(For context, this story takes place at the start of Kingdom Hearts 1. Just to let ya know.)

The day was like any other on Destiny Islands: sun shining, nice waves of salt water splashing on the sand, the leaves of the big and tall palm trees waving in the wind. And I was taking a nice nap, until Kairi woke me up, that is. "WAHHH", I screamed as I jumped up. "Get up you lazy bum", Kairi said to me. "God it's so fucking hot when you call me a bum" "What?" "Nothing, anyway why'd you wake me up?" "We need stuff for the raft, and some food. No point in sailing away if we're just gonna starve 30 minutes in. So get to it." "Jeez, don't rush me.", I responded.

I ended up gathering a bunch of stuff: some logs, coconuts (specifically green ones. Why I don't know), ropes, etc. Afterwards, Kairi gave me a charm and Riku challenged me to a race over what the raft will be named. I wanted to name it Highwind, while Riku wanted to name it "Riku's Raft". Yea, super original and not at all narcissistic. Anyway, on the count of 3, we started running. Riku was extremely fast and while my speed was no joke, he was just that much faster. It doesn't help that I jumped on a platform that immediately broke when I jumped on it, slowing me down even more. A minute after I finally got up, the raft was called Riku's Raft. Now, I was salty, but like hell was I gonna show it. "So what do we do now?", I asked, giving Riku the stinkeye as I spoke. Kairi responded with "Let's just chill and hang out for now. We don't have to go home yet and there's nothing to do." So that's what we did. We sat on the trunk of a palm tree, talking about whatever we thought of: other worlds, Kairi's home, etc.

When it was time to leave, Riku tossed me a paopu fruit. "Whoever you share that fruit with will be in your life forever, Sora. Better share it with Kairi…..or I will." This kinda urked me. Keep in mind I was still a bit peeved after the whole Riku's Raft thing. I screamed "NO NEED TO TEASE ME, YOU DICK!" "Ok, ok. I'm sorry. Now let's get going."

Nighttime, at Sora's house

With nothing to do, I sat in my room chilling on my bed, waiting for my mom to finish up dinner. That is, until I saw a storm outside. "THE RAFT!", I screamed. I put on my big ass shoes and got out of my bed. I ran straight out the door. I could faintly hear my mom saying "Sora?! Where are you going? I just finished dinner." Sorry Mom, but I had something to do. I got in my boat and started rowing to Destiny Island in the bad weather. While doing this, I thought to myself "Why the fuck did we build a raft if we have boats?" I had no time to determine the answer however, as I just landed at Destiny Island. I saw Riku up by the area where we regularly sword fought. "RIKU?! HOW'S THE RAFT DOING?!"

"The raft? I didn't come here for the raft, Sora. I came here to finally give myself to the darkness." "The darkness? What are you talking about, you dumba-" I stopped my sentence, because just then, a huge monster appeared in front of me. I dropped my wooden sword in awe. I heard Riku shouting "YES! FEED ME THE POWERS OF DARKNESS!" Immediately after, a man in a black hoodie came down with a sword and sliced and killed the monster in one shot, creating a crater in the ground when he landed.
Riku seemed angry "WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO? YOU MESSED EVERYTHING UP!" I heard a scared whimper nearby, looking back I saw a girl with red hair. "Kairi?! WHAT'S GOING ON?!" "SORA!", Riku said. "HELP ME TAKE THIS GUY DOWN! "Sure thing", I replied with a smile over my face. I picked up my wooden sword and did a wide horizontal slash. The man did a sort of backflip jump over my attack and once he's behind me he kicks me in the mouth, sending me flying. But before I can hit the ground, Riku jumps up and grabs me. "FOCUS!", he says. Right as I'm about to respond, he throws me towards the man, and I prepare my sword, ready to stab him in the gut. Once I get there, I do stab him….but nowhere vital. Meanwhile, he stabs me right in the middle of my stomach.

I fall to the ground, coughing up blood as I watch him take my sword out and throw it on the ground. "Riku...I need to rest for a bit. Can you?" "Handle myself without you? Of course I can."

Riku ran up to the man and did a downward slash, but the man caught it with his hand. Riku then jumped back and dashed up again and began to overwhelm the man with a flurry of slashes. Well, I say overwhelm but the man really handled them all with ease. He didn't expect Riku to end it with an uppercut though. While he did take some of the blow, he didn't take all of it and thus parried the latter half. The force of the parry sent Riku flying back and the hooded man took this opportunity to hold out his hand and start charging something up. The wind kicking up blew the hood off his head to reveal a head of…..static hair?

The guy shouted "FIRE" and immediately a giant fireball came out. Riku dodge rolled and avoided it. However, the man teleported to Riku's location. "RIKU! WATCH OUT!", I shouted. "What is it?" "LOOK!" Riku turned around and the man grabbed his wooden sword and snapped it. Riku made a fist and tried to hit him with a right hook, but he caught his arm and broke it, sliced off his arm with his sword, and then punched him in the gut so hard he flew across the island. When he teleported to Riku, Riku spun around and punched him in the face before falling to the ground. I had a face of shock. He finally landed a hit! The victory was shortlived however as Riku got cocky and went in for another punch but the man caught his arm and punched him in the face and Riku fell to the ground. HE then got on top of him and started ripping off his skin.

"SORA! HELP ME!", Riku screamed in agony. "Right." I got up and grabbed my wooden sword, but when I turned around, the man had a chunk of Riku's flesh and even his nose inside his mouth, chewing. I couldn't believe it! He was eating his face like a fucking vulture! He swallowed and screamed "WRYYYYYYY". I couldn't move. I was terrified. And so was Kairi. She screamed Riku's name, crying. He turned towards Kairi with a menacing look. "SHUT UP BITCH! I'LL BREAK YOU LIKE I DID HIS SWORD". He then got up and started walking slowly towards Kairi. "NO! I….I WON'T LET YOU HURT HER!" I ran up and tried to slash him. HE kicked me away. I tried to punch him. He kicked me away. This kept going until I got too tired to get up and he finally got to Kairi. He picked her up above his head. "PLEASE, NO!", I screamed.

He then brought her body down on his knee, breaking her back and spine, screaming and crying. He then threw her on the ground and stomped on her til she exploded into blood and guts. "YOU BASTARD!"

I couldn't do anything against him, I knew that. So I just sat, watching him disappear through a portal.

All I could do…..was cry and scream.
