I've been in the town Hidden Springs for two weeks now.
My mother wasn't too happy with me just ditching home the way I did. But she understood that I was 25 years old and I needed to get out into the world to start my life.
So far it's been pretty quiet here. I live next to the player Ramirez and the Edson mother across the street.
I can barely afford to keep my roof above my head. My job was playing my guitar on Friday's and the weekends at the local bar. But as the days passed on I was getting more desperate for cash.
I would play randomly on the street and would make maybe 20 sims dollars on the best of days. On time a woman named Bella Goth offered me some cash if I slept with her. Of course I told her no because one times were not my style.
Or rather I wasn't looking for love right now. Besides what girl would like a guy that can barely make his bills on time and plays guitar beside the street begging for cash?
This was the way my life was right now. One bedroom apartment with a small kitchen and my only friend being my guitar.
I thought as I yawned slightly as I headed out for another night at the same old bar to my crappy jalopy.
"Hey neighbor how you doing?"
"Doing great. Going out to work right now actually."
"At the Drunked Bar right? I've played there before myself and the pay sucks. Want me to come help you and earn us both some more dough?"
"Nah dude it's cool. Seeya Ramirez."
"Seeya lad. Oh hold on I need advice-"
"Advice for what?"
"How to get a smoking hot date that's what?"
"I'm not the best person to ask. I've never had a girlfriend."
"Wow really Aldeen? You sure had me fooled. Well if you see any girls that are single can you lead them my way?"
"Sure thing."
"Thanks man you're awesome."
I forced a polite smile as I climbed into my car and drove off to another crappy night.
~"Thanks for applause guys. It really means a lot to me. This has been Jason Aldeen. I'll see you again Saturday at 9pm so don't miss it!"
I said forcing most of joy since I barely got any claps at my performance.
It was the usual since I've moved here. I was used to it already.
I stepped off the stage hiding my disappointment with another smile. And then an even harder one as girls asked me to take a selfie with them.
I quickly wrapped it up, politely turning down one of them asking me to go on a date, and headed out with my $50 and guitar case.
It's already midnight. I'm not going to get much sleep tonight.
As I was about to leave I spotted my neighbor Ramirez with an arm around a blonde girl outside the bar. For a guy asking me advice on how to ask a girl out he sure works fast without any.
I shook my head in slight amusement and tiredly headed home.
~"OHHHH REYNALDO!!!"
I jolted awake as I heard the sound of a woman shout. I looked around in confusion and I heard the shouting again. It was coming from my neighbors house.
I pushed aside my curtain next to my bed to look at my neighbor Ramirez's house. The light was off but I heard the very loud noises of a bed squeaking.
I sighed and turned to my clock to see it was 3am. I yawned again as I tucked myself back in and tried to go back to sleep.
But I soon found out it was impossible. They were at it very loudly. I heard nothing but nonstop lewd noises.
I laid there for a while waiting for them to stop but they still kept at it.
I lost track of how much time passed before my neighbor's house finally went quiet. I tiredly turned to the clock to see it was already 5am.
They kept me up for two hours. I typically only get six hours of sleep and sleeping only four boy was I going to be tired later.
I groaned tiredly as I fell back to sleep trying to get some of my last hour.
It passed by like nothing and I groaned in annoyance as I turned off my ringing alarm clock.
I went to the kitchen my tired body begging for a cup of coffee before I went to gym to go workout and maybe play my guitar a little.
I was not in the mood for anything but I didn't want to start faltering with my daily schedule.
Even though I was exhausted I put on some comfortable gym clothes packed up my guitar and headed to the local gym.
~I ran a bit on the treadmill energizing myself just enough to play one song for those working out.
It was a song I came up with myself. I called it Ray of Sunshine.
It was about cheering yourself up to get to the next day and onward.
It made me happy in spite of everyone ignoring me I hardly cared. I just joyfully played and sang my song.
I played to the last note feeling totally relaxed that I didn't expect to hear a clap.
I looked up in surprise to see a red head lady clapping at my perfomance in joyfull exaggeration.
"Wow that sounded amazing."
"Oh uh thank you."
"Did you write it youself? I don't think I recognize it."
"Yeah I did. It's called Ray of Sunshine."
"Well it definitely was a ray of sunshine. That sounded so beautiful and heartfelt. I couldn't resist clapping. You're so good."
"It's not that good. It's nothing special."
"It is though. It makes me feel like I heard the beauty of living. It was just so touching. I can't even explain how good it is."
"Oh well thanks again."
"Do you come here often? I would love to come and hear you again."
My face flushed a slight pink at her comment but I kept my composure and responded.
"In the mornings around this time."
"Great! I can't wait to see you play again."
"Okay. I'm Jason Aldeen by the way."
"Jackie Summers."
We shook hands briefly and I couldn't explain it but seeing her warm smile just made my day. I felt happier than I did even ever since I moved here.
I quickly realized I was still holding her hand and sheepishly let it go.
"Seeya around Jason."
"Oh seeya Jackie."
I watched her walk away. And to my surprise I was smiling.
Her style was 60s era but it just suited her seemingly cheerful personality.
I chuckled a bit before looking into my guitar case to see a 5 dollar bill.
"Woot 60 dollars in my wallet. I should definitely have enough for new clothes now."
Could this day get any better?
