Breaking Point
Madison had her bad days in the past. But none were as severe as when she almost died at the hands of King Ghidorah in Boston. Because of this, she was diagnosed with PTSD, and the young girl would get nightmares. She was reliving the horrific events. Sometimes it would have either Emma or Andrew with the golden demon. Some weren't as bad as the ones before.
And among those bad days are the ones during school hours on the weekdays. Madison had her fair share of bullying like any other kid would have, though hers was different. Every kid knows about her mother and her "obsession" with Godzilla, which made her a target. She would ignore the bullying or give them a good punch to the nose to get her point across. And she did try to ignore the remarks and about her personal life. Most of it came from Lara and Alicia.
At least she was glad that Josh was there to comfort her and be there to pull her away before she did something she would regret later on…This was not one of those days.
Madison tried to head back home, only for Lara and Alicia blocking her path with some bystanders watching. The teenage girl wasn't with Josh to reel her back from her aggressive nature. But she didn't need him. Not right now. She wanted to handle this and prove she's a mature girl heading to womanhood. When it came to the two bullies, Lara was the one who did the harassing and the insults to the last remaining Russell child. Madison even recalled Lara even mocked Emma's death and said she deserved it. It was where Madison got a month-long suspension, and Lara only got two-week detention.
She hated both Lara and the principal. Believing the principal did this because of her mother. Nonetheless, she had to prove she can do it. She can't remember what Lara said when she blocks her path, knowing she didn't respond, and pushed her and Alicia aside. It all went well until she heard one word the blonde shout out between her sentences.
"Why don't you go say hi to your mother and brother for me?"
That caused her to stop in her tracks. Her eyes dilated, and all sounds around her went silent. The students and passing teachers heard, all waiting for the brunette to respond. Even Alicia was surprised to see her friend doing something that could push Madison off the edge. Lara did not care. She still held her usual mocking grin. The brunette was waiting for the right moment to get her little plaything into trouble. It wasn't what she hoped.
Madison was already up close to her, not paying attention, daydreaming the thought of Madison Russell breaking down and crying. No, all she saw was the girl's fist making contact with her nose, causing the silence to break with an audible sound of bone breaking. And a high pitch scream filling the area. Lara backed away, covering her bleeding nose.
"Y-You bi—" she sputtered, but she didn't get another word out as Madison tackled her and begin to punch her again and again.
Everyone was stun and speechless as Lara screamed and cried for someone to save her. No one budges an inch as they watch in horror with Lara trying to get her hands on Madison's hair but failing. Madison kept on going until she felt something pulling her away from the beaten blonde.
"Let me go!" she screamed.
"Madison, stop it!" Josh's voice called out as he held her with all his strength he could muster.
He could feel Madison's right hand pushing against his face, smearing his face with blood from Lara's broken nose and lips. Madison flails and screams like a wild animal. He has never seen her like this, judging by the state the school bully was in, and it didn't take long for what happened.
"Calm down, Madison!" Josh pleaded, "You need to calm down!"
But it fell into deaf's ear.
"Let me go! I'm going to kill her!" she screams with pure hatred in her words, "You don't talk about my brother that way! You hear me, Lara!?"
Lara was pull back by Alicia and a teacher who all looked at the crazed girl. Lara looks in horror to see the girl she bullied for two years, which became something she never thought possible. Even with her friend holding the brunette to prevent her from committing homicide. She could see Madison's brown eyes shrunk with tears rolling down her cheeks and teeth grinding. With some of Lara's blood splattered on Madison's left cheek.
All this could get Madison expelled for assault, but that wasn't on the teenage girl's mind in the slightest. With Josh holding her tight as she continues to struggle to get free from his grip. She never broke contact with the blonde bully and already sending the message clear as her mind was already near the breaking point. Madison could handle the name-calling and insults about her; Monarch, Godzilla, her mother, and her father. But no one, NO ONE, should ever attack Andrew or use him to bully the broken girl with what little security she had in her mind! To Madison, it was a fate worse than death.
And Lara has made it to Madison's personal "Blacklist."
