The screen light up to a night's sky and as it paned down it showed two figures having sex.
Everyone in the audience was shocked to see such an act shown on screen, it was meant to be an act shared between two lovers people who choose to give all to one another and private but here it was being shown on screen.
As the camera reached the two figures it showed a beautiful blonde woman being pinned down by the male on top of her.
As everyone in the audience recognized the man as their ever suffering now sleeping friend they were all left speechless, Reinhard and Frederica moved to cover Felt's and Petra's eyes respectively, all but the silver-haired half-elf who did not recognize the action.
"What are they doing?" She asked innocently looking at the two.
Everyone in the audience turned to look at her with a shocked expression all having the same thought.
'Is she not mad?'
All outside of her camp looked at her with disbelief all trying to find a reason for her calm deminer after Subaru's actions.
'She must be concealing her anger
It was the conclusion, everyone, in the audience, reached, though to say it was a conclusion they reached due to rational thinking would be a lie, it would be more accurate to say that they were trying to make sense of nonsense, for they lacked the context necessary to reach the accurate conclusion.
'Damn feel bad for him once we get out of here' thought Al as he imagined all the punishment the half-elf would put his bro through after finding out his past, once again lacking the context to acutely predict the Half-elves reaction.
"Ahh, ahh, that's good"
The woman moaned in pleasure.
Wilhelm for the first science he had met the young boy questioned his love for his mistress.
Did you have someone else before Emilia-sama, was I just number 3 for you Subaru-kun?" Murmured Rem in a voice unheard by anyone but her own sister, who herself let out a bearly heard.
"Damn it Barusu." Growled Ram
"That's very good"
Spoke the woman as her teeth turned into fangs and her flawless skin turned into horrifying flesh and her hair into discussing tentacles, her arms and legs grew longer as she moved them to capture Subaru as she moved her tongue to his face.
"What the?" Garfield said as he saw the screen change from his captain being awesome to him about to be eaten alive.
"Oh shit," Said Ricardo his hands having moved to cover the eyes of the children near him.
"What's happening," said Mimi trying to remove the wolfman's arm from her eyes.
"Was he not aware who he was committing such acts with, was she just someone he met who offered and he accepted?" Pondered Reinhard out loud, he had read stories about monsters who tempted men into sex and killed them if they accepted, and while he had not believed them he began to doubt his previous judgment.
"You fell for my trap fool"
She said traping him while licking his scarred face.
"This is your last taste of heaven before you fall to hell."
She said before Subaru moved his right hand to her head and his left metal arm to her mouth.
Everyone was shocked, not only because they were expecting Subaru to fall into despair, but because of his arm being made of metal.
"The only one trapped is you bitch."
Said Subaru having an evil smile and his left eye shining pure white.
"Wait w-" before Felt could continue a loud explosion was heard in the theater causing everyone but Reinhard and Priscilla to close their ears, Reinhard because the sound was not loud enough to cause him pain, and Priscilla because of her pride.
Everyone saw Subaru's hand release an explosion that blew the daemon's face off.
Subaru put his cape back on and gave one last look at the demon he'd just killed before walking off.
"What was that?" Asked the Duchess glaring daggers at the screen.
"Is this another part of Subaru-smash life he never told us about?" Asked Petra as everyone turned to look at Beatrice expecting her to know something.
"Bettys Subaru never told me anything about this I suppose." Said Beatrice sitting on Subaru's lap as he slept.
"Would you mind explaining to us what we're seeing Screen-Sama?" Otto being the voice of reason spoken, as he deciding that Speculating about what they were seeing was a waste of time, instead choosing to ask the source directly.
What you are seeing is Subaru's original life
"Th'ell does that mean?" Asked Garfield dissatisfied with the answer.
"Wait do you mean reincarnation is real?" This time it was the usually quiet helmeted knight that spoke.
"What are you talking about Aldebaran?" Asked the fiery Princess seated directly above him.
"It was a religious concept in my old world, basically once you die you get reborn as something new if you were an evil person you would be like a bug or something, if you were good you'd get born in like a rich family. As Al finished his explanation everyone was quite intrigued by the religion from another world.
"So is that what happened to Subaru-sama, he was a good person so he was reborn in a good family?" Asked Petra
"If I understood what the Screen told us correctly." Responded Al
Yea, no you didn't.
"Ah well can't always be right." Said Al seemingly unfazed by the fact that he was wrong.
It was a good hypothesis with the information that I had given you but you simply didn't have enough to deduce the correct answer.

The cast looked confused as they hurt weird noises.

"Hold up you think you can just leave us without an explanation." Screamed Felt.
Subaru walked into a city as he passed by a carriage he looked at the caged children covered in white clothes.
"I'm afraid he just did Felt-sama." Spike Reinhard with a smile and no sense of sarcasm, which Felt took as mockery going in for a kick, which Reinhard caught.
Suddenly a giant knife was thrown into a piece of wood landing under a pair of legs.
"Damn"
"Oh you missed"
The two men in armor spoke.
The room was filled with disapproving and or discussed looks.
A small naked figure with long ears raised up blue hair and eyes without any genitalia, and a pair of wings on its back, it was tied with a rope around his neck.
"What's that?" Asked Felt.
"I have never seen anything like that I suppose." Said Beatrice, causing everyone to conclude that It was not a creature that existed in their world.
Everyone looked at Al.
"What?" He asked confused.
"We were wondering if you know of this creature, it does not exist in our world so we were wondering if you are familiar with it." Said Reinhard.
"Sorry bro I've never seen anything like that." Said Al.
"I see." Said Reinhard.
Al started thinking of why this creature he had never heard of was being shown on screen, the rest of the audience just assumed he had never come across such a creature.
"Stop squirming around how am I supposed to hit you?"
Said the fat thug as he pointed towards the creature.
"I feel bad for that elf."
Said a man seated on the other side of the bar.
"Elf?" Emilia said confused by the difference between a race with the same name in different worlds.
"Well it's another world It's only natural there would be different races." Spoke the green-haired duchess.
"Interesting" Spoke Julius showing an interest in a whole new world to him at least.
"There's nothing we can do about it."
Said the man in front of him.
"Not even the lord Mayor can lay a hand on the men of Koka castle.
Best to not get involved."
He said as Subaru walked in and turned to look at the men.
"Why do I get the feeling Captain gonna fuck these guys up." Said Garfield.
"Garfield language." Scolted Fredericka.
"Yea beat them up big bro" Felt jumped in.
"While normally Subaru is the last guy I'd expect to beat up several guys, I get the feeling this time is going to be different." Said the merchant.
"Yea this Subaru does seem different." Said Ricardo as he was getting a feeling from this Subaru on screen that he got from many other mercenaries.
Subaru walked up to the bartender and put down some coins and said.
"I'm going to mess up your shop a bit"
The bartender gave him a confused look before Subaru pulled out a crossbow.
"Is he going to fight?" Said, Mimi.
Everyone in the theater respected Subaru, especially after what they had seen, he was a great man in all their eyes, but everyone had to admit that strength was not one of his good points.
"Bring it on fathead, why don't you untie me, I'll gnaw right through your arteries."
Said the little tied creature.
"I'm going to stuff those words right back down your throat! Now stop wiggling." Said the fat man as the small creature screamed and wiggled around unable to escape due to the leash around its neck.
"Is the little elf going to die?" Asked Petra which caused everyone in the audience to wonder that the screen had not referenced from showing death so it wasn't too far stretched.
Suddenly an arrow flew through the tavern right into the fat man's head pinning him to a wooden pillar.
"Wha" questioned the elf as everyone in the bar was shocked by the sudden attack.
Causing shock to spread throughout the theater.
"What?" Wailed Rem, it was not the action itself that caused her to scream, no, it was who the screen had communicated was the killer, her Subaru.
Subaru had never killed anyone, but now he did it with no hesitation, it wasn't something Rem could accept.
"Bastard who the hell--!?" Said another one of the thugs before he and two of his other friends were shot with arrows.
As the screen turned to show Subaru in black armor a metal left arm with s crossbow on it and a giant sword on his back,
But the most noticeable feature to those on the theater was his right eye or well lack thereof.
"Why is he missing an eye?" Asked Trevor.
"Perhaps this version of Subaru-dono is more experienced in battle?" Proposed Wilhelm.
"If that's the case how come this version of him is week?" Asked Mimi.
"We don't say much this about Capitan" screamed Garfield.
"Well to be fair Subaru-key is not any good in a straight fight." Said Felix and while during the viewing he had gained a massive level of respect for him, the fact remained Subaru was not a fighter, he was a friend, leader, big brother but fighting was where he lacked as if God gave everything but strength and told him to make due.
"Haa ar' ya asking for a fight" screamed Garfield.
"Garfield," said Otto putting his hand on his bro's shoulder to calm down.
"Wile Subaru might be really cool his strength is not the reason for that Garfield." Said, Emilia as she looked at him eye to eye, Garfield wanted to scream at ger but before he could begin Emilia continued.
"But the Subaru on the screen looks to be different." She said causing everyone to ponder the difference between the two Subaru's they knew.
"The screen said he was reincarnated so perhaps in that process he lost a lot of his strength." Said Reinhard as he tried to wrap his mind around the difference between his friend shown on screen and the one he knew.
"So capitan got cheated out of his strength." Said Garfield.
"I think we will find out if we just continue watching." Spoke the green-haired woman seated next to the boy in question.
As the thug started to tremble he look to his side for an exit before an arrow got shot through his nose causing him to scream before Subaru grabbed the arrow.
Everyone in the theater was shocked to see Subaru doing such violent acts.
"Is that really Subaru-kun?" Questioned Rem.
"How did you change so much Barusu." Pondered Ram.
"Is that really Subaru-same?" said Crusch.
"That's gotta hurt," said the elf.
"Your one of the thugs from Koka Castle aren't you?" Asked Subaru, only to be meet by grunts from the thug.
Subaru pushed the thug to a table embedding the arrow in the table.
"Answer me," said Subaru.
Nearly all the cast flinched from the violent way Subaru on-screen was acting all but Priscilla who was looking with great interest.
"Natsuki-san seems a lot more violent in this viewing." Said the merchant princess, as everyone silently nodded in a bitter acceptance of reality.
Emilia was holding Subaru's hand tight several bones had been broken but she hadn't noticed, she merely gained blissful comfort from it.
"Y-yes sir," the man said.
"Alright, then I suppose you can deliver a message to your boss for me." Said Subaru
"Wha-what-what message?" Asked the man.
"So Subaru is after their boss, while no doubt effective this is an overly violent method." Spoke Julius, criticizing his junior knight's methods.
"Well ya said it it's effective, so can ya blame the kid." Said the mercenary earnings some starers from several women in the audience, immediately after deciding to keep his mouth shut.
"The black swordsman has come.
That's all."
Said Subaru as the thug looked at him.
"Behind you" screamed the elf.
This caused the entire audience to the edge of their seats as the screen showed a thug running behind Subaru.
Subaru moved his foot to face the man put his hand to the hilt at his back, and as it left the cloak a massive sword larger than most men left it, and as Subaru gained a proper grasp on it, he slammed it down on the man cutting him in half, and as blood poured out of hid body like water out of a cut bottle all the man could say before losing his life was a shortlived "eh?", the force of the attack sent the top half flying to a table on the other side of the tavern causing several people who were at the table to flee from it.
Everyone in the tavern looked at the scene in shock.
The audience was left speechless by many factors, the act in question, the weapon used, but most of all the user of said weapon, their week friend Natsuki Subaru.
"I-Is that really Subaru-Kun?" Rem spoke the words that were on everyone's mind albeit with a different honorific.
After all, could the man on screen really be the boy they had just spent days watching suffer? The weak boy from another world, the always cheerful boy who pulled so many of them out of their darkness, the boy who was their friend with no strings attached, the boy who embarrassed himself in front of them, the boy who saved their lives, the boy who allowed them their revenge, the boy who loved them, could he really have at one point been this cold ruthless brutal murderer and while no one in the audience wanted to say it, could he really have been this killing machine.
No one could say anything, all they could do was silently question their friend's humanity.
The only one who stopped himself was Reinhard.
'How can I think such things of Subaru he's never treated me as a monster, yea he has called me a monster before but he has been nothing but a friend he has only treated me as Reinhard, not a monster not the sword saint but as Reinhard and I question his humanity?'
"Damn, I really am a monster." He whispered so quietly that even his mistress could not hear.
"How interesting" spoke a clown in the audience.
"It was too big to be called a sword" the screen gave insight into the elf's on-screen thoughts.
'Massive, heavy, and far too rough. Indeed it was like a heap of raw iron.'
"I suppose that's an accurate description," said Anastasia, and everyone silently agreed.
"I'm counting on you." Said Subaru as he left.
"Um...um excuse me! HEY!" spoke the elf as he tried to get Subaru's attention, unable do to his
"Wait a second don't leave me here."
As Subaru left the bar the elf could only let out an "aw man".
"So he wasn't trying to save that elf" spoke Ram trying to remove the tension that had formed.
"It seems like Subaru-sama was trying to get the attention of those guy's employer," said the green-haired duchess.
"Hey wait up," said the elf as it flew towards Subaru.
"If you're gonna save someone you don't just leave them tied up like that."
Subaru just continued walking not responding.
"That elf doesn't seem to get it tho," said Al.
"You're supposed to follow the thought to the end, y'know!"
Subaru continued to ignore the elf (A.N If you are caught up with Berserk you might be noticing a little plot hole here)
"Say that's quite the sword got there or should I call it a slab?" Said the elf.
"That seems like an accurate description I suppose." Said Beatrice.
"Indeed, I have seen people who used big swords but none as big as the one Subaru-Dono is being shown using" spoke the old Butler.
"Yea my amazing selves Capitan is awesome" screamed Garfield getting up from his seat and raising his arm up in a victory pose.
Subaru continued to ignore the elf.
"Oh yea I'm puck nice to meet ya," said, Puck.
"Hm Subaru knew another Puck?" Said, Emilia.
"Well, three worlds there are bound to be people who have the same name." Said Al.
"You see I was in a Troupe of traveling performers but we were attacked by those bums since then I've been locked in a mynah bird's cage and soaked in a wine bottle. It's a wonder I'm still alive. That's for sure." Ranted Puck.
Subaru continued to ignore Puck and Puck continued to talk.
"The town was also attacked several times but the lord mayor made a deal with the thugs."
"In exchange for tribute, they promised that they'd leave the town free and there'd be no more raids."
"But after this, I guess they'll start attacking again."
Subaru remained silent.
"I never thought I'd say this but, Natsuki-san really doesn't seem talkative here."
"hahahahahaha" the theater erupted in laughter even the fiery Princess could not help but laugh, of course, she was hiding it.
"Nya Subaru-kyn really is talkative isn't he." Said Felix.
"Subaru does love joking around." Said Emilia.
As the mood of the theater brightened up the viewing continued.
"You know if I were you I'd get out of town fast," said Puck
"I mean if they catch you they'll cut you to pieces."
"So those men have terrorized the city and now are going after Subaru for fighting back," Julius said, trying to give his friend the moral high ground.
"They can try capiten will kill them with that giant sword." Said Garfield.
"Yea beat them up Subaru-Sama" screamed Petra who had kept quiet thought the viewing, trying to ignore the gruesome slaughtering her crusher had committed.
"This version of him will beat them even without Betty's help I suppose." Said the great spirit.
"And it's not just the thugs either." Said Puck as he started to lower himself to Subaru's shoulder
"Now that the Lord Mayor has a pact with them even the guard's will-" as Puck touched Subaru's shoulder only to immediately be slapped away from Subaru.
"Ow that Hurt what did you do that for?" Said Puck holding his butt.
This caused the fiery princess to once again get even more interested in the boy.
"Don't touch me I'll squash you" said Subaru.
"What is it with you? A person shows you a little concern and you respond with that stuck-up attitude of yours!" Screamed Puck.
Suddenly Subaru was surrounded by numerous guards with meany crossbows
"See I told you," said puck
"Well got to go," he said as he flew away.
"Well so much for that." Said Anastasia.
"Capitan still awesome"
The image switches to blood falling from a foot and as the image moved upwards it showed a well-built chest bleeding from several scars.
Emilia put her hands to her mouth and everyone's face turned to differing degrees of discussion, as everyone knew who was.
As the image moved to show the entire of Subaru's scared body.
"Bastard" groveled Garfield.
A fat man slapped the whip to his hand and said.
"Your a stubborn basted you know that."
The man moved the whip to Subaru's chin and said.
"Aren't ya gonna make even a little Noize huh?"
As a response, Subaru spits blood on his face.
"Yea way to go capiten." Rored Garfield.
"Hm well-done bro," said Al.
The action caused everyone in the theater to smile.
"Bastard" as the man raised the whip to strike he was stopped by an old voice.
"STOP!"
An old man was escorted by several guards.
"That's enough for now."
"Milord," said the fat torturer.
"That stockpile of weapons, it belongs to that man?" Asked the man.
"Yes, Lord Mayor. Enough weapons to start his war, crazy bastard." Said the torturer.
"You are you a mercenary?" said the Mayor.
"..." Subaru didn't respond.
"So this Subaru was a mercenary in his previous life." Noted Julius.
"I wonder if I could get him back to his old profession?" Said Anastasia trying to find a way to get access to the boys power.
Causing stares to come from the woman next to said boy.
"A complete stranger to these parts...
You've done a terrible thing, do you have any idea what have you done!
Because you murdered those me... This town may very well be destroyed." Spoke the Mayor.
"Are you telling me those guards standing there are scarecrows?" Said Subaru.
"Tell em capiten," said Garfield.
"Hm pussies just giving up and rolling over tell them bro" continued Felt.
"Felt-Sama," said Reinhard trying to correct his lady's words.
"What" screamed the guard as he went in to stab Guts but was stopped by the mayor.
"You have no idea how horrible he is... The ruler of those men..." The screen changed to a man in armor with a snake-shaped helmet riding a horse.
"What is that creature," asked Emila.
"It's a horse a creature that served as ground dragons before they were replaced by cars in fact" explained the great spirit.
"He... That thing is... Is beyond human. It's something horrible and incomprehensible. A creature from the very depths of the pit... No one can kill him... At least not anyone human." Said the Mayor.
"I see so that's why you made your dirty deal with him." Said Subaru.
"How can you understand! A wandering Vagrant like yourself."
"I understand," said Subaru.
"I know all about it how he's a monster that eats human flesh I know it very well."
The audience was shocked the screen closed into Subaru's eye and it was the look of a veteran.
"He's been fighting those things." Once again spoke the old butler.
"Yes, he seems to know about these monsters that Mayor is talking about." Spoke Crusch
"So capitan went around fighting monsters hell yea capiten is awesome."
"So this is a story about Subaru going around fighting monsters." Said, Emilia.
"It would appear so." Said Crusch.
"Ignorant fools," said, Priscilla.
"What do you mean Princess?" asked Al.
"The screen has never shown us irrelevant things, so merely showing us him fighting monsters would be nothing more than a waste of time." Said the Fiery princess.
"Well, it did show us the whole snow festival I fail to see the purpose of that," said Al.
"Hm, that indeed had a purpose." Responded Priscilla.
"Would you please enlighten me, princess?" Asked Al.
"It was to make the computers understand the boy's connection with the blue-haired made," said Priscilla.
"So show don't tell," said Al
"Indeed by showing them their relationship it gave them a better understanding of it and what happened to the girl if you remember." She said.
"Sorry, princess wasn't paying attention," said Al.
"The girl said her memory was restored." She said.
"So it was to make that moment hit harder damn what is this an anime." Contemplated Al.
"What are you talking about?" said Priscilla.

Those words caused everyone to snap back at the screen.

As Subaru spoke those words everyone realized what he meant.
"Subaru passed them and did nothing."Said Emilia not believing her Knight would let innocents die.
"No way Subaru-kun always saves people thee got to be a reason." Said Rem defending her hero's actions.
"He must have had a reason," said Otto.
"Indeed, Subaru always has gone out of his way to help people" spoke Julius defending his friend.
Everyone in the audience was silent, no one could say anything, who could they? Their friend had left people to die and did nothing to save them, what's more, he didn't even seem to care that they died, and so once again they were left questioning their friend's humanity.
"How amusing" whispered the fiery princess, her face hidden by her fan.
"Protect this town? don't you mean to protect yourself?" asked Subaru.
"Capitan's right that old man's sending humans to that monster it's his fault," said Garfield
"So he's sacrificing the people to save himself," said Julius while glaring at the man.
The old man grasped at his chest causing Subaru to smile.
"Do it torture him as much as you want I don't care. But don't kill him, we still have to hand him over to Koka castle alive." said the old man.
"Looks like he just made things worse for himself," said Al.
"Ha, what are ya talking about Capitan called him out on his bullshit," said Garfiked promin a scolding from his sister.
"Garfield Language."
"He's right that old man is covering his ass while sacrificing other people he's a total piece of shit," screamed Felt.
"Felt-sama please do not use such vulgar laiungege." Said Reinhard.
"Prepare ny carriage immediately. It's best I go to koka castle and beg for forgiveness myself." said the old man.
"So now he's going to beg for his live to that monster, ironically proving Natsuki-san right." Spoke the mearchet Prinsess.
The screen showed a castle from witch two voices were heared.
"The black swordsman you say?" spoke a new voice.
"Yes sir," said the thug that had been given a message from Subaru.
"His sword was so big it towered over him, and he split dene in half with one stroke.
he is dressed in all black and had a fake arm made of metal...a really shady looking guy.' said the thug
'Could it be him' pondered the man? as the camera showed him eating his deaths so sharp one could even call them fangs.
The way he infested the word him made the audience uncomfortable.
"Does he have a history with Subaru?" asked Julius.
"I think we just need to continue watching," said Otto.
"My lord." spoke a guard.
"What is it" responded the man.
"That wrench the mayor is at the castle gates waiting at the castle gates. he requested an audience with you about the recent incident."
"Ha, so even bandits consider that Mayor a piece of shit," said Felt
"It would appear so." Said Reinhard as he gave up trying to correct his mistress's Language.
"I see," said the man.
"It's been a while mayor how good of you to come." spoke the man causing the Mayor to gulp before speaking.
"Y-Your lordship. I've come to ask forgiveness for the recent transgression."
The screen showed the Baron eating.
"This was the act of a vagrant who is unfamiliar with our ways. There is no connection with any of the town's folk."
The baron did not respond.
"I'll give you double the number of prisoners and gold from now on"
"So he's giving up the lives of the people to save his own" Spoke the duchess agreed by the man's cowardice.
"He's a horrible person." Said Emilia.
"So, please-" before he could continue the baron cut him off.
"You look troubled"
"eh?"
"Unlike before you now worried about losing your own life aren't you." said the baron causing the Mayor to freeze in place.
"Aren't you Mayor?" said the baron as he threw the piece of meat he had in his fork into the mayor's hand, and as he looked at it he realized it was a human ear.
"Ah ahhh" screamed the Mayor as he dropped and moved away from the human ear.
"Wait so he actually eats humans?" Said Anastasia.
"The mayor did say that," said Julius.
"I thought he was just calling him a monster I didn't think he meant it literally." said the Merchant princess.
"Well, it appears as if theeeeeese are the monster Subaru-kuuuuun will be battling." spoke the man dressed as a clown.
"gold, prisoners, I don't care about such things." said the baron as the Mayor remained silent.
"All I wish to see are humans within a fiery apocalypse trying to escape, all I wish to hear is the sound of breaking bones crushed under the hooves of horses." the baron turned to look at the terrified mayor and once again spoke.
"I don't even need an excuse non at all."
"He really fits the description of monsters I suppose." Spoke the great spirit worried about the monster coming after her contractor.
"Indeed Makes you wonder how he became a baron in the first place," said Emilia causing Reinhard to look away with shame in his eyes.
The guards grabbed the Mayor and began to drag him away.
"What are you doing let go of me." Ordered the Mayor but he was ignored.
"My lord my lord" As he was being pulled away he begged but his pleas were all for not as the guards dragged him out of the room.
'The black swordsman' pondered The baron.
The screen showed Subaru in a cell lying without a shirt on, his back full of old and new wounds.
Everyone had a look of worry for the boy some fear that he may die once again others pity for his state.
'Where am I?' Thought Subaru as he tried to move.
'Damn it I can't move' After trying cor a bit Subaru looked up to a small pile of hay to see a small features-like creature its body weirdly mangled and weirdly proportioned, 'you again' Thought Subaru.
"He seems to know that um thing," Said Mimi.
"Indeed it appears as if that thing has some connection with Subaru-Sama. Said Crusch.
As it moved towards Subaru he screamed
"Get away from me... GET AWAY FROM ME!" before he could continue he heard something fall into a pool of water, he looked to see Puck with a set of keys around him.
"It's that wielded elf from before," said Tivey
"It seems as if it came back for Betty's contractor I suppose" Said Beatrice.
'What's with that all of a sudden you scared the hell out of me." said Puck.
"You from the tavern," said Subaru before looking where the demon was only to see it had disappeared.
"Had a nightmare, wow they really worked you over there didn't they, well rest assured I gave that egghead guard something to sleep on," said Puck.
Beatrice flinched at the word nightmare.
'Are these the kind of nightmares you have every night I wonder?'
"Wow everywhere I look you're covered in wounds, I told ya you should have listed to me." said the Elf.
"What did you come here for?" asked Subaru.
"To repay a debt we Elf's have a strong sense of duty." Proclaimed Puck.
"It seems they are an honorable race." Said, Julius.
"Indeed," said Reinhard.
"Hm now let's se-" As Puck began talking he touched Subaru causing him to scream.
"Don't Touch Me" screed Subaru causing Puck to back away.
"Don't you ever touch me..."
"what's with big bro," asked Felt.
"Yea Subaru doesn't mind being touched," said Emilia.
And while everyone in the audience was pondering why the Subaru on screen was the way he was Wilhelm understood exactly why he was like that, and he hated himself for understanding.
"The hell, I ain't gonna do anything bad to you," said Puck.
'But others have' Thought Wilhelm feeling horrible for the boy's experience.
"Grandfather?" Spoke Reinhard, showing his concern for Wilhelm.
"Are you alright," he said with a look of concern.
"I'm fine thank you for worrying Reinhard" Said Wilhelm.
Puck moved closer to Subaru causing Subaru to try and back off.
"Look at you you in no position to give me that kind of attitude, now be quiet and let me handle it," said Puck
"Stop," said Subaru before stopping.
The screen showed Puck flapping his wings and dust coming off them.
"The pain is dissipating," said Subaru
"So these Elf's have an innate ability to heal," said Julius.
"Yes it would appear so, it seems akin to a dragon's fire breath," said Reinhard.
"I wonder if they have other abilities." Said Anastasia.
"We elf's got all sorts of powers. we can heal wounds, sense people's emotions, we can even make people happy," said Puck.
"Wow Elves in Subaru's old word were awesome," said Petra.
"Indeed," said Crusch.
"Or at least that's what our troupe leader said before he got his head cut off by bandits." Said, Puck.
"So he doesn't know all his powers?" Asked Emilia.
"Seems like it." Said Crusch.
"Say what's your name?" asked Puck.
"... Subaru"
"Why did you come to this town anyway?" asked Puck, But Subaru didn't respond.
"You don't have to answer if you don't want to."Said Puck, when suddenly he noticed a brand on Subaru's neck
"Hey, what is this. This thing on your neck it looks like a crest or something," said Puck
The audience looked at the Brand on his neck it seemed as if it had been burned thereby hot iron making everyone to feel worried.
"Was Subaru a slave?" said Felix.
"Seems possible how else would he get such a mark a crest of his previous owner perhaps," Said Julius causing several glares from the Emilia and Crusch camps
Suddenly Subaru got up causing Puck to fall and ask.
"What did I do this time," said Puck but stopped when he saw Subaru's serious look, Subaru moved his hand to the Crest and said.
"It's the brand"
Puck look at him before beginning to ask.
"The brand? What's that? what does it mean? How did it happen? Who did it to you huh?" asked Puck
"That Elf doesn't seem to understand personal boundaries." Said, Rem.
"You talk too much you know that? Said Subaru.
"Uh"
"You'll find out soon enough, pretty sure he'll come here to kill me."
"So that monster Will be coming for Barusu." Said Ram.
"Yea but big bro will kill it just like he did with those thugs."
"Yea Capitan will fuck them up." Screamed Garfield.
"Beat him up Subaru-Sama" screamed Petra.
This caused a chain reaction that erupted the theater into cheers and encouragement for Subaru but it was cut short by Subaru's next words.
"...As well as burn this whole town to the ground."
The theater had gone quiet, their friend had just admitted to being the cause of what would soon become the burning of an entire town, and what's more, he didn't seem to care, at that very moment Subaru resembled the witch cultists that he had lead to their deaths so many times, and now he was acting like one of them, ignoring peoples lives and well being all for his single-minded objective.
"Subaru will save won't he," said, Emilia.
everyone in the audience wanted to say " Yea of course I know Subaru well enough to say that he won't stop until he saves everyone", but no one could truly bring themselves to say that, not after what they had seen.
"Does that mean it's those guys from Koka castle?" asked Puck, Subaru only smiled.
"You you mean you're going to drag the townspeople into all this!?" said Puck
"... I don't care," said Subaru.
Those words shuck everyone on both sides of the screen, the man who had saved so many of them, said he just doesn't care for innocent people.
"All I want to do is find that bastard and kill him, I don't care about anything else," said Subaru.
"Does he really not care about the people who'll get hurt in the process?" Asked Julius.
"No, he'll save them" Screamed Emilia causing everyone to look at her.
"Subaru does care he will save them like he always does." tears had started to form in the half-elf's eyes.
There was a deadly silence in the theater no one wanted to disagree with Emilia, but this Subaru had shown no reason to believe that he would help.
"He won't I suppose" Spoke Beatrice.
"What are you talking about Beatrice Subaru has always saved people why would he randomly stop, that makes no sense." Tears were freely flowing down Emilia's face.
"Nit this Subaru this Subaru is only interested in killing that man nothing else on fact," said Beatrice.
"Beatrice your Subaru's contractor how can you say that about him?" once again screamed Emilia dropping the temperature in the theater causing Reinhard to Ready himself for battle.
"This Subaru is different I suppose he only seems to care about killing that man in fact," Beatrice screamed back
"He's not the Subaru I made a contract with I suppose," said Beatrice tears falling down her face.
"That's not Subaru whatsoever." Said, Emilia.
"I don't care what the screen says" It was not a conclusion brought about by logic, it was a conclusion brought about by an inability to accept reality.
It might be difficult to accept but it indeed is the case.
Said the screen trying to get Emilia to accept reality."
"No, he's nothing like the Subaru we've seen, not even the one you've shown us how can we accept this?" asked Emilia.
"You may not like this version of Subaru, but it did happen.
"You're lying why should we even trust you," said Emilia.
It's fine if you don't but you will keep viewing and you will understand by the end of it.
"I don't believe you, and I won't no matter what." Said, Emilia Picking Subaru up and leaving.
I think it's time for a break.
He Said as the screen as it turned off and all the members of the audience returned to their rooms.
