Hermionie Granger layer in bed. She was terrified. She had recently been informed that she was a witch and that her parents (for some odd reason) were being hunted by You-Know-Who (nobody would tell her the real name) She was only 4 but her parents had run away to keep her safe and now she was hiding in her bed as the adults argued what should happen to her. That night Lilly and James Potter (Who in this story did not change their secret keeper to Peter so they are alive but in hiding) came in to get Hermionie. They brought her to their little secret house and then erased the memory of the whole thing so when she woke up in the morning she was convinced she was Hermionie Potter twin of Harry Potter (Hermionies bday was now celebrated on July 31st so it would make sence) Hermionie and Harry grew up happy but scared. They knew that You-Know-Who or his followers would hunt them so they were in hiding, and because Hermionie and Harry only knew each other they were best friends.
6 years later
"HERMIONIE!!! WAKE UPPPPP" Harry exclaimed! It was their 10th bday and they were very exited! The two of them hurried down stairs. "Good morning 10 year old" their mother Lilly Potter said, Remus and Sirius are bringing Rowan and Sadie over for lunch and I made pancakes!" Remus Lupin and Sirius Black were their father James Potters best friends. His other best friend Peter Petigrew was a death eater who was in Azkaban after he tried to help Voldemort murder them. "What about the Weasleys?" Hermionie asked, the Weasleys were a big family and the mother was one of Lilly's friends. They had 7 kids and came over pretty often. "Oh Molly said she would bring Ron, Ginny, Fred and George over later for dinner. Their dad walked down stairs and sat down at the table.
Lilly's POV
I had a decision to make. 6 years ago when Hermionies parents had to run and left Hermionie, Dumbledoor forbid me and James to tell Hermionie we weren't her real parents till Harry's 10th birthday. Of course Hermionie was almost 11 but this was the day. We had to decide. When we took her in we performed memory charms so she didn't have to remember this but I was worried. We had to decide wether or not to send them to Hogwarts and even if we said she's a Granger the death eaters will want her to. Luckily the problem solved itself for me.
General POV
Hermionie walked up to her parents and said, "Why do I have brown hair?" James and Lilly were taken by surprise but it was a good question. James had messy black hair and hazel eyes, Lilly had red hair and green eyes. Harry was a combination of the two, he had his fathers hair and looks just like him other then his eyes, he had his mother's eyes. Hermionie on the other hand had large front teeth, bushy brown hair and brown eyes. All though her eyes were close enough to James for her to believe it her hair was always different. "Well...," Lilly said. She decided if she were Hermionie she'd want the truth so she told her the whole story. Hermionie stared at them while Harry just gaped in the background. Harry was the first to speak, "Wait.. so is today her actual birthday?" He asked, Well no, James admitted, her birthday is on September 19th." "Wait so that means she's gonna be 11 in a month?" "Yes." Lilly responded. Hermionie ran off to the room she shared with Harry crying. Harry ran off after her, even though it was his room too he still knocked on the door, "Can I come in?" He asked, "Of course." Hermionie responded. Harry walked in, saw Hermionie crying into a pillow and just sat down on his bed next to her. About 20 minutes later James and Lilly knocked on the door and walked in. "I'm so sorry Hermionie honey" Lilly said, "if you want we can still pretend your my twin," Harry said. "Well I'm guessing she will want to celebrate on her real birthday but if you want that's totally okay," "I think I would prefer if everything stayed the same" Hermionie said, "Well then, Happy Birthday honey. If you want I can tell Remus and Sirius to wait and come later." "No it's fine. But I do have a question?" Yes?" "Does everybody else know?" Everyone who was in the order. But if you want we can not tell them you know and if you guys go to Hogwarts we can say your Harry's twin" James replied. "I'd like that" Hermionie smiled.
