One midsummer's night, a young woman had just climbed into her comfortable bed, and drifted off to sleep. As she starts to dream, a mystical voice begins to communicate with her.

"Human, you have been chosen, to help protect the many anime universes."

"Wha- me? Chosen?" I answered, still sleepy.

"They are evil forces, trying to find ways to gain certain control of any specific universe, to use for their own selfish desires. And I'd need you to help keep that peace. Will you accept my offer?"

"I don't know, what do these tasks entail exactly?" I said, confused.

"Your actual presence will be altered, so you can blend into the surroundings, in order for you to seek out this evil."

"But what if things were to go wrong, say like... if my dream self got killed. Would my human self be affected ?"

"Honestly yes, the choices you make within certain limitations, will alter that realms future."

I kept my inner voice silence for a moment, to think it over.

"Well, what is your response, human ?"

"It's risky, but I'll help."

"Excellent, your life will not be the same from here on out."

"W-Who are you?"

"I am a guardian spirit who will provide the necessary abilities to enter these anime universes by ways of portal magic." "My name is Yuri."

"Waaait… hoold the f*cking phone. I know another Yuri from a computer 4th wall breaking visual novel. I hope you are not her, cause if you are. I'd be pretty freaked out right about now."

A hidden spirit entered my mind, revealing herself.

"I assure you, I'm no such character you're speaking of."

"Pwfh… that's a relief."

"As I was saying, my spirit was only meant for pure love. So you can say my abilities run on love power."

"Love power, huh.. okay. what would I have to do to activate them ?"

"To reactivate the abilities, you would need to kiss someone but you get to decide what gender, it doesn't really matter who."

"Even if it is the main character?"

"That particular choice may have some consequences attached. Most main characters already have a love interest locked into their… She cleared her throat PLOT."

I paused.

"Anyway, is there a contract I'd have to sign or make a pact with you, to make this official ?"

"Nope, all you have to do is repeat after me 'I will take full responsibility, to keep all anime universes safe and out of the hands of evil."

A floating light blue teardrop pendant with silver crystal gems around the base appears glowing in midair. I began to recite the saying.

"I will take full responsibility, to keep all anime universes out of the hands of evil."

Soon enough the pendant stopped glowing.

"The deal has now been sealed. Use my abilities wisely."

"Oh, just one last thing I have to ask." "Can these abilities be shared, if I find someone trustworthy to weld them as well ?"

"They can be shared, but you have to watch out, whom you give half to. Cause in the wrong hands, it can be used to create more massive problems across every universe."

"Yeesh, I don't even want to think that, please."

After all that happened.

"Not to be too rude, but I'm not gonna activate them tonight. So… just make yourself comfortable. Try not to project any wired images while I'm sleeping."

"I promise. You just relax and get some sleep, and I'll retreat into the deepest part of your mind." Yuri replies.

I calmed my mind back down and drifted back to dreamland. Yuri asked one last question before going silent.

"By the way human, what was your name ?"

"Alyssa."

Yuri thought something to herself without saying anything, then retreated into the depths of my mind to let me rest.
