibling came into their bedroom, seeing his sister scowling as she was lying on her bed on her stomach. "I hope you're going to drop this attitude Dot, I don't like it. It doesn't suit you. " Yakko said with concern in his voice. "Yeah. Well it doesn't help when your big brother gives the youngest all the attention in the house! I thought I was the cute girl! No! Melody is!" Yakko gasped. "Dot! How dare you treat your sister like that! I thought I just told you we weren't going to treat her like a rejection. Melody is part of our family now, you need to realise that. If you don't, well that's tough. She is part of our family now whether you like it or not. You're supposed to be the big sister Dot, so act like it please. You're supposed to be setting a role model for her, you're supposed to be there for her. Now, are we going to the salon or not?"
Dot looked down and nodded. "Yeah." Her big brother smiled, taking her hand. "Come on then, let's go! I did promise you a makeover today. "
When they arrived in the salon.
Yakko and Dot arrive in the salon, Minerva Mink greeted them. "Hello darlings!" Minerva said, meowing slightly. Yakko couldn't help the blush that creeped across his face. What can he say? Other than the obvious, he fell head over heels for any woman. Clearing his head, he guided his sister over to the chairs that minerva was just gesturing to. The younger Sibling sat in the chair, her face is far from excited. Something was up.
After her makeover.
Dot was finished with her makeover, wearing her hair in a cute ponytail with a pretty pink bow to match her pretty pink dress. She looked even more cute than before, she thanked Minerva, who also looked concerned but didn't pick up on it. Something was definitely wrong.
When they got back the doctor was waiting for them, his eyes quickly darting over to Dot.
Without verbally saying anything, Dot nodded, following Scratchansniff without a word spoken between them.
When they both arrived in the room, the Warner sister felt uneasy, she felt awkward, she could barely move. This felt wrong, like she shouldn't be here, but her feet dragged her towards the office so she was obviously needed.
"Dot? Is something wrong?" Scratchansniff asked the Warner sister. She shook her head, but the doctor knew she was lying. "I know you're lying. " Scratchansniff said accusingly. "You haven't been yourself, are you okay? "The Warner sibling nodded, tears in her eyes. Scratchansniff frowned. "Dot..." Scratchansniff warned. "Tell me vhat's wrong..." Scratchansniff said in a much more calming approach. "If you tell me vhat's wrong I can help you.." he said, putting a hand on hers, which he never usually did.
"Scratchansniff...? Do you think... Yakko's gonna replace me with Melody?" She asked, her bottom lip quivering.
Scratchansniff's heart broke, as he squeezed her hand tighter. "Oh, Dot dear... no vone's ever replacing you... you will always be part of the family... Always." He said. Dot frowned. "It doesn't feel like it... Yakko's always spending time with her... It's like he doesn't even notice me anymore... "
She said. Scratchansniff gave a sad smile. "Vhat's because Melody is still adjusting... she's been rejected by the studio... She thinks she's vot good enough. She's been having panic attacks because she's afraid the CEO will get her and hurt her. You need to be there for her, you need to love her because she's never had love before. This is all new to her." Dot nodded, smiling a little. "Thanks scratchy." She said getting off his therapy couch, he smiled waiting expectantly for her to kiss him. He gestured her forward pressing his finger to where she could kiss him.
She did kiss him, and he just giggled, pressing a kiss to her cheek too. " run along dear, I think you owe someone an apology." Dot nodded, looking down at her feet. He was right
Dot walked in to be met with her younger sister having another panic attack. She strode over, frowning when she saw her Younger sister crying. She squeezed her hand tightly come rubbing it in affectionate circles. Melody reached out for her, and the older one gladly wrapped her in a hug.
Yakko was watching them, smiling happily to himself. He walked over, causing the girls to look at him. Wakko walked over to, smiling, his tongue sticking out in its usual way. "Melody... I'm sorry I got jealous of all the time Yakko was spending with you, I realise now that you needed him, and still do. I promise I'll wait my turn next time. " Dot promised, hugging her sister tightly.
"And Dot, i'm sorry too. I should've given you my reasons for spending time with Melody, instead of leaving you to make the assumptions on your own. But, Sibs, I wanna tell ya somethin... just because we have a new sibling now, doesn't mean my love will ever run out for either of you. There's plenty of my love to go around." Yakko said sitting Dot on his lap.
"The inside of my heart has so much room...There's no way anyone could change my love for you...
Sharing what you got makes a good thing better. There's nothing to worry about.

Scratchansniff watched the cute interaction, standing by the doorway, as the rest of the Warner siblings all found room on Yakko's lap, him laughing as he snuggled all of them. "I Love you guys, all of you."
"Well, now that that's over," Dot said. " Who wants to save princess Melody?"
Melody jumped up, climbing onto the couch to act as her princess castle. "Oh, who shall save the musical princess!" She said over dramatically.
Yakko, getting into character, pulled out a princely hat from his hammer space. "Fear not my princess sister sibling! I shall save you! "He said in a princely voice, jumping up onto the couch and quickly getting his sister down. "But, there is an evil dragon coming to capture the princess!" Wakko said, roaring like a dragon, causing the other Warner's to scream.
Scratchansniff, also playing along, was the knight in shining armour.
"Come my royal children! We must escape from the evil dragon Wakko!"
Wakko got off the couch, and proceeded to chase everyone around the water tower.
All that could be heard for the rest of the day and the evening was laughter giggles and overdramatic sentences.
