Summary: When Harry finds a couple snakes at Number 12 Grimmauld Place, they reveal secrets about the Dark Lord. (set in summer before OoTP, after GoF)

Number 12 Grimmauld Place was unrecognizable. After years of quiet, the house was buzzing with conversations, laughter, and people. Voldemort's return had reunited the Order of the Phoenix from 13 years prior, and they used the Black family house as a safe house. Every week they had an arranged meeting and eventually, the Weasly family along with Harry and Hermione were living there, too. As the summer went on, the kids found new ways of entertaining themselves whilst the adults were meeting. Today was one of those days.

Molly and Sirius were having their usual argument over whether or not to involve Harry with their plans, Kingsley and Snape were discussing their security measures regarding the Department of Mysteries, Tonks and Charlie were playing cards, Arthur was talking to Moody about the Ministry's connection to certain Death Eaters, Lupin and Bill were talking about possible non-human alliances, and Minerva and Dumbledore were dicussing Harry's safety while he was going to be at school.

"He has every right to know! This whole organization is for his safety! He literally has a psycotic murderer out for his blood this very minute and you think he shouldn't know what we are doing to help!"

"He is still a child!"

"He has been through WAY more than ANY adult I have EVER met!"

As Molly was about to rebuttle Sirius's claim, Fred barged through the door, wearing a huge smile across his face.

All the adults' conversations stopped and they all stared at him in silence. Snape was the first to speak. "We are in a closed meeting, Mr. Weasley! What has compelled you to so rudely interrupt?"

"Well, I just thought you would all like to know that Harry found a snake!" Spoke an amused and excited Fred. Wearing a smirk on his face he left, leaving the adults to process the information.

After a moment, Sirius yelled "WHAT? IS HE OKAY? IS MY GODSON HURT?" And he fled to where the teens were, followed by a couple other shouts and the rest of the adults. When they made there way to the living room, they were shocked with what they met. All the kids were gathered around Harry in awe, and he sat on the floor wearing a smile as a snake slithered around his arm.

"Harry!" Yelled Sirius, quite shocked at how calm they all were. Harry looked up, eyebrows raised.

"Sirius!" Said Harry in response, a tone of sarcasm in his voice. Snape rolled his eyes from the doorway.

"Wh- what?" Sirius asked, confused and quite amused. The adults who had not figured out what was happening were all staring, jaws slacked. Harry saw this and held in a laugh.

He looked down at the snake and up again at the adults. "I found a snake" he said smiling, like he was a little kid.

"We- we see that" said Remus in disbeleif. The snake hissed and Harry looked down at it once more. Then, Harry shook his head and hissed something back. All the adults were appaled while the teens were unfased. Harry, seeing the look on all the adults faces, began to speak.

"His name is Po, um, he's from the forest just south of here. And no, he's not poisinous or anything, he just uses the attic as shelter"

The adults did not find this comforting. Remus spoke carefully. "Harry, you're a parslemouth?"

Harry but his lip and nodded, "Mhm".

The snake hissed again, and Harry smiled. Just then, another snake slithered into the light. Several adults had to step out of it's way and Harry gently set the first snake down onto his knee as he used his other hand to lift the second. Charlie and Tonks joined the rest of the teenagers huddled around him.

Harry hissed and gently smiled at the second snake, now resting comfortably in his hand. Remus smiled down at Harry, watching the teen with fondness. The snake hissed back, but this time Harry's face went from a smile to a confused expression.

"Harry? What did it say?" Dumbledore quired, ths adults now a little concerned.

Harry paused for a moment before looking up at the bystanders. "Her name is Ryn and she comes from Malfoy Manor" he said.

"Why is she here of all places?" Moody asked, worried that Voldemort had sent her to spy on the Order. Harry hissed the snake and the snake hissed back. He looked up to face the adults in the room.

"She says she left the Manor after an incident. She traveled for a while until she met her lover, Po," Harry jestured to the other snake on his knee and continued, "Po has been using the attic as shelter for a while now so he brought her here". The adults took a moment to process this. Snape looked more confused than the others.

"As far as I know, there hasn't been anything going on at the Manor other than weekly meetings, and nothing in particular has happened then either" he spoke.

"Harry, please ask her what she meant" McGonagall said in a gentel tone. Harry nodded and hissed at the snake. After a moment she hissed back. Harry's eyes widened and he clapped his free hand to his mouth to hold in laughter.

"Potter?" Snape asked, sounding annoyed.

After a moment, Harry set the snakes down and they slithered into the loose boards of the house, looking back to hiss at him while he nodded. After a moment, Harry looked to George and said, "I owe you 20 sickles".

George gasped and a huge smile spread across his face. "No way!" He beamed. Sirius cut in.

"What is going on here?" He asked, utterly confused, as were the rest of the people in the room.

Harry looked at them all and said, "Bellatrix is sleeping with the Dark Lord. Ryn heard them doing it before a meeting and fled". The teens burst out into laughter. Snape paled and the rest of the adults were either baffled or amused.

"And you placed bets on this?" Asked Remus, taken aback by the news.

"Yup" said Ginny, popping the 'p' as she gave a lump of knuts to Ron.

"Of course you did" sighed Remus in return.
