Author's note: I came up with a potential crossover story with Pokémon and Katekyō Hitman Reborn! Depending how well the first chapter does, I might consider continuing it onward. Anyway, enjoy the chapter!

Prologue

"What!? I'm the New Mafia Boss?!

{...}

"I still can't believe we won, Pikachu!" The newly crowned Champion of the Galar region and his longtime partner were walking down the dirt road of his hometown of Pallet Town towards his house. Coming off a fresh victory over the former, undefeated Champion Leon in the final round of the Pokémon World Coronation Series, the pair decided to head home and surprised the Trainer's mother with another championship trophy.

"Pika!" The yellow mouse squeaked in agreement.

Ash continued to walk down the dirt path towards his home, unbeknownst that they were being followed by a mysterious man in a black suit with black shades and a shaved head. He was slowly creeping up behind the young Champion, hoping the teen's starter Pokémon wouldn't detect his suspicious presence. When his house came into view, Ash happily sprinted forward, startling the mysterious man to pick up the pace and chased after the teen. However, as soon as the young teen was inching closer, another man dressed in a similar fashion like the first man, but with a scruffy beard and short brown hair stood firmly in the teen's way.

Ash immediately skidded into a complete halt as he eyed the suspicious man cautiously. No long sooner, Ash and Pikachu heard loud heavy breathing behind them as they quickly glanced back to see the shaved headed man on his knees, trying to catch his breath.

Ignoring his associate's predicament, the brown haired man turned his focus onto his primary target. "Hey, kid," Ash and Pikachu immediately turned their attention back to him as he spoke. "By chance, is your name Ash Ketchum?"

Ash eyed the mobster very suspiciously as he responded, "What if I am?"

Paying no heed to the Champion's sarcastic taunt, the man replied back, "Well, then...you just made our job a lot more easy." Ash shifted into a defensive position as Pikachu's cheeks were sparking dangerously at the man's words. "Don't resist. Just come with us." he ordered.

In all his years dealing with Team Rocket and their shenanigans, Ash knew these guys were bad news, or to his assumptions they were. Wasting no time, the newly crowned Champion acted. "Pikachu, Thunderbolt!"

The yellow mouse quickly obeyed his Trainer's order and leaped off his shoulder and into the air. "PPPIIKKKKKAAAAA-CHHHHHHUUUUUU!" He fired a powerful Thunderbolt directly at the two mobster men.

They screamed in agony, feeling the full effects of the electric attack surging through their bodies. The Thunderbolt electrocuted the two men until their bodies were completely roasted with steam leaking out afterwards. They fell to the ground with loud thuds.

"See ya~!" Ash with Pikachu back on his shoulder ran past the burnt toast man and entered the house.

"...Maybe...I came out a little bit too strong.." He coughed weakly and then fainted.

"Mom! I'm home!" Ash called out once he was inside.

However, things were becoming worrisome when he didn't see his mother or hear any sort of response coming back for him. The house was awkwardly quiet. "Mom?" He slowly advanced forward with Pikachu being on his guard. Pikachu had a strong feeling something didn't feel right the moment they entered inside.

When they entered the living room, they momentarily dropped their guard when they saw Delia was sitting on the sofa. Right by her side was Professor Oak. They were okay, for now. Unfortunately, however, they weren't alone. More of the familiar mobster men were surrounding the sofa. "Mom!"

"Ash!" the young mother cried out to her son. They tried to stand up from the couch and greeted her boy, but one of the mobster men firmly pushed her back down to her seat.

Ash tried to hurry over to his mother's side, however, the other men in black stood in his way, preventing the teen from advancing any further. "Hey!" The young Champion growled as he backed away.

"Pi-ka!" Pikachu was going to put these jokers in their place until a new voice echoed the room.

"I assure you, those two will be fine. Just as long as you're willing to cooperate with us, young man." Ash and Pikachu immediately glanced back to the doorway where they see a young man with long black hair and grey eyes. He wore a black loose hoodie with a white inner T-shirt and black jeans. He was emitting an immerse aura presence, so strong that even Ash can sense it with beads of sweat dripping down. This guy...he was no ordinary person. Accompanying the young man were the two earlier mobsters. They were still feeling the after effects of Pikachu's Thuderbolt as their bodies were still smoking to a crisp as they entered the living room.

The black haired man approached the young Champion. Everyone could easily tell he towered over Ash due to his physical appearance and height. Ash felt a bit nervous when the man was glaring down at him, but he didn't back down as he glared right back at him.

There was an intense awkward moment until the intimidating man finally spoke up again. "One of my men asked you this earlier. Is your name Ash Ketchum?" His firmly voice demanded.

Ash hesitated at first, but eventually repeated his earlier response. "What if I am?"

The older male slowly closed his eyes and absorbed the latter's snorty answer. "I see," There was a moment of awkward pause. Even his men were feeling a bit uncomfortable what he was thinking. But soon the situation became even more awkward when he suddenly dropped to a knee and lowered his head, almost as if he was showing respect to Ash. "It's an honor to finally meet the new head of the AURA Family, Boss." His voice was stern yet full with respect.

"B-B-B-Boss?!" Ash repeated slowly with a puzzled look on his face.

"Pika?!"

The man simply nodded his head without making eye contact with the confused, "soon-to-be" head leader of a mafia organization called AURA Family. He was joined by the rest of the mobster men as they too kneeled and bowed respectfully to their new mafia boss.

"Boss!" they said in unison.

"E-E-EHHHHHHHHHHH?!"

"P-P-PIIKKKAAAAAAA?!"

Well..that was an interesting development for our dear boy Ash. He got himself a mafia. Speaking of which, since Tsuna has 7 Guardians in his mafia family. Ash too will have 7 members to be part of his elite mafia. The question is...who? Well, that's where you guys come in. You guys can decide those 7. Just list them in the review section and in the coming weeks I will tally up the most mentions and those lucky 7 will be part of Ash's mafia. Also, since Ash is the leader it would make sense he has both Pikachu and Lucario in the story. The rest of the family will only have their top ace and nothing more.
