Hi, just tryin out a plot. This is the story of a Muse and Mundane. This is completely my creation though I got inspiration from City of Ghosts by Victoria Schwab. K lets go! Enjoy!

Hey, I am Mila and this is my story. It starts with my life being normal. Well, not completely normal but at least it was magic free. Yes I said magic but we will get to that in time. For now, this part of my story I wasn't in but it's a start.

Theo POV

Next case here I come. I floated through the air. I did flips of joy. Usually I wasn't this happy. In fact, I mostly don't bother with emotions. I passed through clouds. The city of Angel Blight. The city was called this because we work for the angels and the Blight flower grew there. This so called paradise was where I was heading. Or more specifically Nightclaw tower. Funny that a city called Angel Blight had a building called Nightclaw Tower.

I soared through the entrance. I pulled my sleeve up and it showed my materialising mark. If I outline it I become human. It's hard to explain. Think about it this way, in myths muses are like ghosts. In real life if we draw the outline we become real. Every muse's mark is different. The symbol shows the virtue that the muse is showing at that moment. For example, mine was joy right now. It had 4 points which were loops. It was an knot that had no ends which was coincidental since my joy had ended. Harold.

He was a horrible muse. I had heard that he transferred many times to different mundanes. Basically, he didn't do his job. He must be at this meeting because he requested another transfer. I walked past ignoring any comments. Harold had a group of friends which followed him around Angel Blight. They were like servants. At his every need. His beck and call.

The Nightclaw doors were massive and golden. They shimmered in the sunlight. I would say the towers was so tall it reached the clouds, but we were on the clouds. Yes, the floor was the clouds. You'd think they would be light soft and fluffy but they were like wooden floors, hard solid and white. Also you'd expect to get sunburnt but there was like an invisible bubble around Angel Blight. The tower was dark blue with golden swirls travelling up the walls. When you entered, the walls changed to bright white. If it wasn't for the desk at the end of the hall or the magnificent chandelier, I would feel like I had entered nothing. I continued to the desk.

"Hey Rori," I said. She looked up. Her bright green eyes lit up. A grin passed over her face, showing her pointed teeth. I always wondered if she ever cut her tongue on them.

"Hi Theo," she replied. "New case?"

"Yep."

"What happened to the last one?" Her purple wings fluttered with curiosity. You see, Angel Blight was bigger than the average city. It was more like another world. It was huge. If you think about it, we are above every inch of land. From Russia to Hawaii. This means there are many countries/cities/towns/villages in which different creatures live in. Rori (Aurora) came from the Fae city. That's why she looks so... unusual to mundanes.

"She pursued her destiny and my boss is giving her to a mubie." Mubies are what we call muse newbies.

"I wish I was able to see the mundane world." I smiled. Rori had always had the dream of the world that lived below her. "But I'm stuck at this desk all day every day." She sighed.

"One day," I said.

"One day." She repeated. "Meeting room 745 on floor 567."

"Thanks." I set off for the elevator.

The elevator was golden like the entrance doors. The button panels were on every wall. This elevator went up to 700 but the number of floors is unknown. I pressed 567 and braced myself. The elevator shot into action. It was so fast that you barely noticed you were moving. Within a few seconds, it ringed and the doors slid open.

They revealed a corridor going left, right and forward. Each hallway had a sign saying what rooms it goes up to. To the right was rooms 630-650. To the left was rooms 651-700. Forward was rooms 701-750. I was going forward. I sauntered down the corridor. 710,720,730,740... 745. I heard the familiar voices of my colleagues. Every year we would have an annual meeting.

Today was that day. I opened the ajar door all the way. I was well respected in the magical universe since I got a round of applause when I entered the room. I took a seat and sent nods at people I knew. Noah sat down next to me.

Noah and I had gone through the academy together. We knew each other better than anyone else. He was basically my brother. "As you can see everyone heard that you set that woman's life on track after the mubie destroyed it." He said down my ear.

"News travels fast huh?"

"Yep, I feel bad for whoever gets Harold's leftovers." Speak of the devil.

I know this is very confusing but I hope u liked it. I enjoyed writing it. Do u like my world?
