Small short Rex X Morag one shot. Not canon to my other stories and enjoy!! This takes place a 2 years after the events of Xenoblade Chronicles 2. And don't worry Rex is around 18 and Morag around 20. Don't worry.

"Ugh. The heat here is hard to get used to." Rex said as he and his wife Morag were out in the lands of Mor Ardain searching the area for monsters. It had been shown and stated by many Ardanian's and travelers that monsters had been roaming the area.

Rex and Morag had been married for over a year now. Where Rex had now lived with Morag in Mor Ardain. Morag's younger cousin/brother Niall who was also the emperor. Welcomed Rex to their family. Even if he at first didn't know if Rex was worthy enough for Special Inquisitor Morag.

Rex and Morag had always loved each other so much. They fought monsters together. Went out together. And spent time together. That was more so the case when Morag revealed to Rex one day that she was pregnant.

The two then had Sara. Their daughter who was now 8 months old and Rex and Morag loved her with both their hearts. Mythra and Brighid took a liking to Sara as well.

Where Brighid and Mythra were at. Back in the main palace of Mor Ardain, babysitting Sara. Both of them had a very hard time babysitting the child though. Especially when it came to changing her diapers. Yikes.

"Hmm, Strange." Morag said as the two began their way back to Alba Cavanich. "I figured you'd gotten used to the air by now." She chuckled.

"Hey!" Rex said. "It's still only growing on me!"

"Growing on you for over a year?" Morag asked laughing to herself. Rare for the inquisitor. "Now I'm starting to think you are I'll."

"Oh come on!" Rex exclaimed. "Still hard to get used to! I ain't Ill!" Rex exclaimed causing Morag to laugh a little bit.

"I know Rex. I'm not foolish." Morag said.

Rex blushed as he rubbed the back of his head. Morag did the same.

"Course I knew that." Rex stated.

"Yeah, sure." Morag said.

Rex and Morag had arrived in the palace. As they entered their bedroom after greeting emperor Niall and gave him intel of the monsters throughout the lands of Mor Ardain.

The two entered their bedroom to see Brighid and Mythra both laying against the wall or on the floor. Both looked exhausted. As Sara was in her crib. Waving her balled fists around in the air. With a huge smile on her face. As the room also smelled fresh.

"Seems these two had a long day." Morag stated.

"Heh. Long day." Rex said. As he looked at his and Morag's blades. "What's wrong you two?"

"Sara...diaper...smelled bad..." Mythra breathed out. Seeing the dark circles under her eyes.

"Too...tired...can't...stay awake." Brighid breathed out as well. Causing both Morag and Rex to chuckle.

Rex and Morag then helped Brighid and Mythra to their rooms as they carried their respective blades to their bedroom in the palace.

After that was done Rex and Morag walked back to there room to put Sara to bed. As they looked down at the cradle and down at their smiling child. In a black onsie as she smiled curiously at her parents. And her black hair apparent in the light

Morag and Rex smiled and blushed at their child. As Morag reached down and picked her up. As she kissed Sara on the head. Causing her to giggle.

"It seems you've had an exciting day." Morag said to Sara. Who giggled in response.

"Alright, I'd better get read for bed." Rex said as he then kissed Sara on the head. "Night sweet Sara."

Rex walked to remove his salvaging clothes. As Morag did the same and removed her uniform. Now dressed in regular black pants and a black undershirt top. She then held up Sara again.

"Goodnight Sara." Morag kissed Sara on the head. "Mama loves you."

Sara gurgled in response. "M-m-ma-ma-m-mama!"

Morag's eyes went wide as she looked down at her daughter.

"Mama!" Sara said again. As Morag quickly smiled.

"Y-you said your first word." Morag said as she hugged her daughter. "Oi Sara Mama is so proud of you!"

"Mama!" Sara exclaimed throwing her hands up in the air.

"Rex! Get in here!" Morag called out as Rex rushed into the room. In his blue salvager shorts and a white shirt.

"What is it?" Rex asked in curiosity.

"Sara said her first word!" Morag exclaimed. "Show daddy sweetie."

"Mama!" Sara said. As Rex's eyes lit up with happiness. As he hugged his daughter.

"Heh my girls really smart!" Rex exclaimed in excitement. Both Morag and Rex happy and proud of their daughter saying her first word.

"Before ya know it she'll be walking in 4 months!" Rex exclaimed.

"Oh please Rex. 2 months." Morag said as the both joked around and shared a laugh. As Sara giggled as well.
