It was supposed to be the happiest day of her life, Amy had been waiting for this moment since her boyfriend Sonic now fiancé asked her to be his wife. The sakura coloured hedgehog and her closest friends were getting ready; both Rouge, Blaze and Sally Acorn were bridesmaids as Cream was Flower girl. Knuckles was going to walk Amy Rose down the aisle as Shadow didn't want anything to do with the wedding- he believed that Faker wasn't good enough for Rose as he had hurt her time and time again and it wouldn't be long before he breaks Amy's heart and hoped that at the same time he was wrong for the pink hedgehog's sake.

While Amy was getting ready Tails was trying to calm his best friend and brother figure down who was zipping around the room tapping his foot anxiously, for the last several weeks Sonic had been getting cold feet and wasn't sure if this was what he wanted. Don't get him wrong he loved Amy more than anything, but he loved his freedom more and the idea of him being tied down didn't sit well for him. Amy and their friends had helped and planned the whole thing and had let him chose colours and things he would like to combine with Amy's ideas as they were going in as equals in their relationship.
Amy believed that if you can't compromise on your wedding day then it wouldn't work throughout your marriage, she wanted to share Sonic's happiness and help him through his pain and lessen his burdens.
Another problem for Sonic was three weeks ago he met another girl and found her fascinating, she was smart, beautiful and knew how to make him laugh and best of all she didn't put any pressure on him to do things he didn't want to do. Clara Rayne Hedgehog was a soft lavender female hedgehog with gentle chocolate eyes and two spikes that was held back by welding goggles, black jeans and grey t-shirts with steel cap boots when she was working on engines, but when she cleaned herself up she was a sight to see. Clara was beautiful with or without make-up and didn't need to dress up to get his attention.
For those weeks Sonic was flirting with Clara and she playfully flirted back, while spending time with Clara they were never alone as Clara's friend Willow Anne Fox was always there holding Clara's hand and stealing her attention from him. Willow was a pretty little thing with snow white fur with pink tips on her ears and tail with soft pink curls upon her head in waves, Willow was more into dresses on occasion but mostly wore shorts with tank tops or black legging under purple skirts. Every time that Sonic wanted to be alone with Clara, Willow would be sitting too close for it to be normal, why didn't that fox didn't take the hint that he and Clara didn't want her there on their dates and had to put up with the annoyance.
None of Sonic's friends knew about Clara, not even Tails and the two tailed fox knew every secret that Sonic had all except this one thing. Amy Rose was the kind of girl any boy would want to have, she was super sweet, a great fighter after Shadow taught her to fight, strong and resilient who never stepped back from anything when fighting Eggman and could make a mean Chilli-dog just the way he liked them- despite this Sonic did love Amy but in a brotherly way and not as a husband would love his future wife.

Sally Acorn had never seen such a beautiful bride as she wiped away a tear as she clasped the necklace around Amy's neck with a simple princess cut sapphire diamond with matching earrings as something blue, Blaze gave Amy a golden tennis bracelet with luck charms as something new as Vanilla and Cream gave an old cameo brooch as something borrowed and a pretty satin lace veil as something old. Finally ready Knuckles entered the room with Rouge's red lipstick around his mouth and his tie askew, Amy giggled knowing that Knuckles and Rouge couldn't keep their hands of each other
Wiping the lipstick and fixing his tie before walking into the Bride Suite Knuckles stood in utter awe to see Amy looking so grown up, as any protective big brother Knuckles pressed a little kiss on top of her head telling her she looked like a princess then in the same breath told Amy that if Sonic hurt her he had to answer to him. "Thanks Knux, I'll keep that in mind. I love you." Said Amy tearfully giving Knuckles a hug- Knuckles could only take so much affection as he patted her on the back and mumbled out he loved her too. Smiling down at Amy the red Echidna placed her tiny hand in the crook of his muscled arm and took her to the awaiting car.
At the church everyone in Mobius was waiting for this special occasion between the Hero of Mobius and his Fan Girl wedding, most of the people were Sonamy fans were excited about this day and were there to witness this moment, while others thought that Amy and Sonic shouldn't happen and that other people were better suited to them.
Amy was nervous thinking that Sonic wouldn't be at the altar or something was going to happen, Cream and Sally each took the Bride's hands and told her that everything would be fine. Smiling at her Flower Girl and Maid of Honour knowing what she was feeling was nerves and knew that Sonic would be there waiting for her just as nervous as she is.
The car finally arrived at the church and the bride and her bridesmaids stepped out as Knuckles went up ahead to make sure the Blue Blur was at the altar before returning to Amy, everyone in Mobius was there to watch the bride enter the church as reporters took pictures as Sally's royal guards kept them back. Sally didn't want anyone to spoil this day for the hedgehog she thought of as a little sister and for her blue friend.
Inside the church the doors opened and Sonic felt like lead weights were on his feet and the blue of the sky beckoned him to flee, all he could think of was Clara Rayne and if she was thinking of him as he did of her- turning his head he glared at the black and red hedgehog sitting in the back of the church. Sonic didn't want the Faker here on his important day especially as Shadow wanted Ames, ever since that day at the Ark when Amy convinced the ultimate lifeform to save the earth instead of destroying it- he had a soft spot for Cream and a strong affection for Amy that soon turned to love. This feeling came stronger for Shadow when Amy and the influences of the Royal Acorn gave Shadow his freedom and work along side G.U.N. as a free agent like Rouge and E-123 Omega.
Sonic knew that Shadow wanted to court Amy in his throwing his coat over a puddle kind of way, but Amy loved him and was marrying him and Shadow had stepped to one side for Rose just to make her happy. Sonic did love Amy and cared a great deal for her, but it wasn't the type of love where he wished to be tied down to in a committed relationship. The closer that Amy and Knuckles came to the altar the more of the dread he felt and it was getting worse as he stuttered out his vows looking into the soft emerald eyes filled with love for him and Sonic couldn't continue with the lie any longer- just as the priest asked if there was any reason why Sonic and Amy should not marry to speak now or forever hold their peace.
It was at that moment that Sally Acorn wanted to kill someone as Knuckles and Silver held Shadow back from ripping out Sonic's spine as the coward didn't need it as the blue hedgehog told the heartbroken pink hedgehog he wasn't in love with her anymore and was in love with someone else, but what made it worse for Amy was that Sonic said if they could still be friends. Amy closed in on herself and nothing felt real as everything became a blur as Sally Acorn broke Sonic's nose and told him to leave before she did anymore damage to his face. Sonic turned his attention to Tails who looked shocked before his look of shock turned to disgust as he told him to leave as he had done enough, Tails ignored Sonic in favour of Amy who was in a daze trying to hold back her tears. A part of Sonic felt guilty that he hurt Amy the way he did as a part of him wanted to hold Amy and wipe away her tears but like the first of many he was the reason that Amy was crying and he had no right to comfort her- looking over at Amy who was surrounded by her friends "I'm sorry Ames, I hope one day you'll forgive me." Without looking back Sonic sped out of the church and straight to Clara Rayne ready to start a new relationship with her.
