Mt. Justice
Wally West aka Kid Flash, Richard "Dick" Grayson aka Robin, Kaldur'ahm "Kaldur" aka Aqualad and Project Kr aka Superboy were standing in their civilian clothes in the Justice Leagues former hideout along with their mentors.
"This cave was the original secret sanctuary of the Justice League. We're calling it into service again. Since you four are determined to stay together and fight the good fight, you'll do it on league terms. Red Tornado volunteered to live here and be your supervisor. Black Canary will be in charge of training. I will deploy you on missions." Batman's tone was calm and collected.
"Real missions?" Robin questioned.
"Yes, but covert" Batman assured him.
"The league will still handle the obvious stuff. There's a reason we have these big targets on out chests" Flash indicated to the logo on his chest.
"But Cadmus proves the bad guys are getting smarter. Batman need a team that can operate on the sly." Aquaman told the teens seriously, turning to Batman.
"The six of you will be that team" Batman explained.
"Cool! Wait, six?" Robin questioned
Batman indicated with his head behimd the teens and began to explain as they turned "This is the Martian Manhunter's niece, Miss Martian"
"Hi" the young greenskinned female gave a wave. "I'm honored to be included"
The teen's except Superboy made their way to Miss Martian, with Robin calling to Superboy to join them, as Superboy aproached, the white and red t-shirt Miss Martian was wearing turned black and red from bottom going up.
The girl seemed a bit shy and just told him she liked his t-shirt as a way of explaining. Superboy gave a small rise of his lips as a smile.
"Wait, whose going to be our sixth member. Is it Speedy?" Robin turned back to Batman. Just then the teleporter activated. Out of it walked an old man with a teenager following him with a white owl of all things on his shoulder. As soon as it could the bird took flight. The old man was wearing a suit, walking with a stick a wrinkled face and greyed hair. The teenager had deep green eyes, dark messy hair and was wearing a beige trench coat with silvery lining for some reason. He wore a black waistcoat, white shirt, jeans and sneakers. He was also carrying a duffle bag and was wearing a belt with loads of leather pockets attached. The belt reminded Robin of what a medieval Batman might wear. On his neck was a necklace with a dark stone attached to it.
"We're here!" the old man declared and tapped the ground with his cane. The teen chuckled.
"Yea gramps, we're here. I think we made quite an entrance" the teen chuckled, putting his dufflebag down and taking off his coat. He had his shirts sleeves pulled up allowing Robin to spot a tattoo on the teens arms between his wrist and elbow. On his right arm was a depiction of a stick or a thin dagger of somekind. On the teens left arm was an ankh and above it a triangle, with a circle inside it and line running through both.
After cleanly putting his coat on top of his bag the teens walked to Batman and offered his hand for a handshake "Good to see you again Mr. Batman, it's been a while" they could all hear the british accent from the teen clearly now.
Batman grasped the teens hand with a grunt of acknowlegment. "You finished it?" the dark knight questioned. He got a simple nod and a light grin in return.
Batman indicated to the new teen in the room "Team, this is your sixth member. He'll be useful to you with the… abnormal things you'll most likely encounter. I don't know if he's picked a codename yet, he can make his own introductions."
The new teen turned to the team and raised his hand in a wave of greeting "Hi. Um, well we thought about it and my codename is Arcane. You can call me Harry when outside of missions. The bird you saw was Hedwig, she'll be staying with me here. I'm looking forward to working with you all."
The Team took a moment to digest and then Caldur came forward to shake hands. Introductions were made all around, to Harry and the owl who came back and landed back on his shoulder. When the people were starting to finaly leave, the old man came over to the teen who hugged him and assured he'd be fine. He was left in the cave with Red tornado, Miss Martian and Superboy.
This was a chnage from the norm of the Tower. It was going to be interesting.
