Konan was quite befuddled when Pain left his room, dressed in some strange colorful clothes, wearing a flower crown, and smiling cheerfully at her.

She was even more befuddled when he extended his index and middle fingers at her, making some kind of V-sign that looked like a terribly botched-up handsign. "Peace."

Konan blinked, slightly worried about his mental stability. "Are you…alright?"

Pain smiled even brighter and threw his arm around her. "I am feeling wonderful, my friend. Let us greet this wonderful morning with a song! How about Blowing in the Wind? Yes, that would be nice on such a wonderful day."

He started to sing, and Konan threw a skeptical look out of the window.

It was raining.

As always.

What a wonderful day, indeed.

Sasori frowned in annoyance as he brushed yet another blossom from his puppets. Where in Kami's name did all this flowers turn up from?

Just this morning he had seen Deidara blowing a daffodil from his cereals.

Literally.

His partner was still busy cleaning the kitchen because the explosion had shattered the flowerpots that had mysteriously turned up everywhere.

Was this another trick from Tobi? The man-child did seem rather happy skipping through the daisies that had replaced the living room floor.

Sasori just wondered what their leader was doing.

There was no way he would stand for this, whatever it was.

"Ah, Itachi!"

"Yes, Leader-sama?" The Uchiha turned towards his leader.

Pain was holding a Piña Colada with an umbrella on top and wore a flower crown woven out of Dandelions. Itachi thought it accentuated his purple eyes quite nicely.

"I just wanted to say that I like your eyes. The kaleidoscopic pattern in your eyes is an excellent symbol for the broken reality we are living in. Please do not change and let us bring peace to this war-stricken world together."

He patted Itachi's shoulder and walked off singing 'Another Brick in the Wall.'

Itachi had to admit he had a rather nice voice.

His leader would make an excellent singer, should taking over the world should not work out.

It was always good to have contingency plans.

Itachi had several of his own, too.

Kakuzu looked from the paper in his hand to his colorful leader and back again. "You want me to buy a weed plantation?"

Pain nodded seriously and sipped on his freshly made orange juice. "It has occurred to me that people are less busy with waging war when they are occupied with nicer things. Why fight if you can experience heaven instead? So, let us grow a piece of happiness and gift it to the world. They will be too busy to fight if they are happy."

Kakuzu paused, mentally calculating the expenses of their newest venture. "Very well," he answered finally, "And what should we do about the bijuu?"

Pain sauntered out the door, casually waving his hand. "They will receive our gift, too, of course. We don't discriminate against minorities."

Again: Don't ask me what I was thinking while I wrote this. Because...I don't know.
