Hikaru asked Umi, "What're you reading?"

"One Piece, it's really good so far. Sometimes I wish I could help Luffy." Umi said.

Hikaru said, "I'll leave you to it." and left.

Umi, not paying attention, became engrossed in the book once more.

She thought to herself, I wish I was in the story, too.

It seemed her desire was granted as the book drew her into that world, making her surprised.

"I'm falling into water, please help!" She screamed.

Luffy heard a scream and stretched his arm to grab her.

Umi saw the stretched appendage and thought, Is this real? Am I really in One Piece?

After Umi was on his ship, Luffy giggled and said, "That's a relief! Anyways, I'm Luffy!"

"I'm Umi, nice to meet you. Thank you for saving me." She bowed politely.

"No need for formalities, it's only natural to help someone in need." He shrugged, picking his nose.

She recoiled in disgust away from him.

Nami bopped Luffy on the head for being disgusting toward their guest.

"Ow, Nami! Watch it!" Luffy rubbed his sore head.

"At least say you're sorry for being so rude!" Nami yelled.

Luffy's face became serious for a moment and he apologized for his behavior, bowing deeply.

"It's no trouble, Luffy. If there's anything I can do to help, please let me!"

Nami asked, "Could you please help me with training?"

Umi blinked. Training for what, exactly? She thought.

Nami formed her Clima Tact and said, "Get ready!"

Umi smiled weakly. She really means business! I need to have my battle gear, but where is it? Her hands fumbled but as soon as she thought of her attire, it appeared and she had her powers as well.

"Water Dragon!" Umi yelled.

The object of which she spoke appeared before Nami, which shocked her before it swallowed her whole.

Luffy, impressed at Umi's magic, asked her to join his crew. She declined even though she wanted her friends to meet Luffy as well.

Meanwhile, Nami broke free after a few minutes and gasped for air. She grabbed Umi's shirt.

"You jerk, I could've died!"

Umi said, "I'm so sorry, but you were going to attack, so I defended myself with all I could!"

"Even so, you're pretty strong. Thanks for helping me!"

"No problem." Umi beamed.

Luffy got caught in a tsunami but Umi with her quick wit, used her water ability to bring Luffy to safety.

He thanked her and she replied with, "It's no trouble."

"Please, please join my crew!" Luffy begged while genuflecting.

"Luffy, she already said no." Nami informed with arms akimbo.

His lips pursed and he said in an aside to Nami, "But I want her on my crew; she's really useful with her water magic!"

"As I said, she already said no, so why don't you drop it already?" Nami said, sighing.

"You see what I have to put up with?" She asked Umi, who nervously laughed.

"Umi, check this out!" Luffy said.

"Huh?" She looked to see where Luffy was above her. His head coiled around her, making her freak out.

Nami pinched the bridge of her nose in annoyance. "Would you please stop, Luffy? You're giving me a headache."

Luffy understood and stretched back to normal. Umi breathed a sigh of relief.

Day turned to night as the sun set in the distance. They partied until it was time for Umi to go home.

"See you soon!" Luffy said as he waved goodbye.

"I'll miss you guys!" Umi waved back.

Soon, she was back in her room, reading the comic and laughing as she thought of the adventure to tell her friends.

The End
