"Virginia Hawkins is a geeky, quirky freshman, who was just starting her first day at Dakota High School. All she wanted to do was survive high school get a scholarship and continue to be the 2nd generation to obtain a college degree in her family. Her father and mother were both able to attend college and receive their bachelors. Virginia's mother was a paramedic who was helping injured bystanders during a gang riot and was shot by a stray bullet. It was difficult losing her mother at such a young age, her pops was strict and straightforward as an arrow, but loving in his own way, but not the same way as her mama.
(Virginia's P.O.V)
"Virginia! Girl You're gonna be late for your first day at high school! And I'm not gonna be blamed for your lazy self!" Sharon my older sister shouted upstairs, I swear her shouting could wake even the dead.
"Yes Sharon!" I darted out of bed and rushed into the one bathroom we had to share it was tough a lot of the time living in such cramped quarters, it felt claustrophobic some days. We had to downsize when my mother passed away since we were only living off pop's income and my sister Shannon was concentrating on finishing college herself.
"I hurried and got a quick hot shower and with 15 minutes to spare, put on my yellow polo shirt and red cardigan and denim skirt the reached a little past my knees or pops would kill me if my skirts were any shorter.. and then put on my socks and sneakers.
"VIRGINIA!"
"I'm here, but my hearing hardly is now!"
"You're quick mouth is gonna get you in trouble one of these days Virginia! Remember my words of wisdom as an individual with more life experience than you. Always be aware of your surroundings, don't be out past your curfew, because only freaks come out at night, and beware of gang bangers, and don't get involved with them in any way shape or form! Got it!"
"Yeah, yeah whatever are you almost done blabbing my ear off now."
"No respect! Heed my words V!"
"Okay fine, bye!"
I took off to my new school with my backpack and my new mp3 player I had just got on Christmas it was the only gift I received on Christmas, but I cherished it dearly and took it with me everywhere. I was listening to "So, So, Fly" one of my favorite superhero's, She-Bang's, theme song!
Unbeknownst to Virginia there was a creep hanging out in the shadows watching her every move. It was none other than Francis Stone otherwise known as F-stop! The leader of one of the Dakota docks gangs and a gang banger himself.
"Hehehe Nice! I guess I have a good reason to go to school today!" he stated to himself looking Virginia up and down.
-At Dakota High School –
"V! Is that you I missed ya girl! I haven't seen you all summer!" Regina Folley, Virgina's BFF said as she hugged her.
"I know I'm sorry my pops planned that terrible family trip to San Francisco and we ended up going to Disneyland and stayed in two hour long lines just to get on one ride…damn those people with their fast passes!"
"Yikes that sounds like a bummer but then again the rule of thumb is don't visit an amusement parks in summer! Everyone has the same idea."
"I tried to tell 'em but they didn't listen it was Sharon's dumb idea like usual"
"Hahaha well I'm glad we get to go to the same high school…It was difficult. convincing my dad to send me here since he can be such a bigot.
"Hehe…I am glad we get to have the same classes to Regina"
"You know it girl!"
"Virginia was at her locker putting away her heavy textbooks that seemed like they had a combined weight of 100+ pounds. She put in her locker combination and opened the door Virginia came to school a few days before summer ended to decorate her locker, she had a picture of Little Romeo in there and other bands and drawings. As she was finishing placing her books in the locker, someone came beside her and closed her locker door on on her!
"Hey what's the big idea!" She shouted agitated
"Wouldn't you rather have your face on me then in a book?" Francis stated.
"Hell to the no! Who are you even!"
"The name is F-stop! Your Cute! And smell nice to like the ocean!" His face drew closer to hers she was pinned against her locker now.
"You need to F-STOP yourself, before you wreck yourself!" She said pushing his face away from her.
"Aww come on now, I see your playing hard to get then?" He was about to harass her again.
"No you just need to brush up on reading body language 101, mine says my name is NO, my number is NO, just NO."
"After Virginia avoided F-stops advances, Wade the other local gang leader came over and grabbed F-Stop's wrist and threw him across the school's floor.
"I know you ain't frontin' my girl Virginia, Francis!"
"No Wade we were just joking around!"
"You better be!" Wade threatened
"Thank you..uh..Wade." Virginia muttered out.
Wade looked at Virginia and continued to give F-Stop the death glare.
"Catch you later Virginia!" F-stop pointed at her then winked and walked away.
Virginia sighed a sigh of relief.
"What the hell was that all about?! Are you okay Virginia!" Regina rushed over catching a glimpse of the aftermath.
"Yeah..it's just I can't seem to catch a break, all I wanted to do was mind my own business survive high school and score a scholarship..yet somehow I gained the attention of two gang leaders and one has a crush on me all on just my first day of high school.. this can't be good."
"Trouble is a brewing for sure…but I think if you try to keep a low pro, then you should be okay, and if this harassment continues you should report his asshole self to the principal, I'm sure it wouldn't be the first time he was suspended or even better expelled."
"Then what!? Make an enemy of the local gang banger leader from my neighborhood?! Who could possibly know where I live and make my life a living hell!?"
"Oh…the outcome sounded better in my mind..but we should come up with another way to stop your F-Stop problem.. "
"We would need a miracle to happen girl!"
They were almost finished walking home from school together
"You know if you ever need anything girl, I'll be there in a flash."
"I know Regina, I know it."
"Bye! Peace out!" Regina took off toward her home block which was in the opposite direction from Virginia's.
As Virginia continued onward towards her home, suddenly the hairs began to stand up on the back of her neck and she got an uneasy feeling as if she were being followed…She cautiously walked forward, then she spotted F-Stop up ahead leaning against a light pole! When he spotted her he made his way towards her smirking.
Virginia panicked and took off running in the opposite direction! (Perhaps if I can reach Regina's place, she can call the police, damn me for wanting a mp3 player instead of a cell phone for Christmas.) She thought to herself. Suddenly as she was running, she spotted another gang crony of F-Stop's
"Damn it! I will have to lose them in the alleyway then she thought, but she thought wrong and fell into their trap.
"Virginia, Virginia, I know the alleys like the back of my hand…actually probably better than that, there is no running from me." F-Stop asserted.
They all were enclosing in on her now and the other two cronies were about to grab her as she was trapped in front of a brick wall in the alley.
"Woah, woah woah! No one is going to lay a hand on her, other than me ya got that!" F-Stop's crew nervously shook their heads.
"Time to finish were we left off V!"
"Where did we leave off? Hehe" she nervously laughed trying to buy time hoping and praying to sweet baby Jesus that someone would come save her from this nightmare she was in.
"The part where I make you mine." F-Stop replied.
"Come again Francis?!"
"Did I stutter?"
"No but, you may as well have, having you think I would ever be your boo."
"Why are ya Wade's homegirl or somethin' not that it matters?"
"No! I'm not anyone's homegirl I'm my own girl!"
"Hehe I like it Virginia always the witty one!"
"You have a quick tongue to that's for sure I wonder if that's the same in every situation."
"Excuse me?!"
"She didn't like where this conversation was heading to.
"Let's cut to the chase" F-Stop snapped. He then grabbed both her arms and forced her to the wall.
"I will, make you my homegirl then!"
"What no! let go of me!"
Not paying her any attention, he grinded his hips and body into hers and stuck his knee under her skirt unto her sensitive part, causing her to gasp in that opportunity he forced a hot kiss onto her and immediately stuck his tongue into her mouth. She was beginning to get lightheaded from lack of oxygen and tears bit at the corners of her eyes, what was he doing and what was going to happen to her after he had his fun…
His kiss was fierce and wild and his grip was so tight on her body as he firmly held her against him she thought she would get bruises for sure and she couldn't move an inch as Francis aka F-Stop was a big guy. His tongue explored her mouth as she was frozen in his grasp. His tongue wildly attacked hers as his hand began to slowly inch it's way up her thigh. She flinched at his hot touch. He then began to kiss and suck her neck.
(What is this creep doing! Is he some kind of vampire or something?) He was a pale pasty white boy for sure but then again, he was in broad daylight right now, so he couldn't be a vampire.)
He bit down hard on her neck which felt like it was now bleeding.
"AGH!" she cried out in pain.
Then out of nowhere one of F-Stop crew members ran to alert him , "F-Stop, Wade and his homie are heading this way!"
"Ha no matter, I'm almost finished here." He licked her neck with the blood that began to trickle out.
(This guy was a freak that's for sure! But it wasn't even night!)*
"With that, he let go of her and her knees began to buckle together as she collapsed toward the ground. Hot tears began to escape from her eyes and flow down her cheeks that she had been fighting back. She held her neck that was now throbbing in pain.
"You'll be seeing more of me V you better believe it babe!" F-Stop parting words that haunted her.
Virginia was sniffling and fighting back tears, wiping them away with her sleeves. She got up off the ground slowly and turned to face her rescuer, Wade.
"Virginia! We ain't always gonna be around to save your ass!"
"I know Wade, I'm sorry I was tryin' to avoid him!"
"You need to get your shit together! Lucky for you we have a solution to stop yours and our F-stop problem permanently."
"You do?! That's great!"
"Meet us in 30!"
"In 30?! But I have dinner with my pops scheduled in 30!"
"In 30 Virginia!"
"Yes sir!"
As Virginia was walking to the Wade's gang banger hangout. ( try saying that 20 times.) She was worried about what her pops would say and acted out if she told him what was happening right now.
"Don't you know gang bangers are dangerous and not to get involved with them." She said mimicking her father. "With no disrespect pops, but yeah duh!" She was talking out loud about the worst case scenario which would be having to explain if she was apart of a gang now.
"I don't know whose wrath would be worse to take the gang's or my pops…(sigh)" With that she had finally arrived at the gang bangers hang out.
"Virginia! Girl what's up!"
"The sky, before I'm planted 10 feet under by F-Stop…
"Hahaha I love this girls humor!" Wade snickered.
"You came to the right place then we were just discussing you joining us tonight at the Dakota Docks Virginia"
"You mean like being in your gang?!"
"Well yeah! You need life insurance right?! And even if you do take care of F-stop one of his lackeys could come up and take his place and be after your head, you need us Virginia, we will be your life insurance."
"Ah gee fellas, I don't know…I guess…"
"That's the teen spirit I smell!* Meet us at the Dakota Docks tonight."
(Here we go again)
-At the Dakota Docks Virginia's P.O.V-
"I reluctantly went to the Dakota Docks and paced back and forth knowing that my pops would probably chew me out later for being out this late and missing dinner it wasn't so bad Sharon's cooking was terrible, but even now I wouldn't mind it.
"Hey, Virginia, over here!"
"Yes Wade!"
"We have the solution here to all our problems! we may still have 99 problems, but Francis won't be one hahaha!" He gave a sinister laugh and handed me an object wrapped in a bandana.
"I unwrapped the bandana and it was a…
"Gun?!"
Everyone had left me at that point to fight the other local gang bangers. I questioned how I ended up here in this situation. Let's see it all started when I went to my first day of high school Francis the local gang banger started flirting with me couldn't read my body language that said "Not in this lifetime boy" and now here I am…sigh.
I ran trying to get out of here but the place was fenced in..maybe it wasn't too late to get out of this disaster and go back to Sharon's terrible cooking and my warm bed, and life as I knew it, before all this madness happened.
In the process of looking for an escape route, I spotted the infamous Francis.
"Francis!"
"Virginia! And It's F-Stop baby!" What are you doing at a gang war V?!
"I don't even know the answer to that question myself!"
"Well, no matter It seems you came because you didn't want the F-Stop to stop."
"No!"
"This is gonna be fun!" F-Stop inched his way towards Virginia.
"She started to back away. This guy never listens! I unwrapped the bandana from the gun and pointed it at him to get him to back off.
"Woah! You want to get rid of me that badly V!"
"NO! I don't know what I'm doing…but all I know is you better F- off, F-stop!"
"Okay, Okay deal! Just watch where you're pointing that thing!"
Virginia was okay until she looked at her hands and was staring down the barrel of the 45* Caliber Pistol, she then became traumatized in that moment and it's as if everything froze around her with the cold metal gun in her hand, the dreadful memory of her own mother getting killed in a gang riot with a gun came into her mind and she began to have a panic attack, right in the middle of all the disorder around her and in front of her enemy Francis to make matters worse…
"Hey…V!?...earth to Virginia! Oh no I know that look all to well…she's having a panic attack!..Um ..Virginia it's gonna be okay I know I'm the last person you'd believe or trust for good reasons I guess.. but hey I'm gonna get you out of here..the cops are on the way and a good girl like you shouldn't be locked up okay.. you were just in the wrong place at the wrong time..so I'm just going to take this gun and throw it away alright"
Her grip on the gun tightened!
"Okay never mind let's just go! We can have you hop over this fence since it's low enough and stay down under the boxes, alright. I'll come get you when I chase the cops off our tails."
She was still shaken and still grasping the gun, she then came back into reality and realized she still had the gun and threw the dreadful thing into the dock waters. Afterwards chaos ensued with the gangs attacking the police. Soon after there was a police helicopter that flew overhead that shot a bazooka missile that exploded, what appeared to be tanks on the docks. A purple vapor like substance erupted forth out of the explosion, engulfing the surrounding area. Many breathed in the foreign substance, Virginia included and began to have trouble breathing and everyone was coughing severely. Some looked to be mutating on the spot.
(Cough, cough) "What the hell is this stuff?!" Virginia coughed until the gas was too much and caused her to blackout.
(Cough, cough) "Crap, where is that girl! Virginia should be over here where I left her, huh she's slumped over out cold. Must be because of this gas the police probably doused us with. I'm gonna take you home girl ain't no fuzz catching us tonight, I ain't about to go to no hospital either!"
He scooped Virginia up bridal style.
"Your super light V! Must be all those extra curriculars your taking to get a scholarship or something…I hope your eating right..to, I guess you probably missed dinner with your pops because of this, huh?" He was talking to the unconscious Virginia.
Because Francis was the local gang leader he kept tabs on everyone in the neighborhood, and since he also had a crush on Virginia, he knew exactly what block she lived on. He was able to miraculously climb up the 2nd story apartment her family lived in easily with his newly acquired Meta-human strength. He was also able to easily break into her room, where he dragged the unconscious Virginia into. He picked her up and placed her in her bed with the last of his strength until the gas finally kicked into his bloodstream and he became dizzy.
"Oh no bro!" were his last words until he passed out on Virginia's bedroom floor.

(Sorry about the super long 1st chapter! :) The next ones will hopefully be 1,000 words or less. It will definitely take a lot for Hotstreak aka F-Stop to redeem himself after what he did, but ever good hero needs a good villain and I want to go more into depth into who Hotstreak is in later chapters and even in the show he started as a bad guy but wasn't that bad of a guy. I want to dive more into some of the canon and non-canon stuff around him as a character. Since we didn't get enough of him in the Static Shock Cartoon. P.S. all the asterisks next to certain words are references to songs.
