The doors finally open at Midtown high school after 6 months of quarantining. Peter wearing a spidey mask that Tony insisted on wearing.

"Hey, Peter!" Someone called out to him. He turned and saw Ned call for him while MJ was right beside him. "Hey, Ned! Hey MJ!" Peter said, greeting Ned while doing their ultimate handshake that they like to call it. Soon after wrapping an arm around MJ's waist, giving a kiss on the cheek through his mask.

Ned's mask is a colorful cloth with the avengers on them, and MJ's mask is a black cloth with the words' Black Lives Matter.'

"Can you believe we are finally back in school!" Ned chirped.

"Yeah… In such a pandemic. This country is going to shit." MJ commented

"Let's focus on the positive! The gang is back together! Fuck you pandemic from not letting me see my friend and girlfriend!" Peter's voice getting louder with the word.

Many heads turn in the hallway looking at Peter with confused looks.

"Shut up, loser! People are staring at you." MJ gave him a light shove with a slight smirk following behind, although no one can see it.

"How was your guy's quarantine going?" Peter said, putting his arm around MJ's waist again.

"It was awesome and boring at times! I build almost all the legos I can get my hands on! You got to check them out, Peter!" Ned burst with excitement from being indoors for six months. "Definitely, Ned" Peter smiled big, only seeing his brown eyes squinting.

"How about you, MJ?" Peter turned to his girlfriend while putting his stuff in his locker

"Eventful… Participated in the Black Lives Matter movement, had more time for reading which I read about 90 books so far give or take, and had many discussions with arrogant people on Twitter about how masks can decrease the odds of COVID cases." MJ said with a monotone voice like it was no big deal.

Peter and Ned were both mindblown; MJ is usually so secretive about her private life, so hearing what she did over her break made Ned respect her, and Peter loved her just a little more.

"How about you Peter? How's May?" MJ said with concern in her voice.

Since the pandemic hit Peter's aunt, May was never home because of the hospital's help treating the COVID unit. She worked tirelessly taking care of her patients, even risking her own health. May decided it was best to have Peter move in with Tony at the tower until everything dies down. It also took a toll on Happy and May's relationship, but they made it through by Happy checking in on her whenever she has time.

Peter sighed. "I'm worried for Aunt May most of the time. I video chat with her when I can, which is good, but other than that, it's been a somewhat normal couple of months with Mr. Stark. I'm building lots of gadgets in the lab, and pretty much all the avengers are sick with each other even though we have our spaces." Peter said, putting his stuff in the lockers.

Ned looked around the halls and lean in. "Do you guys noticed not many students are here? It feels like the day before Christmas vacation."

"That's because either the rich parents pulled them out and got them a private tutor, or the student actually has high-risk family members that need to safe," MJ said, leaning on the locker.

"I'm surprised you're even here, Peter. I thought Mr. Stark would give pay people to teach you until it's all over." Ned said.

Peter closed his locker and walked to class with both Ned and MJ. "Oh, he was. He hired these tutors to help me with school, but I told him I don't want it because I was sick of being in the tower with all of them. I told him I'm going to school, and that's the end of it." Peter cringed at the moment but still happy that he stood up to him.

Ned and MJ looked stunned and shocked. "What did he say!?" Ned raised his voice, blocking Peter. MJ rolled her eyes, "Move, loser, we have to get to class." MJ deadpanned, crossing her arms. Ned waved her off and focused on Peter.

Peter gave a breathless laugh. "There was a mix of emotions, surprised, impressed, and hurt. I don't think he was prepared for me to yell at him. This was also with all of them in the room. I got a lot of nods and approvals from them. That even made Mr. Stark sadder," Peter said, not looking at both of them.

Ned's jaw is on the floor while MJ is just smirking and raises her eyebrow. Peter looked between them. "What? I just love learning. Can we please get to class?" Peter said, rolling his eyes and walked faster and pasting Ned.

The gang arriving in Mr. Harrington's classroom, "Welcome class! As you see, everything is still the same except to reduce this killer virus in the State of New York, we have to enforce the six feet and put plexiglass everywhere. Please, everyone, take your seats." Mr. Harrington said.

The chem stations have been split in half by plexiglass and so have the rest of the desks. The three were split apart, with Ned and Peter reaching out to each other dramatically, "I'll miss you, Peter." Ned said fake hurt. "I'll miss you too, Ned." Peter playing along. MJ rolled her eyes and face forward.

"Alright, everyone settles down, I'm gonna turn this thing on, and we can get started." Mr. Harrington turns on the tv in the back of the class with a camera on top. It reveals a bunch of student's faces that appeared to be at home and different backgrounds. "Thanks to Stark Industries and his donation for allowing Midtown High School to use this software for us and this terrible time. I give you StarkChat!" Mr. Harrington announced, walking back to the front of the classroom. The gang looked at each other confused "Did he just?" MJ mouthed out, referring to the name of another social media app. Peter nodded, lowing his head in disappointment.

The rest of the class went as normal as possible until you can hear a voice coming from the monitor in the back. "Mr. Harrington? Can you repeat that last part?" Everyone turned around to a very uncomfortable close-up of Eugene' Flash' Thompson. His background was a rich white interior of his home. Ned lowers his head and puts a hand over his mouth, "Ew, get Flash off the screen!" Ned said in a different voice. Everyone laughed, including the StarkChat. "Who said that?!" Flash screamed, looking closely at the class, which results show his forehead. "Yo, Flash back up. We don't want to see your big ass mars forehead!" MJ facing the monitor. Flash gasp and was about to make a comeback but was interrupted by Mr. Harrington. "That's enough, everyone. Flash to answer your question…" He repeated himself, and the rest of class went on the same until the end of the school day.

The school day has come to an end, and the gang went their separate ways until the next day. Happy Hogen was there to pick up Peter. "Hey, Happy," Peter said, entering the car with his mask on. "How are you doing Peter? How was school?" Happy responded, looking in the mirror. Happy was wearing a mask that said 'Stark Industries.' logo on it. "I'm doing good, and school was different," Peter said, looking at Happy, who just nodded and paid attention to the road to the Avengers Tower. Peter and Happy relationship have gotten closer since May went to work. He still doesn't want to overwhelm Happy, so his part is kept to a minimum. Peter just enjoyed the city passing by until he was home or second home.

Peter finally was up the elevator going to the avenger floor. Getting to the elevator was a breeze would be the biggest understatement of the century. As soon as he exited the car, many employees ambush him. Taking his bookbag, taking his temperature, doing a COVID test, and finally being pushed into a room where he sprayed with sanitizing gas. He almost had a sensory overload due to that room. Needless to say, he's going to yell at Mr. Stark.

The elevator finally reached the floor. "The Avenger floor, Peter," FRIDAY stated. "Thanks, FRI," Peter said, walking out to the floor to the common living area where all of the Avengers were doing their own thing. Wanda and Natasha were talking in the dining room. Bruce and Vision were conversing, Steve, Bucky, and Sam were watching a documentary. Tony and Pepper were in the kitchen. "YOU!" Peter raised his voice which got everyone's attention. When Peter raised his voice, then you know it's gonna be good. "Well, hello to you to Pete," Tony said. "What happened, Peter?" Pepper said. "This man almost made me go into sensory overload by ambushing me with employees in hazarder mask suits trying to disinfect me as I just came out of the sewer," Peter said, taking his mask off. Pepper gasped and slapped Tony on the arm hard, "You told me you were gonna tell him!" Pepper yelled at Tony. Tony was now feeling guilty for causing unnecessary pain. Tony cleared his throat. "Well… I'm sorry Peter, that must have been scary for you." Tony admitted. Now Peter felt guilty for yelling at Mr. Stark. "No-no, Mr. Stark, I'm sorry I-i should have known-" Peter was cut off by Tony. "Now, Peter, I apologized, and you should not." Tony retaliated. For a few minutes, this went back and forth with Avengers just watching honestly don't know what to do.

"Jesus, we get it! Your both sorry. Just drop it. Honestly, you two are just like father and son. It's insane!" Natasha said, sitting at the table. This made Peter blushed a deep red from embarrassment. "In the last couple of months of him being here, it is true that he did remind me of me when I was younger… The intelligence, I mean not the rest of me," Tony said, smiling at Peter. "Yeah, if Peter had the rest of you. That would be a nightmare." Bucky said, and the rest of them laughed while Tony just glared. Peter laughed at the joke but still was touched that the Tony Stark thought of him when he was younger. Peter took a deep breath and sighed, "Well, I got to do my homework. I'll be in my room if you need me." Peter turned around and walked away. "LOVE YOU, MOM AND DAD!" Peter shouted, making Tony choke on his drink and making Pepper drop her fork in shock.

"I'm done… Finally… They should not give kids homework, especially if they're an avenger." Peter said, raising his arm stretching his whole body. A notification came upon Peter's laptop stating 'Aunt May Calling.' Peter's eyes widen. "Oh, Aunt May!" Peter clicked accept to answer the call.

Aunt May appeared on screen with scrubs and many face masks and face shields with bruises all over her face, especially on the bridge of her nose and around her eyes. "Aunt May! How are you! I miss you!" Peter said, smiling big. Aunt May's eye lit up when she saw her favorite nephew's face. "Hi Petey, I miss and larb you too. I'm still working in the COVID Unit. We see improvement, but it's still too early to tell. Are you wearing your mask, staying 6 feet away, and washing those hands?" May said sternly, pointing at the screen to make a point. Peter laughs and rolls his eyes, "Yes, May I'm doing exactly that."

"I'm serious Peter! People are dying left and right here because of this virus; we still don't know much about this, and I just want to make sure you're safe as my nephew and the neighborhood spiderman." May desperately begged Peter. Peter sighed. "Your right. I'm sorry, Aunt May. I'll be extra careful." Peter lowered his head.

May pinched the bridge of her nose, feeling guilty for being so tough on him. "I'm sorry, Peter. It's really been stressful these last couple of months, and I know you're taking it seriously. I know because of weekly reports from Tony and Pepper. It's so formal, like honestly weird." May and Peter laughed, calming down after a minute, still smiling at each other.

"You're doing amazing, May! You are the real superhero of the avengers and me. Even as Spiderman, I still look to my hero Aunt May." Peter blushing from saying all the compliments. He means what he said but is still embarrassed. All Peter heard was a sniff; he opened his eyes, not noticing he closed his eyes. May Parker was crying. Peter blushed even more. "A-aunt May it's alright n-no need to be upset."

May grabbed a tissue and wiped her tears, "I'm not crying because I'm upset… It's because of what a sweet boy you are." May was cut off. "PARKER, I NEED HELP IN UNIT 2!" A nurse shouted off-screen. May quickly gather herself. "I need to go, Peter. I larb you, and I'll talk to you soon," May said before she hung up.

Peter leaned back in his seat and just stared into his space, thinking. This is crazy. We are living through history… Hopefully, people are wearing masks, staying six feet apart, and washing their hands. Like it's not that hard.

"Peter, it's time for dinner," FRIDAY announced in his room. Peter shook his head, "Thanks, Fri." Peter said, getting up and walking out of his bedroom to eat dinner with his dysfunctional family.
