Royai galore notebookBy a Royai obsessed fangirl

Entry 1 ~ The unwelcome kiss of life--

It was a sunny day... too sunny. The heat burned through the windows of the office, the curtains taken down because of the broken rail. The office was stuffy and anyone who walked in would surely have trouble breathing. The windows couldn't open and air conditioning was a thing for the future.

Which is why on this occasion, the office was empty. Not a single soul at their desk. Instead, the she team had opted to sit outside on the steps to finish their work.

The day had gone surprisingly without issue. Roy had miraculously managed to finish most of his paperwork the night before when he stayed late. Of course Riza was there to do most of the work with him. There wasn't much to do that day either.

Since it was such a warm day, the team decided to take a lunch break to go to the park. Riza of course had to be peer pressured into coming along. She wasn't one to take breaks. Nor was she one to take a stroll in the park not even when walking Hayate.

Mustang walked ahead with Riza at his side whilst the others found a suitable shady spot by the large pond. Riza looked down at the pathetic park bench and grimaced a little.

"Typical, the things covered in bird shit." Havoc complained as he took a seat on the ground. Riza too sat next to Mustang and let her little dog curl up against her black turtleneck as she let him off the leash. Once he realised he was free, he padded off to explore this new environment his mistress had brought him to.

Like the small dog, the conel was also scoping out the area. Breda was busy stuffing his face and Feury was still trying to fix that stubborn old radio.

"Come on, Feury. Take a break from that stupid thing and eat your tuna rolls." Mustang nudged him. Riza just sat there calmly and read her book. Roy managed to steal a glance of her. He wasn't used to this Riza. The Riza he was used to was the one sat at her desk doing her paperwork with stern concentration plastered on her face.

But this Riza... He hasn't seen her since before Ishval. And he adored her. So much so that he decided to put a action his own touch on the image. He looked beside him and picked out a flower. A cute purple one almost as beautiful as her and placed it behind her ear. She was slightly startled by his action and gave him a questioning look. Still she didn't mind too much after seeing his goofy grin.

"Aww, how pretty"

"That looks so nice, Lieutennant." Feury commented with a small blush on his face Riza smiled to herself and felt the flower in her hair.

"Thank you, Sirs" Just then, she looked at the pond and noticed Hayate drinking out of it. "Hayate! Get out of there."

She ran over to him in an attempt to get him but he slipped on the crumbly bank and fell in. She knelt down and reached in to grab him. The rest of the team sat there and watched the whole ordeal in amusement.

Except Mustang. A little bit away, he had spotted an old-ish man leering at her. Staring directly at her ass as she was leaning over to grab Hayate. Finally, he was out soaking wet and shaking all of that icky stuff all over her. "Silly boy! Now go sit down before I shoot you." she warned him with slight relief in her voice.

It was then she caught the eye of Mustang. he glanced away and that's when she saw the man. She didn't think much of it. The colonel was most likely overreacting again. She always picked up on his protectiveness of her even by the way he looked at someone. But she never showed it to anyone. Instead she would just give him a look that spoke her exact thoughts to him. That would usually make him stop or calm down. This time was no different. He kept his frustration to himself and didn't bother anymore.

The little dog went over to Feury who started petting him still clearly amused by all this. Riza also came back to dit down. Roy reached out to rub some dirt off her face. The colonel stopped and looked past her at the guy who was looking at her earlier walking past the pond rather clumsily. Until finally, down he slid and fell head under water flailing helplessly. The rest of the team rushed to he man's rescue.

Breda and Havoc stepped in and pulled him out but he was unconscious. Falman was panicky as ever.

"Quick! Someone's gonna have to do CPR!"

"Kiss of life or something?" Feury suggested. Taking a look at this man, everyone stepped away apart from Hawkeye who was now the closest. She gave them all an exhausted look but still took one for the team and knelt down to try and save this man. Much to Mustang's despise.

Riza took a deep breath seeing the gunk clunked up in the sides of his mouth. One...Two...Three! She blew the air back into his lungs with... the kiss of life. The kiss worked but she was not expecting the man's actions straight after.

He grabbed the collar of her turtleneck and kept her on his lips as an attempt to kiss her longer and harder. She squirmed and pushed against his grip. Trying to find her guns but before she could, Mustang was separating them by brute force.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?" The others pulled the man on his feet and took him on his way so he could be reported. Falman and Feury stayed behind as Hawkeye quickly and desperately wriggled out of Mustang's strong grasp and went to throw up in the bushes surrounding the pond.

"Hawkeye! Falman, Feury get her some water or something and tie Hayate up." He ordered as Riza continued to hurl in the bushes. he stroked her back and head gently ant tried to keep her fringe out of her eyes. "Its ok, Hawkeye. The guy is gone now-"

"The throwing up is not about him! Its the gunk in his mouth! It tastes so awful... it makes me physically-" vomit spluttered out if her mouth once more at her thoughts. Just then, Falman came running with her water bottle. She guzzled it and immediately spat it all out. Again and again and again until she had no taste of that awful stuff any where. All the while, Roy had been there. By her side comforting her, listening to her everything.

Feury, Falman, Mustang and Hawkeye all returned to the steps outside the office as their lunch break was at an end anyway.

"I'm going to the locker rooms to chance into some clean clothes, so whatever paperwork's been left on your desk, you'd better go up and get now." She said sternly at her dear colonel.

What an afternoon that was.

and the sad part was...

...she still didn't get to eat...
