Okay, Color me shocked there is only one other Louise as a gamer crossover and it was a one shot. Anyways, I hope you enjoy this introductory chapter.

Introduction

Brimir save me

It was the day after the summoning ritual for the students of Tristain's academy of magic and almost every student had summoned some sort of familiar. With the exception of one girl. Louise. She didn't even get an explosion from attempting to cast the spell. She had just been met with nothing. Nothing at all. No explosion, no smoke and no casting. It was a monumental failure. One worse than usual, however hard that was to imagine. She had fallen to her knees in front of all the other students after trying five times to no effect. The jeers and scorn she recieved from the students around her were meaningless. They were normal for her.

What scared and distraught her the most was that she would never be recognized as a mage by royal society. Second to that was her mother's reaction. She knew her mother would be furious. She had half expected her mother to come riding into the academy weapon in hand to extract her there and then. However, that night a letter from her mother reached the academy. The headmaster personally delivered it to her.

It read like this.

"Dear Louise

I am not mad at you for your initial failures at summoning a familiar. However, I expect you to study hard as you have done up until now. The headmaster has expressed his wish to me that you continue to study at his school. He strongly impressed upon me your academic excellence and that it should not be undersold. Therefore I will give you three years more to summon a familiar. If you can not do it by then, I will have you extracted from the school by my own hands if I have to.

Continue to study hard and reach success"

Louise was relieved to get such good news in light of her recent failures.

That night she lay in bed thinking about getting out. Maybe packing up her bags and maybe heading home if she could not find a way to summon a familiar after a year. A tear fell from her right eye, rolling down her cheek and on to her pillow, followed by another. Then another. The reality of the situation was sinking in. She had deluded herself into thinking things would be okay after getting the letter. She even tried the summoning again in secret after school, but it amounted to nothing. She got up and she stood at her doorstep trying to figure out what went wrong, her tears slowly slipping into her palm, twinkling in the light, then were gone.

She remembered one of the talks she had with her father as a young girl before she went to the academy. Before everything went dreadfully wrong.

He had said while looking to her, "Louise, we're lucky in this world, it's a beautiful place to be born. Magic just wraps its arms around you. You feel it too, nobody bothers you and no noble is alone. You know the magic in your blood and very being means certain things are set in stone. Who we are, what we'll do and what we won't".

At that moment her eyes lit up with hope from the memory. Maybe she could do it. Maybe she could become a mage.

At that moment something popped up in front of her. It was a clear blue box that had something written on it.

[A quest is created: Do you accept? Y/N]

Wiping her tears away, she looked at it. Perhaps she had finally lost it. The stress and bullying had finally gotten to her. Now she was seeing things. She was fully convinced that she had gone delirious.

"Why not? I accept your quest. I've already gone batty" she said with a slightly crazed smile.

[Quest objective: Get a good night's rest]

[Reward: Ten stamina Experience. A clearer mind, and one beginner's Mana Potion]

"Hahahahaha" She laughed. The situation was absurd. Even her delirium hallucinations were telling her to get sleep. Regardless of the absurd situation, whatever she hallucinated was not wrong. She was exhausted and sad. Sleep would be best for her.

Walking over to her bed, she lay down and closed her eyes, quickly drifting off to a restful sleep.

And cut. I hope you enjoyed the short intro. The next chapters will be much longer. Please tell me your thoughts and ideas in reviews.
