Prologue

Death. Maybe our definition of death is wrong. Maybe death isn't something tragic. Maybe life is just a small game made by Mr. Grim fucking Reaper. Maybe living is the Hell and dying is the Heaven. Not a heaven with rainbows, unicorns and red hearts; just a Heaven with peace with no concerns, no screams, no cries, no blood. Just… Peace.

Or at least that's my definition of life and death. If my life was wanted, then go ahead Mr. Reaper, go ahead and end it if you can. End it with that bloody scythe of yours, with that spineless smirk of yours.

Drowning. Have you ever drowned in death? Does that even make any sense? Properly not, I personally am unable to comprehend. I'm bad with words; I have always gotten F's in literature and writing.

There are eight planets and five dwarf planets in our solar system; five thousand solar systems in the Milky Way; one hundred billion galaxies in the universe. If each galaxy from the hundred billion had each five thousand solar systems and each solar system had at least ten planets, then there would have been five billion planets, at slightest (if my calculation were right). And of all these five billion planets, I had to be living on Earth. Adam had to be thrown here. The lord up there couldn't have thrown me in any other planet other than the Earth.

Earth: a brutal planet. Well, not really, just the residents on it. Or perhaps the roles they made up by heart: predators and preys.

If you're not the predator, then you're simply-… Well guess,

Drum rolls

A prey, you most likely got it right.

Run, cry, scream; none would matter. No superhero will jump the clouds and rescue you. You're on your own. Because that's your fates or so they believe. They stick a lot with their roles that you start believing In it. Believing you were made just for that. For them to be your predators. Giving up might be considered wise to some people, but that's one bit true. Giving up means you agree you were destined for this.

Earth was divided into two parts. Yes, there are seven continents, one hundred ninety-five countries, ten thousand cities and the creatures on it even had the guts to divide it into smaller villages and towns. Their greediness and selfishness to rule and control blinded the fact that maybe, just maybe their planet Earth was meant for freedom. Anyway, no, these two parts aren't cities, countries or whatsoever.

These were light and darkness.

That's how predators and preys lived. Either in darkness that might as well include everyone, as a matter fact everyone had a time when they reached it, I believe.

Light, however, is the other nonexistent part. Just a fairytale that people think they are living on and a fairytale that put me on bed once.

Creatures believe lightness is what comes from money or love, but no. These two are always the ones that lead to that darkest pit of Tartarus.

These creatures made up those rules and roles to keep themselves in the so called happiness.

How is it happiness to chase after others of the same race?

How is it happiness to kill others for their personal favors?

How is it happiness to separate the rich from the poor?

To decide who's the prey from their way of living?

To treat people of the same race differently?

Some things I will never understand.

Every rich person has gotten his hands dirty to reach the way he is or at least his great-great-grandparent might've done. And every commoner or poor you name it had to struggle with the consequences of their dirty work and grieve for revenge.

These creatures are distrustful. Whatever they do, whatever they say, however nice they were, however generous they were: There'd always be a motive after it. They poison you for just another dollar in your pocket. But what do they do when there's blood in their hands? Do they leave? And pretend nothing happened? That they did nothing? And even forget about their filthy shameless accomplishment as years pass by? Yup, ladies and gentlemen, that's exactly what happens.

I'm truly disappointed to admit that I'm part of these species, of these pathetic creatures. To live and play among the same kind is easy — not really. You just have one rule: live. It's your choice how you want to stay, how you want to fight. It's your game.

Trying to escape is just giving up AKA game over and you find the grim reaper knocking on your doorsteps with his stupid smirk.

I'm not suicidal, even though I feel like dying sometimes. No, fuck it. I'm here to stay, I'm here to win this game, I'm here to wipe his stupid smirk, I'm here to stay with my own rules. If these creatures are able to add rules on their own, then so can I.

Frankly, I don't believe happiness comes from friendship, family, love, money, etc, etc. Well, you might've guessed that earlier, just like to give you an affirmative.

They say 'keep your friends close and your enemies closer'. The problem is, you can't tell them apart. But I'm certain that's not a problem, because after all, enemies are safer to have than friends and friends? Just a foreign concept, never heard about it. Why would I risk getting betrayed? Would I redo mistakes that shouldn't have been made decades ago? Why would build some bond I with a creature that will turn their back on me, eventually? I ain't losing this game for them, creatures who have nothing to do with you. I'm not in this game to live in a luxury of money and friends. I'm here to win.

My story is quite a long one, so hang on with me if you're interested. It might not end up as you want or thought. But perhaps I will end with the so-called real happiness.

There are some names that suggest the person may go on to greatness, others that do the opposite via their secondary connections or definitions. My name is quite an ordinary one, however.

My name is Misaki Ayuzawa: flower grace — cheesy much. I'm nineteen years old. There's not much to say, really. Well no, that was obviously a lie; but I will leave you to figure the rest on your own.

Hola, guys! Here is a small draft at night instead of studying for tomorrow's exam which I'm failing. Hehe, anyways please tell me what do you think! I know I'm terrible when it comes to writing and this is really my first time so any writing advises would be so much appreciated!

Honestly, I didn't really watch this anime but I like reading most of its Fan-fictions.

And, by the way, English is not my mother-tongue so using enhanced words is a really disadvantage to me. I mean I try my best, I learn and keep on memorizing new words but for some reason when I want to start using them nothing comes up. Si, my brain sucks. But i promise to try by absolute best-est best to make this story interesting for y'guys!

Anywhooo, please tell what do you think! I already have the story planned out but any suggestions are open, I might like yours better. See ya guys later! Goodnight before I get smacked for staying up late.
