Ross entered the coffee house and the familiar smell of coffee hit his nostrils. At any day this would comfort him. Today wasn't just any day though. Today was the day that his wife told him she was a lesbian. It had happened so fast, so unexpectedly. One minute they were talking about their grocery list, the next she was telling him of how she met a girl from her gym and how she was sorry she was attracted to women. At first he thought she was playing a joke on him. The next thing he knew she was confessing her love for another person, a woman.

It still didn't make sense. How does one like men one day, and the next she decides she all of a sudden have a problem with their penis. Was there something wrong with him? Was there something about him that stirred something inside women? He didn't have answers. Carol certainly didn't give him any. She said that it was never him, there was nothing wrong with him. All he heard was she fell out of love with him and in love with someone else.

He went over to the counter and ordered his usual and made his way to the orange couch that he'd grown accustomed to. All his friends were still at work. He was pulled out of work early when Carol called him to state her love for another woman. Apparently she couldn't hold it in anymore.

He found himself getting angry. He was angry at Carol for breaking their marriage. He was angry at that woman whose name he couldn't care to remember that stole his wife away from him. He was angry at himself for marrying a lesbian. He was angry at whoever was preparing his coffee because they taking so damn long.

"Where's my coffee!" He didn't realize he said it out loud until the surrounding customers cast him irritated glances. His face burned a shade of red and he went to Gunther.

"Gunther, where's my coffee?" he said, this time with a softer voice but their was still a hint of annoyance present.

"It should've been ready by now. Hey, Rachel! Where's that black coffee?"

Ross turned to the direction Gunther was facing and spotted a dirty blonde-haired woman who was awkwardly bringing over his coffee.

"Sorry it took long. I kinda forgot how to work the coffee machine. But Kathy helped me out a bit so I hope it's not too bad." Her soft velvety voice intrigued Ross for a reason unknown to him that he almost didn't hear her.

"Ross, this is Rachel. She's new. She just started earlier today and is still figuring out how the place runs." Gunther's eyes were somewhat creepily glued to Rachel and Ross wondered if he hired her for his own reasons.

Ross greeted Rachel with a slight nod and she gave him a polite smile. Suddenly, Ross started feeling his hands become sweaty around his cup and he started fidgeting with his free hand.

"You new around here?" Ross was surprised that he was no longer angry and thinking about his lesbian wife. Instead he found a new interest in the woman in front of him that he'd never seem around before.

"Yeah. I actually just moved here a few days ago."

"That explains why I've never seen you around before. Where do you live?" Before he realized what he'd asked, the words slipped out of his mouth. His eyes widened and he tried to recover his slip up. "I mean, not where do you live. It would be weird to ask you where you lived. We barely know each other. It would make more sense if I asked you that if we got to know each other more, like over dinner. NOT that I'm asking you to dinner, just—" Ross sighed and mentally slapped himself. Why was he so nervous with this woman. He wasn't in high school anymore. What was it about her?

Rachel just smiled awkwardly at him. "You know what? I have to go tend to other customers. I'll see you around." With that, she walked away, proceeding to do what she just said.

Ross shut his eyes tightly. 'Where do you live? Where do you live?! What the hell is wrong with you Geller?!' he thought. He blamed it on Carol. Yes, her disturbing news to him must've messed with his head. That's why he acted like a complete creep in front of the girl. It was the only plausible explanation.

He just shook his head and recovered his composure. He said a quick goodbye to Gunther and swiftly left the coffee house. He had no time to deal with this right now. He was probably facing a divorce sooner or later so he had to prepare himself for that as much and as soon as possible. He took a sip of the drink in his hand and almost spit it out.

What the hell was in that coffee? That Rachel girl definitely got the order wrong because what he just put in his mouth was definitely not black coffee, or any coffee at all. He searched for a garbage can and immediately threw out the cup. He took some comfort in knowing that at least he wasn't the only one who messed up in his interaction with the new waitress.

He decided that might as well wait in his sister's apartment to drop the news to everybody that he turned his wife into a lesbian. He was already dreading the jokes Chandler would no doubt invent.

"Niiice." Joey was the first one to speak after the shocked silence that had filled the room.

Ross just turned to him and gave him one of his deadliest glares. Monica slapped him on the arm. She looked to his brother then.

"How could this happen?" Ross just let out a deep, tired sigh. He anticipated the questions. He just didn't have the answers for them.

"I don't know. She told me it had nothing to do with me, none of it way my fault." He said the last sentence in a mocking tone.

"Aww, sweetie. It's not. None of it is. Maybe she's just confused. You know, like she's going through a phase. Like Chandler was, remember?"

"Hey! I didn't go through any phases! If anything, the memory of my dad and the pool boy permanently prevented me from going through anything!" Chandler said.

The rest of the group rolled their eyes, having heard more than enough stories about Chandler's dad.

"I doubt it. She said there was someone else. Apparently there's this woman from her gym that she fell in love with. I mean, how is that even possible? How can you fall out of love so fast, with someone who's the same sex as you as well?" Everyone was went silent again, giving Ross sympathetic eyes.

"What are you gonna do now?" Phoebe asked.

"I don't know. I guess a divorce is soon on its way." Ross said sadly.

"That's it? You're just giving up?"

"What can I do Phoebs? How can I compete against a woman?"

"You know, you don't have to. You can always have a threesome." Joey said casually, as if what he just said didn't sound disturbing.

Ross just rolled his eyes. Sometimes he wondered how Joey can easily get plenty women with his dim witted brain.

Ross stood up and grabbed his coat. "Look, I have to go. I'll go back to the apartment and try to get more answers. I'll be back tomorrow."

Monica stood up to greet her brother goodbye. "Alright honey. Call me if you need anything."

Ross just nodded and hugged his sister. He said a goodbye to his friends and left the apartment.

"If Carol does want a threesome and Ross refused, you think she'd ask someone else? Say, me?"

"Joey!" everyone scolded.

Again, very new to the whole FanFiction world. Anyone have any critiques please share them ;)

Also, check out my other stories. I don't know if anyone is reading it, cause I only received one review (thank you to that person). A simple "nice" would be greatly appreciated. I hope I don't sound too desperate ;)
