Not me, feeling empty and bored the day before my new assignment. Just five days on the Citadel has easily managed to deplete my energy, my drive. Leaving me confined to this apartment seemed a weird way to prep for service, not being able to make use of Chora's Den down the alley is honestly just criminal. Earth is where I belong, although military life comes with its perks (the paycheck, not this apartment) I miss the normal life back home, instead of this polished, fake, political crap.

"Shepard!" Captain Anderson's voice rips me out of my second bored, nostalgic trip of the day. Quickly, I meet his gaze, straighten up and salute. "Shepard it's time, grab your gear and head to the shuttle. I'll meet you on the Normandy."

"Yes Sir!" I reply, watching him turn away. I didn't realize how seemingly urgent this routine mission was.
