Summary:

For all intents and purposes, it looked like Beck was pinning Jade to the wall and smacking her around. And now, everyone had seen it. This wasn't bruises on her wrists that she could hide with bracelets, or a bite mark deep on his shoulder which meant he couldn't wear his usual 'vest and open shirt' combo for a week. This was a look into the deepest, most private part of their relationship; and it was broadcast for everyone to see and judge. And judge incorrectly.

When a video clip of Jade and Beck gets released on 's gossip page, it causes the entire school to judge Beck and Jade's relationship. With Beck now looking like public enemy number one and Jade being treated like glass by the student population, they have to figure out a way to get out of the mess with their reputations still intact.

A (hopefully) realistic view of teenagers in an unconventional sexual relationship.

Authors Note:

So! This is...pretty much vastly different from my previous multi-chaptered stories. It's not based on an episode (although mildly inspired by Robarazzi, admittedly). It takes place in their senior year, a month or so after the actual show ended.

This isn't a Dom/Sub smut story, so if that's what you're looking for, I apologise. It's probably going to have very little actual graphic sex in it, mostly just illusions to it and mentions of it. It's more about what people often assume when they see or hear about unconventional powerplay relationships. The power dynamics in the relationship are pretty equal too; Beck may be the dominant one, but Jade has just as much say in what happens as he does, if not moreso.

There will be NO sexual abuse in this story. Everything that's mentioned or shown is 100% safe and consensual, and done between two people who've been in a long term relationship and trust each other implicitly.

Story title and chapter titles are from Machine Gun Kelly & Camila Cabello's song 'Bad Things'

Chapter One: Nothings That Bad If It Feels Good

To say that Beck and Jade were used to stares when they entered the main hallway of Hollywood Arts would be an understatement. Ever since they first hooked up and became the 'It' couple of the school, people liked to watch them as if they were a reality tv show or something. However today...seemed a little different, almost instantly.

Normally, students looked at Beck with awe (and lust, a lot of the time) and adoration, and looked at Jade with awe and fear (and, disgustingly, lust but mostly from Sinjin or pervs). Today though, the looks had changed. A lot. Jade was getting wide eyed looks of...pity? Regret? Guilt? All of the above? Either way she decidedly did NOT like that.

The real kicker though, was how people were looking at Beck. With...anger, disgust and a hint of fear. Even his giggling fangirls were looking at him as if he was Robbie. Or Sinjin.

"What the fuck is going on?" Jade muttered to Beck as they stopped at her locker, him leaning against the one next to hers as she rummaged around for something. "Why are people looking at us so...weird?"

"I don't know...you didn't do anything weird right? No Slap videos or comments?" He raised an eyebrow at the dry look she sent him.

"I've literally been with you since the moment we left school yesterday. When would I have time to post anything that could get this kind of reaction?" She asked with a roll of her eyes.

"Um..J-Jade?"

"What?" She snapped, whipping around to see Sally Lawson - blonde haired, blue eyed, stacked and rich; one of the many girls who panted over Beck on a regular basis. What was weird was that the only look she shot Beck was one of disappointment and disgust. What the fuck was happening today?

"I know we've never gotten along but...if you ever need to talk about anything, and I mean anything, I hope you know you can talk to me." She reached out and grabbed the dark haired girls shoulders, squeezing them tightly and causing Jade to violently shrug them off and take a step back, into Beck. "Everyone's on your side Jade, you don't need to be scared." With one last angry glance at Beck, she reluctantly backed away, worry in her eyes as she did so.

"Well, that was fucking weird." Jade stated bluntly, looking up at Beck who returned her shocked and curious look.

"What is going on today?" He asked, shaking his head as she slammed her locker closed and leant into him as he threw an arm casually around her shoulder, her own hands going up to play with his fingers as they strolled towards the first class of the day - Sikowitz. "I need to go take a waz-"

"Gross, thanks for that." She interrupted with a wrinkled nose.

"So I'll see you in class. Save me a seat?" He removed his arm from her shoulders but kept a hold of her hand.

"Duh. Who else am I gonna sit next too?" She asked with another eye roll, leaning forward to give him a soft kiss. "Don't be too long. Or else I may end up stabbing Vega with a pair of scissors."

"No stabbing!" He warned as he turned towards the boys room.

"No promises!" She called back with a grin, before heading off towards Sikowiz's class. And when she entered, it was just as weird. Because even her not-friends were staring at her with that same look of guilt and pity.

"OK, WHAT?" She shouted as she tossed her bag down next to a chair and sat in it with her brows furrowed, staring at Tori, Andre, Cat and Robbie.

"Are...are you...OK?" Tori asked tentatively, biting her lip. "Look Jade, I'm really sorry if I've ever treated you badly...but if you need to talk I'm here."

"What. Is. Wrong. With. Everyone?!" She grit out, rolling her eyes. "You're the second person who's said if I need to talk, they're here for me. And why are you all looking at me like that?!"

"JADEY! I had no idea what you were going through! I'm the worst best friend ever!" Cat yelled, practically throwing herself at the taller girl, wrapping around her like the worlds clingiest koala or something.

"NO!" She shrieked, struggling to stand up to dislodge the tiny redhead.

"Oh God I'm sorry Jadey! Are you hurt or something? Did I make it worse!" Cat whimpered, jumping off in, weirdly, worry and not the usual fear.

"Can someone just tell me what the fuck is going on?! Andre?" She looked at the one who she could tolerate the most (OK, so she could tolerate Cat most somehow, but not when she was acting wonky as well). Andre was actively avoiding looking at her, which caused a raised eyebrow.

"Uh...have you been on The Slap today?"

"No. Beck's alarm didn't go off so we woke up late and had to rush-" She cut herself off as Cat, Robbie and Tori looked aghast. "OK...what?!"

"You...stayed with him last night? Why would you do that?!" Robbie exclaimed.

"Yes. Like I do most nights." She gritted out. She really didn't want to go into the why: her home life was none of their business.

"But-" Whatever Robbie was about to say was interrupted by Beck bursting into the room, his flannel shirt ripped at the neck, hair a mess and blood on his lip.

Jade jumped to her feet, rushing over to him. "Babe! What happened?!"

"I was just jumped by two guys in the bathroom!" He exclaimed, dazed as though in shock but still angry. "They were shouting stuff about how I thought I was tough and needed to try picking on someone my own size or something."

"Well maybe you should!" Rex exclaimed, causing Robbie to slam his hand over the puppets mouth.

"What are you talking about?!" Both Jade and Beck asked at the same time, as she examined his bloody lip.

"Uh...I need to speak with you guys. Now. In private." Andre jumped to his feet and grabbed one of their biceps in each hand and proceeded to drag them both out past the late-appearing Sikowitz.

"Andre what the hell are you doing!" Jade protested, trying to pull her arm out of the musicians grasp but failing - she supposed having strong fingers was a must for someone who played so many different instruments. As she saw they were heading to the janitor's closet, she rolled her eyes, leaning against the wall once they'd been shoved in and the door was closed behind them.

"Listen Andre, I'm flattered and I'm sure Jade is too, but I just don't feel comfortable doing this with you." Beck stated dryly, crossed his arms over his chest, leaning back next to Jade, who let out a sharp laugh at his words.

"What do you...WHAT! No!" Andre shook his head with a grossed out look on his face.

"If you want, I can leave you two alone...so long as you promise to record it for me." Jade added with her signature smirk, causing Andre to look more grossed out and Beck to shove her lightly rolling his eyes.

"Shut up and just...look at this." He pulled out his PearPhone and pulled up a page on The Slap, handing it over to Jade, who rolled her eyes and held it up so both her and Beck could read it. "It's that gossip blog that took over after Robbie stopped doing his Robarazzi stuff. The gossip and stuff from Hollywood Arts."

"Yeah, me and Jade are frequent topics of speculation." Beck shrugged, clicking on the newest uploaded post. "'Bade: A Relationship of Fear'?" He looked down towards his girlfriend who rolled her eyes. "Huh. Looks like they decided on Bade over Jeck." He commented on the portmanteau. There had been debate on the blog the last week weeks about which 'Couple Name' was best.

"Is this them claiming I'm threatening Beck to date me again? Because I am fed up with-"

"Uh no. Quite the opposite. Just read it."

Jade shrugged and scrolled down past the title card (which had a picture of them walking in from the car park, his arm slung around her shoulders and her looking off to the side). When she saw the actual article, her eyes widened. "What."

That's right Hollywood Arts students! We had this topic up a short while ago but now have some astounding and, quite frankly, unbelievable footage and evidence that not only is this a relationship built on fear and abuse...but the innocent party here is actually the hard-as-nails Jade West!

Many people have often wondered about the relationship between the two; they seem so different. But no one ever really asked why Jade always wears such dark and thick eye makeup, or why she seems to obey Beck more than any of her teachers, fellow students and, rumours have it, parents. But now, thanks to one of our wonderful reporters, we may have the answers. We warn you, that the following content may be disturbing.

EMBEDDED VIDEO...LOADING

As you can see in the video clip above, Beck held Jade against the wall of the dance hall corridor by her THROAT, with one hand, her wrists above her head in his other, whispering menacingly into her ear. The brave and valiant Jade tries to struggle against him, speaking in rushed but hushed tones we can't pick up, but it seems her pleas land on deaf ears as he slaps her across the face!

How long has this been going on?! Why does she put up with it? How can the sweet, charming actor be such a cruel beast when in private?

We'll keep you updated as the story progresses!

This one may not be updated quite as quickly as my other multi-chaptered stories, but I'll try my best! It's not finished yet, and I kind of have no idea where it's going quite yet, although I have an end goal in mind.
