It was a beautiful morning in the Great Barrier Reef. There was school going on for the day.
Nemo and Marlin were with Mr. Ray, Nemo's teacher, who was collecting his students on his back.
"Hop on in, explorers!" he said.
Nemo and Marlin had left Dory in charge of his baby sister Andrea, since she'll be taking care of her.
"Dad, do you know when Trixie will be here for school?" Nemo asked.
"I don't know, Nemo. But I hope she'll be here by half an hour. Remember, she's in the different neighborhood where the Tank Gang lives, whom she was a family member of," Marlin answered.
"Hello, Nemo!" a voice of Tad said.
Nemo turned, and excitedly saw Tad, along with Sheldon and Pearl.
"Hi, guys!" he responded.
"What are you waiting for?" Sheldon asked.
"Oh, I am waiting for my cousin Trixie. It's her first day of school," Nemo replied.
"Oh, that's sweet!" Pearl added.
As Marlin spotted his friends Bill, Tad's father, Bob, Sheldon's father and Ted, Pearl's father, they exchanged handshakes with fins while greeting each other.
"Nemo!" a voice squealed.
Nemo turned. It was Trixie!
"Trixie!" Nemo cheered, and he and his cousin hugged each other.
Marlin turned, and noticed Bubbles and Deb here.
"Oh, hello, folks!" he said.
"Hello, Marlin! It was Trixie's first day of school. She has learned a lot," Deb added with a smile.
"We were wondering what she has assigned on after," Bubbles chimed in.
"Well, where are the other Tank Gang members?" Nemo asked.
"Oh, Nemo, they stayed home; Gill was just taking care of his daughter Mal with Peach, while the other Tank Gang members are helping out," Bubbles responded.
"Mal's becoming more difficult to make happy, though," Deb said.
"Hi, Trixie!" Sheldon, Tad and Pearl said in unison to Nemo's cousin.
"Hello, everyone!" Trixie said.
"Well, hello, who is this?" Mr. Ray asked as he turned to Nemo, his friends and cousin.
"Oh, Mr. Ray, this is Trixie," Nemo said.
As Trixie blushed with nervousness, she was about to feel embarrassed.
"Oh, I see. It's very nice to meet you, Trixie! Your first time going to school?" Mr. Ray said.
"It is my first time," Trixie responded.
"Trixie, this is Mr. Ray, our teacher," Nemo said with comfort.
Nodding, Trixie felt nervousness inside, as if she was gonna get teased on by other kids during school-time. Bubbles and Deb reacted, and reassured her.
"Hey, no worries, little lady, me and all of my other friends remember being nervous and worrisome for the first time," Bubbles said.
"Okay," Trixie said with a nervous smile.
"Well, then, hop on in, young lady! There is a field trip going on," Mr. Ray said with a smile.
Trixie shyly giggled as she swam on Mr. Ray's back, while Nemo, Sheldon, Tad and Pearl followed along.
Then, Mr. Ray announced,
"Come along, explorers!"
Then, he swam high and sang. Marlin, Bill, Bob, Ted, Bubbles and Deb waved to their children.
"Bye, dad! See you and others after school!" Nemo called.
"Bye, son!" Marlin called.
"Be good in school, sweetie!" Deb called as well.
"See you later!" Bubbles added out.
"Bye, mom! Bye, dad!" Trixie called out.
As Mr. Ray left with his students along, Marlin turned to his friends.
"Okay, wanna hear a joke?" he asked.
"Oh, sure! Tell us a joke!" Bill said excitedly.
Bob and Ted agreed with cheerfulness, Bubbles and Deb chuckled as well.
"Come on, do something funny!" Ted pleaded.
"Yeah!" Bob added.
As Marlin nodded, he began telling a mollusk joke and other jokes. In reaction, Bill, Bob and Ted laughed. Bubbles and Deb choked up while laughing, but kept it together. But then, there was loud crying everywhere.
"Hey, Marley, what's that?" Bob asked.
As Marlin blushed, Deb reassured him as she told Bubbles to get Dory and the others. Nodding his head, he did so.
"Come on, boy, we know what the others are up to," Bill said.
"Yeah! Just tell us, we won't share," Ted agreed.
"O~ Okay... it was..." Marlin stammered for a moment, but got his sentence cut off when Bubbles arrived with Dory and the Tank Gang.
"Okay, since Andrea isn't crying but Mal, I am just gonna take her to my parents to watch over," Dory said, and called out,
"Mom! Dad!"
Dory's parents Jenny and Charlie approached on scene, so did Destiny, Bailey and Hank.
"Is there anything we can do for you, kelpcake?" Charlie asked.
"Mom, dad, my niece Mal has been crying for everything, so, um, I was wondering if you could watch over Andrea for us," Dory responded.
"Aw, sure thing, darling! We can do that for you," Jenny said sweetly while taking Andrea from Dory's fins.
"Of course! We would do anything for Andrea," Destiny added.
"Oh, we can play with her, draw, color, and more if we can!" Bailey agreed.
"Okay, you do that," Dory said with a chuckle.
"We'll let you know when it's over. See you later!" Charlie chimed in.
Then, he, Jenny, Destiny and Bailey went out with Andrea.
"Bye!" Dory said back as she waved.
Hank sighed, and faced Dory.
"Alright, is there anything I can do for you and the others?" he asked.
"Okay, Hank, our niece is becoming difficult. The Tank Gang had made several tries," Dory said.
Hank stared at Gill and Peach, who were a bit tired while trying to make their daughter happy.
"Well, I'll give this couple parenting tips,"
Hank said as he pointed at Gill and Peach,
"But it's almost time for dinner, so, I'm, I'm gonna get things set up for tonight."
As Hank swam away, Dory sighed. Marlin facepalmed himself as he said,
"Oh, that's just great. How can Mal be happy?"
"I don't know! Mal's being kind of fussy at all," Peach answered with a frown as she cradled Malachi in her starfish arms.
"Huh, really? And just look what happened with Gill!" Gurgle added as he pointed at Gill, who was sleeping while standing, snoring quietly at a normal tone.
Bloat faced Gill, and elbowed him gently. Gill shot up tiredly as he murmured,
"Oh, so very tired."
With his eyes full of droopiness, Gill covered his mouth as he yawned,
"It practically took me all day and night to get the rest of our family back to sleep."
Then, after these words, Gill fell back asleep. The others facepalmed themselves.
Meanwhile...
After the field trip, Mr. Ray was swimming his class back home as he sang along, announcing,
"Come on, explorers, sing with me!"
"So, Trixie, did you learn anything during the field trip?" Nemo asked.
"I mean, yeah, I guess," Trixie said as she blushed.
"Did you notice a boat?" Tad asked.
But he suddenly stopped as Nemo, Sheldon, Pearl and the other class glared at Tad for saying that.
"What boat?" Trixie asked with curiosity.
"Oh that— Sammy Plankton told me. He said that it was called a 'butt'!" Tad added.
As Pearl inked at that word, she urged,
"Tad!"
As Trixie whimpered, as if she was scared, Trixie said,
"But, I don't wanna be taken by those humans!"
"Hey, don't worry. My dad says it's not safe. He told this to your parents when you prepare for school," Nemo said as he reassured her.
"Really?" Trixie asked.
"Yeah! I think it was dangerous for you, since you're little, but were glad you stayed with the class," Sheldon agreed.
"Hah, scaredy cat!" a student from the back says.
"Hey, look at you, what are you? Some kind of a humbug?" an another meanly says while jabbing Trixie a little bit.
Nemo and his friends reacted and reassured Trixie, who was almost scared and about to cry, in comfort so that she won't get bullied a lot.
"Hey, leave Trixie alone!" Pearl said sternly.
"Yeah, that's not nice!" Sheldon added.
"You've got some nerve for sneaking upon to us," Tad chimed in.
"It's against the school rules," Nemo agreed.
"Oh, whatever..." the mean student said and turned away as the other nodded in agreement, turning away as well.
Later, Mr. Ray landed down, releasing the students from his back. As Nemo and Trixie bid Sheldon, Tad and Pearl goodbye, the two saw and ran to their parents.
"Dad!" Nemo called.
"Mom! Dad!" Trixie called as well.
"Heya, little lady!" Bubbles said sweetly as he and Deb hugged Trixie.
"Hi, Trixie, how's your first day of school?" Deb said sweetly while kissing her daughter on the face very lovingly with passion.
"Um, well..." Trixie stammered curiously as she blushed.
"It went well. Me, Sheldon, Tad and Pearl kept our eyes on her," Nemo finished the sentence.
"Wow, Nemo, you're overprotective! I'm very proud, young man," Marlin said kindly at that comment.
"Um, where's Dory?" Nemo asked with a bit of curiosity.
"Oh, she's helping out the Tank Gang with your little cousin Mal," Deb answered.
"Hank's also in here," Marlin added.
"Oh, thanks, mom and uncle Marlin," Trixie understood, and turned around,
"Dad, can you take us there?"
"Of course, young lady," Bubbles responded as he took Trixie's fin.
Deb, Marlin and Nemo were following along. Marlin waved his friends Bill, Bob and Ted goodbye, while the three returned it.
As Dory and Hank finally helped out the Tank Gang, Malachi got tired and she slept in her father's fins. With relief, Gill smiled as he nuzzled his daughter with a kiss on her forehead with passion. Peach smiled as well. Gurgle, Bloat and Jacques both let out sighs of relief.
Just as Bubbles, Deb, Trixie, Nemo and Marlin approached to the scene, they saw Malachi asleep in Gill's fins.
"Uncle Gill!" Trixie cheered.
"Oh, hey there, my dearest little niece! How's your day at school today?" Gill asked as he gave his daughter to Peach and swam over, hugging Trixie.
"It went well, uncle Gill!" Trixie said cheerfully,
"Guess what, guys, I went on a field trip!"
"Wow, you did? That was cool!" Dory said sweetly.
"What kind of field trip did you go, honey?" Peach asked.
"A fish museum, and we explored new stuff, Trixie couldn't tell," Nemo said with confidence.
"Cool! What is it?" Gurgle asked with interest.
"We don't know what these reports are, but anyway," Nemo continued,
"Me, Sheldon, Tad and Pearl noticed Trixie was scared about the boat Tad told us about, but we all also noticed Trixie almost getting bullied, but the four of us helped her out."
"Wow, Nemo, you're an overprotective cousin like your dad," Bloat said with delight.
"Oui, magnifique!" Jacques added as well.
The Tank Gang turned to Dory and Hank, thanking them for Gill and Peach's parenting tips. Dory and Hank nodded.
"No problem! I'd be glad to help you guys out!" Dory said with a smile.
"Yeah, not when a day gets weird with difficulties of helping," Hank added.
"We're back!" Dory's parents and whale friends called from outside.
"Coming!" Dory said, and motioned Hank to follow her, leaving Marlin, Nemo and the Tank Gang inside.
"Hi, mom and dad! Hi, Destiny and Bailey!" Dory cheered.
"Hello, sweetie! Andrea's out like a lightbulb," Jenny said.
"We have been making her lullabies," Charlie chimed in agreement.
"We also played games with her!" Destiny said cheerfully.
"And do some coloring," Bailey added.
"Aw, that's sweet!" Dory said in awe, while Hank reacted in awe.
As Dory's parents gave Andrea back, Dory cradled her in her fins. Marlin, Nemo and the Tank Gang went to her in unison.
In the night...
It was getting late, all the fish bid each other goodnight.
Marlin and Dory bid each other goodnight; as Dory swam to her home and fell asleep, Marlin tucked Nemo and his little sister Andrea, who was asleep without making any sound, were in the sea anemone, and fell asleep.
In the other den, the Tank Gang got themselves situated for bed; the fish bid each other goodnight by exchanging hugs and kisses; Gurgle, Bloat and Jacques went to sleep. Then, Deb and Bubbles tucked and kissed their daughter Trixie goodnight to sleep with them, and the two fell asleep; finally, Peach was laying next to Gill, with baby Malachi in her arms. The two kissed their daughter goodnight, while baby Malachi yawned and fell asleep. As Peach smoothly slept, Gill smiled, and nuzzled her and their baby gently. Then, he fell asleep, nice and soundly.
All the fish were sound asleep, as a family in a different kind of neighborhood.
