"huh" I deadpanned at him. Who says that?
"Sorry, I have amnesia so I can just say some weird things like that"
"oh..." amnesia huh...
"but really, you should smile more. It's better than that mean scowl you always have on"

He chuckled and just flashed me a smile...
Wow...
My heart may of just skipped a few beats.You know... maybe I will try loving again. If its to protect that smile of his. I'll do anything.

"HEY Y/N!!!"
I looked away from my training partner when I heard that familiar voice.
"Oh, hey Sabo"
I sent Hack an apologetic smile as he nodded in understanding.
I ran off into Sabo's direction as I felt a grin start growing on my face.
"GUESS WHAT, GUESS WHAT"
Sabo kept on repeating those words as he practically shook me back and forth when I arrived in front of him. For a 14 year old, he is very energetic. I sweatdropped.
"Get out with it already" I groaned, hiding a small smile.
"O-oh, yeah sorry hehe" he said nervously as he rubbed his neck in embarasment.
"well? What happened for you to get this happy?" I said in my usual teasing tone.
"RIGHT!, well you know how I told you about my crush on Koala and all..."
"oh" I said losing my smile immediately
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN 'oh'!?!?"
"Uh, sorry hehe, BUT ANYWAYS, HOW ARE YOU TWO GOING~" I immediately tried to cover up my slip up as I started to tease him about his small crush.
"well, I managed to ask her if she wanted to hang out when we go out on another mission by that really popular town and all!" He said while practically vibrating where he stood.
"Thats nice, I hope you two have a good time" I said with a genuine smile. Even if it hurts to know he likes someone else, I don't deserve to be loved by him. Its best if I make his life happier. I should just focus on getting stronger and saving the ones I love, that's why I joined the revolutionaries after all. Right?
"I can't wait to see you two finally become official~" I said while wiggling my eyebrows as to tease him more. He shoved me away in a playful manor "Oh, shut up! We're not going to become a couple anytime soon. Sheesh" I rolled my eyes at that. I looked over his blushing face as I was mesmerized by his beautiful blond hair and glimmering bright eyes.
"Anyways, thats all! You can go back to training with Hack!" before running off, he gave me a quick hug that made me tense for a bit, and said "I don't know what I would do without you... love you" and at that, I felt my cheeks redden as my heart started beating in a remarkable speed, until "bestfriend" yep... and thats what you call being friendzoned.
He ran off with a bright grin on his face as I stood there frozen.
"I'm your bestfriend... thats nice"--"Do you like Sabo?"
"what?"
She stood in front of me, eyes practically staring through my soul as she repeated her question.
"Do you like Sabo?"
Wow. I haven't talked much with Koala but I do know that she knew Sabo longer than me. We weren't on bad terms but we only ever interacted with each other when Sabo was around.
"WHAT!? As if. Who do you take me for? Plus, we both know who he really likes" I start chuckling to myself as I give her a wink "Its so obvious~ and we're besties! I don't wanna ruin that for us" I ended with a small pout.
She stood their staring at my face until she finally broke and let out a sigh of relief.
"phew"
Okay, so that was unexpected but at least she didn't figure me out.
"Thank god!! I really didn't want to be part of a love triangle at ALL"
I blinked a few times before bursting out into laughter. "you scared me for a sec" I said between my laughter "I thought you were here to warn me to not get close to your mans or something"
She gasped as she took a pose to show how offended she was. "Wow, I really thought you knew me better than that y/n"
"Okay, sorry sorry, but we don't really talk much so I just assumed" I said with a small smile.
"Well, true, but I hope we can be friends now. You see, I liked Sabo for a while now but I thought you two were together so I let it go" she chuckled nervously.
"Don't worry, we're just best friends" but you wish you were more huh
"nothing more, nothing less"
"Oh, well can you help me out then! I'm really nervous since he just asked me to hang out with him after our mission that we got paired together... I'm just not really used these kind of things... and you two hang out more with each other so I just thoight..." she stopped talking as she took on an embarassed expression.
She really is cute. No wonder he likes her.
"You really are cute you know" I said out of the blue.
"W-what!?" she said immediately turning red.
"Sorry, I just realised why Sabo is so attracted to you" I smiled at her "You know what!, I will help your beautiful self since I am such a kind person! Come on now, lets go to my room and I'll tell you all about him"
"O-okay..?"
I dragged her through the halls in the revolutionary hideout while also passing by Sabo
"Oh, hey y/n- KOALA!?"
"h-hey sabo" Koala said still dizzy from being dragged about
"No talking now. I'm preparing her for her date so YOU can get your sweaty ass to the shower" I said with a small playful glare at his direction.
"I was training!!" He fumed at me. Cute.
"W-wait, DATE" Both Sabo and Koala said in unison
"I mean, its more like us hanging out with each oth-" "Oh hush child" I shut him up before dragging Koala to my room and slamming the door before shouting "DON'T DISTURB US YOU HOOLIGANS
I could hear Dragon groan in frustration from his office.
"Anyways, so where should we begin"
So we spent the day talking about Sabo's likes and dislikes, while also just hanging out. Shes really bubbly and pretty...
No wonder he likes her. At least I know hes in good hands.
After all. I'm his bestfriend. Nothing more and nothing less.
