12:30 PM

"Kyo! The harvest festival is tonight!" Tohru exclaimed excitedly, rolling over on their hotel bed.

The pair were off on their honeymoon a little late - they barely had enough money to get married in the first place right out of high school - but that was okay. After two years of being married, they FINALLY had enough money to take a short trip outside of their hometown of Tokyo to Kyoto.

Kyo chuckled lightly at his wife's enthusiasm. "I know. You've been talking about it since we planned this trip." He ruffled her hair affectionately, causing her to giggle.

He'd do anything to keep that beautiful smile on her face.

Tohru squealed in excitement. "We have to make sure to take a ton of photos and have a lot of fun!" She emphasized.

"Mhm." Kyo let Tohru babble on, kissing the top of her head.

"Okay, so we have our first activity of the day! The bike shop down the street!" Tohru exclaimed. She had been bugging Kyo about visiting that shop since they googled "things to do near me" the first day they had been there. They could bike to different fun places, she had decided.

"Alright, let's get going, then." Kyo kissed Tohru's temple before rolling to the side of the bed and getting up, helping her up. The two headed out of their room and down the stairs, into the street.

It was a beautifully sunny day, and there were very few clouds. Tohru remembered she wanted to tie her hair up to bike, so she did that while they were walking.

Soon enough, the pair arrived at the bike shop and walked inside. It was only five minutes from their hotel.

The man at the front counter who looked to be in his forties greeted them.

"Hello! How can I help you two today?" He asked with a grin, leaning against the counter.

"We'd like to rent a tandem bicycle!" Tohru exclaimed before Kyo could speak.

The store clerk chuckled. "Alright, I have a couple in the back. I'll go get you one."

He returned a few minutes later with a red tandem bicycle, and they paid for the bike and left a mandatory security deposit.

The pair thanked the clerk as they left the shop, Kyo pulling the bike along.

"Wow! I still can't believe they make such cool bikes like this!" Tohru walked around the bicycle now that the pair were alone again and outside. Both of them had helmets in their hands.

"Yeah, I wonder what whoever invented this was thinking when they decided to make these kinds of bikes. They're kinda nuts." Kyo commented, looking over the bike with intrigue. Truthfully, he'd never seen them in person.

"They probably wanted to ride with their best friends! Or a significant other!" Tohru replied cheerfully, waving her arms a little. "And riding the same bicycle could be extra fun instead of riding separately!"

Kyo smiled fondly at Tohru and rested a hand on her head. "I guess. We better head out so we don't keep standing in front of the store."

"Right!" Tohru hopped a little and got on the second seat of the bike.

"You want me to lead?" Kyo asked, but it was more of an observation than a question.

"Yup!" Tohru confirmed. "I'm ready to get some exercise!" She pumped a fist.

"Hey, but take it easy, y'know." Kyo nudged Tohru gently.

"I will!" Tohru exclaimed in response as she put the rented helmet on her head, securing the strap under her chin. "I'll be okay, I promise!"

Kyo's gaze lingered on her for a bit before he put on his own helmet. The helmets looked extremely dumb to him, but he figured if Tohru was wearing a helmet, he'd suck it up and wear one too. Besides, it would look strange if only one of them was wearing a helmet on the same bike.

He got on the front seat of the bike and turned his head to glance at Tohru. She was wearing a bright smile on her face. "You ready to go?" He asked her, to which she replied with a nod and a hearty, "Yeah!"

Kyo turned to face forward and slowly begin to pedal, and Tohru matched his pace fairly easily. It was helpful to have him leading and on the same bike; knowing her, she'd end up crashing her bike if she was on her own.

"Kyo, let's pedal faster!"

"You sure? I don't want you to strain yourself." Tohru couldn't see Kyo's face, but his tone of voice conveyed his worry.

"I'm okay! I'd tell you if what we were doing was too strenuous."

Kyo sighed through his nose as the rode down the bike lane a little faster. "Okay, I believe you."

Tohru hummed a little song as they passed by many colorful restaurants and shops. The city was bustling, bursting with life. People were everywhere; Kyoto was a famous tourist attraction.

"Where do ya wanna go?" Kyo asked as they passed a crowd of people.

"Hmm...oh yeah! There's a bike trail along the Kamo River. Then, we can get to the botanical gardens from there!" Tohru was so excited that she had been googling many places to go late into the night the previous day. Kyo was half asleep, but he'd nod at things she showed him and voice interest at the best ideas.

"Tohru, you sure? That's a little while of biking, and then you want to go straight into walking. We should take a break when we get to the botanical gardens at least."

Tohru made a face. "I'm fine! I'll be okay! But if that's what you really want, we'll take a break once we get there." She conceded. She didn't want to argue with Kyo about it.

"Thank you." Kyo sounded more relieved than he had realized he was.

The pair continued to ride towards the trail, but Kyo called for them to stop once they were close. He bought a couple bottles of water from a nearby vending machine and returned quickly, passing one immediately to Tohru.

They hadn't known about the bike having a basket until after they'd rented it, so they didn't bring along water since they had nothing to carry it in.

They rested for a bit before continuing, Kyo putting both bottles in the basket. "Wow, look at how beautiful the river is! And the trees are gorgeous this time of year!" Tohru exclaimed. It was true; in the late summer, plants seemed to have extra vibrancy to them.

"Yeah. Maybe we should try and look for river monsters while we're here." Kyo's tone sounded serious, to which Tohru answered with a "E-Eh? River monsters?"

"I'm kidding with ya, Tohru." Kyo couldn't help the way affection seeped into his voice. Tohru was so lovable. His sweet, spacey, beautiful Tohru. He wouldn't change her for anything.

Tohru's face reddened, and she giggled awkwardly. "O-Oh. Whoops." Despite Kyo's constant, relentless teasing, his dry humor sometimes fell flat on her, flustering her. She'd believe he was being entirely serious until he told her otherwise (most of the time at least).

Kyo laughed, and they continued their fun conversations as they took in the sights of the river and trail. Before they knew it, they'd reached the botanical gardens.

Kyo warned Tohru to slow down, and they matched paces to stop.

Both of them were slightly sweaty, and Tohru was a bit out of breath. Kyo led her to a bench, dragging the bike along. They sat side by side, drinking water and listening to the birds chirping nearby.

"Are you okay, Tohru?" Kyo asked after finishing of his water and throwing it (and landing it) into the nearest trash can from where they were sitting.

"Mhm! I feel great!" Tohru stressed, but she slumped into his side nonetheless, her eyes closing. Kyo wrapped his arm around her and kissed the top of her head. "Good job," he praised quietly.

Tohru giggled tiredly. "Thanks."

They stayed silent for a while, just trying to get some energy back by resting. Kyo shut his eyes as well, but almost as soon as he did, Tohru perked up and nudged him. "Kyo!"

Kyo blinked and sat up a little. "Yeah, Toh?" Before he could even finish his thought, Tohru put the palm of her hand over the back of his and moved it to her stomach. "He kicked again, Kyo!" Her voice was filled with pride.

Kyo was instantly much more awake and alert as soon as the words left her mouth. "He did? Dammit, I missed it!" He cursed, angry at the sudden wave of tiredness that had washed over him.

"It's okay! He'll probably try to do it again." Tohru soothed, gently squeezing Kyo's hand. They sat for only another minute before another kick hit against Tohru's stomach, and then another one hit their hands. Both of their faces instantly lit up.

Tohru couldn't help but giggle. Their baby was still too small to kick hard, and he'd only started kicking a week ago, so it was more of a fluttery feeling.

"That's our boy..." Kyo mumbled fondly, looking as in awe as he did the day their son first kicked.

"Yeah." Tohru giggled more, happy tears gathering in her eyes.

"I still can't believe this is happening." Kyo used his free hand to wipe a couple tears from Tohru's cheeks, his voice gentle.

"Sometimes I can't either, but you know, we always dreamed of this!" Tohru sniffled and smiled radiantly up at her husband. "We dreamed of this life together, and now it's a reality! I believe it. I knew we'd pull through somehow."

Kyo laughed softly, kissing her temple and staring up at the blue sky. "Yeah. I just never expected my dreams to become reality. I wanted to find a way to be with you. But I was supposed to be locked away, so I tried to shut down those feelings and relish in the short time I had with you until the day we'd be separated," his gaze flickered back to her, "but that time never would've been enough. Hell, a whole lifetime wouldn't be enough, Tohru. I want to be with you forever. I don't want us to ever have to end." He typically wasn't this sappy, especially out loud (at least if he only thought sappy things there was no auditory proof), but it might've been the burst of affection he felt from feeling their unborn son kick.

More tears slowly cascaded down Tohru's cheeks, flustering Kyo a bit. Even though she was always a crybaby, he felt bad when she cried after he said something. "H-Hey, it's okay. We're not gonna end, okay?"

"No, no, it's not that." Tohru sniffled and shook her head, smiling gently. "I just...whenever you say these kinds of things, it's like my heart soars out of my chest. Your words are so precious to me, Kyo. I'll treasure them always."

Kyo blushed and looked away. "You don't gotta take 'em that serious, Tohru. They're just words."

"Of course I do! Your words mean so much to me, Kyo. I could never not take them seriously. They come from your heart. That's why they're important." Tohru defended with quiet passion, pulling out a handkerchief to wipe her tears and nose. Kyo fell silent, in thought. Tohru really had a way of changing his entire perspective on really anything.

Once she pocketed her handkerchief again, he laid a closed fist against her hair. "No more tears, okay?" He sounded almost worried, but there was a twinge of fondness to his voice.

Tohru sniffled and grinned lightly at Kyo. "No more tears." She repeated and closed the distance between them, their lips meeting in a sweet kiss. They kissed a couple more times, tiny kisses that gave them butterflies.

When they pulled away, another light kick hit Tohru's stomach, and she giggled. "Guess he wants us to get going." She commented, and Kyo laughed at the idea and ruffled her hair. "Okay, let's go."

Thus, the pair set off to explore the botanical gardens. Tohru took pictures here and there, and she asked passerbys to take photos of them in a couple places because she wanted to remember this trip forever.

Once they'd had their fill of seeing the gardens, they left on the tandem bicycle, riding back to the hotel. The sun still hung high in the sky above them, and the sunny weather kept them both in a good mood even though all the biking was beginning to get exhausting.

"Wanna go chill in bed for a while?" Kyo asked once they got back up to their room, flicking on the light switch.

Tohru nodded. "Mhm!" They took off their shoes and headed over to their bed, and Kyo turned on the TV to have some background noise. As soon as they were under the covers, Tohru snuggled into Kyo's side, grateful for his warmth. Kyo kissed her forehead and held her close. He figured she was sleepy, and sure enough, within five minutes she was sound asleep in his arms.

He chuckled lightly and changed the channel to watch a movie that was on, but he ended up falling asleep after watching it for only a few minutes, apparently being more tired than he thought he was.

5:07 PM

Tohru awakened to an old movie playing in the background and Kyo holding her, fast asleep. She couldn't help but smile; he looked like an angel, especially when he slept.

She brushed his bangs out of his face and admired his handsomeness. She looked over to the TV and watched it for a few minutes before extracting herself from Kyo's embrace to go pee.

Once she returned, Kyo was sitting up on the bed and sleepily running his hands through his hair to smooth it.

Tohru's brow creased in worry, feeling guilty suddenly. "I didn't cause you to wake up, did I?"

"Nah," Kyo immediately reassured her, looking over towards her as she crawled back onto the bed, "I woke up after you already were gone. Baby make you pee?" He questioned, and Tohru curled into Kyo's waiting embrace.

"Mhm," she replied against his shirt. "What time is it?"

Kyo lifted his phone from the beside table to check it. "5:13." He answered. "We probably should get ready to go to the festival so we can eat dinner at a decent time."

"Okay! But we should shower before we get changed into our kimonos." Tohru noted, sitting up properly with Kyo's arm still slung around her.

"Yeah, that's probably a good idea." Kyo agreed, stroking her hair once before they both stood up.

They both took off their clothes, reduced to their undergarments, but before Tohru could go further, Kyo caught one of her wrists. "Hmm? A-Ah, Kyo!"

Kyo had gently tugged her back towards him, her cheek resting against his toned chest. His body heat warmed her, and she could hear and feel his steady heartbeat against her cheek and ear.

"What was that for?" Tohru whispers with a small laugh, a smile tugging at her lips as she hugged him back.

Kyo tightened his embrace a little, holding his wife closer. "You're just so beautiful, Tohru. I love you. I just wanna hold you for a minute."

"Okay."

They stayed like that for longer than a minute, relishing in each other's warmth and close, yet gentle touch.

Kyo slowly moved one hand from around Tohru to down to her stomach. She was just barely showing, her belly only slightly protruding. If she wore baggy enough clothing, probably no one would know she was expecting (aside from the ones who were explicitly told already).

Tohru smiled, looking up at Kyo, but he wasn't looking at her face anymore. His gaze was trained on her belly.

"We still want to name him Hajime, right?" Kyo asked, still looking down at her stomach.

"Of course. It's the perfect name for him." Tohru said softly.

Kyo sunk to his knees, getting eye-level with her belly and kissing it lightly.

She blushed a little at the small, intimate gesture. "We love you, Hajime." She heard him whisper, but she was pretty sure he didn't mean for her to hear him by the way he said it - only their baby.

They'd decided on the name Hajime once they found out their baby would be a boy.

||Hajime - beginning, command to begin in a sparring match||

It immediately drew their attention. Not only did it connect to Kyo's love of martial arts and his training, but it connected to both of them together as a couple - it was the beginning of their lives together, the beginning of a new life that they created.

Kyo gave Tohru's stomach another affectionate rub before standing back up to his full height. "Let's go shower now before it gets too late."

"Okay!" Tohru chirped as Kyo took her hand and led her over to the bathroom.

After the two showered, Kyo blow dried Tohru's hair for her with the provided hotel hair dryer. She brushed and styled her hair into a braided bun when her hair was dry, and they got into their kimonos.

Kyo's kimono was a plain light blue, and Tohru's was a deep purple with pretty pink flower designs on it.

Finally, it was festival time! It was a couple blocks down, and Kyo fretted over Tohru the whole way there, but they made it to the festival site easily and without breaking a sweat.

Tohru's eyes sparkled at the magnificence of the festival; there were stalls set up for as far as the eye could see. There were also many people packed into the area, both workers and visitors alike.

"Look at how many stalls there are, Kyo! I can't believe there are this many of them!"

Kyo chuckled at his wife's excitement, taking the sights in as well, albeit slower than her. "Damn, guess we have to go to all of them now." A smug smile tugged at his lips.

Before Tohru could protest there was no way they could see it all in one night, Kyo patted her head gently. "Kidding."

They ventured around the stalls for a while. "Do you want taiyaki, Kyo?" Tohru asked him as they walked, her arms wrapped around one of his arms.

"Yeah, sure."

Tohru gently tugged Kyo along, still holding his arm. They arrived at the stall and paid for a couple taiyaki before they continued along, eating while looking at the different vendors.

They planned on just eating different foods at the festival instead of a proper dinner since it was a special occasion.

"We should probably pay our respects to the local shrine while we're here." Kyo mused after they passed a shrine maiden.

"E-Eep! I totally forgot about that!" Tohru's face pinked. "Yeah, we definitely should do that!"

"Wanna do that now or what?"

"Probably now. We wouldn't want to forget to come back later."

There was a particularly large gathering further along. A crowd of people were watching the shrine maidens of this particular shrine do their traditional dance and rituals.

Tohru held onto Kyo's arm as they watched the dance, and after it was over, they paid their respects to the shrine as well as everyone else who was around them to watch. They put money in the offering box, prayed, and went back to the main road of the festival.

"Kyo, Kyo, look!" Tohru's gaze was directed at a stall with a paper net goldfish catching game. "We should play some games while we're here!"

"You're in charge, Tohru. Whatever you wanna do is fine with me." It wasn't that Kyo went along with everything; he just wanted to let Tohru choose what she wanted them to do. She was so excited for today specifically, and he wanted to let her plan it all to her heart's content. Seeing her happy was more than enough for him.

They walked over and talked to the vendor about fishing for goldfish. All of Kyo's nets ripped from his forceful actions and overall impatience, but Tohru managed to snag a goldfish with her very last net. Kyo was impressed, given Tohru's clumsy streak, and he curled a fist and lightly bumped her head, congratulating her.

She happily watched the fish swim around in the bag, watching it swish its tail around and explore the bag.

Kyo caught her attention when he spoke up. "Will you be okay to go sit while I get us some more food? You should rest your feet. We've been walking for a while."

"I'll be okay! I'll sit down!" Tohru promised with a nod.

Kyo kissed Tohru's temple before heading off to another stall. Tohru continued to watch the goldfish and coo at it until she heard some nearby, very soft crying.

There was a little boy sitting away from the stalls on a bench by himself, rubbing at his eyes as he cried.

Tohru frowned and approached the little boy. She took a breath to steady herself before she crouched down to his height on the bench. She didn't want to startle him by immediately sitting next to him. "Are you lost?" Her voice was soothing and quiet, and the child immediately perked up.

"N-No, my mommy is going to the bathroom. I'm so lonely, and I don't like being by myself..." The little boy hugged himself.

"My name is Tohru. Do you want me to sit next to you until she comes back out? You won't be alone if I'm here with you." She smiled at him, and the little boy nodded quickly.

Tohru stood back up properly and took a seat next to the boy, who quickly became transfixed on the goldfish in the bag she was holding. "Woahhhh, you caught a goldfish?"

Tohru's lips stretched into a wide smile. "I sure did! Do you want to hold the bag to get a closer look at him?"

The little boy's cheeks flushed. "May I?"

Tohru giggled and gently passed the bag to the little boy, who marveled at the goldfish, watching him swim around.

"What's his name?"

"I just won him, so I haven't given him a name yet. How about you name him for me?" Tohru offered cheerfully.

The child had to think about this, but he had a determined look on his face when he looked back up at Tohru from the goldfish. "Hmm...Arata! He's going to be big and strong!"

"You think so?" Tohru couldn't help but giggle at the excitement in the child's eyes.

"Yeah!"

Tohru thought for a moment. "Hmm...how about this. Why don't you take care of him for me?"

"Like you're giving him to me?" The child's eyes sparkled. "Are you sure?"

Tohru's gaze softened further. "I'm completely sure. He can be your best buddy. Make sure to take very good care of him though, okay?"

"I will! Thank you, Miss Tohru!" The boy was bouncing in his seat and practically radiating with joy at receiving a new pet.

A woman emerged from the restrooms.

The little boy waved to his mother wildly with his free hand. "Mommy, look who I met! Her name is Tohru! She sat with me because I was scared and gave me a goldfish!"

The woman frowned and bowed deeply. "Thank you, Tohru. I hope my son wasn't a burden."

"No, not at all! Really, it was a pleasure." Tohru said pleasantly with a simple wave of her hand, causing the woman's face to brighten.

The child got up and took his mother's hand with his free hand not holding the goldfish bag.

"Oh, you never told me your name!" Tohru called out to the child as he headed off with his mother. He turned around and grinned. "I'm Hajime!"

Tohru's face broke into a huge smile, her whole face lighting up. She felt a happy, warm feeling in her stomach. 'Maybe...maybe this is a good luck sign. Take care, Hajime and Arata.'

Not even a minute later, Kyo was in front of her.

"Tohru."

Tohru perked up at hearing her name, startled out of her reverie. She must've zoned out again. "Hmm?"

"Back with the food." Kyo held up said food to prove his point.

"Ah! Thanks, Kyo." Tohru kissed Kyo's cheek as he made himself comfortable next to her on the bench.

"You're welcome. So what was that all about?" Kyo jerked his head in the direction of the retreating mother and son duo while taking a bite of his baked sweet potato. He passed Tohru hers.

"Oh! Well, the little boy was crying. His mom was just in the bathroom. I tried to cheer him up."

"Where's your goldfish?"

"I gave it to him."

Kyo smiled fondly at Tohru, still in awe of his wife's selflessness. She gave everything she had at every chance she got. He kissed her cheek. "You're amazing, Tohru. I love you."

Tohru blushed at the compliment, her feet fidgeting a little in her sandals. "Thanks. I love you too."

They finished up eating their sweet potatoes, chatting idly about the festival.

Once they were done, Tohru begged Kyo to play one of the games at the vendors. Since Kyo was naturally very competitive (courtesy of his and Yuki's old feud), he definitely didn't say no to playing a game for her. Besides, he could show off in front of her a little.

"You can do it, Kyo!" Tohru cheered from behind him.

Kyo blushed, embarrassed by the praise in public and stopping short mid-swing, the ring still in his hand. "Tohru, cut it out."

"Why? I'm hyping you up!" She made two determined fists for emphasis.

"Okay, okay..." Kyo sighed, but not unhappily, trying to will the blush on his face down before he started to play.

He managed to land all of the rings on the one pole...after two more tries. Luckily he didn't go any longer, because he was getting increasingly more frustrated.

"What prize would you like?" The worker running the vendor asked Kyo with a smile.

Kyo nudged Tohru forward. She looked over the stuffed toy prizes. She looked up at the worker after making her decision. "May I have one of the light blue bears please?"

The worker happily passed the stuffed animal to Tohru. "Here you are. Thank you two for playing!"

Tohru and Kyo bowed respectfully to the worker, and they linked arms as they walked away. A minute later, Tohru realized something, and she shook Kyo's arm.

"Kyo! We have to get something for Yuki, Machi, Shigure, Kisa, Hiro, Momiji, Haru, Rin-" She tried saying all in one breath.

Kyo stopped walking, looking at her. "Woah, woah, woah, Tohru. We don't have that kind of money to buy everyone a souvenir."

Tohru frowned, but she didn't let that thought shake her good mood. "That's true...I guess we can just get something for Yuki and Machi to share, something for Kisa, and something for Momiji."

"Whatever you want."

Tohru had another idea and gasped. "Let's buy something for Hajime!"

Kyo blinked at Tohru. "Like a stuffed animal?"

"Yeah! So that way he already has a toy when he's born." She clapped her hands together happily.

"Okay." Kyo chuckled and ruffled Tohru's hair affectionately.

They pursued the stalls for the perfect gifts for their friends and unborn son for about forty-five minutes, and then they sat back down since Tohru's feet hurt from all the walking.

Tohru started to doze off against Kyo's shoulder while sitting on the bench. They'd been out for most of the day, and she was pretty tired out.

Kyo gently shook her a little while later, still holding her close with his arm. "Hey Tohru, the fireworks are gonna start in a couple minutes. Wake up." His voice was soft and filled with affection.

"Huh? Already?" Tohru yawned, looking up at Kyo and blinking as she tried to get readjusted to her surroundings.

"Yeah, silly. You've been asleep for like a half hour." Kyo deadpanned.

Tohru immediately became flustered. "Wait, what? How? I'm sorry, I-"

"Relax, Tohru. It's not a big deal. I let ya sleep. It's been a long day. Don't worry about it." Kyo kissed her temple sweetly, and she calmed down.

The first few fireworks lit up the night sky with brilliant reds, blues, greens, golds, and silvers. The fireworks seemed to go off all around them, giving the illusion that fireworks were all over the sky and not just overhead.

They watched them together quietly, but Tohru was bouncing excitedly in her seat from watching. Kyo couldn't help but look at her for a while during the fireworks show instead of at the main event.

Tohru was too transfixed on the fireworks to notice his gaze, but he watched how her face lit up with colors from the fireworks and from her happiness. He wished he could take a picture of her beautiful visage, but pictures wouldn't do her beauty justice. Besides, it was more valuable to live in the moment. He cherished the moments he could see her as happy as this.

Unfortunately, the fireworks show was all too short for them since nothing lasts forever, and Kyo kissed his wife meaningfully before she could say anything else. In that one small moment, he just wanted to forget the world around him and focus on her.

Kyo knew that whatever life would throw at them, everything would be okay. As long as he could make her smile and see her happy, shining brightly just as she was today, that was enough to fuel him through any of life's challenges.

"Kyo? What was that for?" Tohru gave him a puzzled glance once they pulled away from each other.

"Shh. Just live in the moment, Tohru." And he kissed her again.

11:04 PM

"I'm so happy we did so much today! It was a lot of fun." Tohru exclaimed happily once she and Kyo returned to their hotel room. They got changed for bed and put their rented kimonos neatly back on the hangers in the closet.

"Yeah, we had a good day." Kyo agreed, a small smile dancing across his lips. Seeing Tohru happy made him happier than anything. While he was glad to take a trip with her, he would've been content with doing just about anything back home to see her smile.

"We should look at-"

"Nope," Kyo took Tohru's phone and set it on the nightstand, "phone off. We'll figure out tomorrow's plan tomorrow. It's been a long day. You need your sleep, Tohru."

Tohru stuck out her lower lip in a pout, but she nodded in understanding. "Ohhh, okay."

Kyo pulled Tohru close to his chest once they were both under the covers, turning off the bedside lamp.

"Tohru?"

"Yes?"

"Let's make more memories tomorrow."

Tohru's face broke into a huge smile, and even in the darkness, Kyo could tell it was there.

"Okay!"

The couple eventually fell asleep, exhausted but happy from the day's events. Tomorrow would be a whole new adventure, and neither of them could wait to see what the rest of their honeymoon would entail.

Author's Note: This one-shot is dedicated to my very best friend, Blue. She requested Kyohru fluff, so of course I had to oblige! :D This one is a step up from the last one, mainly because I made this one a lot longer. I really wanted to put an especially creative spin on what I was writing! So, I did a fair bit of research to make this one-shot a bit more believable :) I looked up popular festivals in Japan (called matsuri), and one is always held in late summer! I decided it would be really cute for Kyo and Tohru to go to a festival on their honeymoon :) I hope you enjoyed this one shot! I may make another chapter depending on feedback, since really this one-shot has an open ending to do more with it :) Thanks for checking it out! It means a lot! Until next time!
