Booker's pov
We're walking up the stairs to our moms' apartment, trying to surprise them since they think were coming tomorrow. It's May 30th so were out of school for the summer. We stayed at Tess' parents house all last week. We were trying to walk as quiet as possible just in case they were home.
"Who has the keys?" Levi called from in front of us.
"Uh, I think their in my carry-on, lemme check." Tess replied. I passed her the bag and she scavaged through it while we waited by the door.
"Got 'em, catch" Levi caught them, opened the door, and peeped his head through.
"Is anyone there?" Nia asked.
"No, I think their out." We walked in the house and looked around.
"Its looks exactly the same, I mean mom and aunt Chelsea still share a bedroom."
"I think their trying to make it feel like were still here."
"Yeah, but it's good to be home." I said.
"Definitely."
"Alright, so who's sleeping where?" Levi asked.
"What do you mean?" Nia asked back.
"Well I mean since their together, are they going to share?" Levi explained, gesturing to us while Tess laughed.
"Look, bro, we might share a dorm in college, but if we even consider sharing a room here, the next room I'll be in is a casket." I replied.
"Yeah, and kinda want my boyfriend alive." We all chuckled.
"Alright, so like old times?"
"Yeah, like old times." Nia said dramatically. Tess rolled her eyes.
"Oh please, spare me the sentimentalism, just get your asses in the rooms,would ya!" Nia ran to her room laughing all the way, then Levi muttered quickly "scary" and bolted to our room. I put my hand up in salute and smirked.
"Yes ma'am!"
"You're such a dork."
"You know you love me."
"Only when your not a weirdo." She teased.
"Is that so?"
"It tis so."
"Mmm, I don't think it is." I said walking up to her slowly.
"And why is that?" She asked playing along.
"Remember the other day when I was being really weird to annoy you and you said 'this is why I love you'?" I replied as I slipped my arms around her waist.
"Oh shoot, I guess I've been caught." She said playfully as she put her arms around my neck, I pulled her up by her thighs and she wrapped her legs around my waist.
"And for the record it was 2 weeks ago."
"Dam, you keeping' track T?"
"Only for you bae." She said slyly as she flicked her hair.
"Oh Chelsea, I can't wait to see the kids!" We heard my mom say from the living room.
"Is that them?" Nia and Levi popped their heads out of the room.
"Yeah, hide." Tess whisper yelled as she slid down from me.
"The closet,Go!" We all put the rest of the luggage in the rooms, and crammed in the closet. Then we waited until we could hear them close the door to their room.
Tess pov
"I'm so ready to see them again!" We heard the twins' dad say as we walked up to the door. We slowly opened the door, popped our heads in and said together:"Ready to see whom?" They all turned, their faces were a mix of shock and happiness. Ms.B was the first to speak.
"My Babies!" We were engulfed into one giant group hug from all of them, us kids sandwiched in the middle.
"Oh kids, we missed you so much!" Ms.C exclaimed.
"We missed you guys too mom." We shared our individual hugs.
"How are your grades?"
"Seriously? We come home and that the first thing you ask us." I answered with a smile.
"Answer the question." Miss.B said firmly.
"All A's mom."
"Show off." Booker and Nia stuck their tounges out at each other.
"All A's too." Levi said.
"A's and b's." Me and Booker said in unison.
"Well that's great, our kids are aceing school and becoming great adults." LevI's dad said.
"I think that deserves another hug."
"Definitely"
Everyone's thoughts
"I missed this."
Nia's pov
I missed being home so much. I missed mom and dad. The easy life of high school but nobody said this would be easy and I'm definitely up for the challenge.
Levi's pov
I missed this. Family, the good food(don't knock me, I'm still a growing boy).
"Ahh, take in that old house shine, that old house feel, that old house smell." I sniffed the vanilla scented air and sighed.
"Don't be weird Levi." Nia reprimanded with a smile.(Au: if you got that raven's home reference your a true one.)
"Sorry, I just really missed this place."
"We all did." Booker said.
"Yeah, we went through a lot here, together." Nia said fondly.
"Ya know I'll always remember how kind you guys were to me. Whenever things were tough at home, I knew I could come here and feel better, and the fact that I wasn't even Miss.C or Miss.B 's kid but they had pictures of me on the refrigerator. And how you guys always came to every one my games."
"Of course Tess."
"We'll always be here for you." Booker said reassuringly.
"And what about you Tess? You always helped us through everything, you were like a light guiding us through anything." Nia said with assurance.
"Hey now, don't sell yourself short were all great, but you and Levi" Book gestured toward us," are wizzes at school, you two always had great logic."
"Aww"
"Yeah and you Booker, even though you seemed to get us into every predicament, you always brought us out of them."
Our parents started to walk up to us.
"You guys are the best bunch of friends I've ever seen."
"Don't let anything come between you guys."
We looked at each other and smiled.
"We won't, we promise." We laughed a little.
