A/N: Hey guys! I saw this photo where the seven where laughing and Leo was just at the side, all depressed, and it sparked this idea. Sorry for making them a bit OOC.
Leo's PoV:
Leo stood to the side as the rest of the seven laughed to one of Percy's jokes.
He slouched and turned the other way.
They never seemed to notice.
Leo felt his heart fill with despair, as he walked into te shadow of the big HOuse and walked to Cabin nine.
he took out a Knife. It wavered over his wrist. He wanted to do it. He needed to feel pain. He knew it would serve him right. for all the 'yo mama' jokes he'd made. For all the mistakes he'd made.
For dieing.
He hated himself for dieing.
If he didn't die, he would've been able to see Jason before he died.
He winced as he cut a slit for every mistake he'd made.
he deserved it.
He was a slimy peice of shit.
He looked at teh blood pouring down his arm, and then he quickly washed the woulnds, wincing, and then bandaged his wrist.
he pulled his sleeves over the cuts.
He walked outside wearing a huge smile.
It was fake.
They never seemed to notice.
He walked back to them.
They where still laughing.
They hadn't noticed.
"Just went to ask joe if we could hang out later." he said loudly.
"Who's joe?" Piper asked.
"Joe mama!"Leo grinned.
He joked because he hated himself.
maybe if he played the role of happiness, he would feel it?
It didn't work.
They all frowned, exept for Percy.
Ananebth glared.
"You don't know what it was like to grow up without a mom, atleast you had a fster mom who cared about you."Annabeth said.
Leo smile turned into a frown.
He didn't have afoster mom who cared about him.
She beated him.
leo slunk back into the shadows as Percy comforted Annabeth.
Only Piper seemed to notice.
She followed him.
he didn't know at teh time, but she'd folowed him.
He'd walked into the hephestus cabin, he'd started punchign teh wall.
He didnt' care for teh splinters.
Or the bruises.
he kept punchign teh wall.
He took out his knife and started cutting his other hand, as fast as he could.
Piper put a hand to her mouth and ran back to the others.
He could see PIper crying out his window.
His eyes widened.
Why was she cryign?
Leo put band-aids on his nuckles, and he ran out.
"pipes, what's wrong?" he asked, worriedly.
They all turned to him, they looked guilty.
"GUys?" Leo asked.
"Leo, I'm-I'm sorry." Ananbeth said.
Leo was terrofied? Had pipeor followed him? Had she saw the scars?
Leo laguhed nervously. "For what? I should apologize. I made the joke."
"I'm so sorry." Ananbeth said again, on teh verge of tears.
She envoloped him in a hug.
Leo's breath hitched.
No, no,no,no, no. They couldn't know. tehy would pity him-they wouldn't understand.
They couldn't.
They never did.
leo didn't hug back.
He just stared.
he stared.
he stared some more.
he stared again.
zthen he laughed.
he laughed.
He laughed more.
He laughed again.
"No." He let his feeling pour out of him.
"No. NO I don't forgive you. NO I don't." leo said.
They flinched.
"Who followed me? Hmm? Who followed me?" he asked.
They looked scared.
"PIper." Percy croaked.
Leo turned to Piper.
He tried not to get angry.
here was his friend.
His friend who ignored his feelings.
HIs friend who hurt him.
His whole body burst into flames, as he started to cry.
His face sizzled as he stared to cry.
Looked at teh rest.
"I don't forgive you." he pulled down his sleeves and showed them the bandages, he stopped teh fire.
He calmed down.
"I don't forgive you for doing this." he took of teh band aids, showing them the cuts and teh scars.
"I don't forgive you for this." he took off teh bandages on his knucles.
"YOu don't know what it's like, to be me. You don't know what i's like to be the odd one out. To hurt. You've been through tarturous? I've lost everyone, and everything, even my sanity. You say you've lost everything but you just defined me." leo spat.
"My foster mother aused me, cut me, hit me, beated me.' Ananebth's eyes widened.
"My mistake killed my own mother." He spat at Piper.
"My foster mom wasn't as caring as your mother." He looked at Percy.
He looked at Frank. "My aunt was a Juno."
he looked at Hazel. "YOu loved Frank when I loved you."
"I've beene hurt so many times by you, and I give up! I don't want it anymore! I live for the memory of the Valdez family not for you. For my memory. For my legacy. I never, ever want to see you again." Leo burst and they all looked hoprrified at all the scars.
He laughed. "What? CAt got your tounge? Yes, you did this." he said bitterly as he turned tail and ran.
He ran to NIco's cabin and burst through the door.
His eyes bugged out of his head at what he saw.
"leo?" Nico asked through a mouthful of-somthing.
he turned bright red and walekd out the door.
The door opened again to find Nico and will fully dressed, bright red.
"I need you to-" his voice broke."Travel me to camp Jupiter."
"leo whta's worng?" Will asked, horrified.
He realized his shirt wasn't on and all the scars could be seen.
His eyes turned cold.
"Nothing you need to worry about, solace." Leo spat.
Nico's eyes turned cold, but then they softened again.
"leo-'Wil lstarted.
"Just. Shadow travel me to Camp Jupiter." Leo interupted.
NIco looked to will who nodded, and then took leo's shoulder, they walked through the shadows to camp jupiter.
Leo shut his eyes tight.
when he opened them, he was in the middle of a cuity.
he knew it was camp jupiter.
Nico looked at him solmenly.
"Leo. If you ever need to talk, I'm here. I-I used to cut myself too. I know what it's like. I know it drowns all the other pain in the world, and let's you focus on only your hand. BUt you need to stop, man. It'll really hurt you. Find something else to drown the pain. Love, a new enemy, friends, anything. Don't cut yourself man." Nico said, and he shadow traveled away.
Leo thought about his words.
All his loved ones hurted him or died.
So maybe this would be a fresh start.
he sighed.
From now on he would be a new person. Leo Valdez, son of not hepheaustus, but VUlcan.
he walked towards the forge. Maybe he could get a job at the forges
A few years later
He woke up bleary eyed.
He'd stayed late at the forges last night.
he slipped on hsi robes and walked into his bathroom.
He brushed his teeth and stopped for a second.
"Looking good, sexy."He said to himself in teh mirror, and he shaved the stubble.
He smiled down at his scars. They had all faded away, exept for teh most recent one. It was when Reyna had been dared to kiss someoen else and she'd kissed tehm for too long. She'd explained it was to make him jealous, she had turned bright red.
He walked out fully dressed, he was twenty now.
He walked over to reyna's for breakfast, they had become good friends, evn though there personalities clashed.
NOw they where something more than 'ust friends'.
"Hey babe, is it just me, or is it hot in here? Or was that just you?" he said to reyna who rolled her eyes.
"Shut up, Valdez. We both know that won't work." Reyna said.
"But reina. " he whined.
Reyna smiled att he nickname.
"That worked." Reyna said as she pulled Leo in for a kiss.
"Yesssss." he said thorugh there kiss.
He moved down to her neck.
They broke apart as teh door bell rang.
"Most people are asleep, I mean it's 5 AM. HWere you expecting visiters?" Leo asked curoiusly.
Reyna shook her head.
"I'll get it." Reyna said.
She walked to the door leaving Leo in teh kitchen to make some tea for the two lovers.
He tried not to burn down the place.
he yelped as teh tea caught fire and evaporated.
"no! Down! ah!" he threw water on teh stove and winced at the sizzling.
He prepared his apology.
Just then, reyna walked into the room, her face solemn.
"Reyna, it's not my fault-"leo said as he gestured to the stove.
"It's okay. I made coffee. Leo, you have visiters." Reyna said, stone-faced as she handed him the cup.
"um...sure?"Leo said as he took a long sip of coffee.
HIs eyes bugged out fo his head like they always did when he drank caffiene, then they relaxed and his ADHD got even worse, he seemed more lively.
He walked to the door and as soon as he saw teh poeple standing there, he cropped his cup.
there stood Annabeth, Percy, Hazel, Frank, and Piper.
They all looked paibned.
"Hey leo." Hazel said weakly.
NIco had been the only person who he had kept in touch with, he helped him with the cutting.
HIs eyes turned cold.
"Hazel. Such a pleasure to see you again." he emphazised the word 'pleasure'.
"Come in." he said as he slammed teh door behind them.
The exchanged looks.
"So you're that mad." Percy said.
"Listen, I've prepared 16 different apologies based on how mad you are, but I know they'll never make up for how much I-we hurt you.I-I never noticed. I always thought life was great for you. YOu never told anyone. You never acted sad. I thought you where fine. It was my mistake. I know. I can never make up for it. But please, just say something to tell me that you've not forgottten all the good tiems we've spent together.' Piper looked down at her hands.
They all looked at him, tears glistening in tehre eyes.
"I'm going to go get some more coffee." Leo said as he got up.
PIper started to cry.
As soon as he walked into the kitchen, Reyna handed him another cup of coffee and clsoed teh door conecting the two rooms.
"Leo. YOu have to try. They're clearly sorry, you mean so much to them. Please, try. IT's like you once said to me. 'I didn't know how much you meant to me until you hurt me.' They didn't know any better. Look what you're doing to them." Reyna said, nbeing teh voice of reason as she opened the door to reveal all of them, looking so hurt.
"I can't." Leo said simply.
Reyna took a deep breath.
Then she slapped him.
"Leo ezpersena valdez you will atleast try to become friends with them again or you're gettign out of my house." Reyna glared at him.
Leo stared at her. tehy seemed to be arguing with there eyes.
Reyna sighed.
"Look. I know they hurt you. BUt did you ever stop to think that you might've hurt them with anything you said? GO. try to be frinds with them." Reyna pulled him into a small kiss and her hands slid from the back of his neck to his hands.
She stared him in the eyes.
"Okay." leo said.
He walked back into the living room and took a sip of tea.
He sat down and they all stared at him intently.
"What's so intresting about drinking tea?" Leo asked.
They all smiled and they envoloped him in a big hug.
"Alright! ALright! Get off me, you're squezzing me my arm doesn't bend that way!" Leo said through the smothering.
They got off him.
"We're so sorry, for everything. For all the pain and hurt. We didn't know. Please forgive us." Percy said.
Leo winked. "You know it. How could I ever get mad at Team Leo? They're my team! My amigos. My partners in crime.' Hazel laughed.
"Hey, reina, we're going out for breakfast, you comign?" he asked.
"Sure." Reyna grabbed her purse.
"so since when are yo uand reyna a thing?' Piper asked as they head out.
"That's what you want to know after 4 years?" Leo asked.
"tell us everything." piper said.
And Leo started to tell them about his new life here.
