Rubbing his forehead Christian let out a long sigh as he closed his eyes ever so briefly before reopening them once more. The never-ending screaming of the waste of space human in front of him, who was tied to a chair, currently making the hair on his skin stand on end as well as giving him a throbbing headache. "How long is this going to take?" He whispered to Jason Taylor or Taylor as Christian called him, his work partner. They had been in the freezing warehouse long enough in his opinion.
"For as long as it does. They said boss would show today. We need to keep our cool." Taylor responded, not taking his eyes off the screaming idiot in front of them. He had zoned out of the constant screaming.
Christian scoffed to himself. "You're seriously taking the word of tweedle dumb and tweedle dee?" He grumbled with a roll of his eyes before sighing again. "We've been here for nearly 3 hours and all we've had is this dumb prick screaming as if he's in labour. My brain is about to explode from his constant screaming."
"Good things come to those who wait."
"Quoting your mother isn't going to improve the situation." Christian grumbled with a huff. "Or my mood."
Taylor smirked as he glanced to Christian. "Mrs. Taylor would smack you over the head for that comment."
"I'd like to see her try. Isn't your mother like four foot?"
"She'd defiantly hit you for that comment." He chuckled shaking his head.
"Please, just let me go!" The man blubbered looking to Taylor and Christian. "I didn't do anything! They're lying! I'm a good man!"
"Boss says differently." Christian commented. "Now shut the fuck up. You're giving me a headache."
"But…"
"I said shut the fuck up!" Christian snapped before he glared at tweedle dee and tweedle dumb as they snickered either side of the sniveling idiot. "You pair can zip it as well. Where the hell is the boss? We've been here for three hours already."
"And?" Tweedle dee answered back. "Boss will be here when they get here." He simply told him. "We don't rush the boss."
Christian rolled his eyes. He was starting to get frustrated. For over five months they have been working for their boss. A boss that they have never even met. They had to work their asses off before they got that privilege. The suspense had been driving him crazy. He finally could have a face. And hopefully a name. As he heard tweedle dumb's phone go off, he looked to him and watched as he looked to his phone before nodding to tweedle dee. "Boss is here." Christian commented to Taylor.
"How can you tell?" Taylor asked with a slight frown as he looked to Christian.
"Because those two fuckwits look…nervous which means they're scared." He whispered to him.
Taylor looked over to the two before he then looked to the door as it opened as two men stepped inside. They were both at least six foot five and built like wrestlers.
"This him?" The bigger one asked nodding to the guy in the chair who was still sniffling.
"Yes sir. Top dealer in Bellevue. Responsible for thirteen overdoses in teenagers aged fourteen to nineteen in the last two months." Tweedle dee explained. "We also believe he knows the fucker's identity but is keeping tight lipped for now."
Christian watched the interaction. He guessed that the bigger one was the boss. He showed authority and tweedle dee called him sir. He watched as the guy came closer and looked down to the guy snivelling.
"Please…I didn't do anything. Please just let me go! You must have me confused with somebody else!"
Punching the guy hard across the face, he looked down to him. "Shut your mouth. The boss will deal with you."
Christian looked to Taylor. So, he wasn't the boss.
"Associates?" The other guy then asked tweedle dumb.
"Dealt with."
"Very good. Boss will be pleased." He then looked over to the door as he heard the sound of shoes behind him. "Boss…I thought we agreed I would come and get you when I had confirmation. You shouldn't be walking alone. Especially around this part of town."
"I got bored."
Christian looked to the boss. A woman. A hot woman. A fucking hot, tiny woman who was dressed in a black tight fitted dress with a black jacket on but not done up and heels that made her legs look like they went on forever and an ass to die for. He glanced at Taylor who seemed to be equally as shocked at their boss's identity. Considering their bosses brutal reputation…a woman was the last person they were expecting.
"Who are they?" She asked gesturing to Christian and Taylor.
"Chris and Jay." Tweedle dee told her. "Latest recruits. Five months on the job. Chris is a bit mouthy and a grumpy fuck most of the time but they have both proven to be good assets and Jay's scary as fuck and huge so people piss their pants in front of him."
The boss gave a nod. "Pleasure lads. You can call me Anastasia." She simply told them before smirking. "Or boss like they do." Chuckling she then looked to the guy tied to the chair and sighed. "Oh Brad. What have you got yourself into?" She mused as she headed over to him.
"How do you know my name?" He asked looking to her, the fear etched in his eyes.
"Oh, I know everything about you Brad." She mused as she circled him. "And you know what I want."
"I don't know his name." He whispered with the shake of his head. "I don't know what they told you but they are lying! I don't know anything!"
"Oh Brad, please don't lie to me." Standing into front of him she then bent down so she was eye level with him. "I don't like being lied to. And it is in your best interest if you don't lie to me." She ran her fingers up his leg before moving her hand to his hand that was tied to the arm of the chair. Holding onto his finger she then snapped it back, ignoring the screaming pain that suddenly filled the room. "All I need is one little name." She mused down to him.
"Please." He begged looking to her.
"Just one name Brad."
"But what will you do if I give you his name?" He asked snivelling up at her.
Anastasia laughed as she looked to him. "Kill him of course." She shook her head. "Why would you ask such a silly question?" She sighed. "Look Brad. That piece of shit took something very precious from me. Something I can't get back. So…unless you want a very slow and painful death…I suggest you start singing like a canary because my patience only lasts for a short amount of time before I go completely psychotic." She smiled sickly sweet at him.
"Derek Hunt." Brad quickly responded. "But please don't kill me." He pleaded looking to her. "I'll do anything but please don't kill me."
"Oh Brad." Anastasia smiled to him. "You're now a liability. You think I can let you live and rat me out to the cops or let Derek Hunt know that I am coming for him?" She chuckled and stood up straight and looked to him. "You think I'm a bad person?" She smirked and gave a little shrug. "Oh sweetheart. You poison and kill innocent teenagers all for cash…I rid your kind for the greater good." She held her hand out. "Luke. If you would please."
Christian watched as the bigger of the two moved closer to Anastasia and put a gun into her hand. He looked to Taylor briefly before turning his attention to the scene in front of him.
"I'll keep my promise to you Brad. I'll make it quick."
"NO! PLEASE NO! I BEG YOU! DON'T DO THIS!" He screamed. "I'LL DO ANYTHING! PLEASE! DON'T!"
Anastasia looked him right in the eye as she held the gun up before pulling the trigger, shooting him right in the head, the silencing a welcoming sound to the whole room. "Thank god he shut up. He was starting to give me a headache." She mused with a shake of her head. Putting the gun in Luke's hand as he held it out to her she then brushed her dress down before pouting. "Oh, damn it. A blood spot got on me. Now I'm going to have this handwashed." She huffed before she then looked to tweedle dumb and tweedle dee. "Adam. Daniel. You know what to do now. And remember. No traces. No evidence." She told them firmly before looking to Chris and Jay. "Jay why don't you join them. See how this side of things of done around here. Chris. Come with Luke, Jack and I. Let's have a little chat." She instructed as she made her way out of the warehouse and to her car.
Christian looked to Jason who gave a little nod. Following the three out to the car he watched as Jack and Luke got in the front of the car before he sighed to himself and climbed in the back with Anastasia. She was hot. Beautiful. But she was also dangerous as fuck, he knew that. The boss had a reputation and it was fucking scary, even he had to admit it. He had to tread carefully.
"So, Chris." Anastasia began as she turned in her seat to look at him clearly. "How are you finding working for me?" She asked.
"Fine." He simply replied. "I'm just here to do a job."
Anastasia raised an eyebrow as she looked to him. "Just here to do a job. Oh Chris. You're not here to do just a job. You're going to help me change the world." She mused.
Chris looked to her. "Change the world? Killing lowlife scum is changing the world?"
"Do you know anything about me?" She asked curiously to him.
"No." He answered honestly. "To be honest when you walked in and were revealed as the boss, I was a little shocked. I thought big man up front driving was the boss, not you. I've never even heard of you."
"Looks can be deceiving." She smirked to him. "Good things come to those who wait Chris."
Chris scoffed. "I've heard that saying before. I don't really believe in it. Good things happen when people put in the effort to make them happen."
Ana smiled. "Things can change." She shrugged before glancing out of the window before looking back to him. "Tell me about you. I want to know about Chris."
"Not much to say." He shrugged. "Rough upbringing. Rough life. Here I am." He simply told her. He was never one to divulge in his life to anyone. Jason knew the bare minimum and that's because he went digging when he shouldn't have. "I don't talk about myself and I prefer to keep it that way."
Anastasia smirked. "Someone's a closed book."
Christian shrugged. "Just the way I am, sorry."
Anastasia looked to him. "Oh, don't be sorry. I like you. You're not afraid to say it how it is and I respect that." She mused to him, crossing her one leg over the other.
"Like I said. Just the way I am."
"Well. The way you are has just gotten you a promotion. From now on you'll be working with Luke. He's head of my personal security."
Luke scoffed from up front.
Anastasia rolled her eyes. "Sorry. He's head of my personal security and my pain in the ass brother. Jack there is our cousin, he spends half the time working with Luke and the other half working with my father."
"And the other two? From the warehouse?"
"Adam and Daniel?" She asked to which he nodded. "They're…"
"Fucking idiots." Luke grumbled which caused a chuckle from Jack. He wasn't wrong!
"Luke." Ana warned before she then looked to Chris once more. "They're followers. Sheep." She shrugged. "They do our dirty work."
"From what I saw you do your own dirty work."
"I do the fun part." She smiled. "They just clean up the mess and make sure there is no evidence left what so ever. Failure to do that…well it'll cost them. And they know that." She chimed. "Your friend Jay will learn how to do the clean up tonight. He seems reliable. Very reliable."
"Yeah he can take over when one of the fuckwits cock up." Jack commented with a shake of his head.
"Enough." Anastasia snapped at them.
"You're kinda psycho, aren't you?" Chris asked with a smirk.
"For good reason." She told him with a wicked smile. "Maybe in time you'll learn why I am the way I am but I wouldn't hold your breath." She shrugged. "ETA Luke?" She then asked looking to her brother, dismissing the conversation.
"Ten minutes." Luke replied.
"Where are we going?" Chris asked looking to her.
"Well I'm going home. Then you'll be starting your training tonight with Luke and Jack."
"Training?" Chris asked raising an eyebrow.
"Yes." Anastasia laughed. "You might have been promoted Chris but with that promotion comes a lot of hard work and a lot of training." She told him. "Luke and Jack will start your training tonight. In the coming days we will see how valuable you truly are. Impressing me gets you rewards."
"And if I don't?" He asked.
"Well let's not think negatively." She mused looking to him. "It's not bare thinking about. The consequences wouldn't be worth it." She looked him straight in the eye. "So, make sure you impress me." She told him. As they pulled up to their destination she then looked to Chris as Jack got out of the car and came around to open the door for her. "It was a pleasure to meet you. And I must say. I have a good feeling about you. Don't disappoint me, Chris." She smirked. "I'll see you soon." She told him before she glanced at brother. "Don't be too late." She told him before she slid out of the car and gave a nod to Jack before heading up to the house in front of her.
"Big house." Chris commented as he looked to the house briefly before watching Anastasia head inside.
"Keep your eyes on the house and not on my sister's ass then." Luke commented as he turned to face Chris. "Rule number one. Sister is fucking off limits. Full stop. I'll break you in half if you mess with her." He simply told him before he turned around and waited for Jack to get back into the car before driving off.
"Where are we going?" Chris asked looking to them.
Jack turned to look at him. "Well. First night of your training. We are going to need lots of coffee. And you are going to need lots of water." He chuckled and smirked to him. "You're in for a long night my friend. But trust us. It'll be worth in the long run. Think of this as a probation period. As soon as boss is happy. You can opt in for a pension and the benefits will be more than satisfactory." He smirked to him before turning back around. "Welcome to the club dude. You are in for one hell of a ride."
Christian looked to the two men. Welcome to the club? He'd been waiting for this moment for a long time. At last their hard work was finally going to start to pay off.
