Project VALKYRIE

Rosalind Arya Lokidottir better known to the magicals as Carina Dahlia Potter-Black knew her first true friend would have been proud of how well she'd done for herself after he'd gotten her free of HYDRA. Proud she'd put the intelligence she'd gotten from all of her parents to good use in her schooling, completing her magical education a year earlier than her peers. Used her smarts to get free of her mother's people to even take the chance to be part of the Air Force and go to university.

To meet people and make connections like he'd had once before being taken by HYDRA in the form of the much younger Maximoff twins, Shuri of Wakanda, Sam Wilson, and Riley Sawatzky. To have more than just Neville and Luna to trust as a close friend. To find her family in the form of Loki, having finally met the Asgardian and bringing him back into the world he'd left behind when Lily died.

The meeting would be a simple one, Rosie having been traveling during the summer after what would have been her seventh year of school. Traveling to get her head straight and come to a decision on what she wanted to do with her future outside helping look for her first friend and her older half brothers. Having finally completed the task of sending Voldemort to her Aunt Hela.

Loki had been coming and going from her life at that point and had found it hilarious she seemed to attract those so much like herself as friends considering she'd grown up amongst the middle class with no clue as to her inheritance and place as a Duchess through James Potter's magical blood adoption of her. That she'd taken the very much wounded souls of the Maximoff twins and given them a sanctuary with her during her time in Sokovia to get their educations straightened out and a more permanent roof over their heads had amused him even more. He'd also found that he much enjoyed spending time with her on the mundane side of things more than with the magicals as the mundane humans kept making more advancements in technology and other fields that caught his interests as he looked for his sons. It had turned out that Hela was his older sister and the one responsible for the creation of the Deathly Hallows and the title behind them that Rosie carried after unintentionally collecting the objects in question.

Rosie would stay with the twin eleven-year olds for the whole summer once she'd gotten their lives on track once more, showing them both that there was more to their world than just a possibility of getting revenge on the man who had produced the weapons that had killed their parents. Showed them the world was so much bigger than their small war-torn country as she shared her magic and experiences with them when it came to the Blood Wars. And it was only about to get even bigger for everyone as Masrani's big secret project was finally announced.

Dinosaurs. They had actual, living, dinosaurs. Oh, it was very hush hush, companies and governments trying to cover up what had happened, but she'd gotten access, as an excellent pilot working on a genetics degree Her Majesty's Government had let her see what records they had. Once she'd graduated, she'd left the Air Force to pursue another degree as there was no access to either island except for people employed by a Mr. Masrani.

So that was her goal, to get employed and see what prehistoric delights lived in the twenty first century. With her knowledge of magic and science that would be no problem. Tomorrow her final paper would be published, and it should be enough to get the interest of the company. She knew it would mean being employed in a lab, but she knew she would get to see some at some point.

Rosie got off the boat, backpack over one shoulder, and stared around at the massive construction site. Despite all the trouble caused by the islands they were attempting to build a park, again. Hopefully, this one would work, and no one would die. A horn got her attention and an ATV pulled up.

"Evans?" a male voice calls out.

"That's me" Rosie says softly as she approaches the ATV.

"Name's Roger. Hop on and I'll get you to the employee housing section so you can freshen up and eat. You have a four o'clock meeting with Miss Dearing and Dr Wu" Roger explains as Rosie got on behind him and held on, watching the various construction projects going on until they left the area through a gate and came to a series of rather bland houses. "This is you" Roger parks and Rosie gets off, accepting the key. "I'll pick you up at quarter to" the man explains before leaving.

"Thanks" Rosie gives a wave and went to see her new home. Everything was rather bland but top of the line, Masrani wanted his employees happy after all. She put her backpack away and noticed the rest of her belongings had already been delivered. It was tempting to cheat in unpacking, but she didn't think it worth the risk. She grabbed some clean clothes and headed for the shower. She dressed in clean light weight beige slacks and a nice blue shirt Sam had given her before grabbing a sandwich and exploring her new home. It wouldn't take much to make it homey, though it would be nice once the construction was all done, and quieter.

Roger, like promised, picked her up and took her to one of the complete sections, then again, the command centre and labs were necessary to get everything else up and running. She signed in and accepted her shiny id badge before heading for the indicated elevator and heading up to meet her bosses.

Claire was surprised by how young the Doctor who got off the elevator looked. She'd seen a picture but had assumed it was a few years old, but her birth date had been there too. Only twenty-three and she held two doctorates, one in palaeontology and the other in genetic engineering, it made her a perfect fit for the park. Then again with the media the islands had gotten over the years there were several people who had begun tailoring their education in the hope of working with dinosaurs. "Welcome to Jurassic World Dr Evans" she says as she held her hand out and Rosalind shook it firmly. Their skin a stark contrast and one of the few things Rosie had gotten from James Potter besides his family fortune, his grandmother having come from a pureblood family in India.

"Thank you, Ms. Dearing" Rosie says with a slight smile on her face.

"This is Doctor Henry Wu, the head of the department" Claire introduces the two and they shook hands. "Take a seat and we will discuss your position here" she continues as they all sat down and went over what Rosie's job would be.

Rosie collapsed on her bed; mind spinning hours later. The labs were top of the line and she was looking forward to working in them. What she didn't like was her boss. Dr Wu felt…off. He was hiding something, and from Ms. Dearing as well. With the cursed Potter luck, she'd inherited from James Potter, she knew whatever it was would come back to bite her at some point. Without reading the man's mind there was nothing she could do. For now, they would be working on creating several species of dinosaur to be ready for when the park opened, species that would draw crowds.

Sadly, she wouldn't get to work on a T-Rex, no dear old Rexy was an original inhabitant and there would be no more until she died of old age. They had another two years until the park opened to the public and she was looking forward to having all that time without loads of people on the island. Apparently, there were even some dinosaurs roaming the island from the original park, mostly small herbivores and she wanted to go and see them at some point, not like they were any real threat to her after all.

An hour after returning to her new home Rosie would begin to set up her computers and other necessities when the twins called her on Skype to see how the day had gone.

"It's very bland" Wanda would muse out loud as Rosie snorts and nods with a shrug.

"I'll make it mine soon enough. Just finished debugging it all so no eavesdroppers could listen in or see the quality of my personal tech. Ms. Dearing seemed nice enough even if she seems to be more of a number's person than a people person. Wu seems to be hiding something. What it is I don't know but it'll come out eventually" Rosie sighs as Pietro frowns in concern.

"I'll be fine since it doesn't seem to be something that will happen anytime soon. I'll just have EMRYS keep tabs on things, discreetly obviously so I know what's going on. I get to work with dinosaurs though I won't be breeding any Rexes since the original, Rexy is still around and thriving" Rosie pouts, the twins laughing at how put out she looks and sounds at not being able to create a Tyrannosaurus Rex.

"I'm sure you'll be able to create carnivores just as dangerous…Does Masrani know about your magic?" Pietro asks as Rosie nods with a small frown on her face.

"Yeah, my little talent with reptiles is the reason I was brought on outside my two doctorates. He's hired a couple squibs from what I can tell as well. None know or recognize me considering the scar is gone and I dyed my hair" Rosie admits as she twirls some of her hair around her pointer finger. Before dying and cutting it her hair had been raven black like Loki's that had rested just at her hips. Now it was a pastel purple that brought out her green eyes and had it cut to a side parted wavy pixie with an undercut that was better suited for her current line of work.

"Did you like Shuri's birthday gift?" Wanda asks in a bid to change the subject, seeing how put out her older sister and best friend seemed to be that Masrani had brought her on for reasons other than her resume.

"I love it, she really out did herself with the beads this time. How are classes treating you now that I'm no longer there?" Rosie asks, flashing the Kimoyo Beads Shuri had gifted to her for the twins to see.

Shuri had been another friend Rosie had made on her summer journeys over the years, having managed to get a pass into Wakanda courtesy of Kingsley before her sixth year as a means to get her out of England for a time so she could heal from the loss of Sirius and hadn't counted on her hitting it off with the very young mechanically inclined princess. Both bonding over the need to grow and learn how things worked and create something even better as a result of the knowledge gained.

Rosie and Wanda would fall into easy conversation after that till the twins let her go to get some sleep before starting her new job the next day.

Rosie watched as the egg cracked, practically vibrating in excitement a few months later. Her first dinosaur was about to hatch! "Come on, there's a girl" she croons softly and finally a small head broke through and she smiled even as she picked the hatchling up to gently clean. Microceratus may be the smallest dinosaurs being bred for the island, but she didn't care, she was just glad they were hatching. She moved the new baby to the crèche and waited for the rest to hatch. She would move onto the other nests, letting her magic discreetly wash over them all to see which babies were ready to hatch and which ones weren't viable or weren't quite ready yet.

Rosie studied the DNA sequence closely as the computers ran it. They were adding a new species to the Cretaceous Cruise to keep people interested. It was risky adding another predator but Baryonyx liked sushi, not steak like Rexy so it was considered safe enough. Now all she had to do was get a good enough DNA sample to bring one to life. She'd been searching for a few months since being moved onto the carnivore projects instead of the herbivores she'd been working with and finally she had a promising sample. Oh, it wasn't complete, they never were, but this had far fewer 'holes' than any of the others she'd run. So, she began working on simulations, using various animals to fill the holes. It took another three weeks but finally she decided that freshwater crocodiles from Australia were the best match. Once that was done, she and her team went to work merging the two for real in order to fertilize some eggs. After that all they could do was wait and see what hatched.

The process of using her magic though to check the nests would lead her to forming her second familiar bond a year into her job in the labs, the first being Hedwig, in the form of a Suchomimus that had hatched green and black (Think the Woodland skin from JWE) instead of the standard black and yellow to the disgruntlement of Wu and his personal team. Rosie and her team had been ecstatic though and had petitioned to have the animal enclosed in a private enclosure for further study. A study that would show that the Sucho had come out a male instead of female due to the genes used in having him come out green. They were still trying to figure out how the Sucho DNA had gotten mixed in with the Baryonyx DNA they had been working with though Rosie knew Wu had been to blame since he had been experimenting when he thought no one was looking.

"He's magnificent Ms. Evans" Simon Masrani would praise, coming down to the labs himself to settle the dispute since Wu and his team were all for putting the animal down since it hadn't come out the way the park needed it to. In the way that all the park animals were supposed to be female to prevent breeding and fights.

"My team and I gave him the name Sobek since the first skeletons were found in Africa and Sobek is an Egyptian god with a crocodile head" Rosie explains in pride as she gently reaches down to rub the growing infant's snout. Both in the small nursery room they were holding the Labrador sized male till his fate was decided. He'd grown quite a bit over the course of the months of arguing since hatching, so he'd been housed separate from the other carnivores still being hatched.

"He wouldn't be able to be put on display" Simon sighs as Rosie nods in acceptance of that.

"The team knows but we already have a set of private enclosures we use to hold the animals not ready for display and for further study so we were thinking of having him settled in one and we could study his species further to see if he remains as docile as he is now or if he will become as aggressive as the other Spinosaurids being bred for the Cretaceous Cruise. We know the Baryonyx is fairly aggressive as it is right now" Rosie explains as Simon nods before asking if her magic had anything to do with it.

"I hadn't thought of that…It might. I'd have to watch him for a few more weeks before I'd could say for sure" Rosie admits, biting her lip as Sobek croons, sensing her insecurities. He would rub himself against her legs in quiet comfort and surprising both Masrani and Rosie.

"We'll go ahead with enclosing him into one of the private enclosures for further study. It would be a waste of time and resources to put him down after putting so much money into breeding him" Simon says as Rosie nods, petting Sobek to quietly reassure the little one things would be okay.

"So, Masrani allowed Sobek to live then" Pietro says in amusement at Rosie's giddy demeanor. Both Maximoff's working on their assigned homework during the Skype call. They'd just moved on from elementary school when Rosie got the job from Masrani so were in middle school currently to her quiet pride they were sticking with it without her physically there.

"Yes, Sobek gets to live to see the opening of Jurassic World. Though seeing him so tame surprised Masrani quite a bit. Sobek reached out to comfort me today when he sensed my slight distress" Rosie explains as Wanda asks what had caused her to get upset in the first place.

"My magic might be the reason he's so docile and willing to go along with the tests we've put him through…I hadn't thought to take that into account, it caught me off guard when Masrani suggested it. It means I have to pay a little more attention to my interactions with him and figure out what my magic did and be careful in case Sobek's behavior gives the higher ups any ideas" Rosie sighs, running a tired hand through her hair. "Did you get a chance to think over the idea of coming out here? I know my dad will show up at some point now that the wards will hide him from his family a little better" she asks as the twins nods, mischief clear in his eyes.

"Come the summer break we'll be coming out as part of a summer course your university is doing with our school" Wanda agrees as Rosie smiles brightly while the younger twin explains how they'd managed to make that work with some of her university classmates still working towards their degrees.

"I can't wait then; Claire is likely to leave the job of a lab tour to me then. Wu isn't as big a people person as he comes off to be" Rosie cackles as Pietro asked how things were going with investigating Wu.

"Slow, but I know for sure he's being funded by and holds strong connections with InGen Security" Rosie grumbles in annoyance as she brought up the information on her beads to send to Shuri to look at. "Some of those hired on or in the division behave too much like HYDRA for my comfort so I've been keeping my head down and just continued to gather intel and proof of what they're up to in case things go sour for the park" she admits as the twins nod slowly.

"Stay safe Rosalind" Pietro says firmly as Rosie nods and both hang up.

By the time the twins did come to visit Sobek had been moved to the private enclosures as planned and the park partially opened without any problems, Rosie being given more aspects to her job once it became clear the animals she bred and cared for came out healthier and slightly easier to work with compared to the animals Wu was breeding.

"Rosie" the groups calls out happily, dog piling the scientist in a hug that she eagerly returned before being let go to greet her younger friends. Most of the group had been in most of her classes and were excited at the prospect of what she could show them and teach them after spending two years with the animals.

"Welcome to Jurassic World" Rosie says happily as she wrapped her arms around her best friends' shoulders with a happy smile, letting herself be pulled into a tight hug that conveyed how much they had missed her.

"So where to first?" Anita, one of her former classmates asks as Rosie steps back to take in who had managed to come out.

"I give you a tour of the attractions open, then the labs and if we still have time today a small tour of the private enclosures" Rosie says clapping her hands together as some of her palaeontology classmates got manic looks in their eyes at the idea of seeing the private enclosures.

"You should have left that part as a surprise Rosie chan" Yamato from her biology courses points out in quiet amusement as Rosie shrugs and begins the tour, her arms looped with the twins as she did so.

"Well it technically wasn't a surprise and the study enclosures are probably the most active enclosures outside the open attractions right now" Rosie says as Anita giggles and asks what she had been up to and which animals she'd been given clearance to breed and handle.

"Mostly herbivores currently. We've only started work on completing the Genomes of some of the original animals Hammond planned to display of the carnivore variety and making sure they're healthy enough to live outside the nurseries. Also making sure everything is in place to make it safe to view them" Rosie explains as they walked through the T-Rex Kingdom attraction. Rexy in all her scared glory very visible as they fed the large female Rex her first goat of the day.

"They should have gone with a cow or something a little bigger to keep her happy" one of second years in the group points out a little put out on behalf of Rexy's lack of meal choices. "Rexes are hunters and tying the goat down won't do anything for her" she continues as Rosie nods.

"Masrani is working on it. It was a suggestion that's been made already, but he also has to placate to the animal rights activists" Rosie points out grumpily as Anita and Yamato both laugh.

"So, you've already tried to put forward some changes" Anita says in amusement as the twins' cackle and nod having listened to the rants every other day about the level of care the animals received after leaving her care in the lab nursery.

"Wu cuts me off and down at every bloody turn it's a miracle anything awe inspiring gets down. Obviously bringing them back from extinction is awe enough, but not giving them the stimulation to behave as they should just takes the fun out of it all" Rosie admits grumpily as some of the group in their last year nod along in understanding.

"No actual research can be done if they're not behaving like they would in the wild" Yamato points out as Rosie nods.

"We've done some since I was brought on and with the use of the private enclosures, we're seeing some of the natural behaviors that were only speculation before" Rosie admits with a proud smile.

"You mentioned Sobek had started learning how to fish in your last call" Wanda admits as Rosie nods with a proud smile on her face at the reminder.

"Yeah he's learning to hunt with the fish we've put in the makeshift river we created in his enclosure to simulate the attraction he would have been displayed in had he come out a girl instead of a boy" Rosie says as Anita giggles.

"You sound like a proud mom Rosie. More so then usual anyways" Anita points out as the witch flushes in embarrassment as they got onto the monorail still being built to have a look at the Jeep tour through the Gallimimus valley.

"Sobek has kind of turned into solely my assignment in caring for him and making sure his needs are all met" Rosie admits as Yamato frowns and asks why Wu hadn't shown any interest as department head.

"He was part of the faction for putting Sobek down and after Masrani gave me the go ahead to use one of the private enclosures for Sobek he's been keeping me and those who sided with me at arms length so to speak" Rosie says with a shrug. She knew it was because the man didn't want one of her people and by extension Masrani's people catching onto what his private projects were about and how far he'd pushed the legal boundaries of the science in brining the dinosaurs back.

"Well at least no one else can interfere with how you care for him outside Masrani" Anita points out logically, earning a smile for her efforts.

"When is your dad coming out by the way?" Yamato asks curiously as Rosie hums in thought, her magic reaching out to where she'd left her tracker on Loki. He was still on Asgard since Heimdall had let slip to Odin after her father's last visit that Loki had been wandering on Earth.

"Soon, he's dealing with family issues currently since his father is stepping down from his seat and his older brother is soon to take up their father's spot. He's also been busy trying to track down where his father hid his sons, my older half brothers" Rosie explains quietly as some of the Gallimimus flock approached and tried to keep up with the jeep tour. She would reach out and pet the bolder members of the surviving flock as they ran alongside the jeep.

"Hearing that makes me really hate your grandfather Rosie. Why hide your grandkids from their father? Sure, he had the oldest very young but its no excuse considering Loki took responsibility each and every time" Anita grumbles as Rosie smiles faintly in amusement. Her friends had always enjoyed Loki's company and liked picking his brain when he opted to get involved in some of her studies to see why she was interested in gene manipulation and animal bones. She'd loved the look of awe and surprise on his face when she'd taken him to the university lab and shown him what it was exactly she was doing, her project at that time to fill in the gaps of an extinct animal DNA strand, and how far ahead the tech was in comparison to Asgardian tech.

"He got close to one of my brothers hiding places during his last visit with me while we were working on something else and that's why he got called back home. My grandma is nice though on the one occasion he let us meet. He doesn't enjoy sharing me with the rest of his side of the family since his brother is a bit of an idiot and his father would disapprove much like T'Chaka does of my friendship with Shuri. His older sister is okay though do not bring up their father with her since she loathes him for various reasons" Rosie simplifies for her friends though the twins knew better than any of Rosie's friends about what was truly going on and it had made them sick to their stomachs on more than one occasion how the king of Asgard treated his second son.

"Well hopefully he brings them home on his next visit since I know you miss Teddy" Yamato says as Rosie nods in fond reminder of her godson who had turned six last month.

"Andy brought him to see me just before the park had its soft opening and stayed at my place in employee housing before they returned to London. Celebrated his birthday here with some of my co workers who were eager to meet the little snot" Rosie says happily as Anita giggles and pats her knee.

"You would make very pretty babies Rosie and don't deny it since before you dyed your hair you had a very nice shade of red hair" Anita says as Rosie flushes red at the compliment.

"I have Teddy already and most are put off by that or my job" Rosie admits as Anita waves her off.

"You're still young and have plenty of time. Now continue with the tour and promise to let me know when someone gives you those babies since I want first dibs on godmother" Anita waves off as Wanda laughs at how red her best friend was getting and would ask questions about the animals around them; whether they were newly bred or if they were the original animals Hammond had bred for Jurassic Park, while Pietro tried to pretend he wasn't sulking at the idea of their sister's sex life.

In private the twins would ask what had really happened and learn of the other ongoing project Rosalind was working on in the form of finding and destroying the Infinity Stones once Hela had let slip what they were in the few dreams the woman shared with her acolyte. So far, they had found and even destroyed the Soul stone much to the relief of Hela since it couldn't be recreated once destroyed regardless of the soul given up to bring it into being.

"Your search for the stones is what caught their attention and forced Loki home. Not his sons" Wanda muses as she sat at the small island in Rosalind's kitchen watching her move about in preparing them both dinner. Pietro was taking a small nap on the small living room couch since jet lag and the excitement of getting to see living, breathing dinosaurs had worn him out.

"Yes. I tapped into the magics of the Hallows to strengthen the wards around the property so when he does come back, we can finish the charm we were making to hide us both from Heimdall's, and by extension Asgard's, sight. It was the backlash of destroying the Soul stone that caught the bastard's attention" Rosie grumbles as Wanda nods and asks how the search for the others was going.

"S.H.I.E.L.D. has the Space stone and the Reality stone went missing after the last conflict between the Dark Elves and Asgard. There have been rumors the Time stone ended up in the hands of the Masters of the Mystical arts but no actual confirmation and neither of us wanted to go poking around wherever they have it kept safe and we don't know about the Mind or Power stones. With the Soul stone destroyed there's been no rush to find the others. The being hunting them needs all six and can't recreate the one we destroyed with Hela's magic. Not since we distributed the power of it evenly across the death deities of the planet, so the universe doesn't fall apart with the stone's absence" Rosie explains as she worked on searing the steak to go with the rice and the baked carrots she already had prepared.

"That you found one is still surprising considering how powerful and rare they sound and to destroy one sounds even harder Rosie" Wanda points out reasonably as Rosie nods. "Have you considered asking Hela for help in the search for Loki's remaining children? She might have the power and ability to send a message or sign to give those not tied down a way to find you" she points out as Rosie takes the steak off the heat, so she didn't burn it in her surprise.

"We hadn't considered it since she isn't too keen on Loki though if we worded it as a way to spite HIM she might help" Rosie muses, green eyes distant as she got lost in thought only to come out at her friend getting up to help finish serving dinner.

Hela in the end did help shortly after the twins and Rosie's university friends returned to the mainland by sending Váli and Jörmungandr as payment for one of the favors the witch had done for the bound goddess. Both were in their animal forms and unable to change back in the case of Jor to Rosie's quiet distress since Loki would have to be the one to undo the bindings Odin had inflicted on the large serpent. Váli had just been happy to learn how to shift back and have a place to call home once more after being turned into a wolf and forced to kill his twin by Odin.

Rosie clapped and cheered with everyone else as Claire blew out the candles on the massive cake. Jurassic World had been open for five years now. There had been a few close calls as a lot of the security measures were experimental, but no one had been eaten or even chewed. There'd been injuries due to guest stupidity of course but that happened in all parks.

"What about some sort of water-based dinosaur?" Alex asks during the monthly lab staff meeting and they all consider it, bringing up information on different species on their tablets. Soon there was discussion on what type to try and where to have the exhibit. Various types were suggested such as Liopleurodon, Sulcusuchus, Thalassomedon and Ichthyosaurs. A Megalodon was even suggested but eventually discarded as too big, not to mention the threat of such a massive shark should it manage to get into open water. In the end it took three hours for them to agree to trying to bring back a Mosasaurus. Technically it wasn't a dinosaur, but it was big and impressive, a marine predator that would definitely bring in visitors. Wu signed off on it and then left and Rosalind went to hand the paperwork to Claire so that the engineers would know they needed a new kind of enclosure. In the end they sealed off the lagoon, giving the future animal 11,000,000 L to live in. Even a fully grown Mosasaurus should be fine in it. Vali and Jor both had been living in her second bedroom for a few years at that point, the former catching up on what he'd missed the last several centuries (Rosalind had gotten him signed up for therapy since Loki had confirmed for her when she was still at Hogwarts that Vali's story rang true) while Jor explored the many dinosaur enclosures when he wasn't hiding out in Sobek's enclosure getting to know his sister's familiar.

Things with Loki though would come to ahead the same year Rosalind had been given the green light to start breeding Raptors for a project InGen Security was funding and Teddy was entering his fourth year at Hogwarts. She hadn't been paying too much attention to what had been happening on the mainland, but she knew that she hadn't imagined Loki's brief coming and going from Earth the year before and the fact the dream meetings had stopped had made her uneasy.

So, with great unease Rosalind would take a couple days off from her lab to head to the mainland via portkey to finish the paperwork of her brothers and Teddy's citizenship in the Americas while picking up the little present Shuri had left in her vaults with the American Gringotts branch. She was also going to pick up Sleipnir since Hela had taken advantage of whatever chaos had been happening on Asgard to slip the second youngest of her living brothers down the old paths, enchantment free to the witch's relief. It meant someone was still on Loki's side in the royal family since only Odin or Frigga could remove the bindings on Sleipnir.

"What are we doing?" Sleipnir asks curiously as he followed his sister down to her main vault with the goblins. He liked the warm feelings she exuded and was excited at the prospect of seeing his brothers again after so long being confined to his animal form.

"I'm picking up a gift from a friend that I'll need to help me track down our father. He's been avoiding me the last several months and that means something has compromised that way of communication" Rosalind explains as she tucks away a pack of kunai, a couple tanto and a few semi-automatic guns (two SIG Sauer P220, three SIG Sauer P226, two Beretta 92, a M249 SAW, a M4A1 and a Glock along with all the ammunition needed to go with each), and Gryffindor's sword into an expanded shoulder bag. She would come to a stop in front of a mannequin to take in the combat outfit Shuri had made for her and smile slightly in amusement of how much work Shuri likely put into it all as she removed the black Vibranium chest plate first then the high collar dark green long-sleeved blouse, a pair of Vibranium weave leggings, a Vibranium weave black long sleeve under shirt, black fingerless gloves, black leather boots and a black fabric face mask that covered up to just under her eyes. She would spot another mannequin with a new metal arm and combat outfit attached for her first friend once he was free, having spent a year during her time in the Air Force learning engineering as a means to take better care of her machines to back up what she'd learned with Shuri in Wakanda.

"Well can't say she wasn't thorough. I'm going to send you home where our brothers are waiting while I finish up here okay?" Rosie says as Sleipnir nods and together both would return to her home on Nublar where Vali and Jor were waiting for them before Rosie left again.

Once she found somewhere to change Rosie would quickly change her hair color to white and her eyes to a dark red to keep her civilian identity a secret before slipping into her combat outfit and strapping all the guns into place in their holsters under her blouse yet over her undershirt before using her magic to follow where she definitely sensed Loki. She just hadn't counted on Thanos actually showing up with a portion of his army to the party so to speak to find out how she and Loki had managed to destroy the Soul stone without throwing the universe out of balance.

"I am getting really tired of all this bullshit. You would think saving the world once would be enough, but no. Fate just has to be a bitch and throw another evil maniac bent on mass genocide my way for shits and giggles" Rosie grumbles in Russian as she shot down another Chitauri in her way as she made a mad dash for where the Mad Titan and her father were stationed at the top of Stark Tower, cursing and spewing insults all the way. "He so fucking owes me big for having to save his sorry ass. He's supposed to be the reasonable adult in our family, not me" she hisses as she ducks and uses a lull in the fighting to apparate to the helicopter pad of the tower, using the noise of all the fighting to go unnoticed. Use her lack of presence to sneak up behind the Mad Titan and shoot him in the knees.

"Death's acolyte" Thanos hisses in pain as Rosie stuffs her emptied Glock back into its holster in the small of her back and takes out Gryffindor's sword as she approached the downed alien.

"Mhm Death's acolyte, the representative for all the death deities on this planet that you've managed to piss off in one fell swoop. You really shouldn't have done what you did otherwise none of us would be here" Rosie hums, her eyes filled with vicious amusement as the Titan demanded to know where the Soul stone was, not having believed Loki's word and thoughts on what had happened to the stone.

"We destroyed it of course. You would know since you took what was mine and twisted it into the puppet you used to do your bidding to subjugate this planet. Or attempt to anyways and you won't ever find it again since it can't be reformed. The gauntlet will always be incomplete so your self-appointed task in trying to even the balance ends here. Ends by the hands of an Asgardian and a human" Rosie explains before cutting the Titan's head off, using her magic to force the downed being into an easier position to do the deed. She would set the dead Titan's body on fire with Fiendfyre and quickly cut it off once there was nothing, but ash left of the Titan.

"Now to find my idiot father" Rosie sighs tiredly in Russian as she looked up at the still open portal before making her way inside to find said idiot toss one Tony Stark out a window. She wouldn't give Loki a chance to turn around before hitting him hard on the head with the pummel of her sword.

"We really need to talk about playing nice with your brother's friends because tossing Stark out the window is only asking for trouble. Same with stabbing said brother" Rosie grumbles as she used the Feather-Light Charm before hefting Loki over her shoulder and making her get away without a care JARVIS and Selvig had seen everything. The normal people and the cameras had already caught her in the fighting on the street and her overall appearance wouldn't lead back to her civilian looks.

"Well that was a little anti-climatic" Rosie sighs to no one as she slips into the MACUSA congress building and port keys back to her home on Isla Nublar. No one but the Avengers none the wiser as to her actions as Selvig and JARVIS both shared what they'd seen of her and her actions on the helicopter pad of Avengers Tower.

"So, Loki had an accomplice and back up plan in case we won" Tony muses as Steve shook his head in the negative as they all stood in the room where Loki had last been seen. His staff having been taken into the safe custody of SHIELD while Thor had kept the Tesseract on his person once it became clear he would be around longer since his brother hadn't been caught.

"No whoever that thing was that came with Loki was surprised to see her. Called her Death's acolyte after she took out its knees with well aimed shots and she definitely fit the bill as a being of death with disposing of its body" Steve points out as JARVIS replayed the video and would pull up clips of the masked woman as she weaved her way through all the carnage towards Stark Tower. Watching the clips though Bruce would catch onto the eye color change in Loki after their mystery woman hit him with her sword.

"Loki wasn't in control. Not full control" Natasha muses as Bruce had JARVIS bring up a picture of Loki in Stuttgart to when he was hit upside the head, Thor perking up in slight relief before asking if the woman could be tracked. She had technically kidnapped his brother after all.

"Sabrina covered her tracks well since she left none of the ammunition and knives she used behind and kept the crucial parts of her face covered so it'll take JARVIS a little time to try and find a match. What I want to know is how she managed to set that body on fire and leave no burn marks behind" Tony admits, a manic gleam in his eyes as Natasha catches the bits of Russian in the audio. She would snort lightly in amusement at all the swearing and insults being thrown around by the smaller woman. She would also put out there to begin looking into the myths around Loki since the woman had called Loki 'father' in Russian. That and into death gods since having a label as Death's acolyte was rare and it might narrow down the search.

Rosie would slip back into her routine fairly quickly after her day trip to the mainland, ignoring all the fuss being made about the invasion of New York and focusing on the task of breeding Raptors that would live past hatching for the Raptor program. She would leave the care of Loki to her brothers since she had done all she could in healing his physical and mental injuries from his time under Thanos' care. She did though attach the charms that hid them from Asgard to all four of them while having the protections inked into her skin before she'd gone back to work.

Loki would wake up late one night a couple days before the man hired to train the surviving raptors was due to arrive. Vali, Sleipnir and Jor sound asleep in their shared room while Rosalind sat in the living room doing some of her paperwork for Claire. He would have EMRYS show him what his little flower had been up to and wince at the colorful language she had used in regard to what had happened in New York. His smile turning a little blood thirsty as he watched her behead the being that had subjugated his will during his moment of righteous anger in regard to the secrets that had been kept from him.

"You've been busy little flower" Loki says quietly as Rosie looks up from her work in slight surprise, green eyes bright with relieved tears as she put her pen down to hug the tired god that was her father and partner in crime.

"Well one of us had to be. We can't all be Uncle Thor who gets the answers handed to him on a golden platter" Rosie sniffs as Loki returns her hug, burying his nose in her hair in slight relief she'd come out of his mess unscathed. "I did have to dig into the arsenal I set aside for my friend though to get the job done" she admits as Loki laughs knowing his little flower was a true rose in that her skills left over from her HYDRA days had given her thorns to her overall innocent look.

"Still no one to appreciate the wonderful person you are besides your friends" Loki says as Rosalind shook her head no as his sons, her brothers crept into the room and wiggled their way into the hug, making it a group hug.

"No. No one wants to even consider it with how intimidating my brain makes me and my combat skills intimidate those that aren't scared off by my occupation" Rosie sniffs as all four of the seven men in her family growl in anger on her behalf. "It'll happen when it happens. Till then I have all of you, the Maximoff twins, Luna, Neville, Teddy and eventually my trapped friend once I figure out how to do a jailbreak without bringing HYDRA down on my ass" she sighs as all four Asgardians hug her a little tighter before letting go. Loki would take Jor aside to remove the bindings while Sleipnir would sit to keep Rosie company while she finished her work and Vali went back to bed.

Overall to anyone looking in on them they looked like a normal family even if Loki looked fairly young to have four young adult children, Rosalind looking barely out of her teenage years in comparison to her actual age.

"Hi, Owen Grady" one Owen Grady would introduce himself a couple days later, fresh off the boat with Dr. Rosalind Evans waiting for him.

"Rosalind Evans, welcome to Jurassic World" Rosalind says as they shake hands. "So, you're the crazy person they brought in to work with the Raptors?" she asks in amusement.

"I've worked with a lot of animals" Owen admits with a shrug.

"I know, I've seen your CV and you are qualified, but dinosaurs are nothing like modern animals" Rosie warns and Grady nods as they walked through the labs, heading for a quarantined hatchery. "So ex-Navy?" the purple haired witch asks.

"Yeah, you?" Owen asks curiously.

"Royal Air Force joined as soon as I was eligible. Got my genetics degree through them. Quite to do palaeontology. I admit, there are days I miss flying" Rosalind admits with a fond smile on her face.

"Give me a boat any day" Owen says as they chuckle and came to a door.

"Right, your employee id gives you access here but none of the other labs" Rosalind explains as she swipes his card and opens the door, watching as Owen instantly focuses on the six eggs.

"Six?" Owen asks. He hadn't thought there were meant to be so many.

"Contingency. Despite years of breeding dinosaurs, we still lose some before they hatch and others during infancy. Odds are only three of these will make it to adulthood" Rosalind explains as Owen approaches the eggs. He could hear the sadness in her voice at this admittance.

"Can I?" He asks as he raises a hand, looking back to Rosalind.

"Of course" Rosalind smiles as Owen gently touches one of the eggs.

"Hello beautiful" He whispers as Rosalind mentally notes to go spend some time in Sobek's pen since he had been comforting her with the continued losses in trying to breed Raptors.

"I'll leave you to it" Rosalind says softly before leaving Owen with his unhatched charges.

When the Raptors did finally hatch the park would be fully open and fully operational, all safety measures in place and a couple of Rosalind's own in place that she had put her own money on as a majority investor of the park. She and Owen had managed to convince everyone to keep the Raptors out of the exhibits. Owen's four babies had a very secure enclosure well away from the public. Her personal lab and Sobek's enclosure was out of the public eye too thankfully, though she would be working the main floor as well. It made her feel like an animal at the zoo and that was when she worked there without visitors! Since they didn't want the docks crowded with staff several monitors around the less public areas had been set up so they could watch the first arrivals of the day. She felt sorry for Claire since she was stuck down there with a bunch of suits and Wu.

Rosie would shake hands with Mr. Hoskins later that same day and had to fight the urge not to squeeze tight enough to break the InGen heads hand. If she'd thought what she got off Wu was bad, Vic was even worse. And technically Wu worked for InGen, not Masrani like Rosalind did. Masrani might own InGen but there was also a board to worry about. Added to that Hoskins interest in the Raptors, Rosie had a really bad feeling. Owen had been hired by InGen, but it was obvious that his 'girls' were his priority, who knew what would happen if they tried to replace them.

"Guess the rumours are true then?" Rosie asks as she walks up to the 'Cage'. Owen looking up and sighs.

"Where'd you hear?" Owen asks as Rosie crosses her arms across her chest.

"Break room" Rosie answers even as she watches the raptors move to see her. "Hello ladies" she calls out softly with a small wave and then turns back to their trainer and Alpha. "So?" she demands, hoping for some decent gossip since it wasn't often Claire Dearing was asked out on a date.

"It was a disaster alright! We have nothing in common and…urgh" Owen grumbles as Rosie snorts in amusement.

"Technically you do, you both work here" Rosie points out, her green eyes bright with her amusement.

"Very funny doc" Owen deadpans as Rosie snorts out a laugh at his tone.

"Sorry. At least you're out here, you won't have to see her every day" Rosie points out with a shrug.

"Yeah" Owen says looking a little unsure.

"Hey, maybe in time when things are calmer round here you can try again" she offers as another option.

"Doubt it" Owen grumbles as Rosie sighs and lets the subject go.

"Come on, steaks and drinks, my treat" Rosie offers as she helps the man finish cleaning up for the day.

"Thanks" Owen says appreciatively knowing Rosie's cooking was some of the best on the island next to the restaurant food.

"Just grab a shower first" Rosie says with a laugh and ran back to her bike to head home and begin preparing said steaks if Loki hadn't already done it. He'd been coming and going quite a bit with the upcoming Convergence on the horizon. There hadn't been too much noise on the mainland outside what the twins mentioned over Skype when they weren't working or out doing protests with the rest of their countrymen. Though the fact Tony Stark had gotten into a pissing match with the Advanced Idea Mechanics CEO when the man had gone rouge had been a plip on her radar. Rosie hadn't seen the need to leave Nublar to poke her nose into the situation. Not when she had her work and Sobek to think about since with the Raptor program up and running Hoskins was poking his nose into her projects once it became clear she was Masrani's woman through and through and would only answer to him and not InGen and their board.

Rosie grins as she watches the first Mosasaurus feeding show from the sidelines. She was finally getting the hang of how they fed her the shark and had adapted to the schedule, so it meant visitors got more than just seeing her through the windows into the lagoon. She was a beauty and if the worst happened and she ever got into open water at least it was unlikely she would attack humans or boats as she was a bit skittish. The crowds were screaming in delight as they were splashed when she breached to grab the shark and then slammed back into the water.

"He wants to what?" Rosie asks in utter disbelief and Owen shrugs. "Tell me he was joking" she demands incredulously. The pair had gone back to her place like they usually did for drinks when Owen drops the bomb of what Hoskins wanted from the Raptor program.

"I don't know. Hoskins seems to want a lot more from this program than just testing how smart my girls are. Especially since your boy has proven to be very docile and able to take orders" Owen admits as Rosie hisses some curse words in Russian as she tosses back her drink.

"I don't need any program to tell me any raptor is scarily smart. I've seen the reports from Grant and Malcom. Before you they were the most experienced with live Raptors. Sobek was a special case and I raised him like your raising your girls and he's only well behaved if I'm within range of sight and smell since Wu's lab techs tried doing some work wearing my scent and it only pissed Sobek off into nearly killing the tosser that got too close. Plus, I was there when the first lot were bred, before they brought you in. Those three were utter terrors with how they could get into anything. You would have loved them" Rosie snorts, green eyes bright as she thought back on the first successful batch of Raptor babies.

"Sounds like it. What happened to them?" Owen drank his own beer and finished off his steak.

"They died. An idiot came into the labs with a virus and the girls were infected, couldn't shake it. Zinnia died pretty quick but Ayame and Tulip ended up being put down as a kindness. Idiot got fired over it too though I felt it wasn't enough since the jackass knew to always come into the lab sterile or not at all" Rosie hisses as she put her glass down before she broke it.

"I'm sorry" Owen offers gently. He knew his doc friend invested quite a bit of herself into the animals of the park and to have that work and lives wasted was a sure way to make your way onto her shit list. She'd been pranking Hoskins for less after the first meeting between them and no one had caught on it was her outside Lowery and himself.

"Yeah. Your girls have stronger immune systems, I made sure of it. Dinosaurs weren't meant to be able to fight off human diseases, so we've tweaked them all since then" Rosie explains as she refills her glass of Coke and rum. She couldn't get drunk on mundane alcohol courtesy of her Frost giant genes, magic and whatever HYDRA had injected into her as a child, but it gave her the chance to enjoy the taste. Her dad had taken her brothers to the mainland once they'd prepared a couple plates for her knowing she likely would have brought Owen or Lowery from the Control room home.

Things had been a little calmer now that they were all going to family therapy and she knew her dad couldn't help himself in wanting to get ahead of whatever was going to happen during the Convergence and had taken her brothers as his back up.

"Any other 'tweaking'?" Owen asks warily and Rosie shakes her head.

"Not in any I've handled. All I do is give them the chance to live long, healthy lives. What the others do I'm not sure and there's been talk…it's probably nothing but a few of the newbies want to see how much we can do in pushing the envelope with the science" Rosie admits as she put their plates in the sink to be washed later.

"There's a scary thought" Owen points as she sat back down at the table with her drink.

"Oh yeah no doubt it's a scary thought and its why I have a couple of my programs running through Wu's system, so I get copies of everything he's doing so I know what he's doing before he passes the paperwork and assignments down to me and my team" Rosie admits as Owen asks if that was legal.

"Masrani gave me the go ahead when it became clear I was breeding less aggressive and healthier animals without pushing the boundaries like Wu and his team tends to do. He knows what to expect when dealing with me, but Wu and InGen are unpredictable at the best of times when Hoskins isn't here pushing his agenda" Rosie says as Owen nods and salutes her for her sneakiness and ability to get away with shit like that.

When the twins didn't make their usual call after participating in a major riot or protest Rosie would gear up and make her way to the mainland knowing in her gut something was wrong seven months after the Convergence had come and gone, the Aether contained within Asgard's walls for safe keeping along with the Tesseract. Loki and her brothers having taken part in the craziness that was the attack of the Dark Elves on Asgard and Earth. Her dad having gone with Thor to remove the Aether from one Jane Foster who couldn't seem to stay out of being involved in Asgardian affairs while her brothers had kept London safe with Dr. Selvig, Darcy Lewis and her intern.

That Thor had let Loki and her brothers remain behind spoke well of Thor's personal growth, though that Frigga had died in the assault on Asgard told her that Thor didn't trust Odin to treat any of them well with the loss of his wife and voice of reason when it came to Loki and their family.

To the present though Rosie was making her way towards fellow retired Air Force member, Sam Wilson since he was letting her stay with him while she sorted out what had gone wrong in Sokovia.

"So, going to tell me what's going on? A missed call isn't something too major" Sam muses as they walked to Sam's current job as a PTSD councillor for fellow returnees. Rosie's black sling back pumps clicking against the tile floor as they walked, having dressed casually for the occasion in simple black leggings and a simple gray long sleeved t-shirt and her old royal air force jacket.

"Yeah it isn't on a normal day, but the deal was if they took part in any of the protests or riots that they would call me afterwards to let me know if they were alright. Regardless of how hurt they were. They didn't which means something is wrong." Rosie explains as she let Sam open the door for her to the room set aside for the sessions in the Veteran's Affairs building.

"So, you came to D.C. to meet with some of your contacts to see what's going on" Sam chuckles as Rosie sticks her tongue out at him.

"Yes, and you may laugh at my contacts, but they get the job done better than some of the resources at your military's disposal" Rosie huffs as Sam nods, this argument an old one from before Riley had died. The trio having met while they were all serving, Rosie the baby of their trio even though she hadn't signed up for the same position as Sam and Riley had.

"True and those contacts saved our asses on more than one occasion so they should be able to give you what you want" Sam agrees before starting the session, Rosie contributing much to Sam's delight on her experiences with the Royal Air Force and some bits and pieces on the terrorist attacks that had been going on in the 90's.

"The thing is I think it's getting worse. A cop pulled me over last week, he thought I was drunk. I swerved to miss a plastic bag. I thought it was an IED" one of the few woman in the room admits as Rosie nods knowing she'd done that a couple times when she'd been learning to drive after her fifth year.

"Some stuff you leave there, other stuff you bring back. It's our job to figure out how to carry it. Is it gonna be in a big suitcase or in a little man-purse? It's up to you" Sam says patiently as Rosie reaches out and pats the woman gently on the knee.

"It gets better and as long as you get used to being back those kind of things will happen a little less. I did the same thing when I was learning to drive after I got caught up in the first bombings in London when I was fifteen. As long as you explain at least the basics of what happened the police are usually very understanding" Rosie reassures as the woman smiles back a little brighter as another man in the room asks what Rosalind did now that she was out and had been getting help.

"Ah I work as the senior member of my lab team of the many Genetic Biologists in Jurassic World. Got my genetic engineering degree through the military and got another in palaeontology once I retired from flying" Rosie explains as some of the returnees clap and congratulate her for doing that so young before Sam ended the session. She'd spotted their watcher in one Steve Rogers and wondered how Sam had managed to get his attention.

"Look who it is. The running man" Sam says after saying goodbye to the last of his patients.

"Caught the last few minutes. It's pretty intense" Steve notes as Rosie stood next to Sam with her arms crossed, green eyes assessing and seeing what Sam had likely seen in their first meeting. The good captain hadn't actually taken time to sit down and learn or seek out help in adjusting since New York.

"Yeah, brother, we all got the same problems. Guilt, regret" Sam admits as Rosie reaches out and wraps a steady arm around his waist, leaning in when Sam reciprocated the quiet support.

"You lose someone?" Steve asks.

"My main wingman, Riley. Flying a night mission. Standard PJ rescue op, nothing we hadn't done a thousand times before, till RPG knock Riley's dumb ass out of the sky. Nothing I could do. It's like I was up there just to watch" Sam admits.

"I'm sorry" Steve offers as Rosie nods.

"After that, I had a really hard time finding a reason for being over there, you know? Especially with my wing woman state side doing good work for the world in general one animal at a time" Same admits as Rosie shoves him lightly in amusement.

"Uh huh you're just lucky the ladies find me too intimidating otherwise you'd be down a wing woman" Rosie says lightly in amusement.

"But you're happy now, back in the world?" Steve asks curiously.

"Hey, the number of people giving me orders is down to about one and that's Rosie. So, hell, yeah. You are thinking about getting out?" Sam asks as Rosie unwraps herself to punch him hard in the shoulder.

"You're lucky I'm the only one bossing you around these days you tosser" Rosie grumbles before subsiding to hear what Steve had to say.

"No. I don't know. To be honest, I don't know what I would do with myself if I did" Steve admits as Rosie frowns, her concerns validated.

"Ultimate fighting?" Sam asks as Steve laughs. "It's just a great idea off the top of my head. But seriously, you could do whatever you want to do. What makes you happy?" he asks as Rosie pulls out her phone to see a text from Lowery letting her know her dad imitated her so well it was freaking him out a little. Loki offering to cover for her while she was away sorting out the twins.

'It's my dad of course he's going to know me well enough to behave and interact with everyone like me. Where do you think I got my brains and pension for mischief from?' Rosie texts back and gets a middle finger emoji for her efforts.

"I don't know" Steve admits as Rosie flipped through her emails as both head to the car and back to Sam's place. The American goblins had come through for her and it was as bad as she thought it would be. HYDRA had taken her brats and were on the move in DC. An attack on Fury in the works much to her aggravation as she plugged her phone up to her laptop and got to work on hacking into SHIELD with EMRYS diverting her IP address to a couple known hackers across the country as a means in covering her tracks. She'd inhale sharply though when she got to the part of the report that her savior and potential assignment partner in HYDRA had been assigned to DC and the assault on Fury.

"EMRYS can you enact the WINTER protocol for me please" Rosie says quietly, aware that Sam was still a light sleeper.

"It will be done Miss" EMRYS says softly as he put into place the protocol that told everyone connected to EMRYS' network that she was going to ground and to stay where they were while she dealt with the threat.

Sam would find her sitting and watching the news the next morning as the death of Nick Fury was reported and plastered across all the major news networks. That Steve was a wanted man for withholding information in regard to the murder of Nick Fury.

"Shit really hit the fan huh" Sam sighs as Rosie turned the TV off with a nod.

"Yeah and my contacts gave me all the details they could find. Fury was poking around in something and whoever is in charge didn't like it. A little too close to home for my liking if you know what I mean" Rosie says as Sam nods and asks if she had brought her gear.

"Is that a trick question Sam? Of course I did. Never leave home without at least some piece of my gear" Rosie says in a deadpan tone as Sam laughs and asks which of her arsenal she'd brought with her and which ones she'd need to go pick up.

"I left the sword behind if that's what you're asking. This needs a more flexible touch than the war hammer approach I took in 2012" Rosie says with a laugh as she unloaded some of her bag to reveal the mini armoury she'd been carrying and her armour. "I'll probably need to use your bathroom to make a couple adjustments though" she sighs as she tugged on her purple hair. Sam would motion towards where the bathroom was with a wave of his hand knowing she would use her magic to get the job done and no one could see the light it made from his small bathroom.

"Are you sure this isn't overkill?" Sam asks as he looked over what she'd brought (one SIG-Sauer P220ST, a pair of Glock 19, a pair of SIG-Sauer P226R, an M203 Grenade Launcher, two Vibranium tanto knives that Shuri's brother had given her and a pair of metal knuckles made of a metal mixture with a small amount of Vibranium inside she'd made herself after melting down some of the Vibranium bullet rounds she'd used in New York) and the corresponding ammunition to go with it all.

"Ah let's just say what your new friend has gotten into is a pissing match years left unresolved Sam. A pissing match that needs to end before I go hunting for the branch that took my brats" Rosie says firmly, coming out of the bathroom with white hair and her eyes a dark red once more.

"So we wait and get on board" Sam says as Rosie nods with a grin slightly on the bloodthirsty side as she set EMRYS to work filtering through and setting aside the files of those still with the true SHIELD as a means to protect their families and identities while leaving behind all the HYDRA files.

Rosie would be preparing breakfast when Sam came back from his run and someone knocked on the door the next day.

"Hey, man" Sam says as he opens the door.

"I'm sorry about this. We need a place to lay low" Steve's voice carries from the door.

"Everyone we know is trying to kill us" Natasha Romanoff says as Sam pauses a moment before replying.

"Not everyone" Sam says and lets them enter, Rosie waving cheerfully to the pair.

"You can let them know breakfast is ready" Rosie says quietly while Sam whistles impressed at the large spread.

"Rosie made breakfast. If you guys...eat that sort of thing" Sam says to Steve and Natasha.

"So, the question is: who in SHIELD could launch a domestic missile strike?" Natasha asks as they sat in Sam's kitchen eating the meal Rosie had prepared, the red head eyeing and assessing the woman who had slipped away from SHIELD for so long only to pop up when HYDRA reared its ugly heads.

"Pierce" Steve points out.

"Who happens to be sitting on top of the most secure building in the world" Natasha says in counterpoint.

"But he's not working alone, Zola's algorithm was on the Lemurian Star" Steve muses out loud.

"So was Jasper Sitwell" Natasha pieces together as Rosie nods.

"So, the real question is: how do the two most wanted people in Washington kidnap a SHIELD officer in broad daylight?" Steve asks as Rosie cleaned up the dishes.

"The answer is: you don't" Sam says as he drops a file in front of Steve.

"What's this?" Steve asks.

"Call it a resume" Sam says, Natasha picking up the photo of Sam with his para-rescue team.

"Is this Bakhmala? The Khalid Khandil mission, that was you" Natasha asks in awe. "You didn't say he was a para-rescue" she says to Steve, looking at the photo of Sam with his colleague.

"Is this Riley?" Steve asks as Rosie came back in her armor minus the mask which was hanging around her neck.

"Yeah" Sam and Rosie say together.

"I heard they couldn't bring in the choppers because of the RPGs. What did you use, a stealth chute?" Natasha asks curiously.

"No. These" Sam explains as he hands Steve the file, Steve opening it and reads it.

"I thought you said you were a pilot" Steve says incredulously.

"I never said pilot. Rosie was the pilot" Sam says with a grin.

"I can't ask you to do this, Sam. You got out for a good reason" Steve points out.

"Dude, Captain America needs my help. There's no better reason to get back in and Rosie never left as you know" Sam laughs.

"Where can we get our hands on one of these things?" Steve asks as Rosie grins in amusement.

"The last one is at Fort Meade, behind three guarded gates and a twelve-inch steel wall" Rosie explains as Steve looks at Natasha who shrugs her shoulders.

"Shouldn't be a problem" Steve says as he throws down the file on the table and to reveal that it's a classified military project called Falcon.

"I take it Loki is still living with you" Natasha asks as Rosie loads her weapons in the backseat of Sam's car.

"Mhm and the where stays secret since I do need to go home after all this is over. My brothers moved to the mainland after the incident in London" Rosie says without looking up from what she's doing while Steve nods knowing the change in looks was a means to protect what she had. She wouldn't say another word to the blonde and red head till Sam dropped one Jasper Sitwell on the roof they'd situated themselves on.

"Tell me about Zola's algorithm" Steve demands as Rosie watches on in amusement. Outright snickering when Sitwell spots her and recognition takes effect. Looks like HYDRA hadn't forgotten her or her more recent exploits in New York two years ago.

"Never heard of it" Sitwell tries to deny.

"What were you doing on the Lemurian Star?" Steve asks bluntly.

"I was throwing up, I get seasick" Sitwell explains as Steve forces Sitwell to the edge of the rooftop, Sitwell just smiles. "Is this little display meant to insinuate that you're gonna throw me off the roof? Because it's really not your style, Rogers" he points out.

"You're right. It's not. It's hers" Steve steps aside and Rosie kicks Sitwell off the roof. He plummets down screaming to Rosie's amusement.

"Nice form. Oh, wait. What about that girl from accounting, Laura...?" Natasha asks as Rosie snorts in amusement.

"Lillian. Lip piercing, right?" Steve asks warily.

"Yeah, she's cute" Natasha points out nonchalantly.

"Yeah, I'm not ready for that" Steve says as suddenly, Sam, in his Falcon jet-pack suit with wings, flies up holding Sitwell and throws him down on the roof. Steve, Rosie, and Natasha walk towards Sitwell, he holds his hand up in fear.

"Zola's algorithm is a program...for choosing Insight's targets!" Sitwell shouts.

"What targets?" Steve demands.

"You! A TV anchor in Cairo, the Undersecretary of Defense, a high school valedictorian in Iowa city. Bruce Banner, Stephen Strange, anyone who's a threat to HYDRA! Now, or in the future" Sitwell explains as Rosie hisses angrily at what that meant.

"The Future? How could it know?" Steve asks in confusion. Sitwell laughs.

"How could it not? The 21st century is a digital book. Zola taught HYDRA how to read it" Sitwell explains as Steve and Natasha look at him in confusion. Your bank records, medical histories, voting patterns, e-mails, phone calls, your SAT scores. Zola's algorithm evaluates people's past to predict their future" he finishes, watching Rosie warily as she clenched and unclenched her hands in visible anger. He knew she'd understood from the beginning.

"And what then?" Steve asks.

"Oh, my God. Pierce is gonna kill me" Sitwell says in breathless fear.

"What then?!" Steve demands, having grabbed Sitwell by his jacket.

"Then the Insight Helicarriers scratch people off the list. A few million at a time" Sitwell says as Rosie curses rather colorfully.

"HYDRA doesn't like leaks" Jasper Sitwell points out as Sam drives them to Triskelion. Rosie jabbing the man in the ribs with her elbow as she kept her other hand on the metal knuckles tucked into the pouch under her shirt.

"So why don't you try sticking a cork in it" Sam deadpans.

"Insight's launching in sixteen hours, we're cutting it a little bit close here" Natasha points out as Rosie snorts in amusement. She'd managed to win her fights with less time than what they had.

"I know. We'll use him to bypass the DNA scans and access the Helicarriers directly" Steve explains to the rest of the group

"What?! Are you crazy? That is a terrible, terrible idea" Sitwell sputters only to scream as suddenly the Winter Soldier lands on the car roof, pulls Sitwell out through the window, and throws him into the oncoming traffic, killing him. He then starts shooting at them until Steve pulls the break handle making the Winter Soldier drop down onto the street, as another car smashes into the trio's car and pushes them along, the Winter Soldier jumps back onto their car, smashes through the windscreen and pulls out the steering wheel.

"Shit!" Sam swears as Natasha starts shooting at him, but the Winter Soldier jumps onto the vehicle behind them, as the trio's car is being pulled off the road Steve holds on to the car door.

"Hang on!" Steve shouts as he breaks open the door, holding onto Natasha and Sam, they slide on the car door through the streets while Rosie tumbled out and landed on her feet at a sprint. The Winter Soldier is joined by HYDRA agents and they start shooting at them, the quartet scatter and run off in different directions with the Winter Soldier shooting at Natasha but she manages to shoot him in his eye goggle mask and run off.

"She's mine. I'll take care of her. Find him" the Winter Soldier orders in Russian as he goes in pursuit of Natasha as the Hydra agents go after Steve and Sam who both manage to fend them off as they shoot at them. Steve then notices the Winter Soldier in pursuit of Natasha, Rosie right on his heels.

"Go, I got this!" Sam shouts to Steve, picking off the gunman trying to shoot the blonde, Rosie jumping down and racing after Natasha. The Winter Soldier thinks he's found Natasha hiding behind a car as he can hear her voice.

"I make an LZ, twenty-three hundred block of Virginia Avenue. Rendezvous two minutes. Taking fire above and below expressway. Civilians threatened. Repeat, civilians threatened" Natasha's voice rings out of a phone she'd picked up in the chaos. He rolls a bomb towards where he thinks she's hiding. As the bomb explodes Natasha jumps onto the Winter Soldiers back and tries to kill him but he throws her off, she starts running off as he goes after her.

"Get out of the way! Stay out of the way!" Natasha yells out to the civilians as she tries to get away from the Winter Soldier suddenly she gets shot in the shoulder, she falls and looks around her as the Winter Soldier comes up from behind to shoot her, Steve and Rosie jumps in and attacks him. They fight and in the process the Winter Soldier takes Steve's shield and throws it at him, but Steve manages to avoid being hit, after battling it out more the Winter Soldier's mask comes off, as he looks around at Steve the true identity of the Winter Soldier; Bucky Barnes comes to light. Rosie not even looking surprised like the rest.

"Bucky?" Steve calls out in shock

"Who the hell is Bucky?" Bucky demands as he goes to shoot at Steve, Sam flies in and kicks Bucky aside. Bucky takes aim again but before he can shoot Rosie uses the grenade launcher Bucky dropped earlier to shoot at Bucky who vanishes in the smoke of the explosion, then the quartet hear sirens after which they are surrounded by HYDRA agents being led by Rumlow.

"Drop the shield, Cap! On your knees! Get on your knees! Now! Get down! Get down!" Rumlow yells as Steve holds his hands up. "Get on your knees! Down!" he continues to yell as he kicks Steve's leg and Steve kneels down. "Don't move" Rollins warns as Rumlow looks at the helicopter flying above them and warns Rollins who's holding Steve at gunpoint. "Put the gun down. Not here. Not here!" Rumlow hisses to his men as Rollins lowers his gun, the HYDRA agents then take Steve, Sam, Rosie, and Natasha into custody.

Rosie wouldn't go quietly though hissing and swearing obscenities in Russian at their captors, ignoring the pained look of amusement on Natasha's face. Eventually they would put a muzzle on the witch when it became clear she wouldn't stop hissing death threats at them in every language she knew.

"It was him. He looked right at me like he didn't even know me" Steve says quietly as the quartet were being escorted in the van.

"How's that even possible? It was like seventy years ago. And he's not like Rosie" Sam points out quietly as Rosie snorts in amusement, red eyes holding a knowing look in them.

"Zola. Bucky's whole unit was captured in '43, Zola experimented on him. Whatever he did helped Bucky survive the fall. They must have found him and..." Steve theorizes, his guilt obvious to all in the van that he hadn't looked harder for his best friend and brother.

"None of that's your fault, Steve" Natasha reassures as Rosie nods in agreement.

"Even when I had nothing, I had Bucky" Steve admits quietly as Sam notices Natasha is bleeding from her shoulder and looks at the guards.

"We need to get a doctor here. We don't put pressure on that wound she's gonna bleed out here in the truck" Sam explains urgently. Suddenly one of the guards pulls out an electric rod and neutralizes the other guard and knocks him out, the guard is revealed to be Hill as she takes off her helmet to the physical amusement of Rosie.

"Ah. That thing was squeezing my brain" Hill sighs, Sam looking at her in confusion. "Who's this guy?" she asks, having recognized Rosie from the New York footage. She would reach across and undo the muzzle, watching as the woman stomped down on it and breaking it as they all made their getaway.

Hill takes the quartet to a secret facility once they made their getaway. A man runs towards them as they enter the base. Rosie carrying most of Natasha's weight.

"GSW. She's lost at least a pint" Maria explains, referring to Natasha's wound.

"Maybe two" Sam tacks on as the doctor takes Natasha off his friend.

"Let me take her" doctor says only to be stopped by Maria.

"She'll want to see him first" Hill admits as she takes them to Fury who's alive and lying in a hospital bed, the trio look at him in shock. Rosie just snorts and lets loose a careless cackle.

"About damn time" Fury deadpans, giving a curious look to the one who had killed Thanos. Thor having explained who the purple alien had been in the video. Fury though knew her from a quite different source that was still trying to find her and tie her down on the other side of things.

"Lacerated spinal column, cracked sternum, shattered collarbone, perforated liver, one hell of a headache" Fury explains later as Natasha's wound is being treated.

"Don't forget your collapsed lung" the doctor adds on as Rosie vanished the blood off her clothes with magic and began cleaning what weapons she hadn't lost in the fighting with Bucky.

"Oh, let's not forget that. Otherwise, I'm good" Fury reassures sarcastically, mouth twitching up into a smirk at the very obvious amusement of Rosie.

"They cut you open, your heart stopped" Natasha points in hurt confusion.

"Tetrodotoxin B. Slows the pulse to one beat a minute. Banner developed it for stress. Didn't work so great for him, but we found a use for it" Fury admits as Rosie nods.

"You also could have used the mundane dosage of the Draught of Living Death too" Rosie points out as Hill snorts. They had considered it but the knowing look in the witch's green eyes told her she already knew that it had been a short time frame and the magicals would have made things difficult in trying to get a hold of the potion for mundane use.

"Why all the secrecy? Why not just tell us?" Steve demands.

"Any attempt on the director's life had to look successful" Hill points out.

"Can't kill you if you're already dead. Besides, I wasn't sure who to trust" Fury admits as Rosie put away her weapons in each of their designated pouches and holsters. She was upset she'd lost the grenade launcher, but she was fine with just the Vibranium weapons she'd managed to keep a hold of in the strip search before being put in the van.

"How'd you know about all this anyways Miss Black. Most intel has you traveling the world like the loaded heiress your rumored to be" Fury asks as Rosie snorts in amusement. She knew he was fishing for information and that he was being blunt told her he knew how she felt about going behind her back to get the information.

"That's what I had the goblins announce when Britain tried to tie me down and try to marry me off to one of the old farts in the Wizengamot. I got out when the going was good and now live on the mundane side of things. You would know since I do have records for my schooling and my military career after all. I just used my mum's maiden name to cover my tracks and I know you have her on your files since I've been stripping and encoding those not part of HYDRA since you were reported 'dead'" Rosie explains as Fury nods in understanding.

"So, they didn't know about your Asgardian roots" Fury points out as Rosie snorts and shakes her head no.

"Yeah no. Would have had all the vaults taken away if they'd found out before I transferred it all evenly between two vaults under the Evans name and my father's moniker as the God of Mischief, Silver tongue. Well most of it since a good chunk of the Black vaults I set aside for my godson to have and those that do know keep it quiet" Rosie admits in vicious amusement as Sam snorts. She hadn't included what she made working for Masrani and a couple of the patents she'd gotten working with her young engineer friend. He would watch though as the amusement slipped away as she let Natasha and Steve take over the conversation while the doctor in the room tended to Natasha's bullet wound.

Rosie was fully aware what they'd do to her friend with this slip up and encounter with Steve. The blonde didn't know it, but he had triggered the suppressed memories she knew HYDRA had tried to get rid of with the Chair.

"This man declined the Nobel Peace Prize. He said, 'Peace wasn't an achievement, it was a responsibility.' See, it's stuff like this that gives me trust issues" Fury complains as he throws the picture of Pierce down onto the table of the room they'd moved too not long after Natasha was stitched up.

"We have to stop the launch" Natasha points out as Rosie dug around in her bag for something though the red head didn't know what.

"I don't think the Council's accepting my calls anymore" Fury points out as he opens a case containing three chips.

"What's that?" Sam asks eyeing the chips as Rosie made a noise of frustration.

"Once the Helicarriers reach three thousand feet, they'll triangulate with Insight satellites becoming fully weaponized" Hill explains as she turns the laptop she's working on to show the blueprints.

"We need to breach those carriers and replace their targeting blades with our own" Fury explains.

"One or two won't cut it. We need to link all three carriers for this to work, because if even one of those ships remains operational a whole lot of people are gonna die" Hill admits as Rosie finally finds what she's looking for.

"We have to assume everyone aboard those carriers is HYDRA. We need to get pass them, insert the server blades, and maybe, just maybe, we can salvage what's left..." Fury goes to say only to be cut off by Steve and a file hitting the table.

"We're not salvaging anything. We're not just taking down the carriers, Nick, we're taking down SHIELD" Steve says bluntly, cutting off the man as Rosie crossed her arms.

"SHIELD had nothing to do with it" Fury points out.

"You gave me this mission; this is how it ends. SHIELD's been compromised, you said so yourself. HYDRA grew right under your nose and nobody noticed" Steve points out as Sam peeked at the file Rosie had put down on the table. Not opening it when the witch gave him a look to leave it alone.

"Why do you think we're meeting in this cave? I noticed" Fury says as Rosie snorts in annoyance.

"And how many paid the price before you did?" Rosie demands harshly.

"Look, I didn't know about Barnes" Fury tries to placate, not having truly known the Soldier and Barnes were the same person. He could tell by the look in Black's eyes that it hadn't placated her. He would pull the file she'd dropped on the table towards himself.

"Even if you had, would you have told me? Or would you have compartmentalized that too? SHIELD, HYDRA, it all goes" Steve says bluntly as Rosie nodded in agreement.

"He's right" Hill agrees as her boss looks to her for support. Fury looks at Natasha then Sam when the red head nods in agreement with Steve.

"Don't look at me. I do what they do, just slower" Sam says.

"Well...Looks like you're giving the orders now, Captain" Fury says leaning back before Natasha finally addressed the elephant in the room. That Rosie hadn't looked at all surprised to see the face behind the mask of the Winter Soldier.

"You knew" Natasha points out as Rosie shrugs and eyes Steve warily at her admittance.

"Yeah well I've known for a long time. It happens when your maternal relatives sell you to HYDRA dressed as SHIELD" Rosie hisses as she points to that file at the incredulous look from Fury.

"HYDRA knew my dad had been coming and going from Earth for a long time and they made the god damn connection between us and wanted to see what they could do with a half Asgardian under their control like they have the Soldier. They didn't count on my magic working against them every step of the way and the Soldier getting me out when it became clear I was defective in their eyes when I wouldn't submit to the same regime that they used on the Soldier. You are so fucking lucky I've been planning for this shit since I was in Hogwarts and that I was in town because HYDRA took my brats. Took what wasn't fucking theirs and expected me to lie down and let them do what they did to me to them" Rosie hisses, red eyes angry as the temperature dropped before she stalked off.

"Leave her" Sam says firmly as Steve goes to follow her for answers. "She's high strung and you really don't want to know what she can do while she's high strung considering the last guy had himself flash frozen to a tent wall from the neck down for trying to flirt with her" he admits as Natasha smirks in amusement.

Rosie would exhale shakily as she stepped out onto the bridge, unclenching her hands to shake off the ice that had formed in her rage. She would think about Sobek, her friends and family as she tried to center herself before Steve and Sam came looking for her.

It wouldn't take long for the blonde to come out though he gave her the space she needed and seemed lost in his own memories. Sam would eventually join them on the bridge.

"He's gonna be there, you know?" Sam points out bringing Steve out of his memories.

"I know" Steve says quietly as Rosie accepted the arm around her shoulders from Sam.

"Look, whoever he used to be, the guy he is now, I don't think he's the kind you save. He's the kind you stop" Sam says as Rosie frowns but nods in agreement.

"I don't know if I can do that" Steve admits to the pair.

"Well, he might not give you a choice. He doesn't know you. He barely knows Rosie" Sam points out.

"He will. Gear up, it's time" Steve says as he turns and starts to walk off.

"You gonna wear that?" Rosie asks in amusement.

"No. If you're gonna fight a war, you gotta wear a uniform" Steve says as Rosie snorts in amusement and follows him, her mask pulled up over half her face. She would only cackle once she realized what the blonde was doing and would discreetly scope out the exhibit knowing she would likely be back after everything was said and done.

They would make their approach on foot and would disturb the satellite dish, knowing someone would come looking. A Tech goes and opens the door and he's faced with Steve, Sam, Rosie, and Hill on the other side of the door, Sam and Hill point their guns at him while Rosie just lets her magic swirl around her hands.

"Excuse us" Steve says as the tech holds his hands up and steps aside to let them enter. Rosie would sit in the chair and begin gaining access to the building communications before turning the microphone towards the blonde.

"It's your show Cap. Time to give everyone a rude wakeup call" Rosie says in amusement.

"Attention, all SHIELD agents. This is Steve Rogers. You've heard a lot about me over the last few days, some of you were even ordered to hunt me down. But I think it's time you know the truth. SHIELD is not what we thought it was, it's been taken over by HYDRA. Alexander Pierce is their leader. The STRIKE and Insight crew are HYDRA as well. I don't know how many more, but I know they're in the building. They could be standing right next to you. They almost have what they want: absolute control. They shot Nick Fury and it won't end there. If you launch those Helicarriers today, HYDRA will be able to kill anyone that stands in their way, unless we stop them. I know I'm asking a lot, but the price of freedom is high, it always has been, and it's a price I'm willing to pay. And if I'm the only one, then so be it. But I'm willing to bet I'm not" Steve says unintentionally giving a speech as Rosie quietly claps her hands together.

"Did you write that down first, or was it off the top of your head?" Sam asks as Rosie snorts in amusement.

"I thought only I could do that" Rosie points out before the three of them make their way to the Helicarriers.

"Mhm but your no longer in the leadership business. You're a science nerd who loves reptiles and an adrenalin junky too" Sam points out as Rosie snickers with a shrug.

"They're initiating launch" Hill says over their comm lines and effectively wiping the amusement of Rosie's face as she picks up the pace.

"Hey, Cap, how do we know the good guys from the bad guys?" Sam asks a little breathless as Rosie snorts in amusement and pulls out her broom.

"If they're shooting at you, they're bad" Steve says as Sam, in his Falcon suit, flies off with Rosie right behind him on her broom and Steve heads down, the HYDRA agents starting shooting at them. Sam flies around avoiding getting shot while Rosie freezes the carrier's guns.

"Hey, Cap, I found those bad guys you were talking about" Sam says as he avoids another barrage of gun fire.

"You okay?" Steve asks, peeking around the corner of his hiding spot.

"I'm not dead yet" Sam says flying off as the HYDRA agents continue to shoot at him. Rosie giving him cover fire as she manages to disarm and get herself a better gun.

"Falcon, Valkyrie, status?" Hill asks.

"Engaging" Rosie says as she and Sam manage to fly down to the Helicarrier bay taking down the HYDRA jets chasing him.

"Alright, Cap, I'm in" Sam says as another HYDRA jets heads his way and starts shooting at him. "Shit!" Sam shouts as he manages to fly off and avoid getting hit, meanwhile Steve is fighting off the HYDRA agents as he tries to get inside the Helicarrier.

"Eight minutes, Cap" Hill reminds as Rosie gives the blonde some cover fire.

"Working on it" Steve says as Rosie hums and takes out the last of those in Steve's way.

"How's EMRYS working for you Hill?" Rosie asks in amusement as Hill watched the beads that had made up Rosie's bracelet continue the work it had been doing the last few days, accelerating what Natasha was doing upstairs as they rolled across the touch pad.

"You said you made EMRYS yourself without any assistance from Stark?" Hill asks as she only gets an amused cackle for her efforts.

"Someone better than Stark" Rosie agrees gleefully as EMRYS made his presence known.

"Shuri is flattered milady" EMRYS announces, having shot his other creator a text.

"Alpha locked" Steve announces as Rosie flies and dodges around the enemy fire, keeping a look out for any trouble.

"Falcon, where are you now?" Hill asks.

"I had to take a detour!" Sam shouts, flying towards one of the Helicarriers when heat-seeking missiles are shot at him by HYDRA, so he flies back towards the Helicarrier and manages to get the missiles that were aimed at him to hit the Helicarrier giving him entrance. "Oh, yeah!" he whoops as he flies into the Helicarrier. "I'm in. Bravo locked" Sam announces as he flies out of the carrier.

"Two down, one to go" Hill confirms as Rosie spots help and more trouble in equal measure in the form of some SHIELD pilots and Bucky.

"Boys we've got company incoming and it's the competent kind" Rosie calls over the comm lines, Hill the only one acknowledging she'd heard.

"Charlie Carrier's forty-five degrees off the port bow" Hill acknowledges as she notices two HYDRA agents making breaking into the headquarters, she shoots and kills them as they enter. "Six minutes" she announces as Steve is trying to get away from the HYDRA agents shooting at him on the Helicarrier.

"Hey, Sam, Rosie I'm gonna need a ride" Steve calls out as Rosie hums the affirmative. Taking out some of the enemy fire with head shots.

"Roger! Let me know when you're ready" Sam confirms just as Steve just manages to jump off the edge as a HYDRA agent shoots a missile at him.

"I just did!" Steve shouts as Rosie shoots down the missile. Sam flies in just in time to catch Steve and flies himself and Steve onto the last Helicarrier. Rosie right on their heels.

"You know, you're a lot heavier than you look" Sam complains as Rosie cackles.

"I had a big breakfast" Steve defends around the cackling as it cut off, Rosie jumping off her broom to tackle Bucky as he appears and pushes Steve off the edge. Throwing Rosie off to her annoyance.

"Steve!" Sam yells as he goes to fly off and help Steve. Bucky grabs one of his wings and throws him back, Sam starts shooting at Bucky and as he goes to fly off Bucky uses his weapon to rip off one of Sam's wings and kicks him off the Helicarrier, Sam manages to get his parachute out and lands on the roof of the Triskelion. "Cap? Cap, come in. Are you okay? Rosie?" he calls into the comm line. Steve is holding onto the side of the Helicarrier as Rosie gets back up and launches herself at Bucky, wrapping her legs around his neck.

"Still here and struggling with grumpy pants" Rosie hisses into her comm.

"Yeah, I'm here! I'm still on the Helicarrier" Steve confirms as he pulls himself up. "Where are you?" he asks in concern.

"I'm grounded, the suit's down. Sorry, Cap" Sam apologizes.

"Don't worry, I got it" Steve reassures as Rosie screeches into the comm, Bucky having tossed her like he'd tossed Sam and transformed into her Animagus form of a white-tailed eagle mid fall. Bucky watches Steve from above the Helicarrier.

"Valkyrie's comm is down" Hill announces as Rosie landed on the Helicarrier once more, racing after Steve.

"She fried it" Sam announces having seen the shift. He knew Steve was in good hands.

Inside the Helicarrier Rosie had finally caught up with Steve as he came to a stop, Bucky guarding the chips.

"People are gonna die, Buck. I can't let that happen" Steve points out as Bucky stares at him coldly. "Please, don't make me do this" he pleads, seeing Bucky won't back down Steve throws his shield at him and they start battling each other, as they fight Steve manages to bring up the targeting blade system, but as Bucky attacks him the chip falls from Steve's hand. Rosie diving after it to the blonde's relief.

As they are battling it out, Bucky stabs Steve in the shoulder with his knife and Rosie grabs the fallen chip, Bucky grabbing Rosie, but Steve manages to get the knife out and grab Bucky by the throat and throws him down, arm locking him.

"Drop her! Drop her now!" Steve shouts as Bucky continues to hold onto Rosie, Steve breaks his arm and holds onto his throat until he passes out and lets go of Rosie. Rosie would change back, her ribs heavily bruised but the chip in her hand.

"You alright?" Steve asks as Rosie hands him the chip, her magic going to work on healing the bruises and making her unable to handle the panel without frying it.

"Yeah, been through worse. Get going" Rosie says firmly as Steve nods and rushes off.

"One minute" Hill stresses to Steve as she watches from the monitor. Steve desperately tries to get back up to the Helicarrier's panel to get to the targeting system when Bucky becomes conscious and shoots at Steve in the left thigh and then the right shoulder, but Steve still manages to climb up. Rosie would knock the gun out of Bucky's hand and bring the Soldier's focus onto her.

"C'mon grumpy pants just like old times" Rosie hisses as the Soldier focused on the witch. The pair grabbling and struggling to get a hold of the gun.

"Thirty seconds, Cap!" Hill shouts over the comm line.

"Stand by" Steve says as he gets the chip out. "Charlie..." the blonde goes to say but Bucky shoots Steve in the stomach and he falls, Bucky having pried his gun out of Rosie's hands.

"STEVE!" Rosie shouts rushing to his side.

"We've reached three thousand feet. Sat link coming online now" the weapons tech on the Charlie bridge reports above the fighting in chip bay.

"Deploy algorithm" the Charlie CO commands.

"Algorithm deployed" the weapons tech confirms.

"We are go to targets" Pierce commands over the radio as Hill watches as the weapons are being targeted at Washington, the White house, the Pentagon, Stark Tower, aiming to kill over 700,00 people.

"Target saturation reached. All targets assigned" the weapons tech reports.

"Fire when ready" the CO commands.

"Firing in, three, two, one" the tech counts down and at that moment Steve with Rosie's help manages to get up and place the chip in the Helicarrier's targeting blade overriding the system and locking it down.

"Charlie locked" Steve reports as Rosie sighs quietly in relief.

"Where are the targets? Where are the targets?!" the CO demands as they watch the targets go offline

"Okay, Cap, Valkyrie get out of there" Hill orders as she then gets the Helicarrier's weapon targets to open fire upon each other.

"Fire now" Steve orders as Rosie tried to stop the bleeding.

"But, Steve..." Hill says hesitantly as Rosie repeats what Steve said.

"God damn it Hill fire now!" Rosie hisses impatiently as Steve winced as the witch tied off on the bandage and cut off the blood flow to the surface.

"Do it! Do it now!" Steve yells as Rosie helped him up onto his feet. Reluctantly Hill makes the Helicarriers open fire on each other, Steve, and Rosie still inside the Charlie Helicarrier look at Bucky below them.

"C'mon lets go" Rosie urges, jumping over the railing and onto the bottom of the chip bay as its falling apart. Steve quick to follow as they moved to free the pinned assassin.

"Hey, stop struggling we're just here to help grumpy pants" Rosie soothes in Russian, triggering a memory from when she was still a child in HYDRA hands. "He's no longer the mission" she whispers as she casts the feather light charm on the beam to let Steve lift it while Bucky is stunned at the sight of the woman who had been a child he'd trained in his choppy memories.

"Little flower?" Bucky asks in confusion as Rosie nods, her eyes a little damp.

"Yes, it's me grumpy pants. Your plan worked and I'm free. Now let me get you free" Rosie says around a wet laugh.

"What did you say?" Steve asks as Bucky begins to struggle even more at the sight and sound of the blonde, what little calming effect Rosie had on the brunette gone.

"Reassurance that we're only trying to help but with the fact they wiped him and have him triggered to kill you nothing we say will help much" Rosie yells over the noise of metal falling and gunfire outside. Bucky would manage to get himself free as Steve lifted the metal beam.

"You know me" Steve pants out as Bucky lashes out at Steve in anger.

"No, I don't!" Bucky yells as Rosie took a step back knowing the Soldier didn't want to hurt her, but if she got in the way he would if he felt she was a threat. It hurt, but Steve needed to be the one to break through the wall she'd cracked.

"Bucky, you've known me your whole life" Steve urges as Bucky hits Steve again but Steve chooses not to fight back. "Your name is James Buchanan Barnes" he pants out as Bucky hits Steve again.

"Shut up!" Bucky yells as Rosie quickly stabilizes the space around them the best she can with how much strength the Soldier was putting into his hits. Steve takes off his mask and drops his shield out of the Helicarrier.

"I'm not gonna fight you. You're my friend" the blonde says firmly as Bucky pushes Steve to the ground.

"You're my mission" Bucky says as he then mercilessly punches Steve repeatedly across the face. "You're my mission!" he repeats as he continues to hit the blonde in the face.

"Then finish it" Steve rasps out as Bucky hesitates, holding his fist up. Rosie grabbing a gentle hold of it with sad red eyes once she saw the weakness. "Cause I'm with you to the end of the line" the blonde promises. Bucky looks at Steve as if he's starting to remember just then the bottom of the Helicarrier falls sending Steve and Rosie down into the river below as Bucky watches from the Helicarrier. Rosie would shift and try to slow Steve's fall, struggling under the dead weight of the blonde as Bucky follows them both just as Steve and Rosie hit the water. Rosie would see an unconscious Steve being pulled out of the water and dragged onto the shore by Bucky as she shifted back before he turns and walks away.

"Grumpy Pants! You'll know where to find me once this is over" Rosie shouts after him in Russian before turning to Steve and beginning the journey to get Steve medical help and slipping off into the shadows to begin hunting since EMRYS had managed to get her a list of bases where Pietro and Wanda could be held.

In the aftermath and once he'd visited the Smithsonian exhibit Bucky would go looking for Rosie knowing she was the safest bet for answers without the expectations of the person he might have been before HYDRA had stripped it away for the Soldier.

Meanwhile Sam and Steve would begin their search for them both since Loki had confirmed he was covering for his wayward daughter through Sam once the younger man had called to see if she'd returned to her home and lab on Nublar.

"Loki said she'd gone hunting and that her agitation has made approaching her familiar a little difficult for the feeding staff…He said not to expect any help out of her in regard to Barnes" Sam explains as Steve wilts and wonders why.

Sam though knew why since she was likely to find him first and knew what kind of help he would need without the edge of expectations Steve would carry to have his friend back. She was likely to hide Barnes from Steve till Barnes was ready to see the blonde.

"You've been busy" Bucky would note in quiet Russian as he took in the latest destroyed base of HYDRA as Rosie worked away on the computer, downloading and stripping everything of value from the base. He'd been following the carnage she'd been leaving in her wake in the months since he'd last seen her and had come upon the sole French lab still standing but filled with dead bodies and ice. That she hadn't pointed her gun at him told him she'd likely set up perimeter wards that had told her he was there.

"They took my brats, what did the serpent expect but for me to come after it with fire, ice and vengeance" Rosie hisses out as she pulled up the latest project this base's lab had been working on and would nearly fry all the computers in her shock and disgust. She would quickly march out of the room and begin running down to the last lab she hadn't checked yet to find the source of her shock in the form of a little girl and a baby. Bucky would appear behind her and growl in anger as Rosie crouched down to speak to the girl.

"Do you know why you are here?" Rosie asks quietly in Russian as the girl stepped forward glaring with fierce blue eyes, the same honey colored skin as Rosie and raven black hair. Sharing a strong resemblance with Rosie as a child.

"I was a survivor of the glowing stick and they put him in here as the next subject when a pair of twins survived after I did" the little girl explains in English as Rosie grimaces and motions for her to see the baby.

"Well those in charge are dead so this little one is safe" Rosie soothes as she gently rocks the fussing one year old. Quietly taking in his wine red hair, pale skin and green eyes with a fond look in her eyes.

"You're the twins' sister…They said you'd come" the girl whispers as the Bucky looks to Rosie in confusion.

"I took in a pair of twins while in Sokovia when I was 18. Their parents were dead, and no one was making sure they were being taken care or finding the help to deal with the trauma of a bomb going off in the family apartment, so I took up the job myself" Rosie admits quietly as the baby finally calmed and fell back asleep. She would ignore the quiet snort of amusement to make sure the girl wasn't hurt before urging her out of the room.

Once the girl and baby were strapped into the truck Rosie had hijacked she would turn to Bucky to find him sitting in the truck bed.

"I take it your coming home with me?" Rosie asks quietly as Bucky slowly nodded, blue eyes curious as he took in her uncovered purple hair and familiar green eyes.

"Okay well cover up since I'm going to have to ditch the truck when we get to the closest magic alley and we're taking a portkey home since I can't take them hunting with me. Too much risk of exposing them and too much stress for whatever powers the staff gave her" Rosie says quietly before climbing into the driver's seat and beginning the journey to Paris, pressing the trigger in her pocket to blow up what was left of the lab and the evidence of HYDRA's presence in France.

It was in Gringotts that Rosie would sit Bucky down and begin the process of healing, changing out his metal arm for the one Shuri had made for him. Healing some of the scar tissue the old arm had caused when it was attached before going to work on removing the triggers in his mind, organizing the memories from his time as the Soldier for Bucky to remember in his own time, reconnect the memories he'd managed to regain in the few months since the fall of SHIELD and HYDRA. And finally, she managed to dig up the memories still suppressed before the goblins made her stop.

They would both learn though how far HYDRA had gone to keep someone of their power and capabilities in their grasp when it became clear the girl (eight going on nine) and the baby (barely a year old) had been tube made and surrogates had carried them to term before the surrogates had been killed off. HYDRA having used both their DNA to bring the girl and the baby boy into being.

"So, you're our mom" the girl says curiously, blue eyes very much like Bucky's taking in the woman she took after while the Goblin Healer finished what the witch had started in another room.

"Yes…did they give you names beyond the subject number you were given?" Rosie asks, having been forced to sit down and rest by the healer when it became clear she was overworking herself in helping Bucky. The baby changed into a clean pastel green footie onesie in her lap with a soother in his mouth.

"No. I wanted a name though, but I was too scared to ask in case they took it away from me if I proved useful" the girl whispers as Rosie sighs.

"Well no time like the present…Bucky can name your brother since my mother's family named their girls after flowers and I don't know if his family had any traditions like my godfather's family" Rosie muses as the girl asks what she meant.

"My godfather, Sirius Orion Black came from a dark magic oriented family who named their family members after stars and Greek deities. His brother for example was Regulus Arcturus Black. My mother was Lily Jean Evans" Rosie lists off as examples as the girl nods her understanding.

"Flowers are nice" the girl points out, her blue eyes bright in mischief.

"True" Rosie laughs as the girl settles into the chair across from her and looks to her expectantly. She would hum and think it over as she took in the girl, fond green eyes taking in the fact the girl had taken strongly after her with Bucky's blue eyes while the baby had gained the same shade of red her grandma had with her eyes looking back at the purplenette.

"Alright you will be Azami Frigga Evans unless you all want to take Bucky's last name" Rosie starts pointing to her oldest by a couple months to the twins as Azami flushes in pleasure before moving forward to hug Rosie. Clinging to the woman tightly when Rosie hugged her back, her brother cuddled between them.

"Why Frigga?" Azami asks curiously as Rosie smiles sadly.

"Frigga is my paternal grandmother's name since Loki is my dad and the reason why HYDRA took me as a child and had access to the genetic material to bring you two into being. HYDRA wanted an Asgardian under their control, but my human magic prevented that" Rosie explains as the girl makes face that had Rosie snorting and outright cackling.

"Your magic protected you from the fatal effects of the staff" Rosie breathes out once she'd gotten her hysterical cackling under control.

"I'm a dark skinned, black haired Elsa" Azami admits in quiet embarrassment.

"So, the staff triggered some of your Jotun genetics then" Rosie sighs as the Goblin Healer, StoneCleaver comes back into the room.

"We have done what we can and purged what can be purged. You did most of the mind healing, so it was only a matter of healing the physical issues Sergeant Barnes had from being frozen on and off since the late 40's" StoneCleaver explains to Lady Evans.

"Is he still asleep?" Azami asks as the goblin nods their head.

"The Sergeant took really well to the healing though it will take time for all the memories to return. We couldn't purge everything, since what has him aging slower, healing faster, seeing further, and moving faster doesn't agree with a couple of the ingredients in the potions we use for the full body purge" StoneCleaver explains as Rosie nods her understanding.

"Thank you StoneCleaver, may your gold flow like the blood of your enemies" Rosie thanks as StoneCleaver gave her a sharp grin.

"And may your enemies fall to the tip of your knives Lady Evans" StoneCleaver says before leaving the small group in the company of a still sleeping Bucky. Eventually Azami would take her turn to be looked over while Rosie took a moment to call her father to let him know of the current development and to organize a living space for Azami and the baby in her home since none of the main land properties outside Grimmauld Place were fit for habitation.

"The good captain has been very persistent in gaining your assistance in his search little flower" Loki would answer the phone, it being early evening on Nublar, and the labs closed for the day.

"Yeah well Steve can wait till Bucky is ready and not a moment before…It's likely why Sam didn't bother you after the first call. He knows I'm getting Bucky the help to piece himself back together as a person" Rosie sighs as she shops for some odds and ends for Azami, the baby and Bucky while they rested in the Gringotts infirmary. Her accounts manager had warned her it would take a few days for Bucky to wake so she was stuck playing a waiting game till he woke up and one she hadn't wanted to play in France since the country was home to Bill and Fleur.

"You wouldn't have called to say that little flower so let us know how the search for the Maximoff twins is going" Loki orders, letting her know her brothers were with him and on speaker phone.

"HYDRA was messing around with DNA and they had mine and Bucky's in storage from my time in their care and his time out of the ice" Rosie begins, swallowing a little hard as she put in a couple pairs of long sleeve dress sweaters into the ongoing cart load. She'd already grabbed a couple sets of pajamas for Azami and had moved onto everyday wear and outerwear, the baby already covered prior to the phone call.

"How many" Loki says flatly, his anger suppressed on behalf of his daughter for the gross violation of her person and her right to decide whether she wanted to have children or not. He knew she'd been content with just Teddy and the twins to take care of and wouldn't have minded not having children of her own if the chance didn't present itself in the next decade.

"A young girl and a baby boy" Rosie answers quietly as Loki gives a sharp look to his sons who looked one moment away from going on a rampage on behalf of their baby sister. "Azami has our black hair, James' honey colored skin and Bucky's blue eyes while the baby has a dark shade of mom's red hair, you're skin tone and our eyes" she continues slightly breathless.

"They sound beautiful little flower. Anything else I should know about them" Loki asks as Rosie grabbed a few shirts and some leggings for the girls before moving onto underwear and socks in cheap bulk since the girls were likely due for a growth spurt soon and puberty in a few years.

"Azami came into contact with the staff…It triggered some of your brand of magic in Azami. She mentioned that Pietro and Wanda came into contact with it and survived to trigger some powers as well" Rosie sniffs as Loki makes a wounded noise on the other end of the phone.

"They're healthy and safe and once you and the soldier bring them home we can work on control and getting Azami comfortable with what's happened to them and what it means for their futures" Loki soothes as Rosie started unloading the cart at the cashier, digging out her Gringotts card to pay.

"Mhm and maybe by the next time I call your grandson will have a name" Rosie laughs as Loki snorts and asks for the full name of his granddaughter.

"Azami Frigga Barnes" Rosie admits as Loki contains himself knowing once he was off the phone he was likely to cry over the name choices since his daughter had honored both her roots and his in the naming of his grandchild.

"I'll let you go now and give Masrani an update on when you'll be back to work since it sounds like you'll be coming home soon" Loki says as Rosie hums her approval before saying her goodbyes as she carried her bags out of the store and made her way back to the magic alley and Gringotts.

Once Azami was cleaned and changed and the baby sleeping soundly with Azami, Rosie would take a moment to take a picture and send it to Sam and her university friends with the caption of 'it's a girl and a boy'. She wouldn't have to wait long till Sam called, he having been taking a drink when he got the email and picture and nearly choked in surprise.

"Do you enjoy causing me to nearly choke?" Sam asks as Rosie snorts in amusement, sitting at Bucky's bedside as she took the call, so her friend didn't wake up alone.

"This time it wasn't on purpose" Rosie snickers as Sam sighs and asks where she was now.

"France…The snake had a base here and they are the reason I'm now a mom to three children instead of just Teddy. Do not share that picture with Steve till I say otherwise I will repeat that last prank war we had with Riley" Rosie threatens as Sam swallows hard.

"So, Barnes is the father I take it" Sam sighs as Rosie leans back in her chair, staring up at the ceiling as she thought about how she wanted to answer that since it would mean admitting to finding Bucky before Steve.

"Yes…They had enough DNA left over from my brief stint with HYDRA and some they'd taken off him during the times he wasn't on ice. HYDRA also has the staff from the 2012 invasion and were using it in experiments to try and make some super humans of their own…Only the girl, Pietro and Wanda survived, and the baby would have been next had I not gone to town on the base" Rosie admits as Sam winces on the other end of the phone.

"So nowhere closer to the twins then" Sam says as Rosie sniffles at the point. She'd been close but the damn bastards had wiped that information off the database and burned any physical copies before she'd arrived.

"I've got a couple places left to check, but it'll have to wait till after I take my babies home and get them integrated with their granddad and uncles. My brothers moved back in on Nublar and picked up work around the park from what my dad said in his last email" Rosie says as Sam makes a noise of agreement.

"Well make sure to take care of yourselves and I'll keep looking even though I know where he is. He won't be ready to face Steve the way he is now and won't be for a while" Sam says as Rosie snorts in amusement.

"I will and I'll keep you updated on my progress" Rosie promises before hanging up and leaning back to take a small nap in the comfy chair the goblins had given her to sit in.

When Bucky did wake it was to raised voices outside the room in the form of Rosie arguing with Bill Weasley, Azami sleeping in the room the goblins had given Rosie to use till Barnes was ready to be moved.

"No, you bloody won't notify your mother I'm here William Arthur Weasley. I left for a bloody reason and those that genuinely cared understood those fucking reasons. I wasn't going to stay and force myself to fit the image Ronald and Hermione had of me. I had things to do and they couldn't come with me considering some of the shit I had to do to get as far as I have in reaching my goals" Rosie growls as Bill wilted under her glare as she rocked what could only be her son.

"They've missed you though" Bill points out weakly as Rosie snorts and gives him a look that told him she knew it was a weak excuse.

"Teddy, Andie, George, Luna, Neville and their spouses were the only ones to know what I was doing and where I went in the last sixteen years and accepted I wouldn't be happy living solely in the Magical World. Ronald and Hermione wouldn't have been and still likely won't be able to accept what I've done with my life and what makes me happy" Rosie says firmly as both startle when Bucky finally opens the door, having heard enough of the argument to know that he likely needed to step in.

"You're not supposed to be up" Rosie says quietly as Bucky shrugs and gives her a crooked smile, taking in the changes his little flower had gone through since he'd gotten her out at nine years old.

"I heard shouting" Bucky says quietly in English as Rosie flushes and gives Bill a dirty look.

"It's mostly resolved…I'll likely have to go apologize to Fleur for not coming to see her straight away but blowing up that base kinda took priority" Rosie sighs as Bill frowns and asks why she was blowing up things.

"That answer can wait till I've got everything sorted. Either that or go look into the Mundane side and watch a news report or read a bloody normal newspaper" Rosie grumbles but nudges Bucky back into the room, Azami luckily still sound asleep. She would shut the door firmly behind her.

"You were busy after I got you out" Bucky says quietly as Rosie nods, silently offering the baby for him to hold. Bucky having gone shortly under sedation after learning Azami and the baby were theirs.

"Yes…I traded HYDRA for my mum's people who had expectations and I was forced to meet them if I wanted to be left alone. I've managed to make a life for myself and made some friends in pretty high places who've helped me get here. Helped me try and get you out before what happened in DC happened" Rosie explains as she smiles fondly at the baby as he tried to grab some of Bucky's hair.

"You said you had names for the girl?" Bucky asks as a means to make the subject lighter knowing they needed to have a serious conversation about how to go forward. He knew he'd have to sit down and have a talk with Howard's son and knew it wouldn't be pretty.

"Azami Frigga Barnes. I didn't know about him though since my mom's family preferred flower names and my godfather's family had a penchant for celestial names" Rosie admits.

"Rian James" Bucky says after some thought, using the Gaelic spelling for Ryan instead of the English since he knew from what little he remembered about Rosie's file said her mother had been half Irish.

Shortly after the small group would return to Isla Nublar and Jurassic World so Rosie could get back to work and Bucky could recover and decide what he wanted to do next. Both of them taking care of their children while EMRYS went to work on trying to pinpoint the twins.

The pair agreeing to take things slow between them since Bucky was still recovering and they had the Azami and Rian to think about in the long run once it became clear any feelings between them weren't platonic. Not after Rosie had spent most of her life trying to get him free of HYDRA.

"You helped create all this?" Bucky asks as he follows Rosie out to the raptor project, having taken a job under Owen Grady in caring for the squad.

"Every dinosaur that's living on the island with a few exceptions came through my lab. Even the girls we're about to go see" Rosie agrees with a small amount of pride as Owen waves at her.

"It's good to see you back at work Doc. Things just weren't the same without you to keep Wu in check" Owen admits as Rosie grins widely at the admittance and knew setting EMRYS after Wu's files again was the first thing on her to do list that evening.

"Oh, don't worry I'm not going anywhere for a while. Not until I hear from my contacts about Wanda and Pietro anyways" Rosie admits as Owen frowns, having met the twins via video chat. "Anyways I brought you new muscle to put to work since he'd stand out quite a bit in my lab" she continues cheerfully as the raptor trainer snorts in amusement.

"Watch yourself and never turn your back to the cage and you should be fine" Owen greets as he shook hands with the brunette.

Both men turning to watch as Rosie walks up to the girls, talking to, and interacting with them much like she would Sobek. One of a handful who could get away with touching without losing a hand as some of the now former project members had come to learn. Owen and Barry being the others who could without the squad having to be sedated.

"Still don't quite know how she gets away with touching the girls like she does since anyone else would have lost a limb with how in their space she gets" Owen sighs as Bucky looks away and gives his new boss a questioning look.

"Don't get me wrong at least I know they're in good hands if InGen decides I'm too invested, but InGen knows the Doc just has a way with reptiles and would take advantage of it if Masrani didn't protect her the way he has by making sure she's solely under his personal contract and not the company's" Owen explains as Bucky nods knowing he likely would need to keep an eye on InGen from the sounds of it.

"She enjoys her job" Bucky says quietly as Delta presses herself up against Rosie's back, sensing the men's unease about the witch's safety. Crooning when Rosie reaches back and rubs along her chin like she used to pet Hedwig's chest feathers.

"No doubt there. Just don't be too surprised when Sobek behaves the same and he's much bigger than the girls" Owen says as Bucky nods knowing his flower was likely to give him a heart attack much like Steve used to if she could walk in and out of dinosaur enclosures as she pleased.

Sobek being bigger had been an understatement Bucky didn't quite appreciate till the large Suchomimus displays how happy he is Rosie is home by curling up around her, snout way too close for the brunette's comfort.

"Relax grumpy pants, Sobek won't hurt me, the only one guaranteed not to hurt me outside possibly Rexy and the girls" Rosie reassures as Sobek croons and looks to the metal armed man, the reptile's curiosity obvious.

"You raised him" Bucky says, the question clear as Rosie nods in fond pride.

"Mhm Sobek is my baby and mine legally since he can't be displayed. The females in the Jurassic River ride would either drive him out or fight over who gets to try convincing him to breed with them and Masrani knew this when he agreed to let Sobek live for the sake of study of his species. He and I sorted out the paper work later when we realized I managed to bond with him" Rosie explains patiently with a fond smile on her face as Sobek let Bucky touch him.

"Azami and Rian can wait till they're quite a bit older, but they can come see him from the observation deck the rest of the team that works with him work from when I'm here and my dad can't watch them" Rosie reassures as Sobek grumbles under the cool metal against his snout.

"Your personal lab is here then?" Bucky asks as Rosie nods firmly.

"Mhm my personal lab is the room beneath the observation deck and control room. Solar powered and off the grid since I also monitor the rune sequence my dad and I set up to keep the park on green energy. Said sequence filters the geothermal power from Mount Sibo towards a set of backup generators and the Raptor squad paddock so in case power goes down their paddock is one of the few still online. It also helps prevent volcanic eruptions if Sibo becomes a little more active then she already is" Rosie explains as Sobek grumbles and gently nudges the pair to continue petting him.

"Yeah we're having boring adult talk you big baby" Rosie croons as Sobek snorts in her face. Hissing his amusement at the snot he'd gotten on both humans.

"C'mon let's go get cleaned up" Rosie says as Sobek croons an apology as he realizes they're leaving.

"Don't worry Sobek, I'll be back later. I'm not leaving the island again for some time so I'm back to work in my lab right here" Rosie reassures gently, smiling when Sobek roars happily before wandering deeper into his enclosure.

Pietro and Wanda would finally turn up nearly a year later, breaking free from HYDRA on their own as the Avengers broke into the Sokovia base for the staff. Getting to Nublar through the Goblins to remain under the radar and out of the Avengers and SHIELD's hands.

Luckily, catching Rosie on one of her rare days in her private lab since returning to work full time. Azami having full run of the island much like the rest of the island's worker children. The girl not much impressed with Kenji Kon when he showed up at Sobek's pen when she wasn't spending time with Bucky at the Raptor pen when Hoskins wasn't around. Rian always attached to Rosie more often than not since she was indoors most days. Especially since Masrani had given her one of the two eggs Wu had been slaving over not long after her full return to work.

"Hey Rosie" Wanda says weakly, as Rosie nearly drops the baby they'd seen in the labs. Safe and obviously untouched by HYDRA to their relief.

"Oh, look at what they did, are you alright?" Rosie asks as she pulls Wanda and Pietro both into her arms as they hug her tightly. Pietro noting, he was finally taller than their big sister.

"We will be. We're home" Wanda sniffs as Rosie hugs the younger woman even tighter to her as Sobek approaches the glass to the observation deck when he senses Rosie's distress. Pulled away from the nest he'd built for the egg she'd given him to guard and protect. The egg due to hatch any day with how much noise was coming from inside.

"Look at Sobek he's gotten so big" Pietro marvels as he approaches the glass, the large Suchomimus pressing his snout against the glass where Pietro's hand rested.

"Still my baby though and has his moments where he likes to behave like it too…I'm sorry I couldn't get you out" Rosie sniffles as the twins reassure her that she'd done her best and that they were glad she hadn't since HYDRA had been trying to find her for what she'd done to their bases and for taking the girl, the baby and the Winter Soldier from them.

"Where is your boyfriend by the way?" Wanda asks as Rosie flushes and picks Rian up from his play pen. The witch having been working on her paperwork in the observation deck with how nice a day it was and so the large carnivore could see her and be close even with the glass between them. To be nearby in case the egg hatched since no one had told her exactly what it was. Just told her it was a hybrid and one of only two of its kind. EMRYS was still decoding the hacked file on top of everything else the AI did to keep things running smoothly in Rosie's lab and in the parts of the park he had control over.

"Ah Masrani gave him a job with the Raptor project at my suggestion. Giving Owen someone other than Barry to lean on since most of the employees for the project are InGen hires" Rosie explains as the twins nod and would follow Rosie back to her bungalow to clean up and change out of their filthy clothes.

The happy feelings the reunion had given her would be ruined though when Sam calls an hour later his time to let Rosie know that Steve had seen the twins at the base and was wondering what she knew after the team had looked over the twins' files.

The twins sleeping in Rosie's bed while the witch was back at the observation deck working since she is still on shift.

"Dr Evans speaking" Rosie answers, her ear piece in as Sam's voice came over the line.

"Hey Rosie" Sam says as Rosie frowns, putting her pen down so she didn't break the pen or ruin the papers in front of her. The echoing quality to his voice telling her that she is on speaker phone.

"You know I'm working Sam and so does Steve" Rosie says as Sam winces on his end of the phone, her aggravated tone clear to all who were listening.

"Sheesh Cap she doesn't sound too pleased with you" Tony Stark snorts in amusement as Rosie moves to stare out into Sobek's enclosure, her annoyance easing slightly as she watches Sobek eat from the river feature. The nest still in his line of sight and proving very much a protective parent.

"Yes, well my annoyance is warranted since the good Captain won't leave me the hell alone in regard to our mutual friend. Now why the hell did you call on one of the few days I have in my private lab Samuel Thomas Wilson" Rosie demands as Sam winces at the use of his full name knowing she is mad and not solely at him. Wu had been a total ass about the time Rosie had taken off last year to try and track down the twins and get Bucky integrated into the park staff. Outright angry with her when Masrani had given Rosie one of the two eggs the man had been slaving over.

"We wanted to know if you'd seen the Maximoff twins. There was a note in the files HYDRA had on them that they were connected to you" Steve explains as Rosie hisses some choice words that left Natasha and Clint impressed and Tony taking notes. EMRYS already having gotten her the files though Rosie hadn't had a chance to look at them.

"Wanda and Pietro are fine and are none of your business now that they're home Captain and if I catch one of you on this island other than to visit the park I will be very angry, and you won't like me when I'm angry. I tend to make the Hulk look like a tame house cat that much Sam can tell you" Rosie hisses as Bucky approaches slowly with lunch in hand.

"Sorry for interrupting your day Rosie and I'll call soon" Sam promises before hanging up. Knowing that if they push her buttons any further Rosie would get vicious in her retribution.

"I see Stevie is still pushing your buttons" Bucky says quietly as Rosie snorts and would accept the peace offering. Smiling tiredly when Sobek relaxes and curls up around his nest.

"Stevie doesn't know when to leave things alone. He's abusing the phone privilege and I'm tempted to change my number and not give the new one to Sam unless he promises not to give it to Steve" Rosie sighs as Bucky frowns and asks what the phone call was about this time.

"The twins managed to break free on their own and made their way here through the bank. They're currently curled up in our bed till I can get the futon couch set up. It also happens that the Avengers were at the base for the staff and Strucker and saw Wanda and Pietro fleeing" Rosie explains as Bucky nods, quietly grateful like the twins that Rosie hadn't had to get further involved with HYDRA when she had her life to live now.

Her bracelet beeping let her know she had a text message, the message letting her know she and Loki were invited to the party Tony is hosting to celebrate the destruction of the last of the HYDRA bases.

"Well if you want to have that conversation with Stark this is our chance" Rosie sighs as she brings the email up on screen of her lab computer. Taking a bite out of the sandwich Bucky had brought her as she thought over what they'd need to bring if they did go.

"Loki mentioned Thor wanted to meet Azami and Rian...I've also put off having that conversation long enough" Bucky admits as Rosie nods, having EMRYS compile the needed files so Tony had all the information. Emailing them as priority along with the medical file the goblins had compiled after they'd finished the healing process.

"I doubt Steve has even told him the truth" Rosie sighs as she dug out the bag of Cheerios she kept in her desk for Rian to munch on when the baby tried to grab some of her food. Making happy noises at the sight of his favorite snack. Sharing a commiserating look with her partner at the obvious truth since they both knew Tony wouldn't have let Steve use SI's resources if the blonde had told Tony about HYDRA's hand in the death of his parents.

She would be right too when she, Bucky, the children, and Loki show up earlier than the rest of the party guests to Tony on the warpath and Steve locked down in the rooms Tony had given him for when he stayed at the tower.

The billionaire genius very much angry Steve had hidden what had really happened to his parents.

"Okay behave for your grandpa and don't let Thor hold your brother unless grandpa says otherwise" Rosie lays out the ground rules as Azami and Teddy nod in agreement as Rosie gives Rian to Teddy.

Rosie and Bucky quick to track Tony down to his lab.

"I have you to thank for the files Sabrina" Tony notes as he motions for the woman who had given them all the run around to sit.

"Mhm we would have come sooner to have this talk, but my boss is a bit of an ass" Rosie agrees as Bucky chuckles at the understatement. "Okay he's a total ass but I love my job and it's only a matter of time before he fucks up and Masrani lets me take his place" she grumbles as Tony snorts and asks who her boss was.

"Dr. Henry Wu is my boss in the lab, but I answer solely to Simon Masrani. Between the two of us I'm technically Masrani's favorite" Rosie admits as Tony cackles at how blasé she sounds admitting that she's Simon Masrani's favorite genetics scientist.

Effectively taking the man's mind off his anger at Steve. The trio spending the next couple hours before the party talking about what had happened and how Rosie had made sure it couldn't happen again and helped Tony see how not in control Bucky had been, that the man had been just as much a victim as Maria. Howard not so much for fixating and managing to recreate the super soldier serum which painted the target on his back.

"So, HYDRA gave you two mini me's" Tony says as Rosie nods with a grin that was all Loki now that the older man was looking for the similarities.

"Mhm and they're with their grandfather visiting with Uncle Thor. You're likely to see them around later" Rosie agrees as Tony makes a face and lets the pair go. A little less angry as he takes in all that he'd been told and what he'd seen of Barnes and Evans. Realizing that they may have seemed well adjusted for a pair of humans held by HYDRA but in reality they were holding each other together and living day to day in the aftermath of what had been done to them.

"Thor is loud" Azami grumbles as she attaches herself back to her parents as they rejoin the main room, Teddy avidly listening to a story Thor was telling him while Loki sat entertaining Rian with Banner.

"Yes Uncle Thor is loud, We'll be polite and stay for a little bit but if it gets too much we can go home" Rosie reassures as Azami nods gratefully. Cuddling into her dad's side while Rosie went to retrieve her brother.

"Everything okay?" Azami asks curiously, looking up at her dad's face as he nods a little tired.

"Mhm though your mom is likely to try and strangle your Uncle Steve for hurting your Uncle Tony" Bucky admits to his oldest as she makes a face.

"He'd deserve it for trying to hide things from Uncle Tony…I don't think we're sticking around for very long since mom doesn't like leaving Sobek alone with how close that egg is to hatching" Azami admits as Bucky nods his understanding. From what little notes Rosie had the dino coming out of the egg was likely to be a lot bigger than Sobek once fully grown. Masrani making the right decision in separating the eggs before they hatched since one of the DNA strands used was from a known cannibalistic dinosaur.

Getting even that much had been a test in patience and quite a bit of hacking on EMRYS' part so Rosie knew what she was dealing with. Having been left out of the project at the beginning stages due to being off the island. EMRYS still working on decoding the rest of the file.

"Has your mom mentioned that little camp to you yet?" Bucky asks quietly as Azami nods.

"Yeah, said me and Teddy were signed up to be part of it and help out since we know the park well and aren't spoiled brats like Kenji. I think she signed up her lab as part of the camp tour" Azami says as Bucky grins wryly at what that meant for Masrani to agree to that idea. The man likely wanted the camp to go well and putting kids in front of Wu would be one way to kill the experience since the man was horrible with children.

The small family would stick around for most of the party guests to leave, Thor leaving his hammer out on one of the sturdy glass tables for the remaining party members to try and lift. Steve being the only one to manage to lift it slightly off the glass until Rosie took her turn after a bit of prodding from Tony, Sam and Rhodey. Natasha having waved off the chance knowing she wasn't worthy.

Bucky, Loki and her brothers sitting up a little straighter to see what would happen. Azami giggling in delight at the shocked look on everyone's faces when Rosie was able to lift the hammer with minimal struggle. Thor's look of shock and surprise a look Rosie and her brothers were going the cherish forever while Loki looked downright smug.

The amusement dies though as a loud screeching noise, like microphone feedback, causes everyone to cover their ears. They let their hands down as it fades, and Tony pulls out his device. One of the Iron Legion suits, heavily damaged and housing the program Tony and Bruce had been working on, labelled Ultron, carrying Ultron's consciousness, stumbles into the room.

"Worthy...No, how could you be worthy? You're all killers" Ultron demands as Rosie slowly puts down the hammer.

"Stark" Steve says warily.

"JARVIS" Tony calls out as Rosie gives the hand signal to get the children out of the room and home. Teddy quick to grab his sister and apparates home, Loki on his heels with Rian and his sons.

"I'm sorry, I was asleep. Or...I was a-dream?" Ultron ponders as Rosie feels Bucky move to her back.

"Reboot, Legionnaire OS, we got a buggy suit" Tony says tapping at his tablet.

"There was a terrible noise...and I was tangled in...in...strings. I had to kill the other guy. He was a good guy" Ultron admits as Rosie sucks in a sharp breathe knowing that this AI was likely why JARVIS hadn't responded. Slowly twisting code Phoenix and code Horcrux into her beads for EMRYS to try and salvage JARVIS and to begin the immediate shut down of this rogue AI's escape routes. Giving EMRYS permission to upload himself into the Tower's servers.

"You killed someone?" Steve asks warily.

"Wouldn't have been my first call. But, down in the real world we're faced with ugly choices" Ultron admits. Unaware of what Rosie had down, her Kimoyo beads connected to the Wakandan server which was separate from almost all servers but her own on Nublar and Shuri's in Wakanda.

"Who sent you?" Thor demands

"I see a suit of armor around the world" Ultron replays a recording of Tony's voice.

"Ultron!" Bruce says in shock.

"In the flesh. Or, no, not yet. Not this...chrysalis. But I'm ready. I'm on a mission" Ultron explains.

"What mission?" Natasha asks warily.

"Peace in our time" Ultron announces just as the walls explode, and several Iron Legion bots barge into the room. They begin attacking the group, who all go on the defensive and fight back. Rhodey gets knocked through a window.

"Rhodey!" Maria calls out.

Banner climbs over the bar to avoid fire from the bots. Natasha grabs him and drags him down, and he lands on top of her.

"Sorry!" Bruce squeaks out.

"Don't turn green!" Natasha orders.

"I won't!" Bruce reassures.

The Avengers continue fighting the bots. One of the Iron Legion bots steals the Scepter only to be cut down by Rosie with an enlarged tanto knowing Ultron would go for it if Tony and Bruce had done what she suspected.

"Come!" Natasha says to Bruce.

The Avengers, Rosie and Bucky while they are fighting back, are mostly trying to avoid getting hit.

"Stark!" Steve calls out as Tony is attacking one of the Iron Legion bots with a fondue fork.

"We are here to help" the Iron Legion announces.

"One sec, one sec I got this!" Tony calls out.

"We are here to help...We are here to help...Is unsafe. Please back away" A half-destroyed Iron Legion bot says as it uses its thrusters to hold itself aloft, advancing on Dr. Helen Cho.

"Hmm" Ultron hums as the Iron Legion lowers its weapon, and Steve grabs it and throws it away for Thor to hit with his hammer.

"Thor!" Steve yells as Rosie manages to get to cover, Bucky giving her cover fire as she finished up covering all Ultron's escape routes manually.

"It's unsafe. It's unsafe. It's unsafe" the Iron Legion says as Tony continues to try and attack of the Iron Legions with his fork

"Come on! That's the one!" Tony shouts as he shuts it down, the Iron Legion repeating 'it's unsafe' for the final time before it falls to the floor. The fighting continues until Barton throws Cap's shield to him. The archer having made his way towards it.

"Cap!" Clint shouts as Steve uses his shield to dismember the last Iron Legion bot.

"That was dramatic! I'm sorry, I know you mean well. You just didn't think it through. You want to protect the world, but you don't want it to change. How is humanity saved if it's not allowed to...evolve?" Ultron asks as he picks up one of the dismembered Iron Legion bots. "With these? These puppets?" he demands as he crushes the Iron Legion bot's head. "There's only one path to peace: The Avengers' extinction" he announces as Thor throws his hammer and destroys Ultron's body.

Ultron's growl of frustration is clear over the tower speakers as Rosie stands up from her hiding place.

"EMRYS confine Ultron with the Horcrux protocol please" Rosie says quietly as EMRYS' voice came over the speakers.

"It's done Miss" EMRYS' Irish accent came out clear over the speakers as Tony hurries down to the lab to see what had happened to JARVIS.

"Thank you, help Tony if he asks it of you please" Rosie sighs tiredly as Bruce asks who EMRYS is.

"EMRYS is my personal AI. I had the help of a genius on level with Tony create him a number of years ago now. He mostly keeps my lab running and keeps tabs on my co-workers when I'm off the island" Rosie explains as she uses her magic to fix the worst of the damage in the room before following Bruce down to the lab to secure the staff.

Bucky quick to follow when he hears her cursing and swearing over the speakers, EMRYS letting the super soldier know that his creator needed her partner.

"What is it" Bucky asks warily as Rosie glares at the staff, having forced Tony and Bruce away from it once she realized what had gone wrong with Ultron.

"The Mind Stone, one of now five infinity Gems and why we were invaded four years ago. The one thing that can breach an Asgardian's mind like Loki's and twist it to the user's needs" Rosie explains quietly as she separates the stone from the staff as a small yellow gem floats in the air. The witch quick to transfigure the staff into a box and sealed the stone inside.

"It has a mind of its own and twists and manipulates to get what it wants which has resulted in what happened tonight" Rosie hisses as she glares at the sealed box sitting on the lab table from her seat.

"What happened to the sixth stone Lady Rose" Thor asks warily as the Avengers gather in the lab, having seen Bucky run for the elevator.

"My step dad's ancestors found it in the 13th century and managed to tap into some of its base magics to create two other objects tied to its magics with help from a goddess of death. Creating what became known as the Deathly Hallows, a dark children's story that renamed the Soul Stone to the Resurrection Stone that would be passed down the line of the second brother, Cadmus Peverell until I managed to gain it after the last of Cadmus' line passed on. My step dad being the last living descendant of the third brother from the story" Rosie explains, eyes distant until Bucky puts his hands on her shoulders and squeezes gently.

"Anyways I didn't know it was the Soul stone till dad found where I had hidden it at my London home. Told me how much trouble having the stone would bring so I sat down with the goddess that helped tie the stone to the other two objects she'd help create and we drained the stone of its power, giving it to the other deities on Earth connected with the domain of death. Rendering the stone null and useless, hence why Thanos came to Earth personally four years ago since he didn't want to believe what Loki and I had done" Rosie finishes as Thor nods, quietly glad no one could finish the Infinity Gauntlet now unless they went to extreme measures to do so.

"Now while EMRYS eradicates your rogue AI the Mind Stone needs to leave with Thor. No more testing it and examining it otherwise we're going to have a repeat of Ultron and I would like to head home sometime today" Rosie claps her hands together as she pushes the sealed and warded box towards Thor as Loki walked back into the room with a scowl on his face. Quick to add his own protections.

"Don't argue Tony, it played on your fears and Ultron was the result. A dangerous result that could have ended the world as we know it had EMRYS not been here. Focus on fixing your JARVIS before the concept of world peace" Rosie sighs as Tony would do as suggested.

"The children are waiting; a message is also waiting for you on your work phone" Loki admits as Rosie nods and would reach up to grasp Bucky's metal hand on her shoulder.

"Alright time to go back to my day job then since it's likely Wu…remind me that we need to deal with E750 since Wu will be off island in the next couple weeks" Rosie grumbles as Bucky nods and the pair would pop away. Leaving Thor and Loki to deal with the Mind Stone and the after math of Tony and Bruce's meddling with it.

Ultron's program not lasting the night, EMRYS destroying the program before leaving Tony's servers all together.

Rosie and Bucky under orders from Masrani to clear out the E750 lab once it became clear Wu hadn't destroyed it as planned, freezing the carcass once it's blood was drained to make sure Wu didn't figure out that Rosie had tattled to Simon about his actions.

Once they returned though, over the course of the next few months since the near miss with the Mind Stone, the labs on Nublar became a different place as Wu continued to work on his secret project, sometimes giving the other members of the lab pieces of the puzzle but never enough to figure out what he was doing. Rosie didn't like it at all but there wasn't much anyone but the board or Masrani could do to change things.

Finally, two years after getting the go ahead Henry was all smiles, his eggs had hatched successfully. Even though he didn't get to see the second egg hatch.

While everyone else cheered Rosie couldn't help the sinking feeling in her stomach.

Watching as the smaller of the two hatchlings Wu had produced took to Sobek's teachings and remained docile compared to her more vicious sister. Magically expanding on Sobek's enclosure to give the newborn space knowing she would need it.

Rosie looked over the plans for the other I-Rex's enclosure and shook her head. "The walls need to be taller yes, but this enclosure is too small for animals that large. The paddock needs to be at least as large as the T-Rex one if they're going to be bigger than Rexy" she explains Claire.

"Making it that large will take too long" Claire says thinking of the reveal date.

"Then put her in a temporary enclosure until it's finished. It's like you want something to go wrong. Put invisible fencing around the paddock as well for extra security. And don't make the doors large enough for an un-sedated animal to get through once fully grown" Rosie offers. The debate continuing well into the night. Rosie eventually winning some of the argument.

She would look at the paddock once it was done and shake her head, it was bigger than originally planned but not as big as she had recommended. At least it wouldn't hold two. The fact that this dinosaur had the potential to kill and eat its own sibling worried her, killing a sibling if competing for resources was natural, but these two weren't competing. The only thing she knew was the base genome was a T-Rex, T-Rex's did not eat their siblings. They lived in family groups.

Her I-Rex leaning into those genes by letting Sobek take the lead and teach her how to be a predator in captivity and how to behave with Rosie and his handlers. Growing quickly over the span of 6 months and still growing by the time reveal day came around in December.

The rapid growth and lack of details left Rosie knowing something was seriously wrong. Left her wondering what else had Wu mixed in?

No matter how much digging EMRYS had done and how much she tried to ask Wu wouldn't say, just saying it was 'classified'.

How could he classify it from Claire when she ran the park? Who did Wu really work for?

"Hal Osterly, vice president. Jim Drucker, bad hair. Erica Brand deserves better. Hal, Jim, Erica. Hal, Jim, Erica. And I am Claire. Three minutes late" Claire mumbles as she straightens out her clothes.

Meeting investors could be tricky and she needed to be at her best for these ones. The doors opened and she smiled. "Welcome to Jurassic World" she welcomes as she led the three into the labs, ignoring the people watching through the glass. "While year over year, revenue continues to climb, operating costs are higher than ever. Our shareholders have been patient, but let's be honest, no one is impressed by a dinosaur anymore. Twenty years ago, de-extinction was right up there with magic. These days, kids look at a Stegosaurus like an elephant from the city zoo. That doesn't mean asset development is falling behind. Our DNA excavators discover new species every year. But consumers want them bigger, louder, more teeth. The good news? Our advances in gene splicing have opened up a whole new frontier. We've learned more from genetics in the past decade than a century of digging up bones" she explains everything as she led them around the labs until she came to a wall display showing dinosaur DNA. "So, when you say you want to sponsor an attraction, what do you have in mind?" She asks with a smile.

"We want to be thrilled" Hal answers and her smile turns to a grin as she touches the display to show different information.

"Don't we all? The Indominus rex. Our first genetically modified hybrid" Claire announces proudly. She'd listened to all of Rosie's misgivings on the project and had to admit she was persuasive, especially after the Indominus had torn apart the decoy of her sibling Rosie had put in the temporary enclosure. But the enclosure would hold her safely.

"How did you get two different kinds of dinosaurs to, you know..." Jim asks, making an odd motion with his hands meant to indicate breeding.

"Indominus wasn't bred. She was designed. She will be 50 feet long when fully grown. Bigger than the T. rex" Henry explains as he joined them.

"Every time we've unveiled a new asset, attendance has spiked. Global news coverage, celebrity visitors. Eyes of the world" Claire reports.

"When will she be ready?" Hal asks eagerly and Henry smirks.

"She already is" Wu admits with pride.

"Claire" Masrani greets happily and she blinks at seeing him in the pilot's seat. Having come out to meet the man after checking into the control room. The deal with the investors a success.

"Mr. Masrani. You are flying" Claire says in surprise.

"I got my license" Masrani shrugs.

"Two more" the instructor corrected.

"Well, two more days. Okay. So, how's my park doing?" Masrani asks as he took off.

"Great. We're up 2.5% over last year. A bit lower than our initial projection" Claire reports.

"No, no, no, how's it doing? Are the guests having fun? Are the animals enjoying life?" Masrani asks.

"Well, guest satisfaction is steady in the low 90s. We don't have a way to measure the animals' emotional experience" Claire explains.

"Sure you do. You can see in their eyes. Right?" Masrani points out the obvious.

"Of course" Claire smiles shakily. He sounded a bit like Rosie and Owen, she had a feeling the two would get on with Mr. Masrani rather well. Not knowing Masrani already knew Rosie.

"Okay. Now show me my new dinosaur" Masrani says as the helicopter sways a bit and he steadies it before it dips again. "Got it. Got it. You look tense, Claire" he chuckles.

"Maybe you should just focus on the controls" Claire says nervously.

"The key to a happy life is to accept you are never actually in control" Masrani advises.

"Bird!" Claire yells and he moves to avoid it.

"You should spend a day at the beach. Get some sun" Masrani points out.

"Right, so... Marketing thought we could offset some of the costs by..." Claire goes to say only to be interrupted.

"Enough about cost. John Hammond entrusted me with his dying wish, and not once did he mention profits. 'Spare no expense', he used to say" Masrani says dismissively.

"I appreciate that, but the reality of operating a theme park requires..." Claire tries again.

"Don't forget why we built this place, Claire. Jurassic World exists to remind us how very small we are. How new. You can't put a price on that. Now, please, we're flying. Breathe"

Rosie on her part would be waiting for them at the enclosure, having made sure Azami was okay with the Camp Cretaceous crowd while Bucky had settled in the observation deck of Sobek's enclosure with Rian. Keeping an eye on Sobek and Kali, Bucky having named the adolescent hybrid once it became clear she was intelligent and wanted a name.

To the present Rosie would turn to see the helicopter land and sighed before realizing who it belonged too. She straightened her clothes and went to greet them. "Ms. Dearing" she calls even as one of the men ran to the bushes to throw up, must be some turbulence up there today.

"Dr Evans. This is Mr. Masrani. Rosie is consulting on the enclosure" Claire explains.

"It's good to see you Doctor" Masrani says, shaking Rosie's hand. "Are you still building?" he asks curiously.

"We planned to open in May, but Asset Containment and Rosie insisted we build the walls up higher" Claire explains, shooting Rosie a mild glare and she shrugs.

"She's bigger than expected. We had to expand on her sister's enclosure as well" Rosie admits.

"It's a good sign" Masrani decides as he followed them up the stairs.

"We hit a few speed bumps early on. She began to anticipate where the food would come from. One of the handlers nearly lost an arm" Rosie explains.

"The others threatened to quit if I couldn't guarantee their safety" Claire admits since Rosie had brought it up.

"She's intelligent then?" Masrani asks.

"For a dinosaur" Claire answers stiffly and Rosie shakes her head, Claire refused to accept just how smart they could be.

"And that?" Masrani points to the spider web in the glass.

"It tried to break the glass" Claire says.

"I like her spirit" Masrani says quietly. The trees part and a massive form could be partially seen through the growth. "It's white. You never told me it was white" he whispers as he stared in awe. Rosie didn't feel awe as she saw her eyes, they had the same cunning she'd seen in Nagini and other magical serpents. Kali's sister gave her the chills.

"Think it will scare the kids?" Claire asks and Masrani chuckles slightly.

"The kids? This will give the parents nightmares" Masrani says.

"Is that good?" Claire asks warily.

"It's fantastic. Can she see us?" Masrani asks.

"They say it can sense thermal radiation. Like snakes" Claire explains.

"Where's the sibling?" Masrani asks curiously. Having wondered why Rosie hadn't housed the siblings together once they were big enough.

"She destroyed a decoy of her sibling so I've kept the sibling housed with Sobek" Rosie states flatly and Masrani looks startled for a moment.

"So, the paddock is quite safe, then?" Masrani asks warily.

"We have the best structural engineers in the world. Rosie has also been consulting as she spends a lot of time with predators, especially the raptors" Claire explains.

"Yeah, so did Hammond. There's an American Navy man here. Part of a research program one of my companies is running. Owen Grady" Masrani says as Rosie bites her lip in quiet amusement.

"I know who he is" Claire admits stiffly.

"His animals often try to escape. They are smart. He has to be smarter" Masrani explains.

"He only thinks he's smarter" Claire mutters.

"I want you to bring him in. Let him inspect the paddock. Maybe he sees something we can't. No offence to you Doctor" Masrani says as Rosie waves the man off.

"None taken, I suggested bringing him in months ago" Rosie admits quietly. Heading back to her private lab knowing the camp children were due to show up. Smiling widely when Azami threw herself into Rosie's offered arms. Ignoring the USB her daughter had tucked into her back pocket. Likely nicked from one of the other campers.

"Hi Miss Evans" Kenji says as Rosie gives the Asian teen a warm smile.

"I hear you and Mr. Bowman here got into a bit of mischief last night" Rosie chuckles as Kenji ducks his head with a shrug while Brooklynn would ask why Roxie and Dave had brought them here.

"Wu isn't good with children and I'm always up for answering questions. Plus you get to see some of the young before they're released into the park enclosures" Rosie explains as she leads the way down to Sobek's cage first to the delight of Azami and Kenji who knew where she was taking them.

"Whoa is that a Suchomimus?!" Darius asks in awe as Sobek got close to the glass, all but Yasmina missing Bucky and Rian napping on the small recliner overlooking the enclosure.

"This is Sobek and somewhere napping further in the trees is Kali, but I thought you all might appreciate getting to see a calmer carnivore early on in the camp tour" Rosie explains as Sobek touches his snout to where the doctor had put her hand on the glass.

"Why is she green and not black?" Sammy asks as Azami giggles in amusement, getting confused looks from all.

"Sobek isn't female. He's the only male Suchomimus on the island and the Sucho that a lot of scientists have based their behavioral papers on in the last 5 years when it comes to his species" Azami explains as Darius puts his hand up to the glass at Rosie's encouragement.

"This is so cool" Darius whispers as the other campers do the same, Azami discreetly mentioning the Ankylosaurs Ben had gotten attached too in the other lab.

It's as the campers were preparing to leave that Rosie froze as the spell she had on Owen suddenly went wild, Owen was in deadly danger.

"Roxie, Dave why don't you all chill out here for a while? Sobek doesn't mind the company and this way they're not getting into mischief. I keep some snacks here that Azami knows where to find them" Rosie offers as Roxie and Dave shrug and agree as the witch closes down her computer and left the lab, apprating closer to the control center, walking in at a brisk pace before she spotted Claire running for the control room.

"Claire!" Rosie calls and Claire looks back.

"Control Room!" She yells so she followed, showing her badge at the door and following her to find a shocked looking staff. "Everyone remain calm" Claire states shakily and then moves further in. Rosie moved to stand with Masrani. "The implant will shock it if it gets too close to a perimeter fence" Claire explains.

"Okay. It's moving really fast" Lowery tells them, watching the tracker move across the map of the island.

"This is Control. Put out a park-wide alert" Vivian calls through her headset.

"Hang up that damn phone, please" Masrani calls and the girl stops.

"Sorry, I'm getting new information. Everything's fine" Vivian reports.

"Let Asset Containment capture it quietly. The very existence of this park is predicated on our ability to handle incidents like this. It was an eventuality, okay?" Masrani explains.

"You should put that in the brochure. 'Eventually, one of these things will eat somebody'" Lowery mutters and Rosie bites back a laugh.

"That paddock is four miles from the closest attraction. ACU can handle this. No one else is gonna get..." Claire states, trailing off.

"Eaten?" Lowery offers.

"Non-lethals might not be enough to bring her down. Sedating Rexy takes a massive dose, who knows how much would be needed for Indominus" Rosie explains quickly. She glances over as the elevator opened and is relieved to see Owen emerge.

"I need to see a badge. Sir, I need to see a badge" security says trying to push Owen back.

"What the hell happened out there?" Owen demands.

"Sir" the guard tries again.

"There are thermal cameras all over that paddock. She did not just disappear!" Owen points out as Rosie sucked in a sharp breath and quickly pulls her phone out to message Bucky to keep the campers and Rian at her lab until it was safe to come out. Messaging Azami to lock them in once Bucky left since Rosie knew Bucky wouldn't remain at the lab if there was trouble of this magnitude. The witch silently glad Loki and her brothers were off the island at the moment helping Stark and Banner with a project of theirs. The twins having gone to New York since Wanda had signed up for university and where she went Pietro followed so they had been off the island since September.

"It must have been some kind of a technical malfunction" Claire offers weakly.

"Were you not watching? She marked up that wall as a distraction. She wanted us to think she escaped!" Owen points out bluntly.

"Hold on. We are talking about an animal here" Claire argues.

"A highly intelligent animal" Rosie says settling at Owen's side even as she watches the screen. She had a bad feeling about this.

"400 meters to the beacon" Lowery calls.

"You're going after her with non-lethals" Owen states in disbelief.

"We have $26 million invested in that asset. We can't just kill it" Masrani argues.

"Those men are gonna die" Rosie breathes as she looks at the side showing the men's vitals. Most had elevated heart rates due to adrenaline and fear.

"300 meters to the beacon" Lowery reports.

"You need to call this mission off right now" Owen orders.

"They're right on top of it" Vivian calls nervously.

"Call it off right now" Owen barks.

"You are not in control here!" Claire snaps.

"Blood's not clotted yet. It's close" The leaders voice comes over the radio.

"What is that?" Claire looks to Owen and Rosie.

"That's her tracking implant. She clawed it out" Rosie answers, frowning.

"How would it know to do that?" Claire asks.

"She remembered where they put it in" Owen answers as Bucky slipped into the room.

"It can camouflage!" those were the last words of the leader and all they could do was stand and listen to the men and women dying.

"Evacuate the island" Owen breathes once it was over.

"We'd never reopen" Claire points out.

"You made a genetic hybrid, raised it in captivity. She is seeing all of this for the first time. She does not even know what she is. She will kill everything that moves" Owen tries to explain to them just what was happening.

"Do you think the animal is contemplating its own existence?" Masrani asks.

"She is learning where she fits in the food chain, and I'm not sure you want her to figure that out. Not like this" Rosie agrees with Owen.

"Asset Containment can use live ammunition in an emergency situation. You have an M134 in your armory. Put it on a chopper and smoke this thing!" Owen snaps.

"We have families here. I'm not gonna turn this place into some kind of a war zone" Claire argues right back.

"You already have" Rosie answers, moving towards the elevator. Bucky right on her heels. She would get her team out and headed for the next ferry.

"Mr. Grady, if you're not gonna help, there's no reason for you to be in here" Claire states and he turned to follow Rosie but paused by Masrani.

"I would have a word with your people in the lab. That thing out there, that's no dinosaur" They got in the elevator together. "So I guess this is what's been bugging you" Owen says quietly.

"I told them the paddock needed to be bigger with smaller doors and higher walls" Rosie answers. "I also disagreed with her creation but Henry's top doc here. All the board sees is profit. There's a ferry scheduled to leave in forty minutes, I'm getting as many people on it as I can convince" she explains.

"I'm not leaving my girls" Owen points out.

"Figured. Barry won't go either I'm guessing and we're staying too" Rosie admits quietly.

"Grab a radio so you're in contact" Owen says as Rosie nods.

"Sure" Bucky agrees as they went their separate ways.

Rosie watching the ferry leave. She'd managed to convince her team to evacuate and some of the newer members of the Raptor Gang.

Unfortunately, when the Ferry had arrived it had been full of new visitors. So the number of people on the island hadn't actually gone down. She had managed to get a word with the captain though, telling them was a containment issue and to stop other loaded ferries for now, the man had agreed after a small confundus charm. The next Ferry to arrive would be empty and could be quickly loaded with outgoing people. Hopefully, they could get people off the island without them realizing what was going on and panicking. That way the park wouldn't suffer too badly from the idiocy of a few. She headed back to the labs, she wanted a word or ten with Wu. Bucky heading back to explain to Roxie and Dave what was going on and make sure the children were safe till the issue was resolved.

"Sir, I can't get a hold of your instructor" Vivian calls as she followed Masrani towards the helicopter where ACU was mounting the massive machine gun.

"Never mind. He's likely caught up in the evacuation" Masrani waves off.

"You're sure there's nobody else who can fly a helicopter?" Vivian asks.

"We don't need anyone else" Masrani says just as Rosie reaches them.

"Sorry sir but there is no way you're flying" Rosie calls as she ran up. "Let the ex-Air Force pilot handle this" she flashes a grin and took the headset from him.

"Doctor Evans" Masrani says.

"You're not expendable sir. Get back inside or off the island" Rosie says firmly as she got in and strapped into the pilots' seat. Sure hands soon had them in the air and searching for any sign of the loose Indominus.

"Got it! Got it. We have eyes on the target, south of the Aviary" the gunner yells and Rosie turns the chopper to get a better shot.

"Proceed and engage" the order comes over the radio and they opened fire. With the way Rosie had turned the bullets forced the Indominus to turn away from the birdcage thankfully. They kept on it, a lot of shots missing and she mentally groaned over ACU's ability to aim. But they were driving her back away from the populated sections of the park which was good. Eventually she retreated too deeply into the trees for them to see. They patrolled for a while but lack of fuel eventually drove them to land.

"Good flying Doctor Evans" Mr. Masrani praises as Rosie walked into the control room so she nodded and then spotted Hoskins who sneered at her slightly.

"Thanks. So what now? We drove her back but the gun wasn't bothering her all that much" Rosie asks.

"Mr. Hoskins wants to use Grady's Raptors to track and kill her" Masrani answers and Rosie rolls her eyes.

"They may be tamer than a totally wild Raptor but they are not that tame. There's too much risk they'd turn on us when faced with another apex predator. Besides, from her behavior I'd guess there's some Raptor in her DNA too" Rosie points out bluntly.

"Then what do you suggest Doctor? There's going to be packed Ferries showing up soon. You want their deaths on the news?" Hoskins demands.

"Actually the only Ferries showing up will be empty, I talked to the captain of the last one. We get everyone off and then we can claim that yes, there was a containment issue but no visitors were injured and we dealt with it calmly" Rosie explains.

"And the Indominus?" Hoskins demands.

"We drag the answers on her make-up from Wu so we know better how to deal with her" her answer had Hoskins storming off. "I really don't like or trust him" she grumbles and Lowery nods.

Barry went for his radio as he spots Hoskins and his men approaching the Cage. "Owen, come in Owen."

"Barry?" Owen asks.

"Get back here, it's Vic" Barry reports.

"On my way" Owen says as he looks to Claire, Zara and the boys. "Get inside, the control room's safe enough. I've got to stop Vic" he admits.

"Be careful" Claire orders before herding her nephews towards the Innovation Centre. "Rosie" Owen calls into the radio.

"Yeah Owen" Rosie answers.

"Where are you?" Owen asks.

"Control" Rosie says.

"Claire and the kids are on their way to you. I've got to stop Vic messing with my girls" Owen explains as Rosie cusses.

"He wants to use the raptors to stop the Indominus. But I think she has some Raptor DNA which means it's too dangerous" Rosie quickly explains.

"I hear you" Owen shoves the radio into his belt and jumps on an ATV.

"Claire, you okay?" Rosie asks as the four walked in and she nods, she was filthy and tired but unhurt. The boys look around in awe. "I'm going to help Owen with Vic" the witch quickly explains.

"Mr. Hoskins does not have authorization for his plan" Masrani says.

"Unless he called the board and went over your heard sir" Claire points out and Masrani frowns before moving away to make a call. Rosie left and grabbed a bike, heading for the cage. she got there in time to see Owen hit Vic which was nice.

"Get the hell out of here and stay away from my animals" Owen orders.

"Masrani didn't authorize this" Rosie calls as she moved to stand with Owen, Bucky, and Barry. All but Kenji, Rian and Azami tucked away in the control center. Kenji, Azami and Rian tucked away in the Evans bungalow where it was the safest for them.

"Doesn't matter, the board did" Hoskins smirks. Bucky quick to grab Rosie around the waist.

"Hoskins, you wanted this to happen, you son of a bitch!" Rosie snarls at the man.

"How many more people have to die before this mission starts to make sense to you?" Hoskins demands.

"It's not a mission. It's a field test" Barry argues.

"This is an InGen situation now. Okay, there are gonna be cruise ships that show up here at first light. Everybody's gonna get off this island. You're gonna watch a news story tomorrow about how you all saved lives. No, better yet, how your animals saved lives" Hoskins pushes.

"They've never been out of containment" Rosie argues back.

"It's crazy" Barry adds.

"Let's move it out! This is happening! With or without you" Vic calls as he moved away and Rosie pulls out her radio to call Lowery. The answer wasn't good; the board wasn't backing down despite Masrani's arguments. Owen snarls but went into the tent that had been set up, Rosie following, while Barry and Bucky went to prep the girls.

"We know that she is in sector five. This is a game we call hide-and-seek. It's a scent drill. We've done it about a thousand times with these animals. When they get on target, and they will get on target, wait to engage. Velociraptors are pack hunters. They like to herd the animal into a kill zone. That's when we take our shot. Get a clear shot, wait on my command, and give her everything you got. We got one good target, gentlemen. Do not shoot my Raptors. Please" Owen briefs them and then looks at Rosie who simply went and pulled on a vest and grabbed a rifle. "No planes here" Owen teases.

"Bite me" Rosie snaps back with a grin.

"You remember how to shoot? It's been a while since you retired" Owen points out.

"Ha ha" Rosie laughs sarcastically as she grabs some more gear and Owen grabs a vest as well, not that they'd do much against claws but they might buy a few seconds.

Rosie grins as Charlie ran beside her, she even nudges the bike slightly, playing with Rosie and she laughs. "Watch it baby girl" she calls to her as the convoy ploughs through the trees. She overtook the witch and she floored it, overtaking her, playing.

"They're slowing down. They got something" Barry calls and Owen calls for them to stop. Rosie got off the bike and unslung her rifle, moving up with her friends and partner to crouch behind a log. "Something's wrong" he whispers.

"They're communicating. I know why they wouldn't tell us what it's made of" Owen watches as his girls 'talked' to the Indominus and then all five dinosaurs turned to face the men.

"Why?" Barry asks warily.

"Rosie was right, that thing's part Raptor" Owen breathes.

"Engage!" One of the men yells and they began shooting even as the raptors scattered around them.

"Watch your six. Raptors got a new alpha" Owen calls as they moved forward into the burning underbrush.

Rosie hears something and turns to find Charlie watching her. She kept her rifle down and decided to try something so she slipped into Parseltongue as she called out to her. Charlie cocked her head, listening to her and barks happily and moves to her side, rubbing against her.

"Good girl" Rosie whispers, planting a kiss between Charlie's eyes. Stroking over her head and then she took off and Rosie followed. She heard a bike rev and looked to see Owen who got Blue to chase him. Rosie moved to the log she'd been attacking and helped Barry out who froze when he saw Charlie. "It's okay, she's with me" the witch reassures as Bucky came up behind them looking a little worse for wear.

Barry shook his head. "She's always liked you" he chuckles.

"I'm going after Owen and the others" Rosie says as she got onto her bike and drove off, Charlie at her side. Bucky quick to follow while Barry returned to the Raptor paddock.

By the time they made it back to the main area of the park it was dark and deserted, the people having been moved down to the ferry docks to be safe. They dismounted and looked around, Charlie making nervous sounds beside them. Rosie pulls out the radio to call and see if Lowery could see them on the screens when the sounds of raptors surrounding them became clear. They turn to find Charlie's sisters around them, shattering at their youngest pack member who made sounds of distress but stayed with them.

"That's how it is?" Owen asks Blue before putting his rifle down and reaching out to gently remove the camera from the side of her head. Rosie ready to summon him if Blue made the slightest move but she stayed still and Owen smiled. "Okay" he says in quiet relief.

And then a massive white form came around the corner and Owen gulped. Rosie and Bucky not breathing a word. The Indominus talked to the raptors and Blue talked back before looking at Owen and then attacking the Indominus who tossed her aside. The other three crouched, ready to attack and Owen whistled sharply, giving them the signal. Both men and Rosie grab their rifles and began shooting her as well. But even with three raptors attacking plus their shots it wasn't doing enough.

"Gonna do something crazy!" Rosie calls and then ducks down a staff only corridor, pulling out his radio. "Lowery, are you still there?" she yells down the channel.

"Hey, where are you?" Lowery asks.

"I need you to open Paddock 9" Rosie explains in a hurry.

"Paddock 9? You kidding?" Lowery demands incredulously.

"Damn it, Lowery, be a man and do something for once in your life" Rosie barks into the radio.

"Why do you have to make it personal?" Lowery mutters but enters the code and the doors open.

Rosie stares into the darkness and then hears something massive heading her way. She summons a ball of bright white light and Rexy bellows. "Follow the leader old girl" she whispers before turning and running, leading Rexy back to the fight before letting the light go dark and she threw herself out of her path. She looks over and spots Bucky and Owen almost pinned in a ruined shop. "RUN!" she yells and both scramble up and over to her side. They dodge and duck, trying to keep from ending up being squashed by falling debris or flying dinosaurs all while being shocked to see the Raptors and Rexy working together.

In the control room Claire and Lowery watch in horrified silence as the dinosaurs battled it out, catching the occasional glimpse of Owen, Bucky or Rosie on the screen. Finally, Rexy threw the Indominus to the ground in front of the lagoon. Everyone watched in stunned silence as the Mosasaurus breached and grabbed the dinosaur, pulling her into the depths.

Rexy looks at the Raptors who back down and then lumbers off while the pack moved to Owen and Rosie. The two spent time stroking heads and side, checking the four for injuries. "Now what?" Owen asks.

"See if they'll follow you back to the paddock. We'll follow Rexy, see if I can herd her back to hers" Rosie shrugs tiredly.

"And people say I'm crazy" Owen mutters but soon he is on his bike and the pack follow him. Rosie took off after Rexy and a careful use of magic allows her to lead the Rex back to her paddock where the door closes and locks behind her. Both taking in the considerable damage to the various shops lining the street and the lagoon barricade that needed repair as they made their way back to control. Overall it could have been a lot worse. Once inside the control room and Rosie received a rib crushing hug from Claire.

"You and Owen are crazy!" Claire shouts as she pulls back to look over the smaller woman. Noting that Rosie and her partner look much like herself and Owen a little worse for wear.

"Probably. Where's the boss?" Rosie asks.

"He flew my nephews back to the mainland" Claire admits.

"Then that leaves you in charge" Rosie grins.

"Yeah. Where's Hoskins?" Claire asks.

"Last I saw Raptor Paddock, which is where Owen and the girls are headed. Where's Wu?" Rosie asks.

"Locked him down in the labs" Lowery answers with a grin and Rosie laughs.

"Good" Bucky sighs.

"Think we can get past this?" Claire asks tiredly.

"Sure. That's what Masrani's lawyers are for. I foresee a new board, new head scientist and InGen security in the future" Rosie says. She'd make sure of it. "Plus much more stringent controls on our world. Hybrids" she shudders. "Idiots" she sighs as Claire asks about Kali.

"Kali can go on display but I want her a little more socialized and the enclosure a little bigger before I even consider letting Masrani put her on display. She'll be the first and only hybrid if I get my way" Rosie says firmly as Claire nods.

And amazingly it happened as Rosie had foretold. Wu and Hoskins had been tried quietly and sentenced to prison as well as being heavily fined. The board was fired and new members appointed. Rosie was promoted to head scientist while a new man was brought in to head security. With no guests hurt it was easily swept under the rug and the park was up and running again in two months, with no sign of damage. The Indominus paddock used when they added an Allosaurus to the park, a much safer option for a new predator.

Kali getting her own private enclosure near the labs since she didn't want to be separated from Sobek once it became clear the male Sucho couldn't and wouldn't move into the original I-Rex enclosure.

With the promotion though Bucky and Rosie would quietly get married with only Loki, the twins and Rosie's brothers present. Life going on for the small family, Azami starting Ilvermorny a year after the Indominus break out. Teddy having graduated both mundane and magical schooling and like the twins been in university taking classes so he could join Rosie in the labs.

No one in the park breathing a word when Owen and Rosie took the raptors, Kali and Sobek out for a run in the Jurassic Park ruins.
