December 15th, 1978. The day the world would change forever. That day the world was introduced to their greatest hero of all time. The world was introduced to the "The Champion of Tomorrow", "The Knight of the World", "The Greatest Protector of Man", Powerman. An extraordinary man with abilities derived from the yellow sun blessing him Superhuman Strength, Speed, Flight, Stamina, Durability, Reflexes, Agility, Enhanced hearing, Regenerative Healing Factor, Invulnerability, Self Sustenance and different types of Enhanced Vision. He drew his powers from the yellow sun and was weakened by mind control, ionic radiation, magic, high-pitched frequencies, red sun, blue sun, and electricity.

Powerman, the most powerful man in the universe, protected the Earth from several threats. Some of the power Threats were: Killtrix, a robotic organism created by Powerman to attempt to protect the world from other threats but the program had a mind of it's own and turned on Powerman.

Bolt, a man that was experimented and became a living organism made out of electricity who had hatred for Powerman.

Tyrant, a god-level opposition from another planet with hopes of conquering Earth but was stopped in his tracks by Powerman.

And the biggest threat, Andrew Everstrong, a man that had been a thorn in Powerman's side. A billionaire with an out of this world, intelligence level. His company, Everstrong, industries was one of the world's leading contributors in the technology and engineering field.

For over 40 years, Powerman kept the world safe even uniting a superteam in the process known as The Defenders or The Defenders of Justice to keep the world safe. And with the world being protected, Powerman was able to settle down and have a family. A son and a wife. His son would be born on April 18th, 1996 by the name of Josiah Aryan Queen. He was born to the late Lady Amazon. Lady Amazon was an amazonian warrior who Powerman fell in love with. The two were a couple until her untimely death at the hands of Tyrant himself in the battle of Millennium City.

After the battle, Powerman swore to himself that he would always keep his son safe from anyone that would hurt him. You may ask yourself why I know so much. I can list many reasons why besides the biggest one. I know because I'm his son. My name is Josiah Queen, my father is John Queen otherwise known as Powerman, the greatest hero of all-time. But he wasn't that anymore, well at least no full time anymore. He was simply a Stockbroker making big money to support himself and his son. Enough to have them living in downtown Millennium City in a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment. And coincidentally the apartment's view was facing Millennial tower, the HQ of the Defenders.

"You ready, son?" The 6'8, African American father of Josiah said walking into the living room. John had cocoa brown skin with chocolate brown eyes with black well-groomed eyebrows. He was dressed in a black suit clearly ready to go to work.

"I guess so. I'm not really too crazy on the idea of doing this but gotta make money somehow." Josiah said standing up at about 6'5. He had pecan brown skin due to the fact that his mother was caucasian. He had black well-groomed eyebrows and a low-cut fade with stubble and chocolate brown eyes. He wore dark blue jeans with brown dress shoes and a white button up with a blue plaid vest over it with glasses with black frames.

"Maybe you'll end up liking it just like me. And remind me to get you a suit."

"Business suit or a hero suit. You know Powerboy needs a new suit."

"And Powerboy and Powerman are out of commission. We're not heroes anymore. We're regular people."

"Dad, you're the most powerful man in the entire world and you want to be a regular guy. That's backwards."

"Son having powers doesn't make you the most powerful."

"Then what does?"

"Your heart. I've faced men and women who are more powerful than me but their hearts are what make them weak. The strongest man is a man who always does the right thing. A man who never gives up. A man who continues to fight the good fight."

"Dad, Now you're beginning to talk like Powerman." Josiah said, rolling his eyes. John simply chuckled at his son and walked to the door opening it and walked out. Josiah followed through and closed the door behind and started to get on his way to the office.

(!)

Josiah's day started off very boring. The adult life was boring. He was not expecting it to be like this when he got older. He was expecting flying. A lot of flying. A lot of flying and kicking ass and being a hero. All he ever wanted to be was a hero just like his father. He wanted to be somewhat on the same level of Powerman. Well, that's if it were possible.

"First day?" He heard snapping him out of his train of thought. He turned to look to see a blonde haired woman sitting next to him.

"What?"

"First day?"

"Yeah, can you tell?"

"Well, yeah because I haven't seen you here before." Josiah chuckled and shook his head. Well, that was pretty obvious.

"I-" Josiah was saying but the sound of an explosion in the distance cut him off. Immediately he turned to look in the direction of the explosion looking out of the window looking at the source of the chaos. People started running to the exits as the office doors of executives swung open and they began running out. John came running out of his office and turned to look at his son pointing down to his blinking watch indicating that they needed him. The father and son duo nodded at each other before they ran for the exit just like everyone else. Once the two managed to get down the stairs they ran looked around looking for a place to change into their super suits. Even if they were both part-timers they both made sure to keep their suits nearby whenever they needed them.

"Alleyway!" Josiah shouted as John turned his head and looked. John ran to the alleyway with Josiah following. As John ran, he unbuttoned his shirt showing the white 4 point star with a gold outline that remained a symbol for the hero and the family for a long time. Both men discarded their clothes and bolted up in the air flying off towards the danger. Powerman wore a rather simple suit consisting of black, white and gold. The suit was primarily white with the exception of a gold belt around his waist and gold bracers on the wrist. The top of the suit dipped off into the chest area making a v that branched out onto the shoulders in black. He had a black cape with the family symbol in the center. The inside of the cape was gold. He had black boots with a gold outline on the top of the boots.

Powerboy wore simple black cargo pants with black military boots and a black long sleeve shirt with black fingerless gloves. The center of Powerboy's shirt was the family crest.

"Son, I need you to branch off and make sure that people make it to safety."

"But dad, I can help you."

"That is helping. I can't do two things at once. Just do as I say." Josiah wanted to argue more but sighed and accepted his task given to him. It may not have been much but it was damn sure something. Powerboy did as his father said branching off going down an entirely different path.\

"We're taking heavy fire. We need backup now! I repeat we need backup!" An officer said kneeling down next to a cop car for cover as men began to shoot at him with guns. Clearly they were looking to hurt someone. Their attacks were quickly cut down as Powerboy came down in front of them with a smirk on his face. One of the men began to shoot at Powerboy with an assault rifle which had no effect on the "Boy of Tomorrow" as he grabbed the rifle snatching it out of his hand and breaking it in half with no struggle. Another came running towards Powerboy and tried to melee with the superpower man but it held no use as Powerboy simply punched him knocking him out cold. And before the third one could even think of any offense, Powerboy bolted towards him and thrusted his shoulder into him knocking into the windshield of the car.

"Officers." Powerboy greeted as he turned around and gave them a greeting smile.

"Powerboy, thank god you're here. We got some civilians stuck behind that barricade."

"Alright, I got it." Powerboy looked forward, seeing a flipped over truck standing in his way. He cracked his knuckles and bent down before picking up the truck, lifting it over his head before throwing it off to the side on an empty sidewalk. People came running behind him as he looked around looking for more people to help. He looked over and saw one man stuck in his car as he crashed into another car. The person he hit seemed to have already left leaving him there unconscious. Powerboy walked towards him and ripped his door off the hinges and did a quick x-ray looking for any broken bones. He had a few cracked ribs but nothing else major.

Powerboy reached in grabbing the man, saving him from the car.

"Hey, he needs medical attention." He said as he walked towards an ambulance. The medical officials came running towards him with a stretcher meeting him halfway. He gently placed the man down on the stretcher and looked up at the medical officials giving them a nod. They then walked off dragging the patient off.

He flew up in the air looking for more people to help but his attentions were shifted to a huge blue hole of energy up in the sky. In the distance, Powerboy saw his father flying up into the portal.

"No!" Powerboy shouted as he flew towards his father trying to save him.

"Dad, don't!" Powerboy shouted into the comms as he flew off.

"Son, I have to do this! I need you to stay away!"

"But-"

"Son listen to me! My job is to protect you and this world! Let me do my job! I wish we had more time. Remember I will always love-" Powerman was saying but was cut off as he entered the portal. Powerboy frowned and flew into the portal trying to save his father.

"Dad!" Powerboy shouted as he saw his father and reached his hand out to him.

"Josiah, no-" Powerman said as he turned to look back at his son. The portal closed with the two inside of it and as Powerboy stared at his father, there was a brief surge of energy that seemed to blind Josiah making him briefly attempt to shield his eyes from the energy. Soon there was an explosion that sent both men back.

Powerboy stared in horror as his father screamed in agony as he vaporized to dust. But before he could say anything he felt as he was being pulled by something, falling through another portal once more before being sent down crashing into a large body of water. As he sunk down in the water, he felt pain. The pain that he felt wasn't from the impact. But from the fact that he just lost the one man he knew loved him. The one man he knew would protect him. He just lost the most important person in his life. He just lost his father. And the world just lost their hero.

His eyes slowly closed as he continued to sink down in the water falling out of consciousness. Fortunately for him just a few seconds after he lost consciousness, he was grabbed by something or someone to be more exact.

A/N: Alright, so this is the idea. Josiah Queen, born from Earth-55 to Powerman and Lady Amazon, so that Earth's version of Superman and Wonder Woman, meaning he's a pretty powerful kid but he does have limits because I feel that's one thing that separates him from Superman. But anyway, he tries to save his dad which causes him to be transported to another world but before that watching his dad die. It's brutal that's how most hero backstories work. So anyway, he's going to be on Earth Prime and he's gonna be a hero and try honoring his dad's legacy in his own way.

This is the ZackAttack signing out!

Peace!
