A scene soon showed a vast landscape of space before it narrowed onto one world in particular.

The world, a truly glorious place. For the very first time, we are going to take a look at this world in depth, and at the species that inhabits the planet, in all corners of the earth….

Out in space, small meteors float in space as they were rotating in the air. But there was something unusual about these meteors…. They were, Alive.

That species is all connected, created by one creature and made out to over 800 discovered creatures, captured and seen in regions around the world.

On the surface of the planet, a glimpse of a small catlike creature floated by the camera, before the scene shows dozens of different creatures in an open field area, all doing different things.

We call these creatures…..Pokemon.

Short for "Pocket Monsters", these wondrous creatures can be found in many different places all over the world. On the land...in the seas...even flying across the skies. These creatures can live just about anywhere.

In a particular City, some of these pokemon were even seen with Humans.

We have developed ways to tame these creatures. People who keep and train pokemon are called Trainers. These trainers use these pokemon to battle or become companions.

However, what you are about to experience today cannot be often seen by becoming trainers. You are going to see Pokemon in their natural habitats. How they live each and everyday in the wild. How they thrive and survive all over this world of ours.

Gather round and look closely. This is the world of pokemon like you've never seen it before.

The scene soon changed to a large and massive desert.

The desert...one of the massive and most widely known uninhabitable areas in the world. However, pokemon have been known to even inhabit this environment as well. For this endeavor, we applied a camera to a specific pokemon to allow better view of the environment.

Stepping into view was a wolf like creature with orange fur with rocks sticking out of it.

A Lycanroc.

The Lycanroc let out its signature cry as if to acknowledge itself.

Commonly found in the Alola Region, Lycanroc are pokemon who share similar traits as the canine species of wolves. They come in a number of forms depending on the time of day they were either born or evolved. This particular form was discovered most recently, known commonly as the "Dusk" form.

The Dusk form Lycanroc took off into the sands with the camera following it.

Dusk Form Lycanroc, are quite few in numbers compared to their Midday and Midnight relatives. They are normally calm and quiet. But when a fight begins, they tend to show ferocious fighting tendencies.

As Lycanroc walked across the sands, it soon stood its ground as rising from the sands were numerous rocky looking snake creatures.

And speaking off fights… here comes one now. And against a number of Onix no less.

Compared to Lycanroc, the onix were several times bigger than it. But the Wolf Pokemon did not back down.

Among the many Rock types discovered over the years, Onix are undoubtedly one of the more formidable ones to encounter in the wild. Its rocky exterior was developed through digging through the ground and absorbing many hard objects.

One alone is a challenge to anything, pokemon or Trainer. But these numbers would make anyone think twice about crossing a pack this size.

Anyone, perhaps...except for a determined Lycanroc.

One of the Onix roared and launched its body head first at the lone wolf pokemon. Lycanroc jumped as it then struck down onto the Onix's head, knocking it out as it then lunged at another to attack it.

Before the Onix could react, the Lycanroc was coated in a bright sheen and charged at the rock snake with great speed, hitting it square in the head.

And there is one of Lycanroc's signature moves, shared with the Midday Form, Accelerock. But that isnt the only move it shares with its brethren…

Lycanrock landed on the ground as another Onix went to attack it, slamming it with a Headnutt and sending it skidding back. However, Lycanroc's eyes glinted as it struck back with a powerful counterattack that dealt massive damage to the Rock Snake.

And that is it. A Move frequently used by the Midnight Lycanroc, Counter. A Fighting type move, which to rock types, is Super Effective.

Lycanroc then continued on its way as it cautiously looked at vulture like creatures diving down over a couple of skeletons.

While Lycanroc has fought off its attackers, it is cautious around a new species. Mandibuzz, otherwise known as the bone vulture pokemon.

Lycanroc looked at the Bone Vultures as they continued to attack the skeletons.

Mandibuzz are particularly attracted to bones, as implied in their name. They use them for their nests, and personal Vanity. Luckily they aren't aggressive unless their offspring are in danger. So the Lycanroc can just go around them.

Lycanroc soon walked away from the scene as it passed a few cactus-like creatures chasing a tumbleweed as it approached a small oasis.

An oasis, a virtual miracle in deserts like these where water is plentiful for the creatures who live here. After all, water is vital if life is to thrive out here in the harsh unforgiving desert.

The Wolf Pokemon stopped at the spring to drink after a bit of workout.

Remember, pokemon can live anywhere. So, to even a small patch of water, it would be no surprise to see an unexpected life form in a desert such as this one. Even to species that normally aren't found out here.

The bushes soon shook as walking out was a small chick-like creature.

A Torchic.

The Torchic hopped over to the spring to get a drink itself, which the Lycanroc didn't seem to mind all that much.

As it is one of three starter pokemon that trainers receive in the Hoenn Region before starting their journey, it is rare to see one out in the wild and in person, rather than being given to you in a laboratory.

Torchic carry their inner flame somewhere inside their body. And as such, are embraced very often by trainers who receive them because they are fluffy and warm like some sort of stuffed animal. While they are understandably nervous at first to any trainer, they progressively gain confidence as they evolve into their later stages.

The Lycanroc bats an eye at the Torchic, who understandably gets nervous and skitters away.

For now however, the young Chick will have to steer clear of its superior. With a drink taken, Lycanroc proceeds to head off as a much larger pokemon comes for its own drink.

Lycanroc looked on to see a large sandstorm swirling towards it as it moved as it approached the oasis. It soon cleared to show a large hippo-like creature drinking from the waters.

This is Hippowdon. Capable of spewing out large quantities of sand from its body. However, this creature sometimes ends up getting stones stuck inside. But...it does have help with those.

As it drank, a small hermit crab-like creature crawled over Hippowdon as it worked to dislodge a stone from a hole in its body.

This little Dwebble works hard to make stones for its home and often works to dislodge these stones from Hippowdon, earning the large creatures protection in return.

Lycanroc began making its way towards its home before it heard a growl.

It seems that going home will have to wait, as our creature now has one more fight on its hands.

Emerging from a hidden cavern was a large armored creature with hard green armor as it roared.

Tyranitar. A creature that's always eager for battle.

The large creature growled as it stomped towards the Wolf pokemon.

Tyranitar's, much like this one, are very powerful. They are said to demolish entire mountains to make their nests, and roam in them to seek new challenges.

They do this because their bodies are remarkably durable. They can endure any sort of attack, and shrug it off as if it was a light tap. Normally, Tyranitar ignores opponents that it thinks are weaker than itself….

But in the case of Lycanroc… its attention has been piqued.

The Armored pokemon roared before charging towards lican rock and prepared to execute the ROck Smash move on Lycanroc. The wolf pokemon dodged as it made a deep impression in the ground as it landed back on the ground. It then made its counter attack by using Rock Tomb, battering Tyranitar's body, but the pokemon didn't seem to feel a thing as the rocks crumbled around it. It roared as it slammed its tail on the ground, causing an earthquake as Lycanroc jump and countered. This continued for awhile as Lycanroc later limped towards a cave late in the night.

With the long fought battle over, Lycanroc returns to its cave where it works to heal.

A night scene showing the desert at night is shown as a dragon like creature flies across its sands.

As a Flygon signals that night has begun, many creature head off to sleep as nocturnal creatures rise up. As one can see, the desert is a place where even the pokemon can live lives. Which is why you will enjoy our little 8 part documentary series on this Pokemon World of ours.
