AN: Hey all! I'm limiting my time on here, but I figured I'd post this since I promised you I'd give it to you once my other Supernatural story was up. Updates will be every Monday like before and chapters are generally pretty short. Let me know what you think and enjoy!

PROLOGUE

August 2001: 3rd Person POV

Lyla Griffin wasn't greeted by the cries of her daughter when she finally managed to get the tiny child out of her body. The doctors did everything they could to help the baby, but soon started prepping Lyla to have to care for a vegetable. Her daughter was just too sick. So Lyla did the only thing she could think to do. She prayed for a miracle.

The angel showed up a week later. Her daughter was hooked up to machines to keep her breathing. She hadn't even gotten to hold the tiny thing. The angel assured her that he could help, but he needed her permission to administer the treatment as it wasn't the traditional way angels would normally heal someone and while it would mean her daughter was healthy, there were going to be side effects.

Lyla agreed without a second of hesitation. Every two hours following that first interaction, he popped back in to administer the treatment. Two weeks later, in the middle of what would have been the end of the treatment, others showed up- demons. The angel got rid of them, but was unable to finish in time. He apologized profusely, but Lyla assured him it was ok. Her daughter was healthy, no longer needing help to breath and the new mother had finally gotten to hold her for the first time since the birth.

Mother and three and a half week old daughter were released from the hospital at the end of September.
