Chapter 1
Prologue
It was a nice peaceful day in Teyvat. A young girl with light-purple hair with soft blue tips was having tea with her Mother. She slowly raised her teacup to her lips. She yelped a little for she burned her lips.
"Oh! Careful!" her Mother said with a chuckle.
The young girl put down her teacup and looked up at her Mother.
"Mother, when is Father coming back?" she asks.
The young girl's Mother placed her hand on her daughter's cheek and smiled.
"Soon, my dear. Then we can fly high in the sky."
A slight breeze blew, scattering a few dandelions up into the air.
Later on that same day...
It was dark. She didn't know what was going on. All she knew was that she was running away from something with her Mother. They kept running. She noticed that her Mother kept looking back over her shoulder.
Then her Mother yelped in pain as something sharp brushed past her. She fell along with her daughter. The young girl got up and saw her Mother on her knees. She has her hand placed over on her left arm, gripping it tightly.
"Mother!" she yelled.
The young girl went to her Mother. Her Mother looked up with tears in her eyes but she was smiling. She placed her hand on her cheek for the last time.
"Go my dear. Run and don't look back." her Mother told her.
"No. I don't want to leave you." the young girl said.
"I know. But you must go. You must run." the Mother said.
"Mother." the young girl began but her Mother pulled her in a tight hug.
"I love you Starlight. Now go. Run." her Mother said, pushing her gently.
Starlight started running but then stopped to look back at her Mother for the last time. But when she did, she saw a bright golden glow, illuminating her Mother.
Her Mother never faltered. She kept smiling at her daughter. Tears in her eyes, Starlight turned around and ran. Ran away from everything she ever loved. Though she may forget everything, there is one thing she will never forget, her Mother being brave for her.
