As our protaganist was making his way back to his agency he suddenly heard screams of a woman shouting.
As he turned his hell and dashed towards the source he found the answer in an alleyway.
A man around 19 years of age and he was holding a knife to a 30 years old lady's throat.
"Shut up this doesn't have to be complicated just give me your money you old hag." The criminal shouted his hands shaking.
As Izuku noticed his body he realized that there teenager was malnourished.
"Sir" Shouted Izuku announcing his presence
"I would appreciate if you let the woman go"
As Izuku brought his palm forwards compressing the air for a normal blast nothing too harmful he once again decided to warn him.
"I don't want to resort to violence. Please let the lady go."
Hearing this must have amused the criminal as he snorted and laughed a little.
"Are you kidding me. N.not wanting to resort to violence. That's all you heroes do. Y..you guys always resort to violence." As the guys said this he brought the knife close to the throat of the woman.
'He's clearly doing this act of of desperation. His stuttering means that he is hesitant but also panicked. If I take action he could either freeze up or mess up and kill the lady. He's using a knife meaning his quirk isn't powerful.'
As Dekiru contemplated this he saw some scars on his hands which were unnoticed earlier. They looked like burn scars and they looked very old.
'Fire quirk I'll be able to counter that easily'
As Dekiru dashed towards the man he first created a sphere of vacuum a in front of the knife so that it would go flying into it.
Luckily the criminals grip on the knife wasn't firm so that happened exactly.
As he compressed air on the palm of his hand he reached forwards and shot a blast straight to the criminals chest as he went flying. He had made sure that the blast wasn't strong enough to seriously damage or hurt the man.
But as it turned out Dekiru had overestimated the man's weight. Which again was concerning.
As the man landed and became unconscious he turned towards the lady to ask her
"Are you alright ma'm, Any injuries?" He asked in a calm voice
"No, I don't have any injuries. Oh boy I can't thank you enough for saving me"
"No problem after all this is my job" He said as he shot his brightest smile to the lady.
Seeing this the lady brightened up and smiled back.
"Now if your don't mind I'll have to take him to the police station he" says as he picks up the man as he binds the man's hands with capture tape.
Normally the capture tape was pretty useless as a powerful villian could break it easily so he kept it in his suit just as a feature but seeing how lightweight this guy he wasn't going to break it anytime soon.
"Oh boy can you do me a favour?" Asked the lady that he had rescued.
"What favour??"
"Please don't give any harsh punishment to this young lad. He probably hasn't had any food from day and was acting it is desperation"
"Yeah that's what I noticed too but I don't think he'll be let off without a scratch, atleast I can promise that I'll be able to reduce his punishment a bit as he didn't use his quirk so he'll be labeled a criminal and not a villian"
"Oh that's great to hear. Now I've taken enough of your time have a nice day"
"You to ma'm have a nice day"
'Now buddy, Let's serve some fresh Justice...Oh god hanging out with Kamui san is rubbing off on me too much' Thought Dekiru.
'Oh god and I have to deal with him. He's gonna skin me alive isn't he'
As he opened his phone and dialed a number he steeled himself as he knew he wasn't going to get out of this easy.
As the phone rang three times somebody picked it up.
"Hello, Fujiwara Daichi from the Air Jet Hero agency speaking,how may I help you"
"Hey Fujiwara san, It's me Dekiru"
Saying this only earned him a long suffering sigh from the other side.
"What did you do now?"
"Oh well I completed my duty as a hero and uhh I kinda caught a criminal right now. So I was wondering if you could erm you know send one of the sidekicks to you know take him to the station."
"You know what Dekiru I'm not when going to deal with this, here"
As there were some muffled noises on the other side Dekiru regretted every life decision he had ever made.
"Hello" Came a polite and firm voice from the other side as Dekiru panicked. HARD.
"Ohh unm hhii Air Jet san uhm so you see I kinda c..caught this criminal after my shift ended and that's all there is to it,I swear i.i didn't do anything wrong right?? a..after all I did my job"
Saying this caused him to get yet another insufferable sigh from the other side as Dekiru stated sulking.
' I'm starting to see a pattern here and I'm not sure if I like it '
"Dekiru do you know that there is a law stating that heroes aren't allowed to put more than 80 hours of work due to collapse in exhaustion. How many hours did you put this week,and last week,and the week before??"
"More then 80??"
"84 hours this week,90 hours last week and 83 hours the week before that. Honestly where do you get this energy from. I've been in this buisness for 20 years and I haven't crossed to the 80 hour mark yet"
" Oh well you see I kinda you know I just you know, I just do okay dont ask me about it "
Saying this got him a collective insufferable sigh from the other end from both Daichi and Air Jet.
"I'll be sending one of my sidekicks to pick him up."
"Thank you very much Air jet san" Izuku said meekly.
"Also you have the entire next week off. You'll be reporting me on the coming Sunday and not a second before that"
"What??But-" Izuku was going to argue but Air Jet cut him off.
"Izuku I don't care what your excuse is, You already have more villain captures than anybody in the agency and are going to break into the top 20's this year. I have to make sure that you don't collapse from exhaustion. Now you will take a break next week,Or I am going to call your Mom"
"What you can't d..do that I'm not a child you can't just threaten to call my parent." Izuku was trembling in fear wondering what form of wrath his mother would unleash on him if she finds out.
"Oh I can and I will young man, Now enjoy your free leave, A sidekick is on his way."
"Yes Sir"
A few minutes later he handed over the criminal to the sidekick, And he continued to walk home.
At Izuku's Home
As Izuku arrived to his appartement he opened the door and said a quick " I'm home" as he made his way towards the living room.
"Oh Izuku baby you're back??"
"Yes mom." He says as he made his way to the kitchen.
"What did you make today mom??"
"Oh today I decided to make you favourite"
"Katsudon Yay!" Shouted Izuku like a child despite being a licensed pro.
"Yeah yeah now go and wash yourself, I'll serve the for until then"
"Ok mom,Be right back"
A few minutes later
As both of them said "Itadakimasu" and dug in,Or more accurately Izuku started wolfing down Katsudon,Inko decided to speak up.
"So Izuku"
"Hm"
"I got a call from Air Jet san earlier"
Hearing this Izuku started choking on the Katsudon he was eating earlier.
As his mother panicked seeing this she passed a glass of water to him and rubbed his back as he calmed down.
"S..s.so what d.did Air Jet san say to you?? Not anything important I assume hhehe" Saying this Izuku chuckled nervously.
"Oh nothing just you know about how my little baby boy was overworking himself and that he was doing all of this without telling his mother"
Said Inko Midoriya as she gained a dark look in her face.
Seeing this Izuku mumbled under his breath."Traitor" as he thought about how to make it out of this situation alive. Honestly he couldn't find any.
"Ahh you see I just .. you know how hero work is mom. And it's not like I'm getting exhuasted I only put in as much hours I can, Honeslty uhh I was thinking of putting more hours you know so that I can get you a pretty dress for you birthday.
So in conclusion, Plus Ultra I guess??"
" Honey I know that both of us combined make enough money that you could buy me your pretty dresses every month, Don't lie to me, Now why are you overworking yourself?"
Heather this Izuku sighed 'There's no winning against you is there mom'
"Mom do you remember why I said I wanted to become a hero"
" Of course sweety, You and used to watch All might's debut video a lot when you were younger. And you said that you wanted to be able to smile like him and save people. "
"sigh Yeah that's a reason but there's another reason I wanted to become a hero"
"What?"
" I wanted you to be proud of me"
"Oh baby I'm already very proud of you, You won the sports festival in your second and third years and then went on to become a licensed pro hero,and you're already ranked 45 on the hero charts,I couldn't be more proud of you my baby"
"I know Mom, I know but I..I feel like all of this isn't earned.I haven't earned your proudness yet. I ..I have to do better. I want to make it so that you can be proud of me, While I am deserving if your proudness."
"Oh baby you're already so well deserving of my proudness what are you talking about"
"That's the thing Mom, I'm not. You've done so much for me mom, You were always there for me, When the children were teasing me for having a 'weak quirk' you were the one who held my hand and told me that I could be anything in this world. You were there one that helped me master my quirk. Your were the one of requested me not to give up hope when I had gotten only 1 internship offer during my first year at U.A mom.
You, You're so amazing that I can't even compare to you"
As he said up and held her hand and looked into her eyes and smiled.
"You're my hero Mom, And now I'm going to be your's"
"Oh my little baby boy has grown up so much."
As Inko hugged him because she unleashed a torrent of tears that would put a water quirk user to shame.
The night was followed by a lot of crying and waterworks.
The next day
As Izuku was jogging down the street in the Tattoine district, Occasionally waving to the people who recognized him and giving handshakes he saw a lot of commotion in an train crossing.
'A villain attack perhaps'As he went near he saw a giant guy swinging his arms around as he had to suppress his itch to take the villain down himself.
'Stop brain, You're off duty today'
'Come to think of it, Didn't Kamui say he was debuting today, and his agency is also nearby. Hmm maybe I should check If he's here'
As he made his way to the crowd he got to the front to see Kamui woods already fighting the villain.
"Blocking train access and causing traffic during rush hours, You truly are the embodiment of evil. Here villain let me serve you some fresh Justice."
'That sounds terribly similar to what I said last night.Oh god'
As he was thinking this he felt a tug at his sleeve.
As he turned to see what you was he saw kid wearing a gakuran meaning he was in middle School.
The boy had black messy hair and red eyes. Judging from his face he was lookign shy and meek.
"Yes?"
"I..i.i recognize you. You're the Pro hero Dekiru r r.r.right?"
"Oh yeah that I am. I'm actually surprised you recognize me I'm not all that popular." He said rubbing the back of his head
"W.w.hat are you talking about, you're ranked 45 on the hero charts you are very popular.Uhm w.w.would you mind signing this book for me"
"Oh sure here, So your name is??"
"Deku"
"Deku?? Isn't that kanji for"
Seeing this the boy started flaling his arms meekly in panic.
"No it's just my friends call me that that's why it's sort of a nickname. Can you also sign for 'Kacchan' please."
"Oh sure" Izuku says as He signed the book
"I.i wanted to ask you something"
"Go ahead then"
"Well i.i.its about your quirk. I.i.i I also have a quirk that lets me push and pull things but it's pretty weak. D.d.do you think I can become a hero with it."
"Of course you can, You know my quirk was also very weak when I first entered U.A. I barely passed the entrance exam and was at the bottom of my class"
"R.r.really but you're strong now"
"Mhmm that I am " Dekiru said as he nodded
"And I became stronger because I was trained by a good mentor. There's why if you out your heart and soul into it I'm sure you too can become a splendid hero"
"T t.tthank you"The kid- Deku said as he blinked away the tears in his eyes
"Now hurry along kid you're going to be late."
"Y..y.yeah bye bye Dekiru sir" he shouted as he ran sing the footpath.
'Man I should check up in Kamui that villain looked strong'
Izuku and Kamui were actually very good friends and we're practically glued to each other during his third year but had started hanging out less due to Kamui's last year in U.A and Dekiru's first year as a hero. But now that they had neighbouring agencies he hoped that he would be able to meet him more often.
As he made his way to where the photographers had been earlier he sees Kamui talking too another lady that was also wearing a hero suit.
'A fellow employee perhaps."
"Heya Kamui Kun how are you doing" Izuku said as he waved to him.
"Oh Midoriya senpai hello Im doing fine, How are you"said Kamui turning to him and giving him a high five.
"Your know you could have really helped taking down that villain, Why aren't you in your suit?
"Oh I'm on a day off today dont worry,Just put in too much hours last week. So how did you debut go??"
"Oh it went great, well that was until someone decided to bug in and take all the credit"
Hearing this the girl that head been ghosting they're conversation perked up and chimed in
"Oh come on Kamui don't be a spoil sport all is fair in love and war."
"That was neither love not war what are you talking about"
"Oh well you won't get it. Anyways Hi" Mt lady said turning towards Izuku "I'm mount lady at your service, How may I be of you ass-istance."He says as she turned around and pointed her but towards Izuku.
Not expecting this Izuku practically combusted on the spot.
"Enough of this Midoriya senpai is on leave today let him relax and have some shame"
"W..well" Izuku said still flustered from the rather..generous introduction"Don't let me interrupt you guy's work."
"Oh yeah we have to go on patrol."
"Yeah well the best for your first day Kamui san.Bye bye"
"Bye" said both of them as Mt lady blew him a kiss. Leaving Izuku flustered again.
A few hours later
As Izuku arrived to his home he got into the living room and sat down. He had worked it this morning and then went for a jog so that head left him tired.
But now after a few hours he was feeling good
As he was scrolling down his phone he suddenly heard it ring as he checked to see,It was his mom.
"Hey Izuku sorry I'm in a bit of a hurry, but I'll send you an address and you have to pick up some documents from there can you do it"
"Oh yeah sure Mom just send me the location and
I'll get there"
"Oh thank you so much Izuku and I'm sorry I'm making you run around in your work day."
"Oh no problem Ma I'll get to it"
As he cut the phone and waited for get Mom to send her message he saw a news article saying some sludge villain was being chased by All Might on the Villain alert app.
'Eh nothing All might can't take'
As he got the location he took out his shoes as he had seen where the place was which was not very far way and wanted to roam around more
