Somewhere in the world was the town named Peach Creek. It was named after the peach trees that grew there and the eponymous creek. No one knows where the place exactly is. Any attempt at decrypting this mystery have been unsuccessful. The closest to ever solving it has mysteriously contracted disease and their findings vanished.
On a certain cul-de-sac in a street called Rethink Avenue. Three adolescent boys were busy at work in the backyard of one of the houses. Leaning on the wall of the house was Eddy. The unofficial leader of the trio. He was kicking back while his other 2 friends were working.
"Hey are you done yet?" he asked
"We would be if you helped us." Double-D replied, the smartest of the three.
Eddy scoffed. "Big Deal. Besides Ed is helping you put this thing together."
"That is hardly the point." he shot back. "It was your idea to construct this contraption."
"What are we doing again?" asked Ed. Who did not pay attention to Eddy's plan.
"Get back to work!" Eddy said bluntly. He saluted and did as ordered.
Double-D muttered something under his breath as he put the finishing touches on the machine. The last thing to do now was add the power source and the wiring. Ed was the one with the former while Double- D got the latter. To power it they needed something stronger than the standard batteries they used. So, Ed when to the junkyard of the neighboring town of Lemon Brook to find one. The place was classified as a military dumping site, notoriously known for containing failed prototypes and de-weaponized nuclear material. Perfect for looking for a powerful battery.
Ed found a cylindrical device with an exceptional power output. He carefully and gently put it in its holder and breathed a sigh of relief. Double-D was busy rewiring it and making sure they won't spark.
"Is it ready." Eddy asked
"Just need to make this adjustment…and done!" he announced triumphantly
"Alright! Let's start this puppy up to begin our scam." Eddy said
"And pray tell what is the purpose of this machine you ask me to build?"
"I'm glad you asked." he said. "You see one day when I was with Ed, he told me about the multiverse. Which in theory is basically that there are an infinite number of universes."
"That is a simple explanation of it."
"Then it hit me. Why not create a machine that allows you to view these universes. Once we kick off this baby, we'll be swimming in cash soon." Eddy finished
"Eddy as ground-breaking and exciting as it sounds. We don't know if it works or not." Double-D said
"Of course, why not a test run before we showcase it to the masses." Eddy insisted
Double-D sighed knowing his compatriot's ambitions and activated the machine. The device in question was as big as a small shed. It had a flatscreen TV built into it with a series of buttons underneath. He pressed them in a specific order and it slowly powered up. Double-D felt a sense of pride seeing the machine he built start up, this could be his magnum opus.
Like any experimental prototype the device stopped just as it finished its operation. "That's it? What a rip off we worked so hard on it then it just stops." Eddy complained. Stomping out in a fit.
"Come now Eddy sure it didn't work in our first attempt we can try again-." before he could finish, he was cut off by the sound of electrical sparks.
He turned around saw the machine beginning to crackle and spark immediately he rushed to it. Quickly followed by Eddy.
"Um, guys." Ed said at what he was seeing.
The three took an instinctive step back. "Sockhead what's going on?" Eddy asked nervously.
"The battery it must be stable." he answered
They continued to back away. The machine hissed loudly and discharged a large energy burst engulfing the three. When it died down the machine and the Eds were nowhere to be found.
Hey guys ScoutNout here with a new story. An idea came to me that why not crossover Ed Edd n Eddy with Freezing. Hope you enjoy this tale.
