I am very interested in different mythologies and especially the Greek pantheon in general and I want to explore this fanfic and expand upon the godhood aspect of the PJO universe. I hope that you will enjoy it and to all who don't like a Godlike! Percy then don't read if you don't have anything nice or any constructive critique of the story.

Prologue
Ca 1500BCE
Mount Othrys is the home of the Titans the current rulers of the Greek world. Inside one of the palaces, a titan was screaming her lungs out while giving birth to two very important beings. Nymphs were rushing around the woman with amphorae of water that they dipped cloths onto and cooled down the Titan's forehead. The woman was stunning by mortal standards even while giving birth to her 6th and 7th children. She remembered what had happened with her other offspring and this time she promised herself that she would change at least their future and maybe, eventually manage to reunite her family finally.
She felt a real strong push coming from her body before a baby's screams join his mother's. He (because she knew it was a he) was like all her other children beautiful in her eyes and she looked smitten with him before she began to cramp again and a trusted nymph named Adrasteia swooped in and wrapped the baby boy into a bundle of cloth. The baby was lying sleepily in its little 'fort' of comfort before nearly jumped up and began to bawl after the birth of his younger twin.
Rhea as the Queen of Titans was named pushed out her last child of the day with a tired scream before she was cleaned up and was sat up against the headboard with a child in each arm. She first looked to her son on the right. Zeus was his name and unlike his other siblings, he and his twin would hopefully be saved from the cruel fate that their father had planned for them. She turned her head towards his brother. Perseus meaning 'the destroyer'. While her other son Zeus had electric blue eyes, his brother had shining golden eyes with green specks littered around looking like an archipelago in a sea of golden amber.
She looked towards Adrasteia and nodded to her, Adrasteia picked up the two bundles and laid them down in a cradle before pleading with her mistress to get some sleep before she was to present the new children to their father.

A couple of hours later the feast was underway and the 'ceremony' for Kronos the Titan-King to 'meet' his new children was happening soon. Cronos had of course seen his new children already so it wouldn't be anything suspicious about them, but now finally was the time. Rhea while sitting next to her husband/brother got eye contact with one of her loyal servants, 'now' she thought into her mind and her trusted servant nodded ever so slightly her head before beginning the rescue plan.
The babies were exchanged with rocks wrapped up in bundles looking vaguely like two healthy babies, and the real children were smuggled out of the hall and went to a healthy park on the mountain where they were grabbed by a pair of earthen hands that transported them to the cave called Psychro Cave on the eastern part of the island Crete. There they were put into a cradle yet again oblivious towards the events happening at their birthplace.

Rhea was sweating while trying to play it off as the heat. Her husband had risen from beside her and banged the handle of his scythe on the table in front of him.
"Thank you, thank you all for coming to this feast in honor of my beautiful wife and these last children that she has given me" he pauses while looking meaningfully towards his wife with a fake smile. 'He always was very charismatic when he wanted to' Rhea thought as she waved for the servants that were carrying her 'children and put them in each arm.
Her husband looked hungrily towards the bundles before turning back to the crowd once again "But, as you know I have gotten a prophecy stating that one of my children will betray me and overthrow our rule. And as your beloved king" He sighed while still having the little glint of madness in his eyes "I will always put the kingdom before myself and I have decided that the best course of action is to eliminate the threat before it can cause any damage" Now he even had a little malicious grin on his face before taking one of the bundles.
He frowned when he looked down on the small bundle with only a black tuft of hair sticking out and turned to whisper to his wife. "Are they always so silent?" He looked inquisitively at the two bundles and shrugged. "It will not matter anyway".
When Cronos had leaned in towards Rhea she thought definitely that they had been found out and her breath hitched before sighing relieved after he ignored it. The stones inside the bundles were enchanted by the mist of Hecate so Cronos wanted to think they were babies so he saw babies but it was very hard without giving life to the stones to get them more lifelike so they went with illusions instead and now we hoped for the best...
He turned towards the crowd again and made a big show of showing the bundle before swallowing it whole with no regret. Before he turned towards the other bundle and again was showing it around before swallowing it down too with no thought. Rhea watched gleefully at the switch going right before suddenly Cronos smile faded and he began to frown and glared suspiciously down at his stomach...

Perseus looked around the cave and surrounding areas, he thought he heard some shuffling behind him and thought 'gotcha'. But, instead of foolishly spinning around he continued like nothing had happened before the advanced hearing of the little godling picked up a sharp intake of breath. He spun around in the last second and swung his brother past him and into the ground below him before jumping on top of him. "Stop it Perseus, it's no fun when you always win" The other godling whined. "Ohh, stop it brother its not my fault that you're tragic at hiding and sneaking around you have always had a flair for dramatics Zeus, and anyways I am your older brother meaning that I will always have to be better than you," Perseus said playfully mocking his twin-brother.
Zeus growled at his brother before stating "You're not the elder, Adrasteia says that we came out of mother's womb at the same time" both godlings got up to their feet and Perseus looked around the rocky body of his grandmother. The cave he and his brother lived in was situated on the side of Mount Ida located in the middle of the eastern part of Crete. The weather was sweltering hot and was nearly unbearable even for godlings. He could almost see what would be called the Aegean Sea to the North from the mouth of the cave. The only sign of civilization in eye range was a small village at the foot of the mountain.
Suddenly a woman's voice filtered down the mountain to the two sons of Kronos. "Perseus, Zeus come back to the cave it's time for lunch" Adrasteia shouted down to the boys. The two boys looked at each other before racing up the mountain towards the cave mouth of their home.
Adrasteia was one of the nymphs of the mountain Ida and while she had been already in the service of Rhea her sister named Ida was only convinced after Rhea had a 'strong' talking to her(read: ordered). Ida and Adrasteia were the nymphs of the mountain and they raised the two sons of Kronos with care growing to love both like sons. The two brothers had been alive for five years but were mentally and physically twelve because of their increased aging by being godlings.
Perseus had raven black hair and his body was athletic while lean body and shining gold eyes with green specks. He had high royal cheeks with a face looking like he was sculpted out of bronze-tinted marble, he had a white khiton with gold linings matching his rare eye color. The only other owner of gold eyes was his father Kronos and he wasn't sure what he thought about that.
While his brother was leaner with an agile build, Zeus had more of a brute force build with big muscles for his twelve-year-old body. Zeus had sparkling electric blue eyes nearly glowing in the dark. Other than that the two brothers looked quite alike with a handsome face of bronze-tinted skin and sculpted facial features.
They arrived into the cooled cave with Adrasteia fuzzing over a rip in Zeus's white khiton with a disappointed frown at the rip put she held her mouth and continued with the two boys down to where her sister had prepared some ambrosia and nectar for the boys while Zeus only gave a little nod to Ida, Perseus went up to her and gave her an appreciative peck on her cheek showing his appreciation.
He sat down on the table opposite his brother and their two foster mothers went their separate ways for something. While the brothers may look superficially alike they had very different personalities. Zeus was more of a showboating personality and while both were authoritative when it mattered Perseus had a more playful and laid back attitude than his brother.
After the godlings finished their meal Zeus asked his brother "So, do you want to do a training session?" Perseus didn't need to answer and they began to race towards the weapons rack holding two wooden swords...
End of Chapter
This chapter is only an introduction and I will increase the word count of each chapter. Perseus is going to be highly active during these Ancient Greek times, I want to eventually work my way to modern times and the PJO cannon, but that will be a long way away. Please make me aware if there are any misspellings or bad grammar anywhere, English is not my native language but I write this to bring my ideas to life so hopefully, it is bearable. If anyone are confused by anything like Gaia helping Zeus and Perseus escape PM me and i will try to explain my reasoning:) and if it really is a stupid plot-point then i would of change that.
Thanks for reading and sorry for the long author's note at the start and end but I just needed to say some things before this story started.
